From the moment we first visited the historic fire station, we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. Its charming aesthetic and intimate ambiance created a beautiful backdrop for both our ceremony and reception.
The venue manager, Paula, was an absolute gem to work with. She was incredibly helpful during the planning phase, answering our questions and ensuring every detail was accounted for. On the day of the event, her team was professional and efficient, making sure everything ran smoothly and allowing us to truly enjoy our day without worry.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are so grateful for the care and attention that went into making our wedding unforgettable. We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique and intimate setting!
Loved having our wedding at Station 3. When we toured we were instantly charmed by the historic nature, the beautiful exposed brick, and the energy of Paula, the venue manager. Paula was so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. She very patiently answered every question we had from the booking a year and a half in advance all the way to wedding day. The venue itself was a big hit with our guests - we got lots of compliments throughout the night. It is a two-story venue but there is a lift for people who are mobility impaired. There is also a small bridal suite upstairs that was recently renovated and very nice for keeping personal items and hanging out beforehand. The venue ended up being pricier in the end than we had anticipated. There are add-on fees for the ceremony, to add an extra hour, and to have glass ware instead of plastic cups. For us it wasn’t an issue as we had family helping to pay for the wedding, but it is something to consider. Overall though I felt like this was a very high quality venue, the space was beautiful, the courtyard was lovely, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a somewhat more unique venue in the central Houston area. I would be happy to come back as a guest at another wedding!
I truly don't know where to start. From beginning to end, our experience with Station 3, and Paula specifically, was the absolute best we could've hoped for. There was never a text, phone call, or email that was ever missed, and all questions and worries were addressed. This venue is an absolute gem, from the exposed brick to the beautiful black iron to the original wooden floors upstairs, this venue is a perfect scene for your wedding. And if that's not enough, Paula... Paula... Paula. We cannot say thank you enough for making that day everything it could possibly be.
Any questions?
My new husband and I had a great experience with Station 3 for our wedding ceremony and reception earlier this month. Everyone that we dealt with was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the whole process. We dealt with mainly Paula throughout the planning process but day of Sarah was incredible. Really helped our whole night go as planned and kept us hydrated and sane! Would definitely recommend this venue for any type of party or gathering you’re looking to have.
My fiance and I both tried to get a tour here for our wedding and were told by the receptionist twice that we would get a call. We never received a call. We decided to take our business elsewhere. A piece of advice to this venue: Start setting a professional tone for your business or word of mouth by other brides will deplete your clientele, and eventually, you won't have a business. This isn't a good way to gain new business or retain current business. Good luck.

Thank you very much for the feedback. We sincerely apologize for the negative experience that you had. We do make our response and communication with our clients and potential clients our top priority. If there is anything that we can do to mak...
e this right please let us know but we do send well wishes throughout your planning process!
The perfect venue downtown. Beautiful indoor space and outdoor space. Paula was amazing and so helpful during the planning and reception!
Wow! Paula and her staff are amazing!! We worked with Paula for over a year to execute my daughter & her firefighter husbands perfect wedding! Paula & Station 3 were the only person/venue we looked into. Paula worked with each of our vendors and gave us priceless tips on a flawless floor plan and Looked over our timeline to make sure it would work with the space. I would describe Paula as a powerhouse, firecracker! She kept things moving the night of and was on top of everything. Right down to helping my handicapped, elderly grandparents and getting an unwilling toddler to eat. Thank you Paula for everything!
Our Granddaughter and her fiancé held her wedding and reception here! It was warm and inviting, but most important, both my husband and I are handicapped and Paula and her staff took such good care of us, seeing that we got upstairs before everyone else so we could take our time and making sure my husband’s oxygen was plugged in. Everyone had a wonderful time!
Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but Paula and her team took the best care of us from day one of our experience! Paula really knows how to keep an event running smoothly and take care of the bride and groom. So many guests commented on how well organized the wedding was and how well the night flowed, and Paula deserves so much of the credit for that!
