The staff at Starline was AMAZING and worked so hard to make our day perfect! I am so lucky we went with Starline - we received compliments all night and hope to come here for a wedding ourselves as a guest. Josie and the staff were more helpful than I could’ve ever imagined between the millions of questions we asked to making sure the day ran smoothly and making sure ourselves and our guests were taken care of. The team was phenomenal and I don’t know how the day would’ve gone on without them! Josie and the team constantly went above and beyond to make sure things went just how I wanted them. The venue was absolutely breath taking and I had gone off of a recommendation from another couple who had gotten married there and have recommended it to a few couples who will be getting married soon! So happy to have such great memories at the Starline.
My daughter recently got married at The Starline Factory. She lives in England so there was a little time difference issue and FaceTime decision making. Needless to say, I was a bit concerned. But no need at all. Josie was our point person and was the absolute best. She made time for all of the visits and calls that were required for our unique situation. The day was absolutely perfect!! The venue is gorgeous, the food was outstanding and I would recommend this venue to anyone!! Thanks Josie and the Starline for making Amanda and Jamies wedding everything they could have wished for!!
The venue is to die for, first of all. It is rustic and yet industrial. It is rich with history and has stunning ivy on the outside. You hardly have to decorate! The party planner was professional and detailed. She responded to all emails in a timely manner. The chef was very good. Our food choices tasted amazing and they did on the day of the wedding. Many guests commented on that. The reason for four stars and not five was that the servers of the food were missing people when it came to desserts and taking half to full drinks away when someone set them down thus requiring one to purchase another drink.
The venue speaks for itself! Absolutely beautiful with a ton of character. The bridal suite is very spacious, the chapel is lovely, and the helm room was perfect! There are plenty of spaces for photo opportunities as this venue offers a ton of gorgeous backgrounds! Even a few hidden spaces with access to only the bride and groom. The staff was amazing and beyond helpful in every aspect. And Josie was a wonderful coordinator! She is great at communicating and making sure the bride is stress free! I highly recommend this venue, it’s also budget friendly!
The Starline staff was quite literally the best staff I have ever encountered. Everyone was so friendly, communication was perfect and truly made the best day of our lives unforgettable.
All staff at The Starline Factory were very professional and easy to work with. I personally worked with Josie and she was wonderful with communication and getting very detail planned. I would highly recommend The Starline Factory!
Everything from the beginning of my planning process to the end was truly amazing with the starline, In the beginning I worked with robi and then Josie took over closer to the end of my planning and they were both amazing. Staff was amazing on our wedding day and food and our venue room came out amazing and brought my vision to life! Clean and welcoming venue.
Absolutely amazing! I can not recommend it enough. The venue is beyond gorgeous, the food was delicious, and most importantly the people on staff were the easiest and most welcoming people to work with. They handled every little thing imaginable. They truly made the wedding planning as easy and simple as possible. They made sure that our special day was incredible
We loved this venue! Josie took such good care of us and worked to help every detail go smoothly. They went above and beyond by helping us create the perfect bride and groom cocktail for the wedding. This venue is also amazing, we saved on flowers because the venue itself is a decoration, we just needed to add small flowers here and there. They were very receptive to feedback and helped us meet every expectation we had. Hopefully one day there will be a hotel worth staying at nearby because that is the only thing, which is out of their control, holding them back from being this area's #1 wedding location. I would recommend Starline to a friend.
We were absolutely floored with the ease and elegance this venue had to offer. Our wedding coordinator Robi was an absolute pleasure to work with. She kept us on track and most importantly alleviated all stress on our big day. The venue itself is beautiful and full of so much charm. The staff was delightful and extremely helpful. They will make you feel like family! If you want a flawless day, filled with unique charm - here is your venue!
The Starline Factory was 1 of 3 places we had chosen to look at for my daughter's weeding this past July. It was the 1st stop on our list. After meeting with Robie & getting a behind the scenes look at all that was offered, we NEVER went to look at the last 2 remaining venues.
Robie & her Team are truly what made our daughter's wedding perfect!!! Perfect in every way!!! All the chaos on wedding day, they made sure that every last detail came to life, they didn't miss anything!!!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you, for all the wonderful memories, it was a magical day!
Wonderful staff, beautiful venue, 10 out of 10 experience!
We absolutely loved this venue. They were excellent with everything from the reception set up to the dinner to the cake to the ceremony if I could give more stars than just 5 I would. So helpful, excellent communication and so accomodating. Robie was the best coordinator ever and now that the wedding is done I will miss her. Starline is amazing you will not regret this choice. Most bang for your buck in my opinion.
