I purchased a mother of the bride pant suit from Stacy’s bridal on October 2nd 2022 for my daughter’s September 2023 wedding. I was measured by the attendant and the suit was ordered in the size the attendant said I needed. The Jasmine couture dress arrived in January 2023. When I tried on the pant suit for the first time it was way too large on me. It was a full size, maybe two sizes, too large. The attendant said it needed to be shortened. I said not just shortened the entire outfit is too big. I could put it on without unzipping the top or pants. Everything was falling off of me. The owner of the shop agreed that the suit should have been ordered in a smaller size but assured me that it would be made right and would fit beautifully. I was told to take the suit home and come back July first for my fitting.
On July 1st I met again with the shops owner and the shops seamstress for my fitting. Again I was told the suit was too large but would be fitted to look beautiful. The shop owner asked if I had lost weight. I had not.
3 weeks later I called the shop back I had not received any call or text letting me know it was time for a final fitting and I was getting anxious. I was told at that time that Stacy’s policy was to wait until a couple weeks before the wedding to do the final fitting. I asked if the final fitting could be moved up, it made me nervous to wait until just two weeks before the wedding to make sure my pantsuit fit correctly. On August 21 I went in to do the final try on and the suit was a mess. The jacket was still way too big thru the back, but the sleeves were so tight I couldn’t get my arms all the way thru them. I was told by the seamstress that she would make my outfit a priority at that point and it would be ready in two days. Three days later I still did not have a call back from the shop so I called first thing Friday morning and was told it would be later the next day before it was ready. The next day was the Saturday before my daughters wedding and my schedule was completely full. I asked if I could pick up the outfit later that day on Friday.
I was told my suit would be ready by four pm.
Words can’t describe how disappointed and heartbroken I was to see the suit. The new seams were puckered, the shoulders were oddly shaped the sleeves were uneven. The entire alteration was botched.
I didn’t have the mental fortitude to go on with the debacle this close to the wedding, so I took the suit and left.
Thankfully I was able to purchase a beautiful outfit from Dillard’s off the rack that afternoon to wear to the wedding. The outfit I paid 600.00 for still hangs in the bag in my closet. It will never be worn. I did take the Stacy’s suit to a cleaners to stream. Since Stacy’s refused to do that for me. I was hoping that steaming would relax some of the puckering. It did not.
Stacy’s Bridal had almost an entire year to get my outfit right and didn’t. The entire process was stressful and disappointing.
If I could give 0 or 1/2 a star I would. -100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! Dealing with this store was a complete nightmare. What was supposed to be an enjoyable experience/part of wedding planning was the WORST part. When originally shopping for my dress I was told by a manager that I was fat and that it was my fault for their inventory being low in my size even though I am several sizes smaller than their largest size they sell. Then the same person told us they wouldn't have a problem finding a glitter tulle in a specific color. I'm glad I started alterations early since it took 8 visits to find the correct color of material, have my dress in 1 piece, and then the correct material attached to the dress. Literally said I wanted champagne tulle with champagne glitter. They gave me hot pink tulle with hot pink glitter, champagne with hot pink glitter, orange/peach, silver, gold, and even polka dotted glitter! They finally found a random black grocery bag on the floor in a corner with the correct tulle. Agreed to it and came back the next appt only to find my dress was in 2 pieces. Got zero phone calls to let me know ahead of time and I live 30 mins away, one way. Same manager from before blamed me and made light of the entire amount of screw ups on their part. She also magically had appts available later that same appt packed solid day even though I called 2 weeks prior to reschedule only to be told there weren't any available for the remainder of August. So as angry as I was I went back to try on the dress later that same day after its in one piece only to find the wrong material on my dress! The same manager tried again to blame this on me. I demanded she go find the correct material and unbelieveably she found it in 5 mins after denying its existence. Got it attached to my dress finally and came back 2 weeks later for final fitting. Dress was okay, had some excess cut material and different colored thread embedded in the skirt, and pieces of lace awkwardly on the shoulder. Same freaking manager again tried to make light of the entire experience, asks to hug me even though it was clear I was not happy with her specifically, and then asks for a good review with pics from the wedding. In my opinion she should be fired and a better tracking system for whatever cluster that store is.