I genuinely cannot recommend Station 3 and Paula enough. My husband and I were expecting around 80-100 for our wedding. We found Station 3 online and immediately loved it. It’s eclectic and quaint, but the black light fixtures and industrial/modern touches made it perfect for the city wedding we were wanting. When we toured, Paula is what sealed the deal. She is comforting and easy-going, but she also made a couple a bit out of their comfort zone planning a wedding, feel so at ease. Throughout the entire planning process, Paula was quick to respond. She connected with almost all of the vendors we used (because we had no idea what we were doing and would ask for recs) and all were absolutely perfect and affordable. The planning process with Paula was a breeze. I could not have been more thankful to work with her throughout it. And on the weekend of, Paula’s patience and thoughtfulness to our large/loud family at the rehearsal was beyond expectations. She made everything seem simple and just reminded us to enjoy. I felt like everything was in the best of hands with her. And the wedding…WOW. It was beautiful and EXACTLY what we wanted (better than we could want!). The views of downtown and the way our colors worked with the black and brick was sublime. We were blown away, our guests were blown away! Station 3 is a beautiful, memorable place to get married that isn’t one of the cookie cutter new venues. It’s historical and special, and we are so thankful we chose it. And Paula…she’s absolutely amazing, so experienced and patient. We can’t recommend Station 3 and Paula enough.
Station 3 was wonderful. Paula knows how to party and is so great to work with! She was always very accommodating and very responsive. She takes care of her venue and her brides. She always answered any questions we had very quickly. My husband and I loved the industrial look of the venue. We knew many of our guests may not travel to Houston, so the size of the venue was perfect. It ended up being about 75 people and it felt perfect, although we had originally planned for 100 which the venue would still have been perfect for. Paula made many helpful suggestions to pull all of our ideas together and the wedding was amazing. Thank you, Paula.
**DO NOT BE FOOLED by the exposed brick and smiling faces when touring this venue**
We put a deposit down for our wedding prior to covid being a thing. Before even having to cancel the wedding because of the pandemic, Paula was always very slow to respond to emails and often required multiple emails to get a response. I won’t even talk about them keeping the deposit- but certainly there are other venues to consider before resorting to this one.
Lastly, do your research on this place - the web has some interesting things.
I worked mostly with Paula from Station 3 and she was an absolute joy to work with! She was always very accommodating and very responsive. She also helped to decrease my anxiety about being a COVID bride. Station 3 is definitely a unique and fun venue - the upstairs area is for eating, the downstairs for dancing and the outside courtyard for quiet area during dancing/cocktail hour. I loved this separation but it may not be for everyone. It also worked out well for COVID because we had less people and so the area didn’t feel so empty but if you’re planning on having a big party this may not be the best place. My husband and I loved the history of the building and I loved the industrial look. I had a ton of ideas and a lot of interesting requests - I was very organized but the team at Station 3 was so great and getting everything just right. In fact they even added on some decorations/ideas that were pleasant surprises on the night of. Loved our experience so much!
Using Station 3 as our venue was one of the best decisions I made the whole wedding planning process. I was a little worried about the price as the open bar package was more expensive than some other comparable venues in the Houston area, but the level of service absolutely justified the cost (which after adjustments for kids and guests who weren't coming was much more bearable). Planning a wedding through a pandemic is hard enough but Paula and her team were very responsive and helpful with every issue we had. Whenever I needed to reschedule? No Problem. They even had it so that I could get my final guest count a week before rather than 2 weeks due to people dropping out last minute from COVID worries. The inclusion of a day of coordinator also elevates the whole experience! I was constantly given drinks and water throughout the night, our food was prepped for us first, and they did most of the clean up/ filling up water during the event so that my family didn't have too much to do at the end of the night! I can't recommend them enough and if you're having your wedding in Houston, seriously consider having it here!
We cannot thank Station 3 enough! We received multiple compliments about the charm of the venue. Everyone loved the antique/modern atmosphere and the view of downtown Houston from upstairs. Paula was extremely helpful, flexible, and responsive throughout our wedding planning. Paula and the rest of the staff were very attentive on our wedding day making sure we had everything we needed (our dinner plate and cups were full and ready to go so that we could quickly eat and start talking to our guests, dance floor was cleaned immediately after a spill, etc.!) and everything was in order including decorations and vendors. Station 3 is a smaller venue, but it made the night very inviting and intimate-we did not feel crowded even with 130 guests. We are very happy we had our wedding at Station 3! Thanks! :)
Thank you Paula, Karen and all of Station 3 staff for helping us put on a FUN and beautiful post-wedding celebration! From the very beginning, you were so easy to work with and so accessible when I had questions. As our plans got more detailed, you advised me since I didn't have much experience with party planning and gracefully accommodated to changes made along the way. The venue itself is stunning in a very warm and cozy way - SO many of our guests commented over and over about how pretty it was. I could not be more pleased and HIGHLY recommend Station 3 as a fabulous venue for your celebration/party!!