I was recently a wedding guest at this lovely venue. Almost everything was wonderful. The food was very good but I could only eat half of one of my two pieces of beef and half of my potato. I, along with a few others at our table, requested take home boxes. The waitress apologetically told us that they did not allow leftover food to be taken home. If this was a buffet I could certainly understand this, but this was a plated event. I am sorry that the wedding couple spent so much money on food that was wasted. Several at our table were very disappointed and hated to see so much food go to waste.
We had our wedding here 10/15/2022 and it could not have been a smoother process. Both coordinators, Robi and Josie, are the best. The venue has an amazing old industrial feel which helps when it came to decorating. Not much is needed to be done in order to have the space be exactly what you want! They also have multiple rooms to choose from.
We and our guests were also amazed by the ivy on the side of the building. It was gorgeous for the day of.
The food for our wedding was amazing. It is fair priced. Our options for food were a good variety and was so tasty and the portions were great. Our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed their dinners.
We could not have had an easier process anywhere else. I will always recommend Starline Factory for anyone that needs a space for any type of celebration.
Robi and Team at the Starline Factory were everything you would want in a wedding venue! Easy to contact throughout and were right on top of every detail day of. We opted for the use of the Chaple and the Helm Room. The chapel has the cutest wooden pews and large windows letting in all the natural light for beautiful photos. The Helm room is stunning with all the brick, wood, and string lights. The meals served were delicious with large prtions. No guest left hungry thats for sure! Everything went flawlessly and I can not express how much it meant to us! Robi and Team thank you for everything!! YOU ROCK!!
Our wedding was absolutely perfect at Starline!! Couldn't of went any better. Our guests were raving how good the food was (rehearsal dinner and day of wedding) The chef was excellent cooked everything exactly how we requested and the vegan meals were beyond delicious and better than I was ever expecting. The wedding coordinator Sarah was very helpful and accommodating. The venue itself is just breath taking our guests kept complimenting about how beautiful the venue was. I loved that everything at one place; the chapel, large area for cocktail hour, food was made at venue and nice & fresh and warm, and the size for reception was perfect. There's not a thing I would change, besides loving to redo the day all over again haha. Thank you Starline for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!! I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!! The price was very reasonable and we were able to setup décor the day prior before rehearsal dinner which was awesome and bridal suite was great size for myself and wedding guests to get ready in. The food and drinks during were great too. Thanks again!!
Couldn't be happier with having our wedding at Starline Factory. We held our ceremony in their Chapel Room and had our reception in the 1883 Room. The venue was beautiful and everything was so easy! The venue includes the food, drinks and cake in their packages. We really didn't have to stress about anything. Also, Robie was so great to work with. She really makes everything so easy!
We go so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue is and the great food! I would highly recommend Starline Factory!!
We chose Starline after months of searching for the perfect venue! The space is gorgeous and has the most wonderful atmosphere. The service was great throughout the entire process, and the food was amazing. Planning a wedding during these times was stressful, but their team kept us informed and as stress free as possible. We are so thankful we chose Starline to celebrate our best day!
WOW! If I could give this venue a million stars, I would! I had my wedding at the Starline Factory and I would not have changed a thing. Everyone at Starline was so accommodating and helpful. We worked with Robie and she answered all of my hundreds of questions and was so pleasant and knowledgeable. All of our guests went on and on about how delicious the food was and how beautiful the venue is. SO happy I had my wedding here :)
My daughter had her wedding there November 6. I just can't say enough positive things about this venue! We worked with Roby, and she was amazing to work with. She addressed any questions we had promptly and with a deep understanding of how important this day was to us. The food was delicious and the atmosphere truly dazzled the guests! Have your wedding here!!!
Everyone at the Starline Factory was phenomenal! Not only is the venue itself incredibly beautiful, but the staff go out of their way to make your day special. Josie in particular. Our guests can’t stop raving about the service from the staff and the amazing food. Highly recommend.
We got married here and I cannot say enough good things about the Starline, especially the staff. We worked with Robie for all of our planning and she was so attentive and accommodating. She has a great eye for detail and is very organized. She really made us feel taken care of while planning a wedding during covid. All of our guests loved the venue and it is kept very clean and beautiful. There are tons of cool spots for photos. If you want a great venue with even better people, look no farther.
