This venue was such an incredible spot for our wedding. The stunning oak trees and beautiful grounds made it a stunning backdrop to the celebration of our love. While we had to reschedule our wedding initially due to COVID, they were completely understanding and accommodating in working with us to ensure our rescheduled wedding would be perfect. The day would not have been possible without our full-time planner Shelby, who made our thoughts and dreams come to life. It was truly an incredible day at Stella!

Stella was everything I’ve ever dreamed of for my wedding and more. We booked Stella as our venue in the summer of 2019. After taking a tour of the grounds, we booked immediately without looking at any other venue options. We were presented with numerous options of settings for both our ceremony and reception location on site, as well as being shown the other available amenities on the property including suites for the bride and groom, on-site lodging options, back-up ceremony location in the event of inclement weather, and the acres of gorgeous and extremely well kept grounds. We hired Shelby as our day-of coordinator, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. From the moment we met Shelby, she was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and caring. Even with the addition of a pandemic, Shelby remained in constant contact with updates and reassurance of which I was unbelievably grateful for. Even with our officiant being 30 minutes late for our ceremony, Shelby was able to keep everyone calm, everything moving, and somehow we managed to get all of our pictures taken and start our reception on time like nothing had ever happened. We had the most beautiful ceremony and reception, and I have received a steady stream of compliments about how beautiful everything was, and how well managed the event was. I cannot recommend this venue and compliment Shelby and the staff at Stella enough!!

With about 3 weeks to go to our wedding, we changed our wedding reception to Stella. We could not have been happier. Being a COVID bride, there were a few more challenges than usual, but Stella alleviated it all! Shelby and her team were very accommodating and answered so many of our questions in a prompt manner. They helped us plan the perfect reception in 3 weeks! The property and venues are gorgeous. They say things happen for a reason, and we are so happy we had our reception at Stella. We would not have had it any other way.

The moment I unexpectedly showed up to Stella for a tour, no appointment or anything, I knew it was the one. Shelby, who at the time worked in their marketing department, sprang into action and showed me, my fiancé, and my family the grounds. As soon as I met Shelby, we knew this was the place for us. She knew every detail, every possible answer to any question I could have had, and she put me at such at ease—even though she wasn’t even the wedding coordinator at the time. The rapport we built with her in the 20-30 minutes there sold me and my fiancé. She is the greatest wedding coordinator I could have asked for, and I’m so thankful to have stumbled across her. However, everyone we met and worked with at Stella, including the owner, was impeccable and accommodating. The grounds speak for itself, but the service makes you feel like family. I highly recommend Stella to any bride who may find themselves searching for the perfect venue. My husband and his friends also did a pheasant hunt there before our rehearsal dinner, and Challen couldn’t have been more accommodating and welcoming. My gentleman and his friends had a blast, and it’s still a highlight of our wedding weekend.

One word BEAUTIFUL! The scenery the plantation home, the bridal suite, the cook house! Everything was amazing and Shelby was amazing to work with from start to finish! Stella Plantation and Shelby definitely made my dreams come true and I can’t thank them enough! Beautiful place and I can’t wait to go back for our first wedding anniversary lol!

Stella Plantation is the most beautiful venue I have ever seen! The grounds are breathtaking and my wedding day was beyond perfect! The Guest House and Cook House provided the perfect setting for our wedding prep and overnight stay. The grounds sell itself for an outdoor wedding ceremony. I have zero complaints on how my actual wedding day went! The only reason I give 4 stars rather than 5, is because of the insurance stipulations. When signing the contract , I knew the insurance requirements of the vendors but I didn’t realize a vendor is basically anyone who steps foot on their property. Requiring certain vendors and the event to be insured is completely understandable to an extent. I would expect food/drink providers, decorating companies, and bands to have to be insured. But be aware, this also includes your florist, your wedding planner, your photographer, transportation to and from the property, your officiant, your makeup artist and hair stylist. Thankfully, after much stress and many tears they waived a few of the above. I just feel that many other venues provide insurance with the rental of the facility and not require it of each individual. Basically, if your vendor doesn’t already have it and doesn’t want to pay for this pricey policy, then you have to pay it for each of them. The requirements are strict and steep, I just want others to know to look into the requirements thoroughly because it did put a stressful and upsetting damper on my wedding month leading up to the big day. Thankfully it all worked out in the end and my big day was beyond perfect. Again, I can’t compliment the grounds and facilities enough. They are truly breathtaking! They also sent a super sweet gift to us after our wedding day, which we will cherish forever! If your looking for the perfect rustic, outdoor setting... Stella Plantation is the place for you!