I could not have chosen a better space for our wedding. My husband and I from the very start wanted a unique space that we could really showcase Houston plus we both really wanted exposed brick which Station 3 gave us exactly that! The team from the very start were fantastic and very helpful throughout my planning process. This space will forever have a special place in both my mine and my husband's hearts!
Unique, wonderful venue! I am so excited we chose to get married here. We loved the brick and hardwood floors. It was really great to get married close to downtown, because out-of-town guests really enjoyed getting to visit Houston. I also really liked that the dancing was on a different floor from dinner so it encouraged our friends and family to keep dancing all night. Highly recommend this venue!
If you are looking for a unique venue with historical value, then Station 3 is it! When my husband and I went to tour the venue we knew instantly this was the place for our reception. It reflected our style perfectly. The exposed brick walls and beautiful windows provided a fabulous back drop for our decor. The layout also drew us in, as it is two levels. The staff at Station 3 were very professional and courteous. They were responsive to all of our needs and emails were always answered in a timely manner. We were also extremely pleased with the vendor recommendations they made. Station 3 is definitely one of a kind!
Kerri and team were absolutely amazing and helpful during the whole process. We found Station 3 while searching for an open concept venue with downtown views. We absolutely loved how much character and natural beauty the venue had without it needing too much decoration. Through the whole two years leading up to our wedding, Kerri kept us on track and up to date with new venue updates. Fast and easy communication. Kerri happened to be our venue coordinator for our wedding and was simply the best! Kerri worked with our wedding coordinator and vendors to ensure that we stayed on track with out timeline. Kerri made sure we didn't worry about anything that day. Best venue ever!!
When we decided to have our wedding here in Houston all we knew was that we wanted a venue that was different from your average hotel banquet hall. We wanted something with character, something that matched our eclectic personalities and style. During our tour we knew that Station 3 was the place for us. Between the exposed brick and the rich hardwoods we felt at home there. We couldn't have been happier anywhere else. With around 100 guests it was easy to use the change out the upstairs, downstairs and outside courtyard. We love Station 3!
Station 3 was excellent! Their team is very eager to assist you in any way possible and are readily available to help answer your many questions as a bride!
I had 135 guests here for my wedding - buffet upstairs, cocktail outside, and dancing downstairs.
We received so many compliments about how fun, unique, and beautiful the space was here.
Thank you again!
I recently had my wedding at Station 3. I absolutely love the space, and received tons of compliments on the venue from my guests. I worked with Kerri throughout the wedding planning process - she was incredibly efficient, knowledgeable, and responsive (which couldn't be said of all the vendors we worked with), giving us full confidence that our event would run smoothly on the day of (which it did). I do feel that their bar package prices run a bit high & it is unfortunate that you don't have flexibility in bringing in your own liquor. But, in the end, I wouldn't have had my wedding at any other venue!! I highly recommend Station 3.
My husband and I are native Houstonians living in Brooklyn. For our wedding, we wanted to give our guests the most authentically Houston-esque event possible. When we found out about Station 3, we knew there was no other option for us as far as the reception was concerned. The beauty of the space goes without saying, but anyone considering having their event at Station 3 should also know that the event managers (we worked with Kerri & Hayley) are all so helpful, organized, and very communicative. We did not give them an easy event (sudden, torrential downpour + lots of outside/independent vendors + fire inspectors, oh my!), and they handled it like champions. Needless to say, our guests (the majority of whom are in the wedding/events/restaurant business) were blown away.
Thanks again for hosting everyone in safety and in style!