Where do I even start with this amazing venue!? When choosing our venue we looked at 4 spots before the Starline, when we walked in, both my husband and I looked and each other and knew this was the spot we wanted to have our wedding. After an awesome tour with Al we had SO many decisions to make, but we knew that we had made our decision on the venue. We started planning our wedding in November of 2019, pre pandemic, and originally had about 140 people we were planning on inviting for our August 2020 wedding. Then March of 2020 hit and everything changed. Everyone at the Starline was amazing… from Ron with the food to Julie with the cake everyone was moving forward with us as if the world wasn’t on fire around us. We went back and forth 100 times whether or not we were going to cancel the wedding, postpone, do something different, the entire time everyone at the Starline was more than accommodating and helpful! After a TON of family drama, we ultimately decided to keep our wedding date and move forward with the day. We had about 65 people and it was MORE than perfect! We held our rehearsal dinner on the back patio and the food was amazing! We were able to set up and get organized and were well rested the day or our wedding! Despite countless issues leading up to the day we wouldn’t change a thing. The staff was so sweet and helpful, especially Josie and Robie! The day of we were the only ones in the venue and we truly felt like we were the only thing that mattered in the world! We were in the 1885 room and it was perfect, it was set up beautifully, and it was incredibly easy for us to get all of our décor set up! We had our cocktail hour set up in the upstairs area of the room and brought everyone down after for dinner and dancing, everything flowed so perfectly. We opted for a buffet style meal, which was slightly altered due to Covid restrictions, but it was still so wonderful! We regret NOTHING about our wedding. Our pictures are incredible and we had such an amazing day, we cannot thank everyone involved enough and I will recommend the Starline Factory to ANYONE looking to host an event!
booking our wedding with them was the best decision! the room was beautiful and the staff were wondeful to work with. they went above and beyond for me and my new husband, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great venue for their wedding!
Our Wedding was very special and unique on October 3rd at the Starline Factory. We can't say enough good things about all the staff including coordinators Josie & Robie. We will be back to their Pub for dinners and art shows. Thanks for everything!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with the Starline Factory. The space is beautiful and unique, the food is fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing day.
Starline was so beautiful and it made our day so magical! Due to no wedding in the Ferris Room the day before we got to set up completely before! Our original wedding coordinator quit two weeks before our wedding so some things I had to remind them to get to me like the punch list and the total due. After that we got Al and Tara which they were very helpful before the wedding! The bridal suite was perfect for me and my six bridesmaids. There were a couple things that were a little stressful setting up and Al was obviously overwhelmed and became a little snippy. There was a total of three weddings on my wedding day so that is probably why. Otherwise, everything from dinner set up to Cake cutting went perfectly. Starline is such a beautiful, amazing venue and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who was getting married!!
My wife and I recently held our wedding at the Starline Factory in the Helm Room. We visited several venues for our special day and we certainly made the right choice in this truly unique space. If you desire a venue with tons of character and charm combined with sophistication and class, this is the place for you. We worked very closely with David on every detail and he was outstanding. The same can be said for the staff on the day of our wedding. They were all very attentive and the service was top notch. The food was also very good! We recommend the Filet with Champagne chicken. The outdoor areas surrounding the factory created some very unique and beautiful photo opportunities as well. We received countless compliments from our guests about what a great venue this was and know we definitely made the right choice. We recommend Starline VERY highly for your big day.

My son and his wife held their wedding at the Starline Factory. I cannot say enough good things about this venue. It is a lovely and unique space. The food was delicious and the staff outstanding. Everyone was accommodating and helpful. Our primary contact, Lea, was amazing. From the first visit, through the detail selections, to day of the wedding, she was phenomenal and...very patient. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem!
The Starline Factory was an incredible location for our wedding a couple of weeks ago! The venue is so beautiful, our guests keep telling us how amazing it all was. The food is delicious, and they are able to accommodate any food allergies. Lea is such a great coordinator, and was able to work with me despite me being multiple states away throughout most of the planning process! They always answered my questions quickly and thoroughly. Everyone made sure that things would be perfect for us, and Lea was there the evening of the reception to make sure everything went without a hitch. I would definitely recommend Starline to anyone looking for a great reception space!
My daughter and son in law just got married February 2019 and their reception was at the beautiful Starline Factory. We were beyond happy with everything that day, from the delicious dinner, to the bar tenders, and the staff. Everything ran so smooth and stress free because of our wonderful proficient coordinator..David. David was so helpful and accomadating from the beginning when we first toured the Starline all throughout and finally the day of MaryKate and Cameron's wedding day. We would relive this day if we could. It was so.much fun and beautiful because of where we celebrated.