We fell in love with Stella Plantation the moment we saw it and knew this was the place we would be married. The beautiful oak trees and different settings gave us a variety of choices to create the perfect event! Out event planner Natasha was spectacular from the beginning and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to oversee my wedding plans. She really made my vision come to life and made it so easy for me! She smoothly handled all wedding catastrophes and took charge during day off without hesitation. All the Stella staff were so helpful and accommodating to all my needs! We rented out the plantation for the weekend and it was such a nice stay for family and the honeymoon suite was incredible! We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding and the Stella staff who helped create it! If you are looking for the most beautiful setting, you should def get married at Stella!!

Overall, we had a stellar experience with Stella - from the venue to the arrangements, from the planning to the service on the day of the wedding. I would recommend the venue whole-heartedly. In our mind, what really elevated the experience was the venue itself and our interactions with Natasha, the wedding coordinator. The venue speaks for itself - they have built out and maintained an excellent property that photographs really well and has every convenience thought through.. Natasha's planning and organizing skills took so much pressure off our shoulders. Exactly 30 days before the wedding, Nastaha stepped in and took charge. She was always on top of emails, follow-up, next steps and actions. Her turnaround time on emails was minutes, not even hours. We felt extremely well taken-care-of. We also felt that she was on our side the entire time making sure we got the most "return on experience" - from suggesting venue logistics to handling vendors. She was so thoughtful on the day of the wedding too - by making sure we got to taste our wedding food and making sure we had comfortable shoes for dancing later on. She rocked it and made everything so much more memorable. We also have some constructive feedback for the owners of Stella. The insurance requirements of vendors were a little over-the-top. While it is understandable that you need vendors to be bonded / insured etc on your property, i feel that needing your transportation vendors (who were dropping guests off in their parking lot) to have worker's comp of $1M and waivers of subrogation went way overboard. I spend 90% of my job in the legal realm assessing risk etc - while i knew coming in that insurance was expected of vendors, some of these additional clauses caught even me by surprise. That element of surprise and stress honestly took some joy out of our event. Overall though, it was an amazing experience and we have Stella and especially Natasha to thank for. Well done!√

My wedding was absolute perfaction! Stella was all we were hoping for and more! I cant give all the credit to just the beauty of Stella, I also have to give a huge shout out to Natasha for helping to ensure everything was perfect. Natasha is so kind and wants nothing more than to make you happy. I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over again!

My wife and I were married recently at Stella Plantation. The venue is a picturesque and gorgeous lined with oak trees, citrus trees, and large fields. The staff is very accommodating and worked with us through difficult schedules and issues. Our wedding was outside by their famous "fallen" oak tree and then went to their event tent for the reception .The venue was spacious and we had many options to decide where to have the ceremony, reception, and even sleeping/lodging options . I loved having the wonderful natural backdrop for our special day and have received many compliments from family and friends on how much they loved the venue and enjoyed the overall experience. Stella was a great place to have our event and I would love to attend other events where I could explore the beauty further. Natasha was very helpful and worked with us through issues and concerns. We would do it all again!

Words can not describe the wonderful experience we had. Your wedding day can be hectic, crazy and overwhelming at times. Stella Plantation, and their staff, made our wedding the most romantic, easy, fun, smooth, beautiful...the list can go on and on. The grounds, the trees, and the history makes this the most memorable and romantic place around. Their staff makes everything so easy and uneventful. Highly recommend!!!

I got married at Stella on 12/2/17 and everything about it was fantastic. From the gorgeous clubhouses to get ready in, the ability to decorate and customize your reception in the tent, the amazing on-site coordinator Caroline (who was an angel and truly gave us the peace of mind to relax on our day) to the beautiful lining of the trees. Stella was everything we could have wanted in a venue and we’re so glad we chose to get married here. Our guests were coming up to us all night saying it was one of the prettiest outdoor venues they’d ever been to.

We used Stella Plantation for our October wedding and could not be happier. You can truly transform the plantation to fit your vision, even though it is so beautiful on its own. Caroline was the BEST wedding planner. I can not thank her enough for helping me get through such a crazy time. Our day was everything we imagined and more, we really could not be any happier!

Stella Plantation was everything my husband and I could have ever dreamt of and more! Caroline was AMAZING to work with, and the grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. All of my ridiculous (and sometimes immature) questions were answered in the most sincere way by Caroline, and by the end of everything I felt like I made a new friend (ya'll she's really great). She kept everything going smoothly, went above and beyond for us, and was super fun to work with. Besides that, the grounds itself and the staff are amazing. Everything turned out even more gorgeous than I could have ever done myself, and im still getting compliments about everything. The pavilion is quite spacious - we had between 250-300 people fit with a packed dance floor, and I wasn't constantly running into people. I'm so glad I went with my instincts and chose Stella - I've loved the venue since the moment I pulled into the parking lot!