Just a snippet. Terrible customer service and communication. They ordered the wrong color bridesmaid dresses and tried resolving the issue by supplying vests and ties to match the new color. Never mentioning a cost or return date if the items. Only to be harassed my entire honeymoon for the return of the items all while knowing none of our groomsmen were from the area. Then to be threatened with her lawyer because items weren’t back even though we told her we were in Florida. 0/10 would never recommend.
I absolutely LOVED the dress I chose from Stacey's Bridal. They were so willing to help and hear the vision I had. I was able to add some beautiful lace to my train, and the seamtress does amazing work! The great service had started to dwindle as the new owners were taking over, unfortunately. I had some styles I wanted to try on, but since it was over my budget, I never did. Even after mentioning it a dozen times, I was only shown my price range rack. Cost wise, alterations were quite reasonable, but man, my veil was pricey!
Stacey's Bridal was by far the most stressful aspect of my wedding. The store has come under new ownership in the last few months, and not for the better. Cassie displayed a serious lack of soft skills needed to run a customer-based business by pressuring me to buy a dress twice my budget, then pocketing $300 she had previously agreed to put towards in-store credit that I had planned to use for alterations and a veil. Her excuse was "I have overhead costs".
During my initial fitting, she wouldn't let me try on a dress to see if it was the style I liked because "you can't afford it. Sorry, just being honest". After two hours of getting frustrated, and feeling not listened to, I finally tried on a dress that was close to what I asked for, however when I told her I didn't want to buy it yet, because I had another appointment elsewhere, she told me I wouldn't be able to afford the competitor's dresses, so I should just buy from her, and play dress-up at the other store. This is not the place for the budget-consious bride, or anyone regardless of budget prioritzes customer service. I am not immune to the fact that the point of a business is to make money, but it should be passively by word of mouth after treating your customers with respect, and not after manipulating me into thinking you're my only option, pressuring me into spending twice what I said I could, then tipping yourself $300 after agreeing to use that money towards in-store credit. Because of this direct decision by the new owner I couldn't afford a veil, and I couldn't afford to hem my dress. What did Cassie have to say? "That's on you."
Saving grace: The small amount of staff she had inherited from the old owner were all very kind. They were trying to get me to apply for an open position at the store since they are understaffed, but as you can imagine I have no interest in working for a woman who treated me so poorly as a customer.
I did not utilize Stacey's for my wedding, but I ordered a maid of honor dress in November of 2019. I do not live in the Des Moines area, so I communicated my sizing information to the bride. These measurements were given to Stacey’s over the phone and written into a file. I typically wear a size 2 or 4, and this was communicated to Stacey’s at the time of ordering the dress.
Because of the pandemic, Stacey’s closed for a long period of time, and the bride was not able to pick up the ordered dress for several months. Once she obtained it and mailed it to me in Nebraska, it was noted to be a size 8, which is unbelievable considering the sizing information we had communicated.
I contacted Stacey’s over the phone late in the afternoon on a Thursday, and they noted that they were very busy and not very able to take my call. Regardless, I shared the situation and was put in touch with Stacey herself, who claimed to be the owner. She was very short with me and unaccommodating, stating that there was nothing she could do to remedy a situation that occurred over a year ago. She stated that the bride must have indicated the incorrect size (this is not the case, she gave the shop the exact measurements I had shared), and that there was no way to obtain a new dress. Additionally, she was not able to check the file or measurement information that was used because it was “in storage,” and her shop was too busy at the moment for her to go get it.
The only option she gave, though her shop had ordered the incorrect size, was to make an alteration appointment “at my cost.” She laughed and stated I should be happy I “did not gain weight during covid” (!) like others had and that my issue was that my dress was too large. She quickly ended the call with me, stating that she had “six other people on the line” and that she was very busy, unable or unwilling to help me further.