I had my wedding at Starline in October. It was simply gorgeous! David is such a nice and patient person. If you have a chance to work with him, do it! I had a wonderful experience. Starline is worth every penny!
We had our wedding at Starline in October. It was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this venue to others for their wedding. We worked mostly with David and he was amazing! When we had questions he was always prompt with his responses. He was very accommodating with our requests and worked so hard to make sure our experience was a positive one. He even parked my elderly aunt’s car so she wouldn’t have to walk from the parking lot! He went above and beyond our expectations! All of our wedding guests loved the venue and many commented on how the space was unique and beautiful. The food was also a huge hit! One guest even said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The serving staff and bartenders were polite and on top of everything. My husband and I are so happy we went with Starline for our wedding. We could not have asked for a better experience!
I am sorry it has taken me this long to write my review, but it seems that Weddings can really make a Bride Tired!
First things first, Starline is by far one of the most gorgeous, historical and amazing building I have ever laid my eyes on.
With that being said I was beyond lucky to be able to Marry my best friend there on 10/27/18.
David was AMAZING.. He literally answered every single email, every phone call, every ANYTHING I could have possibly annoyed him with, he happily helped me. He was with us from the beginning to the end of our experience there. I truly can't put into enough words how great he really was, and how much Ryan and I truly appreciate all the effort, hard work, and dedication he put into our big day. We wouldn't change anything as it was absolutely perfect! Thank you David,Chef, Lea and everyone else at Starline Factory for everything you have done for us. We are forever Grateful!
Forever your friends,
Kelli and Ryan Felz
The Starline Factory was the first venue we saw and they made it the easiest decision ever! David was the one we met with and who also helped me plan the whole thing. He was so easy to work with. I emailed him anytime I had questions, concerns, needed to make a payment, etc. and he got back to me so quickly. He was so sweet, and made the whole wedding planning process enjoyable. I loved the look of the venue, what all they had to offer, the packages, everything! Didn't need to decorate a whole lot because the venue itself was so beautiful. There are only 2 things I would change though. The first one being, the day of my wedding, David approached me saying there was an issue going on with another bride and now Leah was going to be the one overseeing my wedding. Leah was OK, but she was not David! It almost felt like a betrayal, because David and I talked so often, and he helped me through so much detail, that just because I wasn't a problem bride, I lost the good one! And the day of my wedding no less! But like I said, Leah wasn't the issue, it was just the change I didn't like. The second one being, we payed for the "gold status" bar. Meaning top shelf everything! I requested patron specifically, which they had! But by the last 45 minutes of the night, they had apparently "ran out" of patron, and was serving me gold cuervo, but DIDN'T TELL ME they switched my alcohol. I was so insanely sick by the time the DJ was done, it wasn't even funny. And was then told the next morning that they weren't out of patron, the bartender just didn't look in the liquor room hard enough and they still had 6 bottles. I drank the same thing all night, and hadn't even drank very much. Very disappointed in that decision. It kind of ruined the rest of my wedding night. Had to have everyone else take care of me. Other than that, it was a great time. I would do it all over again! Our pictures came out beautiful! And the staff was beyond helpful! Just make sure they understand when you say you drink patron, THEY HAVE ENOUGH PATRON. Bartending 101 - NEVER CHANGE UP THEIR ALCOHOL.
We booked Starline for our wedding on Oct 7. We had a great experience with them; however, they can be vague sometimes, which can be frustrating. The food was very good! We read a few reviews that the food was not so good and were a bit worried. You do not try their food ahead of time because they do not give you an option to bring in your own vendor; you either want them or you do not. The food was perfect and very good! The venue is absolutely beautiful!! The coordinators were great, but did not seem to want to commit to allowing you to be in any certain area in the venue while other weddings are going on. When we asked if we could take pictures in a common area the response was “Well, this is a common area so there will be other people around and there will be a wedding in the next room at [insert time].” So… no? Yes? It turned out beautiful and we were able to get our pictures done there. We paid for a champagne toast where they put a bottle of champagne on every table. The champagne was not provided. I brought this up to the coordinator the next day and she refunded me right away. Overall, this was a great place and we had a wonderful time! They made sure that any request we had was met to the best of their abilities. I would fully recommend booking here!!