Stella Plantation was a fairytale! I saw this Plantation in a bridal magazine and knew this is where I wanted to get married. When we pulled up to the plantation it was already decided that this was the place. Each building was spectacular and designed in the perfect way. The planning process was made so easy with the help of Caroline! While planning she went out on a short leave and made sure every expectation wasn’t missed. She had a temporary coordinator fill in to caterer to our every need. We stayed at the plantation for the weekend and Caroline outdid herself! Nothing could have gone wrong... She wouldn’t let it! The weather was beautiful that day! The plantation itself is the most beautiful place. Every little aspect, including the awesome copper bar. Which we loved! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to marry my best friend!

Stella proved to be the best choice out there ! Caroline not only did an amazing job the day of the wedding but was such a pleasure to work with in the months prior to the wedding. She kept it low pressure like we desired and was so much fun to work with. It was truly a fairy tale wedding for us. We couldn't have been any happier or more satisfied. Wow! Where to even begin. Stella Plantation is absolutely beautiful!! It was so nice to find a setting like this just 45 min from the city, which allowed us to show our guests a completely different side of New Orleans. The event space is amazing and so is the space for the wedding party to get ready beforehand. Caroline, the events manager / planner, is incredible. She is reliable, extremely responsive, and so pleasant! We had so many questions and wanted to do incorporate many unique and nuanced components into our reception and she helped us through each with a smile and a can-do attitude. She has great relationships with several top-notch vendors, so even though you get to have a completely DIY and personalized experience if you wish, you also have so much support and assistance from Caroline and her entire network. One of our vendors backed out at the last minute and Caroline found us a new one (at an even better price) within hours! This was a destination wedding for my husband and me so her attentiveness and willingness to help us with anything and everything was even more appreciated. I highly recommend Stella Plantation as a venue both because of the natural beauty and how well maintained it is, and because Caroline and the staff are absolutely fantastic. As a bride, I felt so comfortable throughout the planning process and was thrilled to see our fairytale vision become a reality.

My wedding was everything that I wanted & more! Stella’s grounds are absolutely breathtaking, it allows the bride & groom so many possibilities when it comes to planning the wedding of their dreams! My wedding happened the weekend that Hurricane Nate was set to make landfall, Caroline was on top of everything the whole time reassuring me that there was a backup plan in place to make sure that my day went well and that there was no need to worry. The storm ended up taking a turn and missed us & the day turned out to be beautiful! Caroline as well as Erica (coordinator on site while Caroline was out on maternity leave) was able to answer anything that I had questions about and went above and beyond in helping to assist with suggestions and recommendations for vendors, etc. Its been a couple months now and my guests are still talking about how beautiful my wedding was. I honestly could not have chosen a better place to have my wedding!

This review is totally late! (Sorry y'all life happened) Getting married at Stella Plantation was an absolute dream. Caroline was 100% , the only reason everything ran so smooth. I wish I lived in Louisiana so we could hang out and I could buy her a glass of wine, or like a barrel. The operation she's running at Stella Plantation is seamless, she's extremely thorough and I think the most organized person I have ever met! (On a side note my wedding wasn't just a little catering and a DJ, My mother in law and I got a little Pinterest crazy...well a lot of Pinterest crazy and Caroline was right beside us with clipboard in hand, taking notes and recording every detail. She saw our vision and executed it perfectly. ) Aside from how amazing working with Stella was, the grounds are EXTREMELY well kept and so beautiful. If you are looking for a venue that has it all, this is the place. The rooms for the ladies to get ready in are so elegant and provide a perfect vibe for vintage/classy looking photos. (Great for getting ready shots) And the guys room is awesome and has a tv to keep them entertained while all the girls are getting ready. I️ can’t say enough good things about Stella and Caroline (and Erica). It is a hidden gem out in Braithwaite. I️ fell in love with Stella from the moment I found the venue website. And my husband and I knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding the first time we visited the venue. Caroline (& Erica) were amazing during the two years leading up the to wedding. They answered all of my questions and made me feel a little less crazy. Caroline was a lifesaver and constantly professional during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, including the moments when some of the guests made it difficult. She made sure my wedding was amazing from being the contact for the vendors to her fixing my dress before I️ walked down the aisle. I️ could not happier we got married at Stella. My guests still tell me how beautiful it was. I️ highly recommend Stella.