I’m not sure that this individual should be in the wedding industry. There are many emotions at play and significant amounts of money being spent. This shop had no problem cashing my check (in the high $200 range) for the dress the very day I sent payment, but failed to finalize with the bride the size being ordered. Standing behind an “all sales are final” approach is not great practice, in my opinion, and being unapologetic , confrontational, and rude to the customer when they call with concerns is not a good attitude to have.
I’m not familiar with the Des Moines area, but please seek your wedding attire elsewhere. It is not worth your time or money to work with a shop that is so difficult and unprofessional.
Buyer Beware - I had gone to Stacey's for a professional bra fitting (not a wedding gown). I had weight loss surgery in October 2020 and my weight had stabilized but I needed new bras. I was helped by someone who suggested I was now a 34DD "pushing an E". That is bigger than I have ever been when my size seemed smaller than I've been since high school in the cup. We tried several bras, net/net she said regarding the last 2 "those look very good, this is how a bra is supposed to fit." I bought them both for a total of $85. When they didn't work out, 1 cut my arm, 1 looked like it could fit someone 4 times my size, I called Stacey's to see about an exchange. I waited on hold for 22 minutes. Called back and was told to come into the store. No apology was issued and the owner (Stacey) said that they don't do returns only alterations. These bras were a horrible fit all the way around - no alteration would have made this right. Mind you, these are store brands not custom made bras. It was alterations or nothing from Stacey's standpoint. Zero attempt to make this right besides me alter the store brand bras. Who does that for store brand bras? I told her to just donate the bras since they were of no use to me. I then emailed her to fix the issue. She didn't respond for 2 days because she indicated she was too upset to respond. I sent a 2nd email providing my phone to call to resolve the issue. She responded very rudely via email. Net/net if you are looking for customer service, this is NOT your place. You can easily be fit and serviced at SOMA, Von Maur, or Victoria's Secret by companies that stand by their product and put the customer first. Very sad review to post considering my mother has done mastectomy business there for 25 years. I tried 4 different emails to resolve this matter before posting. Stacey wants to stick to her "No refund" stance and not provide me a store credit to choose something that fits and doesn't cut my arm. Hard to imagine how you'd be treated if you crossed her path unhappy about a wedding dress. Buyer beware!!!
Even during COVID, Stacey’s managed to alter my dress perfectly and have it ready just in time for the wedding!
The dressing area was super crowded and my guests that came with me could only see me from the side and couldn’t see anything I was trying on. I had even booked an appointment, so they knew we were coming . My wedding consultant also made me feel like I was too fat to fit into any dress they had (I only wear as 12/14, so average for women) The wedding consultant also stopped our consultation to go over and make comments on another bride’s dress multiple times. Highly unprofessional in my opinion when we were in the middle of talking about the dress I was currently wearing. I would not recommend to anyone.
If you want a comfortable experience where your consultant listens to your vision, respects your budget, and helps you find the perfect wedding dress, then Stacey's Bridal is not for you.
I would recommend Bridal Connection in Ankeny or Pure Bridal in Ames for a more pleasant, professional, and respectful experience.
I absolutely loved my wedding dress that I got from Stacey's. It was a dress designed by Stacey. It had lots of beading and a long, beautiful train. The dress was over my budget and Stacey let me purchase the sample dress I had tried on for my budget price. The process of finding that dress was a little bit rough though. I felt as if my consultant was picking out more of dresses she would like to wear or dresses that wouldn't fit me at all diminishing my confidence a bit on what is to be a joyful day. My fitting went great and it was fun to see the process of getting the dress to fit perfectly to me, but there was one clasp that my mom and I both mentioned at a fitting that we thought didn't seem secure and sure enough, that clasp broke during my first dance. Overall, I would say that it was a good experience and I would probably recommend it to others who are searching for a nice local place to purchase a dress.
Great service and beautiful dresses!
