We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Stella of New Hope the night before our wedding, and it was the perfect way to start our wedding weekend. Mitch’s parents hosted about 120 of our closest family and friends, and Stella gave us such a fun, relaxed night before the craziness of the next day.
Shyanne was wonderful to work with leading up to the dinner. She helped us put together the menu and work through all of the details, and everything came together beautifully. And the food was DELICIOUS. We had so many people tell us afterward how much they loved dinner. The drinks were incredible too — the pomegranate drink was so good that people kept ordering them all night, and at one point someone actually thought it was a signature drink!
The setting was also perfect. Stella opened up the doors to the outside so everyone could sit by the river, which made the whole evening feel even more special. It was beautiful without feeling overly formal, which was exactly what we wanted for our rehearsal dinner.
Grant, the shift lead that night, deserves a special shoutout. He made a point of checking on Mitch and me throughout the evening and making sure we didn't have to worry about anything. With 120 people there, there was plenty that could have required our attention, but somehow we never had to think about it. We got to spend the night laughing, drinking, eating, and actually being with the people we love.
The wedding the next day was obviously the more emotional part of the weekend, but looking back, I think we’ll always be grateful that Stella was where we started it. The rehearsal dinner was just FUN — everyone we loved in one place, great food, incredible drinks, the river outside, and so much excitement for what was coming the next day.

Located in New Hope, PA, Stella of New Hope is a restaurant and wedding venue in a refurbished historic building. At this eatery, guests can dine and dance while gazing out at the winding Delaware River. The small-town-America ambience adds to the restaurant's charms, making it a welcoming and memorable setting for “I dos.”
Sherri and Kevin Daugherty are the owners of Stella of New Hope and oversee a number of other properties around the area. The restaurant is in the same building as Ghost Light Inn, which Sherri and Kevin renovated alongside the eatery. The menus center on dishes created with locally sourced ingredients. The chefs update the selections each season, creating a dynamic and fresh-tasting menu no matter the time of year. The sophisticated spaces, services, and culinary offerings allow couples to easily create the wedding of their dreams.
Stella of New Hope has spaces for both indoor and outdoor nuptial celebrations. The Promenade is a ground-level area where guests can walk along the riverfront. It can accommodate up to 150 individuals for a standing reception. Upstairs, couples can host their event on the covered patio. This intimate space is suitable for up to 45 seated guests. Available for three seasons, it has heaters and blankets for when temperatures drop. Inside, the elegant ballroom provides another celebratory space with river views. Its large windows make it open and bright, which is complemented by the light and neutral color scheme. This space can seat up to 150 guests. The dining room and bar also provide room for up to 60 loved ones in a seated-dining setting. The refined room has been carefully designed to achieve a sense of sophistication. Catering is provided and the team allows outside vendors.

morning after. After visiting and considering several locations in town, we chose Stella of New Hope – and we are so grateful we did.
Located beautifully along the Delaware River with wonderful views overlooking Lambertville, NJ, Stella provided the perfect setting for both events. The scenery was stunning, but what impressed us even more was the food, service, and attention to detail.
Both events were a great success. Our guests loved the food, the service was attentive, professional, and seamless. We worked closely with Zack, Shyanne, and Grant, who helped make sure everything was organized and exactly what we hoped for.
A special thank you to the entire wait staff and bartenders at Stella. They took such great care of our guests and helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the weekend.
We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate with our family and friends.

ind, accommodating, and simply a pleasure to work with. I had so many questions throughout the planning process that were always answered quickly and professionally. Whenever we needed suggestions or looking for recommendations for something, Zack always had an answer and was willing to provide.
Our wedding day was nothing short of beautiful, and the attention to detail that went into every single aspect of the day was incredible. I brought a few things to be set up at the welcome table, but otherwise left the rest into the capable hands of the Stella team in terms of laying out and decorating (which they had some items of their own that we were able to use the day of!) and they did such a fantastic job.
The staff were incredibly kind to us throughout the entire evening - they checked in multiple times throughout the evening to make sure my husband and I were well fed and taken care of, always. At the end of the night, we even got a carryout bag of the cheeseburgers and sampling of the desserts we had out for guests, which was a welcome (and delicious!) surprise. Our guests also noted how attentive and approachable the waitstaff was!
Our wedding day went flawlessly thanks to Zack and his entire team. The planning, coordination, and effort of him, Shyanne, Chelsea, and all of the rest of the team does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Stella is simply the perfect setting, location, and environment for a wedding. We wish we could relive the day over and over again!