Starline was an amazing venue! Right after be booked our venue, we saw a lot of bad reviews. Although our nerves grew, the staff was amazing and took our worries away. The interior of the building is extremely unique with the hardwood floors and the brick walls. The building truly does speak for itself. I can't tell you how many guests we had compliment us on the building. Although you have to use the in house chef, we got raving reviews on the food from all of our guests. We chose the comfort bar which consisted of BBQ pulled pork, corn, mashed potatoes, bread, and pasta salad. The chef even let us substitute the dessert that came with it for late night pizza, and turned the mashed potatoes into a mashed potato bar. Starline let us bring in our own cake and donuts as long as they were from a certified bakery. We had 300+ guests and the room was so spacious that nobody ever felt crowded. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! Our night could not have been more perfect.
I had my wedding here on 9/3/17 in the 1883 room. I knew when I walked in the very first time that I was going to book it and I did(I’m kind of impulsive). The ambiance is breathtaking. It’s unique and absolutely beautiful with exposed brick, big windows, hanging lights, and natural light during the day. I worked with two great people there (Teresa at the beginning and then Lea from the middle to end) and they were professional, knew their stuff, and friendly. They went out of their way for me more than once also. For example: I didn’t like a sign that was hanging by a window and they lowered it; I had a small wedding but they let me request 2 bartenders; my favorite surprise was how Lea herself came out with a server to the area we were taking photos to say hi and bring out appetizers for the wedding party since they were missing the cocktail hour!; and I forgot all about a cake stand until the weekend of the wedding so they let me use one they had on hand and even made it pretty with flowers.
Throughout the year leading up to the wedding I was kind of a frequent visitor because I was excited to show off where I’d be getting married to everyone who was interested in seeing it. Every time we ate at the Stanchion Pub the staff were a joy and the food and drinks were great.
I haven’t seen the professional photos yet, but all the pictures from friends and family turned out gorgeous because of this place. And the food!! We did the dinner buffet and it was amazing! Seriously, I’d order it at an upscale restaurant and be totally satisfied. Everyone loved it and I wanted to eat a lot more but my dress was tight. Major props to the chefs.
The dessert bar was exceptional too. You’d expect cookies and brownies….but instead they had really good tarts, truffles, and all kinds of really pretty and tasty treats.
The serving staff and bartenders were all pleasant and did great as well. My husband mentioned that at one point in the night, a bartender noticed he didn't have a drink in his hand and sent one over to him. I honestly can’t think of anything I would change about the Starline, the coordinators, or staff. They were exceptional and I’m so grateful that I chose them for our special day. Big thanks to Lea, Teresa, the chefs, and all the staff who made the night so special.
Our August 2017 wedding at the Starline was absolutely beautiful and went off without a hitch - the reason I'm only giving 4 stars as a rating is for the planning portion. If you are self-motivated, on top of planning, and very organized, the Starline is for you.
The Starline was the only venue we looked at. We had been to other events there and were impressed with the building, so we booked within a week of our engagement. When you book, you will be booking the room, food, bar package, linens, tables and chairs, and small cutting cake.
Communication throughout the planning process was difficult at times. There were 2 individuals I worked with - it seemed like they did not always communicate with each other. I was told that we would have our menu session within 90 days of the booking, but I had to reach out to set it up. A few months later I realized we hadn't done our tasting, so I had to reach out to set that up, too. I was told that the final payment would be broken into 4 smaller payments, but that was never followed up on by the Starline, so we had one gigantic payment due a few weeks before the wedding. If you book here, just make sure you get everything in writing and follow up as necessary.
To their credit, the coordinators were always very helpful when I worked with them. They were quick to respond with any questions (small or large) that I had, and I never got the feeling that I was inconveniencing them. Our reception was amazing, the food was VERY good, and the day-of coordination was on point. If you don't need your venue to hold your hand while you're planning, I recommend the Starline.
From start to finish, my experience with Starline Factory was beyond satisfactory. The building is GORGEOUS and it was everything I ever wanted in a wedding venue. Some reviews made me nervous in the beginning - some saying that Teresa is unhelpful, the staff is rude, and the food is bad. Make no mistake people, these things couldn't be farther from the truth!! Teresa was excellent throughout the entire process. She was gracious and polite, always answered all of our questions thoroughly and helpfully, and did everything she could to be sure our day was everything is should be. (People should note: Teresa is Starline's event coordinator NOT your wedding planner. It is your job to plan your own wedding - unless you have hired someone else to do so - and it is unfair to expect her to tend to you in such a way). Every staff member I encountered at Starline was polite and helpful. I have received countless compliments on the professionalism of the bartenders and servers AND the quality of the food. One guest even told me it was the best wedding food she had ever had! Our wedding day was the most beautiful day of my life and it's all thanks to Starline. If you are looking for a beautiful, rustic venue that will cause you zero headaches throughout your wedding planning process Starline is the way to go!