I would never recommend Stacey's Bridal to anyone. My first experience picking out my dress was fine but the lady that helped with that quit. Each time I went for a fitting or needed help there was mass confusion. It took over a month to get prices on tuxes. I called multiple times and was told it was being looked into. Finally, I just went with someone else that had outstanding customer service. I was called three times to set up an alteration appointment that I had already set up. The day of my wedding my Matron of Honor's zipper was stuck. I got married in Aruba so I had my cousin that was in Iowa reach out to Stacey's Bridal to have them Facetime with solutions. They were extremely rude and not helpful. They just kept saying it's so easy to fix.... but it wasn't. There was a defect in the zipper. I ended the call with I'll reach out when I get back to Iowa because I expect my money back then in a very rude/snarky tone I heard I doubt that's gonna happen. Luckily a very nice seamstress that was at the resort helped my Matron of Honor with a workaround so she was able to wear the dress..... but only for a few hours before the whole zipper ripped out.
We went with Stacey's bridal for our wedding in December--it was very last minute planned the entire wedding in just two months because I found out I was pregnant! As ecstatic as my husband and I were, I was nervous about finding a dress that might cover my growing belly and that would come in time! Luckily Stacey had GREAT suggestions and we basically ended up custom making my dress by combing two different dresses and it fit like an absolute dream and was done getting altered weeks before the wedding. It was perfect and so were the suits we ordered for my husband and his groomsmen! (they all still wear their suits to the offices they work in!) Just wanted to leave an amazing review since I had the best experience with Stacey and her team!!!
Extremely rude owner. Very confrontational. You can view her responses on google and see that she’s argumentive. It’s always “I’m sorry that you..” instead of just “I’m sorry” for the customers experience like it should be. She’s always turning it around on the customers. I had a very bad experience here 3 years ago, and have made sure they’ve lost a lot of business since.
I got my dress from Stacey’s, that Stacey had designed herself! It was a beautiful dress that was exactly what I wanted. It was the first dress I tried on at Stacey’s after trying on nearly 50 dresses at other boutiques. She custom made my veil so that the lace would match what was on my dress. It was stunning.
My only complaint is Stacey’s demeanor. She is straight to the point, does not sugar coat things, and always seems to be in a hurry or has other things to do than help you. I got exactly what I wanted in the end so I wasn’t extremely bothered by this.
I went to Stacey's looking for my perfect dress for my wedding day and I found one after only trying on a couple of dresses! My bridesmaids came that day with me to try on dresses too and we found the one we all loved and in the right color. A couple months before our wedding we went in to get the guys fitted for tuxes and that was a complete mess. The consultants didn't know how to measure and were trying to have me order slim fit as this would not work for the groom and half of the wedding party so I told them no slim fit tuxes. I called and verified several times that the tuxes weren't to be slim fit and they said yes that they had that on file. They called me and let me know the bridesmaids dresses were in, one of my bridesmaids tried it on in store and it was the wrong color and they insisted that was the color I chose, I showed them the picture of the dresses in the right color that the girls first tried on and they in fact ordered the wrong color. But it was my fault because I signed off on the order form and confirmed it was correct, they didn't know if they were able to get the dresses before my wedding and Stacey was on a "paradise vacation" as they told me so they couldn't do anything about it until she got back. They made me feel bad because Stacey had to deal with it while on her vacation time, when if it was done correctly the first time we wouldn't have this problem. Long story short, they got the right color a month before my wedding, they ordered slim fit tuxes, and alterations were way too expensive. Someone always told me something different, I could never get a clear answer and Stacey reprimanded her team in front of me numerous times. I loved my dress and my day turned out perfect, but this was the biggest hassle and shouldn't have caused this much stress.
Abby was my bridal gown consultant and she is hands-down the coolest! My mother and I were thoroughly impressed with her professionalism, humor, and knowledge - I found my dress and couldn't be happier! She made me feel absolutely beautiful. When we returned to purchase the gown, Abby and the other consultants were such a joy to speak with. PLUS STACEY WAS THERE - she's the cat's pajammas if you get the chance to work with her as well. We will be returning to look at bridesmaid dresses, as well as groomsmen tuxes. Thank you for running such a top-knotch store; you have made wedding planning a little less stressful!
Do not go here for bras. Way over priced show you 2 options and then you are not allowed to return for your money back. I went to lane bryant and bought 2 bras for half the price of one bra here and they were much friendlier. Will never shop here and recommend you do not either. Big rip off.