Zack had questionnaires that helped lead us through all of the planning and gave us helpful suggestions throughout when we were unsure. Most of our vendors had also been at Stella multiple times which also helped since they had an idea of what the setup would look like and who to talk to if they needed to. We got so many comments on the beautiful venue and the amazing food, people are still talking about it a week after. We would 100% recommend Stella of New Hope for your wedding.

and we did not have to worry about a thing. They took care of the set up and the breakdown which meant we could have an enjoyable day leading up to our wedding, and head straight to our after party. The venue is beautiful and honestly didn't even need that much additional decor because of it. It was the best day of my life and we got so many compliments about the entire event - from food to ambiance to the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff. ne of that would have been possible without the efforts of Mr. Zachary Artz and his team. He takes such pride in his work, that I didn’t have to lift a finger all night, except to drink my endless espresso martinis. If you want a high-end, hands-off wedding, then Stella is definitely the venue for you. This was easily the best day of my life.
I also want to give a shoutout to everyone else working the venue. The bartenders were so friendly and very efficient. The people working the parking lot were super helpful. Shyanne kept an eye on us all night long to make sure we had everything we needed, as well as countless other staff members. I wouldn’t change a thing about that day!

re staff at Stella were so accommodating and helpful, catering to me as I was asking for ginger ale and so many glasses of water to help make me feel better during the day of. The venue is beautiful - rustic, but not gaudy, which was perfect for my husband and myself. The riverfront view was absolutely a dream and I felt like I was taken care of by absolutely everyone at the venue. In a way, everyone was incredibly emotionally intelligent - I felt taken care of without feeling suffocated by people asking if I needed anything.

Future Brides: The only thing I would say is PLEASE have them make up a sample menu for you based on your estimated guest count BEFORE you book with them. Our "estimated amount due" went up by a whopping $7,000-$8,000 that we weren't expecting. Soooo. Everything else was a dream, but PLEASE ask them to create a sample menu for you so the final price is not a surprise.

ifference. We picked the venue because I loved the view of the water, the queer and spooky vibe of New Hope, and the overall size and feel of the venue. We only planned to have between 75-100 guests and this space was perfect for that, we also loved the upscale feel of the venue and the food. Zach, Shyanne and Chelsea deserve so much recognition, they were very responsive, helpful and accommodating. Also, several guests pointed out to us that the staff at Stella and all of the coordinators genuinely were in a good mood and happy to be there. The ceremony space was amazing, and it was actually quite fun to have a few onlookers cheer on our wedding.
The menu options were great and very customizable, we had so much fun picking the stations, menu options, and desserts. My wife and I both do not eat gluten and we were able to really tailor the menu in a way in which we were able to enjoy everything that we wanted to on our wedding day. Also, the food came out so fast, everything was hot, and we did not see a single guest waiting on their food to come out while others were eating. We are so glad that we chose to get married here, and we are certain that our wedding would not have been the same without them!

ve. In orchestrating the day he was focused, clear, positive, and supportive. He does not miss a beat and stops at nothing to make sure that things run flawlessly. Shyanne was also such a light to work with, she was enthusiastically accommodating and so sweet! Both of them also did an incredible job stylizing the cocktail hour and reception spaces, it was just beyond what we could’ve hoped for (will update with more photos once they’re ready!). The greater staff of Stella made all of our food + drink dreams come true, and did it with grace and cheer. The grounds of Stella are so perfectly kempt (and the setting literally couldn’t be better), it provided the most beautiful landscape for our ceremony. Things just could not have gone better, and for that we will forever be grateful. We already can’t wait for our next visit to Stella.

Zack, Shyanne and team executed our day flawlessly - they're true professionals who know what they're doing and even with delays from others vendors causing our ceremony to start almost an hour late, Zack was calm and flexible, which helped us feel a little more at ease amid the chaos. We didn't eat much at cocktail hour or any of the dessert table unfortunately, but everything we did eat was delicious and we only heard great things from our guests about the food and beautiful waterfront views of the venue. I'd absolutely recommend having your special day at Stella.

No question was too small and when we ran into issues, like torrential rain on our wedding day, the staff jumped into action with a backup plan for our ceremony and everything was still as perfect as I could’ve hoped. An extra note: Stella has a sister property called Carriage House of New Hope with 3 luxury suites that is only a block away. This is where our bridal party got ready and where we did our first look and majority of pictures. It is another beautiful location that really elevated our whole wedding weekend.

From the moment we reached out to inquire about the event, we had quick response times and the event staff went above and beyond to help us create a magical night. The event spaces are awesome and versatile. Also the price for what you are getting is unmatched in the area.
Our event space was right on the water and it was a huge hit with our guests! Just an amazing experience overall. I know they do actual weddings as well but we had too many guests or we would've looked here for that too.