When we initially pulled into the driveway of the stunning property, we knew we instantly this was the perfect place for us. After meeting with Stella’s coordinator Caroline Parrone, she completely helped solidify our decision. Stella has everything you could ever want- beautiful oak trees, options indoors & out, amazing staff, great reliable vendors, the most meticulously designed rooms to get ready in (even the guest bathrooms were beautiful with natural wood & copper sinks!). Caroline made planning a wedding from nearly 2,000 miles away the easiest process as well. She went above and beyond for us- she kept us on track and thought of every single little detail. Without her amazing relationships with the best vendors, her constant support & thoughtfulness, we would never have been able to achieve our dream wedding. Working with Stella and Caroline produced the best night of our lives- our guests cannot stop talking about how beautiful, fun, unique & memorable our wedding was. As an out of town couple, we thought that planning a wedding was going to be stressful. That was until we met Caroline and were introduced to Stella Plantation! Not only was the location the most beautiful that we have ever seen, but the staff that we worked with were of the highest caliber. Caroline sold us with the first few minutes of the tour. Her recommendations were impeccable, she worked quickly and diligently to plan our vision. She remained on top of everything throughout the planning process and somehow managed to be even more responsive and proactive during the final weeks leading up to the event. Our Wedding day was flawlessly executed. Caroline ran with the game plan, improvising when necessary and left us without a care in the world. We were her number one priority and were very well taken care of. She went above and beyond to make this day special. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue. The land, the house, the TREES... every inch of the gorgeous plantation was carefully tended to. Everything was in full bloom on the day of our wedding. The ceremony underneath the trees was incredible. There are so many uniquely beautiful views, that every picture you take is a keeper. We would STRONGLY recommend Stella Plantation to anyone!

Stella was the perfect place to celebrate my wedding! As a New Orleans native and wedding vendor, I've seen dozens of area venues. When it came to planning my own wedding reception, I wanted something that would be new and special to me, something that had an authentic feel and that met my budget. I was unfamiliar with Stella and skeptical when my fiance suggested it, but as soon as we stepped on the property, I saw the potential. When we met Caroline Parrone, the deal was sealed. The location is remarkably convenient, the beautiful site is framed by live oaks that could be nowhere else but south Louisiana, the atmosphere is relaxed and Caroline is a consummate professional. She was a steady presence during the planning and perfectly managed things on the day of our reception. She accommodated our requests over the months of planning, steered us in the right direction for finding vendors for everything from the wedding cake to table decorations and even found a florist to make up three overlooked bridesmaids bouquets just hours before our wedding ceremony. Thanks to Caroline, we had the perfect celebration of our wedding day at Stella--a wonderful party in a beautiful place. I give Stella and Caroline my highest recommendation.

My husband and I are from Long Beach, NY and were married at Stella on March 4, 2017, and I must say it was truly an event for the ages. I can't say enough wonderful things about the venue or the wonderful events coordinator Caroline, not only did she organize our wedding but also helped with planning the entire weekend for our guests. The venue itself is stunning! It was the first venue we saw and immediately knew it was the one. The trees alone will take your breath away, but the houses on the plantation are exquisite for pictures and the tent is a blank canvas for you imagination to run wild. Being that we were so far away, Caroline helped with every decision and every detail. When my husband and I were in LA, she had appointments with multiple vendors set up and ready to go. Caroline was at every appointment and answers any questions we had and aided in keeping our ballpark budget in control (she is very good at keeping you within your budget). Caroline was a part of countless phone conferences and even met with us in NY, when she was in our neck of the woods. Caroline is a very organized, detailed and a hard worker. My husband and I were truly blessed that she made everything so easy for us and made our wedding weekend perfect for not only my husband and I but also for our 130 guests. I highly recommend the Stella Plantation and Caroline.

We held my daughters wedding at Stella three years ago and our guests are still talking about how beautiful Stella is and what a great experience they had. I recommend Stella to anyone getting married.

From the moment that I came out for a visit to see to the final day, Caroline was there for it all. She was able to answer every question and her attention to detail made it possible to iron out any kinks before they were an issue. The oaks and grounds were immaculate and made for some amazing photos with the help of Austyn Marie! The staff on our day were amazing and ensured that we enjoyed our special day. Stella was a wonderful place for our daughter's wedding reception. Caroline did an excellent job for us, beginning with the first day of planning over a year before the wedding and continuing until the event was over and the last bus pulled out of the parking lot. She is a true professional and gave us excellent direction every step of the way, even when we dropped the ball or wandered off course. She understands that people and families are imperfect, but the event must go on! She even saved us on the morning of the wedding when we realized we needed more bouquets! We are grateful to Caroline and extremely happy we chose such a beautiful and gracious place as Stella for our daughter's reception.

As a bride planning our wedding from halfway around the world, I had initially thought having a destination wedding in NOLA was going to be a challenge. This was not the case with Stella Plantation. Caroline was amazing to work with, from the initial planning stages right through to making sure everything ran smoothly on the day, always professional, and ready to help with any last minute details with a smile. This coming from a bride who DID forget a couple things and she was a life saver! I do not have enough positive words I could say to explain the experience we had on our magical day. Stella is not only breathtaking, but the way the venue can cater to your individual needs to make your day truly yours, was something I always treasure. We had the grounds for the entire day (which was amazing as many other venues tend to book two weddings in a day!), every single detail went without a hitch and was one of the best days of our lives.