Wonderful service! At my bridal appointment I worked with Mariym, who was absolutely wonderful! I wasn't planning on finding my dress that day but I did. After some rude comments made by a family member I lost all confidence in my dress so I called to make another appointment to get that bridal feeling back, they were able to get me in the next day. The owner and other consultants reassured me and helped me get that feeling back. I am looking forward to working with Mariyam to find the perfect bridesmaids dresses and tuxes for my bridal party! Thank you again Stacey's!
GO elsewhere! Disastrous business with a liar as an owner who sells dresses that are crap!
I had been a while since I was in, but wanted to share my experience while visiting Stacey’s. My sister and I brought my friend shopping for a wedding gown. We pull the dresses and helped get my friend in them. The only thing I remember the consultant saying to us was “take off your shoes” as we entered, and it wasn’t it a nice way. My friend Kate did end up purchasing a gown that we found, but the service was SERIOUSLY LACKING!!
Horrible service!! Was told my order would be in in a month and gues what no order!!! They have every excuse in the book. Stay very far away!!!!
I'm writing this to hopefully change the minds of potential Stacy's clients: please consider shopping elsewhere. You deserve to be treated with respect and leave feeling pampered and joyful, rather than, shakenly upset and ignored. The customer service was very unprofessional and took responsibility for none of their indecent actions.
GO ELSEWHERE! I am not one for usually writing reviews, but the horrible experience I had at Stacey's deserves to be shared. I went to a few different places to look at dresses and ended up finding one at Stacey's. The initial consultation was a good experience - pleasant sales person, a variety of dresses, and no issues. Shortly after I made my deposit on the dress (over a year before my wedding), we had some changes to our venue and I started to worry that the dress would no longer work. I called Stacey's right away to explain the situation and to see if I would be able to look at a different dress instead. They had me talk to my sales person who shared several times how it would be no problem at all. He said I could come in anytime, didn't give me any deadlines, and when I questioned him to make sure everything would be okay, he shared with me that he is actually taking over Stacey's.
So, I felt better about it since I am talking to the new "owner". A few months passed and I didn't get a chance to get in, I was still planning details, and even the venue situation (hotel versus beach). I didn't feel like I had to rush to get in, as nobody gave me a deadline, And the "owner" himself told me I can come in anytime no problems. Fast forward to a few months later, I call in and I am told that the person who claimed to be a new owner is no longer there and the promises that he made me, the store wasn't keeping. I understand not having good employees, but that should not be taken out on the customers. Stacey finally said she will honor it, but that I would have to buy a more expensive dress. Mind you, I never wanted any money back, even if I got a less expensive dress. All I wanted was a dress that would work with my new venue.
When I did come in to look at new dresses, the sales lady that was assigned to me told me that I can't look at anything else. I was confused, as all this time I was told that I would be able to. I asked to talk to Stacey, and that is actually when this experience got even worse. She came out of the back, storming at me, yelling that I can't look at new dresses. This was in the front of the store, with other customers around. She was rude, condescending, and overall embarrassing. I kept talking to her nicely asking her to honor the promise that her former employee made, but she continued to be completely awful. She did not apologize once, had no regard for me or for the other people in the store watching this mess. I could not believe that someone would treat a customer this badly. Awful person, no better way to put it. I don't know how she is still in business. If you want to be respected, treated fairly, go anywhere else but Stacey's. As I said, I do not write reviews usually, no matter the experience, but this was the worst person and worst customer service situations I have ever been in. After reading reviews, there were sooo many that talked about Stacey and how horrible she is - I wish I would have seen them before giving my time and money to her.