Loved this venue. Loved that the ceremony and reception was able to be in the same place. Food was delicious and not overly priced. We added ivory drapes to the Ferris Room to give it more of a romantic feel. It was beautiful. No issues with set up or clean up. We were able to get in early since you are only able to set up/ take down that day. We knew this in advance so it was okay. Overall, great staff and awesome venue!
Starline was wonderful through the whole planning process. There was always some able to answer questions, comments, concerns. Teresa was wonderful, and the bartenders the night of the event were so nice. We had several quests comment on how kind they were. The venu is just beautiful and spacious for guests to be comfortable! Loves every minite
Loved getting married here. All of our guests talked about how gorgeous the place was. Food was great, everything was on time, and our prices were decent. Seriously a beautiful place.
The Starline Factory is EVERYTHING I wanted and hoped for in an wedding venue. It's the only venue we visited and booked it right away. The layout, the accommodations, the historic and industrial integrity of the building shines through every little detail, it's breathtaking. However, the staff, more specifically, Teresa Babner is atrocious. Teresa did not at any time make me feel special. She did not go above or beyond for us in any way. She was not flexible and she did not make any information clear. Any question I asked her, her immediate response was, "we don't do that", "we don't offer that", or my favorite, just "no". It's very unsettling that someone who conducts themselves in that manner is in charge of making sure peoples most important and special day, isn't just another pain in her side. Luckily for us, Teresa was on vacation the weekend of our wedding so we had Lea and David there to assist us with day of operations. Lea is fantastic, so nice and organized. She was more helpful and caring the day of my wedding than Teresa ever was for the year long planning process. I'm not sure if they allow you to choose your coordinator but I would avoid Teresa at all costs.
The head chef, Andy is so professional and created a wonderful buffet for our guests. We had chicken and beef, potatoes, roasted veggie medley, and a whole dessert bar, which was beautifully displayed and delicious! The car tenders were so prompt and made people want to hang out by the bar, no line ever formed!
Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and perfect and I am so glad that the stress and turmoil that we went through with Teresa had no affect on our special, once in a lifetime day.
I was SO stressed out reading bad reviews of Starline after I had already booked my wedding and made a deposit. The day of, everything went so smoothly and perfect. Food was great, service was great, and the bar barely ever had a line. Our event coordinator for the day was Lea and she was so nice and helpful. There was a few miscommunications through out the planning process but I booked a year and a half ago and it seems like Starline has worked out their kinks since I booked. So incredibly happy with everything!
I never thought that we would receive so many complements about our wedding venue! We had just under 180 guests and everyone fit comfortably in the Gallery 400 room. We used all of the table cloths, table settings, chairs, tables from the venue. They looked beautiful! No chair covers needed! The room itself hardly needs any decorations - beautiful exposed brick with wood floors. We did not have our ceremony here - only our reception.
There were a few hiccups along the way. We did not know that we would need insurance for the venue or put down an additional $250 security deposit until the month of the wedding. Any miscommunication was likely due to a turnover in staff that happened during our 1 year engagement after we had reserved the venue. The turnover seemed to be for the best because now the venue has several wedding coordinators and seems to be growing and able to offer future couples more options. There was another wedding going on that day in one of the other rooms. We never ran into them but it did prevent us from taking pictures everywhere that we wanted to at the venue.
The food was fantastic. The chef is amazing both in his skill and his presentation when we met him to taste our meal! He was great at making sure there were options for vegetarian/gluten-free guests that tasted amazing! We received so many complements from guests - especially about the dessert bar!
The venue was very flexible with my special requests. For example: adding a candy bar, having sangria as part of the open bar and specialty drinks. I was the first of my friends to be married and the oldest of my siblings. The venue was very patient and quick to respond to all of my questions in detail.
We highly recommend Starline as a reception venue!