This venue is perfect whether you want a blank canvas to design or a gorgeous backdrop on your special day! In my case, I wanted to design every inch of the permanent tent without worrying about creating the structure, a floor, restrooms, climate control, etc! They were so accommodating and welcoming and our guests even thoroughly enjoyed the bus ride as we provided tunes, games, and drinks to entertain them! Our ceremony photos have timeless and majestic oaks in the background and we were able to create a reception that was completely custom for us! I loved being able to design every inch of our special day!

My wedding was the most picture perfect, magical day ever and all because of my venue choice and the amazing venue wedding coordinator, Caroline! I had a specific vision in mind and Caroline made it come to life even though it was a layout design the venue had not yet done before. The price was incredibly reasonable and included everything- chairs, linens, tables, a golf cart to drive my grandparents around in, and much more. I was able to enjoy every second of my wedding day thanks to the meticulous planning Caroline and Stella Plantation did on my behalf. Even though I was not a high maintenance bride the ambiance of my big day was crucial and Caroline not only understood my vision, but she also went above and beyond to make my vision better than even my (now) husband and I could even imagine. If you are looking for a venue for your upcoming nuptials do yourself a favor and check out Stella Plantation. You won't be disappointed.

My daughter was married Dec. 10 at Stella Plantation. It exceeded our expectations. We loved staying in the house & the property was beautiful! Caroline was so easy to work with in planning and then the wedding. Thanks again for everything!

We had our destination wedding at Stella Plantation for 70 of our closest friends and family. We chose this venue/location as it was "half way" for our Tennessee and Texas sides. It was perfect!! Our families stayed in the main house for the weekend and it was a great gathering point for everyone. The guys loved the Cook House to get ready and the girls got ready (along with the flower girls, family, etc) at the Guest House. We also stayed there for our wedding it. It was amazing and beautiful! The weather was a bit chilly, but with the sun shining and the trees glowing, it was perfect! The tent is fabulous and Caroline did an amazing job making sure everything was taken care of.......right down to getting a motorcoach from NOLA onto the ferry!! I couldn't have asked for a better venue and it will forever be special to us.

We had our ceremony and reception at Stella. It's gorgeous and everything we wanted. We loved having our small intamite wedding day at this breath-taking fairytale venue. Caroline is absolutely amazing and patient. I'm so glad we found this place.

I began planning, like most brides, a soon as the ring was slipped on my finger......I live in Arizona but knew New Orleans was the destination for our wedding the minute I met my husband two years ago. He is a native, born and raised. We began planning via the internet and I came across Stella, just from the pictures I knew this was it. I requested information and immediately the event planner, Caroline Parrone, contacted me. She was so accommodating over the phone and provided more information than I could even digest! My mother and I planned a trip for October 2015 to meet Caroline and see the plantation. It was breathtaking! Caroline was so amazing and knowledgeable. Being that we were 1,400 miles away she set up a schedule for monthly phone meetings to touch base. With every phone call I fell more and more in "like" with her! She is so organized, patient, and kind! Fast forward to the big day....it was amazing! Caroline took all the signs and decorations I had shipped, along with the decorating company and floral arrangements and created a look I didn't even know I wanted! She was so attentive the day of and helped to keep me calm during stressful moments! She treated me like a friend and always made me and the bridal party feel at home. Between the setting of giant oak trees, sprawling grass and Caroline this is a no brainer! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting on our special day! Thank you Caroline and Stella Plantation for making it so magical!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Stella Plantation on 9/3/2016, and we cannot say enough about it. The venue was absolutely perfect, multiple guests told us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The grounds are stunningly beautiful, and the venue is truly versatile – the staff is able to transform it to become your dream wedding. The manicured grounds and magnificent oak trees made a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony and pictures. We loved the yard games Stella provided for extra entertainment for the guests. Even the bathrooms are beautiful. Stella Plantation is a hidden gem where we had a wedding better than we could have imagined. Caroline was amazing through the entire planning process and even better on the wedding day. She truly cared about us and made sure this day was perfect and special for us. From the beginning she strove to understand who we are and what we care about (good food, good drinks, beautiful scenery and a good time for all of our guests). She had creative ideas for décor, guest favors, and photo ops to make the day extra special for us and our loved ones. She made Stella Plantation and the wedding day “ours,” and went above and beyond to take care of all the little details on the wedding day so we could enjoy the experience (gathering items to send home with us, paying the vendors, gathering cards, providing bug spray, the list goes on). She also understood how stressed I got from planning the details, and made the process simple and easy to take as much stress from me as possible. I really can’t say enough about what an amazing wedding planner she is – she is simply the best. We couldn’t have done it without her.

