St. John's Chapel by the Creek

Wow is all I can say! My fiancée and I went and toured this venue today and it was LOVE at first sight! Leslie, Mike, and John are wonderful. Leslie has made me feel so at ease about our upcoming wedding! They have treated us like royalty and completely won us over in just one visit! I felt like I have known Lelsie forever the way she read my mind on ideas and design. We have chosen this as our venue and I can't wait to get married here!!!

We had our wedding at St. John's Chapel by the Creek on April 19th 2014. Words cannot describe how perfect this venue was. First of all, Leslie, Mike and John are the perfect Christian family who will bend over backwards to make you feel special. Leslie is amazing at what she does and made everything so easy. we didn't even need to hire a wedding planner since we had her. The venue is stunning. The chapel is beautiful and gives an intimate feel to your ceremony. The outside is perfect for stunning pictures and the inside is so perfect you don't even need to add flowers/decorations. The creek and bridge are so romantic! It was like we were taken back in time with the nature, blooming dogwoods and elegant music playing outside. The terrace was a perfect mixture of outside fun and country chic elegance. The back patio and fire out were ideal for games, s'mores, photo booths, food and drinks. Our guests had the most amazing time and all talked about how they wanted to never leave the venue. It was beyond perfect! I cannot have imagined getting married anywhere else or with any other coordinators than Leslie and her family. I'm gonna try and convince all my friends and family to get married here so I can come back as much as possible :)

Lori and I got married on Friday, March 21st, 2014. Our experience with the venue and with Mike and Leslie was exemplary. Mike and Leslie were extremely helpful both prior to and during the wedding. As a result, our wedding was absolutely beautiful and unforgettable. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Leslie is very organized and she helps couples anticipate all the million little things that go into the planning of a wedding. On the day, she helps to ensure that everyone is where they are supposed to be. The chapel is beautifully constructed. It is absolutely breathtaking inside and out. Between the chapel and the creek and the bridge and the new stone walkway, there are many fantastic photo opportunities. One example of the attention to detail is the collection of concealed speakers outside of the chapel. As your guests arrive, they are greeted by music even before they enter the chapel. If I could give this review six stars, I would.

My daughter Rachel got married at St. John's in June, and we first met with Mike to check out the amenities in very early spring. From the very beginning, they were extremely courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. Rachel and I planned to do all the decorating and flowers ourselves, but didn't have many ideas about caterers or bakeries. Leslie was very helpful in making suggestions, but didn't try to force any one choice on us. Of course, as any business does, they have guidelines set up to protect their property and ensure the safety of their guests, but otherwise they were very open to our choices and plans. If I had questions, Leslie was quick to answer my emails or calls. At the pre-wedding meeting just a few weeks before the wedding, she went over all the tiny little details that I might have forgotten otherwise, from ushers, to servers, to music details, if there were any elderly in the family who might have trouble walking, etc. At rehearsal, Leslie and Mike took charge and kept things running smoothly and efficiently, which would not have been the case otherwise. They helped with fine-tuning, when who needed to be where, etc. Their attention to detail is amazing. On the wedding day, they had the tables and chairs set up when we arrived and immediately went to work helping us get everything in place. Mike worked with the caterer and the deejay to get set up, and they both worked tirelessly on helping make the day as seamless and stress free as possible. They were involved in every aspect of the day, and for someone who has never planned one wedding before from start to finish, they were invaluable! Afterwards, they made to go food boxes for the bride and groom, boxed up all the food, and helped clear up. They made sure nothing was forgotten, and we ended a memorable event feeling like they were family too! I feel that they take a personal interest and pride in making sure each wedding is a truly one of a kind, special day! Excellent venue, excellent service!

I got married in May and I must say it was everything I ever dreamed of and then some! My wedding was outside and the Chapel was out back ground which made for some amazing pictures! One of the great things about having your wedding there is you get to have your bridals done there as well. I was so stressed out the day of my wedding in the beginning simply because I was nervous. Leslie took care of everything for me the day of the wedding. She made sure everyone was on time and in there place. She was never rude or out of line by any means! She just knows from experience you have to tell people to do what you need to be done! I had wine, champagne, and kegs at my wedding and yes you need someone to serve the beverages but she tells you before hand so that is something you already know up front. I had it catered by Riverside and they did an amazing job as well I was very pleased Leslie recommended them to us. I had one of my family members do all the decorating from tables to the bouquets we all carried. She does have someone she works closely with if you need someone and I have seen the pictures they do a very good job. Leslie was very professional the entire time from the day we looked at the chapel until after we got married. They do have several golf carts to help with elder people to get around as well as bringing all your decorations over for you. That is very handy and useful. The rehearsal was done there at the chapel the day before and with a lot of people you have to be professional but make sure you get the point across and Leslie did both that. She saw I was getting frustrated that day with a few people and she handled it in a very calmly and in a professional way. Leslie will let you know up front on what to expect and what she will and will not allow. But that is why her entire place is beautiful! At the end of the night I couldn't thank her and her husband enough because my wedding was more than I ever dreamed of from start to finish! I would have my wedding there again in a heartbeat!!! I have already thought about renewing my vows in about 10 years there again simply because I have no doubt she will still be there and it will still look amazing! So if you want some place where the owner will take all the burden off of you and help decorate before and help clean up after and have the wedding of your dreams then you MUST have it at St. John's Chapel by the Creek!!! I forgot one thing...one of our groomsmen is in a wheel chair and he had no problem getting around at all even in the chapel where all the guys were getting ready that was a huge plus we had to have in our wedding as well!