My fiancé and I were excited to find a cheap priced venue with an industrial look. My mom put the $500 deposit in and worked on getting the required amount down to talk about time line and food. That meeting is when it all went to hell. First off, my mom was running a little late and Teresa Baber refused to wait for her I mentioned she was a little late and she said "well we're staring without her." Every question we asked she looked at us and responded to us like it was the stupidest question she has ever heard, sorry but I think asking if we could get both meats in the buffet seems like a fair question, who doesn't want their guests to have options? After that we asked about maybe doing 2 colored linen napkins to match our theme she goes "No. It doesn't look nice with 2 colors." During a meeting she wouldn't even show us the bridal sweet I would be using she just sort of pointed in the general area it's in and was like "oh it's over there." And continued walking away. What really got us mad was she was adimint that she had told us that if we booked the room we had, that we needed to be the last wedding and that there was a wedding at 5pm before us...she never said anything via phone or e-mail about any of that until that meeting and was quite rude about it. Claimed she was going to call the other bride to see if she wouldn't mind having her ceremony a hour early, it's been over a week and we have not received a single e-mail or call. Was impressed with this place until we learned the inner workings of it, I'm sorry but if there is a room (the chapel) adjacent and semi-connected to another, you should not be letting a ceremony take place that late making the ones who can only afford the cheaper room to just deal with having a 4 hour day that you have to squeeze a ceremony, photos AND reception in. Needless to say we're going elsewhere because of her.
Attended a family wedding here. While this is a nice venue esthetically, the service by the facility at the recent wedding was disappointing. This is clearly a management issue and a kitchen issue.
Kitchen took long period to serve up first course salad, and bread service followed 20 minutes later. The main meal was delayed considerably. Even so, the main dish for some took over an hour after the head table before they were served. Dessert was not put out until it was almost too late and the facility did not serve all of the cakes furnished by the family. Coffee service did not occur until after dessert was first served. No timely cups and plates put out for either.
Far too few wait staff and bus service for this wedding reception. Plates remained uncleared on the tables for almost an hour after dinner was eaten, even on the head table. Demand more servers and busboys to work your gig.
Not buying an excuse that there were other receptions going on. This was the largest reception that evening. Apologies are due the parents of the wedding couple from this facility. Again, this is clearly a lack of capable management. Not well organized by the venue, and not well staffed. Best for future parties to have a clear understanding with the facility as to what is to be expected and what adjustments are necessary if not met. All of this is correctable by the owners but better management and much more focus on detail required. Facility good, execution poor.
My husband and I got married June 4th 2016. We first signed the contract a year and half before that. We signed on a contract saying we could bring in whatever vendors we wanted for food which was awesome because I am a pastry chef and my friend was going to cater the wedding . I chose the starline because it was a beautiful room for a reasonable price. Later to hear a bunch of excuses as to why we HAD to use their catering which forced our entire budget to go to the starline. That started the irritation. Then the day before the wedding, we go in and set up and the staff was no help at all, extremely rude. The day of the wedding is what set me off the edge. First of all they didn't even know whose wedding it was going on. We had an open bar yet they were having guests pay for drinks they should have just gotten for free, when we said something about it they were telling people they just ran out of certain drinks. When we discussed food, they wrote down notes of what we were discussing so in my head they knew what they were doing but sadly no. I mentioned that I wanted to order sheet cakes from Swiss made bakery, and they said they work with them and we can just let them order the cake. But that was not said on the quote it was going to be from Swiss made, just word of mouth. We paid 600 for cake that was NOT Swiss made cake it was grocery store cake. Along with the cake we were told that the BBQ sauce would not be on the pulled pork because a few of our guests could not eat it or didn't want it. They mixed the sauce in anyways and when we pointed it out they did nothing to fix the situation and as result a few guest had to leave early because they didn't get food and they were hungry. We also asked that we could privately have the guest parking lot because milk days was going on and that was the biggest hassle for them. One of the managers had complained to my mother in law that he had to walk a few blocks because he had to park so far away. That is just a few of the things that happened that day. My experience with the starline was horrific. I tell and will continue to tell everyone NOT TO GO TO THE STARLINE. I give it 1 star because the room is beautiful, but management is terrible to work with and made wedding planning even more stressful that it already is. If you do go there just make sure you are very specific with them and have EVERYTHING IN WRITING.
Everything is separate: food, bar,tables,chairs,linnens,room.. ALL SEPARATE. Which is finexactly but that's not what I originally signed up for. Food was over priced.
We just had our wedding at this amazing place!! Everything went as expected , food was AMAZING! The guest kept coming upntonus and telling us how they thought the place was really cool. Staff was also very helpful and sweet. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone.