Stella Plantation's unlimited versatility and wonderful staff allowed my husband and I to create the wedding of our dreams. Living in Memphis, TN, I was a little concerned about how we were going to pull off a wedding states away. However, the day went off without a hitch. Our day was PERFECT!

My wife and I were married at Stella this year and WOW, what a place. The grounds are meticulously kept and bring such natural beauty that we had no need for flowers which saved us a bunch of money. Caroline is one of the most helpful people we've ever dealt with and that includes all industries, not just who we hired for the wedding. She has an incredible work ethic and truly cared about delivering an amazing experience for us and our guests. We are from out of town so this was a destination wedding which can make things even more stressful however we didn't have that experience thanks to Caroline. We are from out of state and were searching for a venue. We compared Oak Alley, Nottoway and Stella Plantation, and my now husband and I were unanimous about going with Stella as our venue. Not only was it a fraction of the cost.. but we fell in luv with Caroline when we met her. You see, I am very big on customer service-- something I feel is lacking a lot in the industry today, so that was my stipulation when we went to view these venues. I didn't want a venue that was going to "sell" us something we didn't want. I wanted someone who genuinely wanted to host our wedding and make it the best day possible for us. Caroline initially told us that she is from New York (ding ding!), which to me is a flag that means she is a fast-paced worker with a great work ethic (I'm originally from the midwest, so work ethic is very high on my list of musts). She immediately shared with us several ideas for our wedding, ways to save, gave us vendors to vet, and more! We were sold! We could not have made a better decision. She was consistently helpful throughout the entire process. Being out of state and planning a wedding can be difficult. We were beyond appreciative of the help you provided us to make it the best day of our lives, AND stay in our budget. The grounds were beautiful on the day of the wedding. We go lucky and managed to find the driest day of the weekend in several weekends (someone was watching over us!), and everything was so lush and green. Several of our guests now how their family photos with Stella as the backdrop because everything was so perfect. The wedding day itself went off without any problems. We hired Caroline as our day-of coordinator, and she was on top of EVERYTHING! She scheduled everything and everyone, moved our guests where they may have been needed, informed our vendors of any changes, and more. We are so grateful we chose Stella as our venue and Caroline as our Coordinator. We could not have been happier!

Our wedding was beautiful at the Stella Plantation. The staff was so helpful and accommodating! Caroline went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and everything we had envisioned. They have a permanent tent on the premises that was perfect for our occasion. The natural beauty of the plantation made our wedding feel like a fairy tale!

We celebrated the marriage of our only daughter this past weekend at Stella. It was a "Fairy Tale" event. I just can't say enough about the beauty of the grounds, tent, and houses. All the amenities were utilized and it made for ease of preparation and photos. There were a few hiccups along the way but Caroline quickly helped us resolve them and the end result was amazing. We are from Plaquemines Parish born and raised just across the Mississippi River in Belle Chasse and wanted Betsey to have a Southern wedding. After checking out one other venue she fell in love with Stella. It had everything she wanted in one place at a reasonable price within our budget. The vendors we used were preferred vendors of Stella so we didn't really have to worry about preparations. The food, cake, and decorations (tent draping, uplighting, and chandeliers) were all perfect. We did get to add a few special touches to the tent to personalize it but for the most part it was done by someone else to make it easier for us. We got to enjoy the festivities. From our first visit till the walk down the aisle Caroline guided us every step of the way. She made suggestions and was very receptive to our ideas. She handled the day with ease and it went by without a hitch. She was very prompt and on top of everything dealing with planning our once in a lifetime fairy tale. We couldn't have done it without her. We highly recommend Stella for your wedding.