I am not even sure where to start giving kudos! I got married in June 2016 & I must say that this venue was the PERFECT place for my fiance' and I. If you are looking for a venue with an ambiance and vintage feel, this is the spot for you !
The venue director Kerri was very nice, accommodating, and has such a warm personality. I had a MONDAY wedding, and we were able to have our rehearsal there Sunday which turned out great. All of my out of town guest from California (and my local guests) were amazed by this stunning location. The staff was great contacting me via email, or by phone when needed, and keeping me posted & making sure everything was ready for my big day. Great Venue, Great Service, Wonderful Experience. My wedding was AWESOME!
While my experience at Station 3 was less than stellar, the owner of Station 3 is making efforts to "make things right" after the fact.
We knew from the moment that we saw their website that Station 3 was the perfect venue for us; the historic charm and beauty of the firehouse are incredible. The exposed bricks, wood floors, and beautiful lighting make it a great space. Kerri, Ashton, and Hayley were incredibly helpful from the moment that we first contacted them; they almost immediately answered any questions that we had. One of the things that we loved the most was the ability to make our wedding completely our own in terms of vendors and decorations versus a more "standard/packaged" deal that we saw other places (i.e. the pick one of these three centerpiece type locations). Our guests were full of compliments about Station 3 - it is truly a beautiful and memorable space. Thank you for everything!
After visiting a few other venues around Houston, Station 3 was our last stop. We almost didn't go because we thought we had already found one we liked. Well after a short tour and talking to Kerry, we immediately knew this venue was the one for us. Kerry was incredibly friendly and down to earth. She was responsive in answering our many questions. The venue was beautiful, small but intimate and exactly the look we were going for. We had our ceremony and the reception there and are so glad we didnt make our guests drive anywhere. The location is a short distance from downtown so it was very convenient to have an afterparty close by on Main St.
We absolutely loved Station 3! I fell in love with this venue the moment I stepped into it and didn't look back. They hadn't even finished all of the remodeling and weren't even hosting venues when we committed, if that lets you know how much I loved it. Kerri, was so fantastic to work with. Very prompt with returning emails and very flexible in letting me come by and just "look again" since it was such a long time between signing and our actual wedding date. She even just let me come by, so she could tell me everything was going to be ok. Planning weddings, are stressful you know. This venue was so beautiful, with the original brick and wood as well as the huge glass windows. It also held a special place in mine and my now husband's hearts as his dad used to be a Chief with HFD, so we loved the fact that it was a fire station. I can't wait to see how our pictures turn out from our Halloween wedding at this beautiful location.
I fell in LOVE with this venue the moment I walked in the doors! It's beautiful and full of character. We hardly needed any extra decor, because the building itself is just so beautiful. The staff is wonderful as well. I am completely new to weddings, and having to plan my own without a wedding planner was a bit hectic at times, and the station 3 staff put up with all my questions, concerns, and mistakes flawlessly! They went above and beyond and theres nothing but good things to say about the entire event. I would recommend this venue to anyone.
Our wedding was so beautiful and all of our guests were blown away at the uniqueness at the venue. The staff at Station 3 was very helpful, responsive and professional.
Fell in love with the place, and the staff were fantastic! As helpful as they could be! My guests loved every bit of it. They felt it was very unique, and the aura was spectacular.
Logistically, a little more difficult than expected. You are only allowed to set up an hour before your event which meant I had to pay for people to set up. I also had to pay extra for the time my people needed. This incurred cost not originally planned. (Some venues, if they have no other events booked, let you come in and set up earlier). Also, their drinks package changed during the year from when I first saw the place which made it more expensive and less drinks were available than expected. You really need to have a coordinator or someone other than your fam helping for this one.
Response from the Vendor on 10/28/2015
We thank you so much for the feedback from your Wedding Reception here at Station 3. We do appreciate the review concerning our staff and thank you for your kind words. We are sad to hear that you were unhappy with the logistical side of things...
as we always strive to provide the most positive experience for each and every one of our clients.