Had a wonderful shopping experience, especially considering I had easily tried on 30 other dresses. The alterations left a little something to be desired. No one alerted me to be sure I had my shoes for my first fitting (I knew I should have because I did my own sleuthing, but still should have been informed by the store), so they fitted everything but the hem and the bustle. Was told I'd receive a call to do the hem and bustle and would need my shoes. Two weeks before my wedding, I hadn't heard from anyone so I finally called to make an appointment. Go in for hem and bustle, all is great. The week of my wedding, I STILL haven't heard that my dress is finished. Finally call and then there's major confusion over whether I'm trying to set an appointment to buy a gown, have a fitting, or what. I still rate it 4 stars because without them, I wouldn't have had the gown that stunned my now-husband, but I'll admit I was a SUPER low-key bride, which could also be why I wasn't overly concerned that I didn't have my dress in hand until the day before the wedding. Seamstresses were both lovely and easy to work with.
Unbelievably rude. They pulled dresses that were hundreds of dollars OVER my budget. They didn't take time to get to really learn what you wanted. DEFIANTLY STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!
Had a horrible experience with them.
Definitely not the experience we were hoping for! Our consultant was rude and bossy! We weren't allowed to look at any of the dresses - only what was pulled by consultant for my daughter to try on. She did find one dress that she really liked and we probably would have highly considered buying it had we received good customer service. We felt like cattle being herded through and didn't even get a thank you at the end of our appointment!
I was going to have my dress designed - up until the day before the wedding, when I saw it, and it was NOT done. I called Stacey's in a panic an hour before they closed on Saturday, saying "I have a bridal crisis. I'm getting married tomorrow, and I don't have a dress." The woman on the line said, "We have over 8000 dresses in stock. Give me your size, style and budget - we will have dresses pulled for you by the time you get here." And when I got there, teary and panicked, she said, "I fully believe that things happen for a reason - you WILL find your dress here today." It took three rounds of dresses, but in the end I found one that was exactly like the one I was having designed. It was a bit too small, the zipper broke as I was trying it on - the seamstress ran to the fabric store to buy another zipper while another woman was ripping the zipper out of the dress and a third was looking up the price. I had it, complete and in my hands two hours later, delivered by Stacey personally. These people are amazing, and I cannot recommend them highly enough - a TRUE class act!
After having a wonderful experience buying prom dresses at Stacey's in High School, I decided to look there for a wedding dress. I was so pleased with my experience there, as always. They were extremely friendly, helpful, patient, and supportive as I chose my perfect wedding dress. Colby listened to exactly what I wanted and found many dresses for me to try on. He made me feel so important that day. After choosing my perfect gown, I was set up with Paula for alterations. She was very pleasant and friendly. Our appointments were efficient but also had a goal of making my dress exactly how I wanted it. My dress was done in a very timely manner and looked perfect for the day. Her work was amazing. I can't say enough good things about Stacey's Bridal and their staff. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience in finding one of the most important dresses you'll buy.
I can't say enough good things about Stacey's and in particular, Colby! I had originally had appointments set for 5 other stores, Stacey's happened to be my first stop. I'm so glad it was!
I had a vague idea what I wanted in a dress. Colby listened carefully and pulled dresses that matched my ideas and then he pulled a few of his own. The 4th dress I tried on was THE dress. It wasn't what I had originally thought I wanted, but once it was on, it was perfect. Colby helped me find the right accessories for it as well.
When it came time for bridesmaids dresses, Colby was right there to help. He found a dress style that worked for all my girls (Sizes 5 through 20). He even offered flower and decoration suggestions.
Along with a wedding dress, and 4 bridesmaid dresses. Stacey's also helped my mom find her dress.
It's a relaxed, professional and fun atmosphere for dress shopping. I can't say enough good things about the store and the people who work there!
Last week I stopped into Staceys to take a peek at what they had... and to my amazement I walked out with ths vow renewal dress of my dreams. I couldn't imagine it being any easier. The staff was great. It was so fun. Thank you so much for for doing what you do Stacey's.
I graduated from Drake and came back for a prebachelorette party. I had just bought my dress in Indiana and only had pictures. On a whim I stopped with my bridesmaids to just look. It was a Saturday and we didn't have an appointment..they told us to be patient and they would move things around to get us a one on one consultant. They had tuxedos we cold preview in the front waiting area. Colby was a hoot! He had me trying on everything including bright pink cowboy boots for the rehearsal dinner! I ended up buying a veil and headpiece and necklaces for my bridesmaids. I could have done it all at this store and I appreciate they gave me attention even though I didn't have an appointment and that I was from out of town. They are very busy so I recommend calling ahead for a time slot. It looked like they had a ton of dresses when I walked into the dressing area to try on veils.