We had our ceremony and reception at Stella on 3/5/16, my husband and I, along with our 175 guests had the most unforgettable, beautiful, fun, romantic and classy outdoor wedding experience. Every single one of our guests has told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. My husband and I, along with most of our guests, are from Illinois, and Caroline Parrone did the most amazing job referring us to vendors, helping us with decisions and providing her wedding coordination services. I highly recommend Stella Plantation as top notch venue for a traditional southern wedding. First, the grounds are naturally beautiful, impeccably kept, and provide a myriad of different backdrops for stunning wedding photographs. Whether you pose in front of the historic home, the 200 year-old oak trees, the other rustic but elegant buildings, or simply the open grounds, the opportunities are a photographer’s and bride’s dream for perfect wedding pictures. Another great thing about Stella Plantation is the fact that it can accommodate a small and intimate wedding as well as one with hundreds of guests. My wedding ceremony had only 40 guests, and was held in an small area under one of the oak trees. Thereafter, more than 350 guests arrived for the reception. We were able to set up the grounds and tent with ease to accommodate the number of guests by opening the sides of the tent so that it could be extended with a “tent” of string lights out into the yard for a half indoor, half outdoor wedding. We also set up an outdoor screen and viewing area made up of hay benches and blankets for guests to watch a slideshow of our family pictures. The wedding coordinator and staff at Stella were wonderful to deal with and accommodated to the best of their ability every special request that we had. The food from the Stella Plantation preferred caterer, New Orleans Catering, was also outstanding. We had passed hors d'oeuvres, including grilled tuna and duck, a separate outdoor area with raw and charbroiled oysters being shucked and cooked to order, and inside the tent we served a variety of other traditional southern fare. Stella offers the utmost versatility to create a bride’s own vision of her unique southern wedding, rather than so many venues that offer a one-size fits all, replicated wedding factory approach.

We had our daughters wedding at Stella Plantation on 9/26/15. Although this review is late, everything at Stella was right on time. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, manicured, and everything, very well kept. Rental of The Guest House and The Cook House allowed us the time and ability to actually take it all in. Although this is all true, the most astounding aspect of this experience was dealing with the staff. Caroline Parrone(On Site Coordinator) is awesome. She would go above and beyond to make sure that everything was right. By the time it was over, she seemed more like family. Don't get me wrong, I never like spending money, but this was truly a great experience and I definitely would do it again.

My daughter's wedding was at Stella Plantation on November 7, 2015. This was a day that torrential rains came down on Braithwaite, LA. Her ceremony was supposed to be under the lazy oak tree with the reception in the tent. Well the rain ruined that. That's where Caroline Parrone, the wedding coordinator at Stella came to the rescue. Caroline moved the ceremony to the carriage house which was perfect. We thought it would be in the tent. No one thought of the carriage house until Caroline brought it up. The rain tried to put a damper on our plans but Caroline and her staff at Stella would not let that happen. They worked tirelessly to see that everything was perfect and it was. I highly recommend Stella for a wedding venue, and you will not find a better wedding coordinator than Caroline Parrone. She does everything in her power to make your wedding day perfect and she never gives up. Phones calls and emails were answered right away and she has really good ideas. Caroline deserves the highest of compliments. She was absolutely wonderful.

My expectations of the wedding day were far exceeded! Not only is this such a beautiful and unique venue, but Caroline is seriously the BEST coordinator. She went above and beyond to accommodate us throughout the entire planning process and although I was incredibly indecisive she was still exceptionally patient. She was a tremendous help during the days leading up to the wedding by coordinating with outside vendors, but also the day of the wedding where she was actually out there setting up decor with us. She was easily accessible and always there to answer my questions which made the process so much less stressful than it otherwise could've been. She made sure everything went smoothly and as planned and honestly I didn't have a single worry...the day turned out absolutely perfect! The grounds are perfect for an outdoor ceremony with southern charm, so we knew right away that we wanted our ceremony to take place under the gorgeous oak trees in front of the plantation. Being that my husband and I both grew up in Plaquemines Parish having our wedding at Stella made the day even more special. The facilities at Stella are SO convenient. All of the girls were able to get ready in the Guest House before the wedding, while all of the guys were getting ready in the Cook House right next door. Being able to do this made it so much easier! We were able to bring our own food to heat up on the stove and chill our mimosas in the fridge. They have a full table for you to eat, two bathrooms (one with a shower), and a hairdressing/makeup bar as well. The tent used for the reception is a big open floor, which was great for us since we have a huge family that LOVES to dance! All of our guests were calling us afterwards to tell us how great of a time they had. My husband and I had soooo much fun and wish we could go back and do it all over again! I highly highly recommend Stella...you won't be disappointed!

My mom and I went to 11 different venues before checking out Stella Plantation. I knew I wanted an outdoor wedding with that southern charm, without all the noise from the busy streets. Going to Stella I always had in the back of my mind that it was a little too far out but once I arrived, I knew I had to get married under their oak trees! It wasn't until August that I was introduced to Caroline, Stella's event manager. She was amazing! She is always on top of things, always got back to me quick! Fast forward to my wedding day, it was an 80% chance of rain. I knew I wouldn't get my ceremony under the oak trees. Caroline suggested the Carriage house, instead of the tent, which I loved! It had never been done before. Even through the horrible down pour, Caroline took care of it all. I got many compliments on her and how hard she worked to make the day special for us even with the rain pouring down! Stella did not disappoint and I would HIGHLY recommend them! If you're looking for an outdoor, southern wedding, this is the place for you!