I did want to address these logistical concerns as I think there may have been confusion on how we operate as a venue. We offer both an 8 hour and 10 hour rental for Wedding Receptions on Friday nights and it is up to each client as to how much time they would like to have access to the venue. This time is clearly defined in each contract as being the setup time, event time and teardown time. You are allowed to then use those 8 or 10 hours any way you choose. We do not ever stipulate how many of those hours are allocated to setup vs. event time as it is different for each event. As you mentioned, we do offer an hourly “add on” option if you decided that you need additional time over what you had originally contracted as we know unforeseen changes can occur during the planning process and often times our clients realize that they needed more time for setup then initially though. We do of course understand that some venues do allow for you to come in early if there is not another event taking place earlier in the day but this is not how Station 3 has ever operated.
As for the Bar Packaging changing from the initial date of contract signing this is also correct. The Bar Packaging did change from 2014 to 2015 but we did make sure to honor the old pricing from 2014 for you as this was when you signed your contract. It is also correct that we did remove the Cash Bar option for all weddings as a new blanket policy as we found that logistically it did not work well for the clients who had used this for their weddings in the past and we did not want to continue to offer an option that did not leave guests happy in the end and did not allow for good flow of the events we host.
We thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and hope to use this information to help improve communication with future brides.
Kind Regards,
Station 3
We love Station 3, Kerrie, and the girls there! They did an great job and our wedding was perfect. As soon as we saw the venue we knew it was the one for us. I loved the idea that it's pretty much open to whatever decor idea you can dream up, plus getting to chose your own vendors is great. From the get go Station 3 was more than helpful in answering in and all questions, and letting us meet vendors at the venue when we needed. Working with them was easy and I wasn't worried about a thing. Everything worked out perfectly and the day of our wedding was a success. I had SO many wedding guests say how much they loved the venue and everything about it. We did too! Thanks Station 3 for making our wedding day so special. We couldn't recommend you more!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We enjoyed hosting your special day and are so glad to hear that you loved having your wedding with us.
Just an amazing experience with Station 3 and the staff. Our wedding was flawless. Great venue and great service.
We just had our wedding here and omg it was perfect! Everything was seamless. Kerri did a great job coordinating the event and all of our vendors. There wasn't a single detail overlooked. The atmosphere is modern industrial & vintage. The building is historic and has been renovated beautifully! I wish I could get married here every day!
Not only is Station 3 a unique, memorable and captivating venue, but the service and staff made my wedding planning experience that much better! We worked with Kerri from beginning to end, and she was nothing short of amazing. She was extremely helpful, prompt, responsive and a joy to work with! From choosing a date down, to my bridal session, and then execution on the day - it was all fantastic! The venue is not full-service, which could easily be very stressful, but she helped provide us with trusted preferred vendors, including my wedding planner, to help make everything go as smoothly as possible. Also, the upside of not full-service is the ability to have a very unique and custom wedding! Kerri was very flexible in helping us make our plans work in the space perfectly! She worked with my planner on the layout and other aspects of the night to make sure my reception went off without a hitch - which it did :) All my guests continuously commented on the beauty and uniqueness of the venue as well - definitely not your typical hotel ballroom or run-of-the-mill private space. The exposed brick, lighting and all of the detail that has gone in to Station 3 has truly made it a remarkable and memorable space. It also has a very nice patio that can be utilized along with views of downtown. For me, there was no where more perfect than Station 3 for my wedding reception, and I would highly recommend it!!
My wedding was perfect thanks to this amazing venue.
My husband and I got married during mid-September and had the wedding we will cherish for many years to come at Station 3. The venue package comes with the services of the venue Coordinator, Kerri Smelek, who is extremely professional, responsive, and the person you want to have on the day of your wedding. Luckily for us, we were able to book the date of our wedding many months in advance and secured our spot on the calendar. The venue caters to smaller groups, our wedding was right at about 130, which was perfect for the venue. The venue uses a web-based seating chart that allows for easy seating arrangements. Kerri will provide suggestions on what may work best, what she's seen done in the past, etc. Further, we were able to utilize the venue for bridal portraits which was a very unique spot as the venue is pretty much a blank canvas. The venue also allows you to bring in outside vendors, which was exactly what we were looking for as we didn't want the constraints like other venues. Because of Kerri, we had a stream-lined wedding with happy vendors, happy attendants and a happy couple! I could not rave enough about this spot. It is a hidden treasure that is unique to Houston that won't be a secret very long!!
