Paul verbally promised us on numerous occasions that we would not run out of alcohol. We even told him we had some heavy drinkers that would be there. He assured us there wouldn't be any problem. We even paid for over the number we expected to be drinking just in case. Paul also told us if we got close to running out of alcohol, we would never even know about it because it would be taken care of before we got wind of it. We got married on October 17, 2020, at Kalioka Stables. We were told we would have three different types of kegs and three different types of wine. We even changed the beer we wanted to have at our wedding to accommodate having kegs. We did not have kegs at our wedding, and we were never told we were not going to have kegs at our wedding. We also ran out of beer four times. They kept pulling the groom away from enjoying his night to ask him what he wanted them to do. He told them he wanted them to get more alcohol as we were promised not to run out. We had limited time at our venue, so this became a big deal with him being pulled away multiple times during his night. We ran out of alcohol just a few minutes after we made it to the reception. At least 3 different guests also told us with no relation to each other that the shorter bartender that was there that night was drinking while she was serving alcohol. One of our guests said. "she was drunk as a skunk." She also took money that our guests gave her to buy alcohol (at least $100) and did not tell Paul about it. She even asked our guests if they would drive her to the store to pick up more beer. When I called Paul the next week to discuss the terrible service we received, he had no idea anything went wrong. He could not tell me how much inventory we actually had that night; he kept saying that a party of that size normally has this much inventory, which is not an actual inventory list. Paul was also arrogant, and he told me he had no competition and could not give us any of our money back because our ticket was closed. He said the best he could do for us as if we booked another party with him, for 40-50 people he could give us 20% off the top as a discount. I did lose my cool and asked him if we received terrible service the first time, did he think I would book them again to have terrible service a second time? When I tried to explain how stressful that made our night go, he had the audacity to ask, "so running out of alcohol ruined the most important day of your life?" My husband and I went back and forth with him for about a month, and we never got any resolution with him. He always said he would get back to us and never did. He NEVER even apologized. We paid $1,723 and did not receive anything close to that in services or inventory. I would NOT recommend Staff Bar to my worst enemy.