This place is a joke! We just got married here a couple weeks ago. First off, when we booked the venue we were able to hire in our own caterer and without telling us, they cancelled them. The caterer was the one who had to call us and let us know. The night of the wedding was just plain embarrassing. The doors were supposed to open at 5 (this is the time our open bar started too) but instead the doors opened at 530 so our guests had to pay for drinks for the first 30 minutes. This place will nickel and dime you for everything! The venue itself is fairly cheap but you HAVE to use their caterer, their tables, chairs, and linens which you pay a ton for. You also have to pay for the workers to set everything up and don't forget the tip! (They calculate it and add that to the price, which is a good chunk of money) the night of our wedding the chicken came out cold and RAW! Not to mention several people found hair in their food and one person found a WORM! Half of our head table didn't get their salads so we had to hunt someone down to get them. We paid extra for a signature drink for me and they didnt even have it! We had to make them go out ans buy malibu. Our cake was barely served and when one guest asked for a piece he was told there wasn't anymore left. We took home the whole bottom tier of the cake so there was plenty! I wrote a review on their Facebook page and they deleted it... I'm sure they don't want people to find out about the raw chicken and the worm... just goes to show you what kind of people they are. I do not recommend this place to anyone!
Starline Factory was a beautiful and unique venue which is hard to find in this area! For that reason, we knew we'd overcome any other less favorable aspects. Our initial visit was a mixed experience. We had hoped to wander in and just see what the space looked like. A woman was quite short with us about our need to come back later, but on our way out another man offered to give us the tour and ended up being very accommodating! Just an FYI, the room price is quite low which is great, but KNOW that you will pay in addition for table/chair rentals, linen rentals, etc. so it does add up. Also, getting in touch with your consultant can be tricky at times due to flexible office hours and so you'll end up answering the same questions for at least two people. Nonetheless, the space is gorgeous, the employees are generally helpful, and our ideas for personal touches were happily welcomed.
HORRIBLE GUEST SERVICE!!!
My fiance and I so desired to have our wedding here. My mother, sister, fiance and I met with Teresa Baber for a showing of the facility. She was so rude to everyone during the showing. She was shutting off the lights in a dark hallway on my family as we walked through, never congratulated us on the engagement, did not take time to talk about open dates, prices or answer many questions we had. We went there, prepared to right a check for a down payment but walked away so disappointed when Teresa could only give us maybe 10 minutes of her time and offered no packet of information. I not only asked her for available dates of the following year 4 separate times but I had to reach out to her AGAIN to finally get the dates that she said she would send. When I received them, they were not accurate at all. So sad that it didn't work out just because of their personnel. We found a GREAT Venue in Rockford, same look and WAY better guest service.
My husband and I are so happy we went with the Starline! It was perfect for our large wedding. The main room is a huge space that allows you to do whatever you want with decorating. There is a patio and also a space outside the main room that allows people to chat in a quieter area. We used this space for cocktail hour. We have heard so many wonderful things from our guests about how much they loved the Starline. The wood beams, exposed brick, and rustic feel were so beautiful and allowed for incredible photos.
The Starline provides the space and you're responsible for everything else. I originally thought this would be difficult, but it was nice to be able to piece together everything we had envisioned and also to price out the best deals.
Throughout the wedding planning process, we communicated with Teresa. In the weeks leading up to the wedding I had so many last minute questions and had to call her often. She was great about returning calls, making me feel like everything was handled, and addressing any concerns I had. The day before the wedding we were able to spend the whole day setting up (which took away the stress of setting up the morning of the big day). Teresa was there to help with whatever we needed and also returned in the morning so my family could do last minute decorating and to make sure everything looked great. She was such a help throughout the weekend. We had hired a wedding planner to help make sure everything ran smoothly, but honestly, Teresa helped us out more than enough where we regret spending extra money on a planner. Another nice thing about the Starline is that you can come back the following morning to clean up rather than having to do it immediately after the reception. We chose to just have our reception there, but it would also be a great spot to have a ceremony as well. I know they are continuing to renovate other areas of the building which will make the Starline even more perfect for weddings. Lastly, the Starline is right next to the Harvard train stop which was so nice for guests coming in from Chicago. I am so happy with the Starline and continue to hear such positive feedback from our guests.
Not your normal venue of a stark white room, it's an old factory with original wood floors, skylights, exposed brick walls, windows, wood beamse, etc.. We had compliments from all the guests about how wonderful and unique the room was! Only drawback, no kitchen, caterer had to bring in ovens. You get the room all weekend, starting Friday morning to decorate all day. Have your event Saturday, and then have Sunday to clean up. The staff there is amazing also, I'd recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique reception space!
I had both my wedding ceremony and reception at the large banquet space at the Starline Factory. I rented the room and it included a 3 day rental. Friday for set up, Saturday for the event, and Sunday for clean-up. It is a do-it-yourself place so be prepared to bring in everything that you will needed. Chair and table rentals are available. This was an amazing location option since we did not want a traditional wedding venue.