Having our wedding at Stella Plantation was amazing! The grounds were beautiful, the tent was perfect, and the staff was extremely helpful. The team at Stella are very genuine, and helpful in every way possible. They provided us with lists of vendors we could use for all of our other wedding needs, and we were not disappointed. Overall, our wedding day was wonderful, and we can thank Stella Plantation for helping make it a little bit more magical!

Stella Plantation was not only the most breathtaking venue for my wedding (Feb 2015), my guests got to experience a true New Orleans working plantation! The climate controlled tent put my dad at ease for weather scares, but luckily the weather was on our side. We had about 200 guests comfortably in the tent & a cocktail hour with festoon lighting prior to the reception outside. Krystle, our wedding planner, was wonderful and super helpful with every detail from the moment we toured and booked. Look no further. Seriously, I couldn't have dreamed up a more gorgeous venue or a more perfect evening for my wedding.

If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue in New Orleans, you just found it. Seriously. Quit looking, call Stella, and book a date. Then make yourself a drink to celebrate, because you're a genius. We recently got married at Stella this past May and EVERYTHING-- from the service, to the grounds, to the facilities was beyond perfect. It is so rare when what you're imagining while you're planning actually ends up happening, but we had such a great team supporting us with Stella, that the weekend actually exceeded our expectations. We had the added complication of being a couple living in Los Angeles and having ours be a destination wedding, but it never felt that way. Krystle (property manager) is BEYOND accommodating and welcoming, and she just makes you feel like you're getting married at your own private southern mansion. She makes herself very accessible, has great ideas and vendor suggestions, and was always enthusiastic and excited about everything Stella and about everything we wanted to do. At the end, we seriously wanted to be her friend. She's that cool. And also, she's soooo not wedding-stuffy. I really don't know how we would have pulled off our wedding without her-- whether it was shipping items out early or letting us take 10 different scouting visits...she really put us at ease even though we were planning everything from thousands of miles away. You rock Krystle. One of the problems we had when visiting other venues was that you had to buy into what THEIR vision of a wedding should be-- from their vendors to their time limits, to varied access to the property...there were too many specific rules as to what you had to follow, and little freedom to make the day your own. At Stella- this is NOT the case. They really want your event- whether it be a wedding, a big party or a corporate event, to really feel special and personal to YOU, and they give you the freedom to make your event exactly how you want. It was really awesome, and at the end of the day, isn't that how you want your wedding to feel? Personal? We know ours did. A bonus to Stella is that when you rent the property, the entire day is booked for you. There aren't other weddings earlier or later in the day you have to compete with- its just one event per day. Which is awesome, because again, it feels like your own private place, and there aren't tour groups walking around or other randos milling about. Your event feels very private- like a big ol' secret party happening in the middle of nowhere. The facilities are simply amazing. There's a beautiful house for the bridal party to get ready in, complete with kitchen, makeup vanities, music systems, and a tv, and another house for the groomsmen. And they are HUGE. Its a perfect relaxing way to get ready with the people you love while still being able to make sure that the set-up is going smoothly. There's also a 60x80 permanent tent, a beautiful permanent bathroom (its ridiculous how nice it is), an on-site pool, a creek... gorgeous old oak trees.... it literally has everything you want.

We had our wedding at Stella Plantation over Easter weekend. We used the on-site coordinator, Krystle, and Stella's recommended caterers. It was a perfect wedding. Krystle was amazing: she was invaluable in planning ahead of time, figuring out our tastes, presenting us with options, coordinating with the various parties/subcontractors, and guiding us toward the wedding of our dreams. On the day itself she seamlessly handled whatever small issues are bound to crop up so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. The caterers were professional and courteous. Finally, Stella itself was a magnificent setting. It was gorgeous and spacious without being as imposing as some of the other venues near NoLa. The fact that Stella is still up-and-coming made us feel even more welcome. Bottom line: we couldn't be happier and would without hesitation recommend both Stella and Krystle to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Thank you so much!

My husband and I were married recently at Stella Plantation, and it was a truly wonderful experience. It exceeded my every expectation, and there is absolutely nothing I would want to go back and do differently. The venue is just beautiful with alleys of huge oak trees and green everywhere. Krystle, the event planner for the venue, made the whole experience from planning to "I do" one that was both enjoyable and worthwhile. I was very intimidated about planning a wedding with my busy schedule, but Krystle made this process very do-able and fun for me. The best thing is – she took our dream and brought every aspect of it to life. Even the rain could not damper the day, as Stella handled the last minute weather adjustments extremely well so that the light rain that fell during the ceremony only added to the natural feel of the venue. My guests are still going on about how beautiful my wedding was. In all, I am so grateful to Krystle and Stella Plantation – I honestly couldn't have imagined a wedding day that was so perfect and that celebrated my husband and I so well.