I was so thrilled to work with Stacey and her staff. I had an amazing time. Loved their gowns and all of their selection. It was so wonderful and refreshing to work with people so excited about their job and making their customer's happy! Thanks again!
I had a refreshingly original experience at Stacey's & was accommodated by a very helpful, honest & complimenting worker's staff. This was my third bridal appointment after two unsuccessful visits they helped me find the perfect gown in my price range and met all of my requests- I truly felt like a princess! The store was very relaxing and private, I felt extremely comfortable and accommodated during my fitting. I am so extatic to have found my perfect wedding gown for my wedding!
It was overall a great experience and nice atmosphere. My consultant made the experience very fun. I ordered bridesmaid dresses and the flower girl dresses through them also. I would definitely recommend them!
Stacey's was my go-to for my wedding dress. I shopped there all through high school for prom and knew I would never go anywhere else for my wedding. The customer service provided by Stacey's staff was exceptional. They have a large dress selection for bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses- we had no problem finding exactly what we were looking for!
I was asked to be a maid of honor at a destination wedding. We were tasked with getting "our own dress" based on some basic style and color ideas from the bride. I live near Stacey's and remembered purchasing my homecoming and prom dresses there when I was younger. I chose Stacey's to help me find this dress too! The gal that helped me was fabulous, and they did all the alterations right there, so that was easy -- I had no running around. The wedding went off without a hitch my dress was perfect! Thank you!
The reputation of Stacey's is the main reason we chose to use this company. The choices were endless, everything was very budget friendly, and the staff was fantastic to work with!
I went to Stacey's for my bridal gown and I am so happy with my experience! I had amazing service, my own consultant who focused 100% on me! I know that wedding gown shopping can be a little stressful, but I had a great time! Just a short time into my appointment I ready felt as if my consultant and I had known each other all of our lives! I found my dream dress for a great price! Couldn't be happier!
This place is a disaster! The external grandeur appearance is as good as it gets. From the time you enter the front door it is downhill from there. Very dirty facility! Appearance aside, the owner is the most unprofessional owner of any business I have ever encountered, and the owner never accepts any responsibility.
We started our wedding dress search well in advance to ensure delivery. Bride’s maid’s dresses were ordered and delivered. Although, two of the four were the wrong dress and she implied it was our responsibility to check the dresses for error. I found this amazing as it was my impression when an owner makes a special order for you, I would have thought it would have been the company to insure proper delivery of the ordered product. Not at Stacey’s! It is the consumer’s issue! No accountability for error.
The tuxes arrived and two did not fit and the father of the brides vest was never ordered. Once again she informed us we needed to check this on Friday prior to the wedding. I had to inform her, it was Friday while we exchanged a few words. She once agin implied it was our fault the tuxes did not fit properly and items missing were not on the order. I requested our file and pointed out to her on her records where missing items were on the order sheet. Once again, no accountability for her error.
She furthermore requested we come back on the day of the wedding to pick up new tuxes and missing items. This was ridiculous! After several words were exchanged she finally decided this was their error and she would deliver the needed tuxes and vests on the day of the wedding. Once again, another issue. She delivered the items to the wrong hotel! Fortunately we knew the individual at the front desk of the other hotel and they called us asking about the tuxes. We had to go get them and hope they fit as delivery was in the afternoon for an afternoon wedding.
As far as her professionalism, she consistently reprimanded her staff in front of customers over silly items. If these items were important to her, you would think she would have staff meetings. This may be a reach for this business as it is apparent she has no clue how to operate a professional business.
If it were not for the delightful staff assisting and trying not to act embarrassed from her unprofessional behavior, I would have cancelled every order, and went to another local wedding place. I wished now we had!
Don’t get duped into this business by the fancy building! Non profession and one of the worst places in town to do business.