We loved the ceremony outside, the beautiful ballroom and views, and the incredible drinks, food, and overall service. Zach, was our wedding coordinator and his team on site was just amazing. He was super helpful & responsive during the planning process, and executed the event without a hitch. Of course, the food was amazing, not your typical wedding food experience, everything from the hors d'oeuvres to the entree stations to the dessert spread was delicious! The venue is beautiful, sitting right on the river, and the venue itself is beautifully decorated. I really can't praise them enough, I highly recommend Stella for any special event you're planning. They are true professionals!

ugh to the day after the wedding- all thanks to the amazing team of wedding coordinators that work at Stella! We felt like a king and queen the day of, with every little detail taken care of. We could tell the coordinators really cared about making our day perfect! The venue itself is beautiful, from the riverfront promenade ceremony to cocktail hour on the covered deck to the beautiful ballroom for dinner & dancing. For all these perks, the price really wasn't bad either. We wouldn't change a single thing about the entire wedding planning process or the day of the wedding. HIGHLY recommend, you won't regret it!

a was so helpful and patient with us while we navigated what we wanted our reception-turned-one-year-anniversary party to be in Sept. 2021. When we originally booked, Zack was not our contact but he did a great job jumping right in at the end of 2020 and getting caught up on what we were planning and hoping to do. He was very helpful in shaping the event we had, which we completely changed a few weeks before our due to low RSVPs. He was very patient while we changed almost every detail because of this. We ended up going ahead with a family-style meal on their street-level space, open to the promenade, and it could not have been more perfect. The food (tip: get the fried pickles passed app), the layout of the tables, the drinks, everything. The views are spectacular: our guests were outside taking in the views well into the night. Our guests were completely satisfied the entire time and could not stop raving about the food and beauty of the space. Zack, Rashard (the catering manager) and the entire staff at Stella are tremendous. Zach made sure that I, my husband, even our families had everything we needed and were never without food, drinks, or anything. We cannot recommend Zack, Rashard and Stella enough, we cannot thank them enough for making our event (2 years in the making!) so wonderful, perfect and worth the wait.

food, views of the Delaware River, and iconic backdrop of the Bucks County Playhouse. After a difficult summer, we booked our May 2021 wedding with Stella in the fall of 2020. Shortly thereafter, Stella hired a new event manager - Zack. Zack was so helpful in bringing our wedding vision to life. He have us helpful suggestions about timing for the day and decor and worked with us to make sure we could have the best day possible with the COVID restrictions. On the day of our wedding, Zack kept everything and everyone organized - we didn't have to worry about a thing! Our reception on the green between Stella and the Playhouse was beautiful. We had perfect weather and our small group of guests (67 in total) fit perfectly in the space. At the reception, Stella's waitstaff was incredible - our guests wanted for nothing. My husband and I thought the food was amazing (especially the ceviche and the beef coulotte with chimichurri sauce) and we heard rave reviews from our guests. We held our reception in the Promenade on the first level of Stella to take advantage of its outdoor event capacity to meet the COVID restrictions. I was skeptical about the space at first, but it was perfect for an intimate wedding and gave our guests the chance to spend time outside on a beautiful night. We were able to arrange valet parking for our guests to make things as easy as possible for them. We had a great time and really appreciate Zack and his team. We highly recommend Stella for a wedding or any event!

a venue with a stylish, elegant feel. The event manager, Zack, was always there to guide our journey. When we first met with him, he talked us through the trajectory of our wedding from start to finish. He took a considerable amount of time to thoroughly walk us through and answer any questions that we had. He was persistent in communication, which was great for me because I always had a question pop up! While planning, Zack gave the most incredible ideas for our food, ambiance and overall structure to our special day. Most importantly, he always reminded us that this was OUR day. The food and service is excellent at Stella. The classy style, meticulous attention to detail, stunning views and overall sophisticated experience... it was everything we asked for. On my wedding day, I felt relaxed and I never had to worry. The coordinator was there every step of the way, guiding me. What I appreciated most was the time I had to celebrate with my husband. We had a gorgeous first look, a beautiful moment together after the ceremony and such a perfect, memorable reception. I also would like to add that we searched for a venue that also had hotel accommodations, and staying at the attached Ghost Light Inn was satisfactory! My husband and I continue to go to the Stella restaurant, as the food is exquisite... and so beautiful! There is not one thing I would have changed. If you are looking for an absolutely breathtaking spot, then choose Stella!