My sales lady was so knowledgeable about what I need for all my undergarments and I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience. Highly recommended.
Jaime did an awesome job helping me find the perfect bridal gown. We also got our bridesmaids dresses and tuxes here too. They were very pleasant to work with and the selections were wonderful too.
My dress was beautiful and fit very well, the girls working at Stacey's were fantastic. The only problem I had was when I went to pick up my dress they had sold the cremlin that I already had purchased which I liked better than the one the ended up giving me. Overall very good service.
I purchased my bridal gown at Stacey's Bridal and would recommend their services; however, I did encounter a few situations which were resolved and handled professionaly. My gown was beautiful and the service when trying on gowns was excellent. Minor improvements could be made post-gown purchase as there are times I felt that once my gown was purchased, I was not a main priority. Another problem I encountered was the purchase of my bridesmaids dresses. I was told that the specific dress I had chosen for my maids would be able to be purchased through Stacey's and I would recieve a discount if I purchased my bridal gown here. I made sure to address this as I had already picked out the exact style and had the style number and I was aware that some bridal stores are not able to order certain designer's. I provided the owner with this information and I was told there would be no problem ordering this specific dress. This made my final decision and I purchased my wedding gown that day! When I called to finalize and place the order for my maids dresses a few days after, I was then told they were not able to order this dress line but they did have dresses that were similiar. Had I known this, I may not have purchased my wedding dress with them as I had other options. I have learned through the process of wedding planning is to always have decisions in writing by both parties. That is my advise and to be aware of if working with Stacey's Bridal.
We used Stacey's Bridal for everything (wedding dress, bridesmaids' dresses, tuxes). Amanda was my consultant during my wedding dress session, and she was excellent! She listened to what I wanted, but pulled things that she thought would look good, too. I ended up going with something that I would never have chosen on my own. It was beautiful! They were very helpful w/ the bridesmaid and groomsmen process as well. They seemed very knowledgeable about everything. The only frustration I had was during prom season. They sell a large amount of prom dresses as well and it was VERY difficult to schedule an appointment, which you needed. When it came to alterations, the woman was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone!
This salon had a fantastic selection and a staff that really knew what they were doing. I loved that they actually had sample gowns in my size (2/4 depending on brand) so I didn't have a ton of clips everywhere. Unfortunately, I didn't purchase my dress that day and they weren't responsive upon subsequent email when I inquired about undergarments they sold at the salon.
I have always wanted to go to Stacey's Bridal for a wedding dress but they were not a lot of help because I didnt want to spend $2000 or more on a dress they only had 5 dress that were under that in my size
This place was out of this world with customer service. The only reason I didn't buy a dress here was because I fell in love with the dress from another store. The best customer service experience. It was the first time I had fun dress shopping. The rest were just boring.
Do not go there on Saturdays! Be VERY careful and aware of who you are working with! They are slightly unorganized, and many young girls working there are clueless! The bridesmaid dress order went in on two different dye batches because they couldn't find the entire order because it was misfiled. Somehow, the modesty panel in my ivory satin dress was switched out for a taffeta white one also. It was extremely frustrating dealing with the staff at Stacey's. I would avoid it at all costs if you want to keep your sanity, I left in tears more than once. The wedding dress was a little overpriced compared to other vendors also.
I was treated very well by all staff at Stacey's. They worked with me and were extremely helpful. I actually was told a price for my dress and then when I went to pay for it, Stacey realized they hadn't changed the tag and the dress was actually suppose to be double that price. She gave me the dress for the price I'd originally been told anyways....how great! :) I would recommend Stacey's to anyone needing a prom dress, wedding dress, or anything else you may need!
I explained what I wanted and got the dress of my dreams. Her eye for sizing and style was so accurate, I tried on less than 10 dresses.
I purchased my gorgeous dress from Stacey's Bridal. I absolutely love my dress and I think it looked beautiful at my wedding. After my initial bad experience with my sales person, I dealt with the owner and everything was handled very professionally and even the alterations were done by a very nice seamstress and very reasonable.
