Bonnie was a recommended florist from our wedding coordinator, Kaelyn Query from My Wedding Planner. My husband and I are both from the Midwest (Indiana and Kentucky) but we met in...
Phoenix, where we now live. We decided on a desert theme for our wedding because of where we met. Bonnie instantly understood our vision and I had full trust in her to make our vision come to life. We visited her business and I was able to pick out the vases and containers for our arrangements. Her selection was broad, gorgeous and very up to date. I was very impressed.
Bonnie made my Pinterest dreams come true as well, and went out of her way to make it happen. We wanted cactus paddles to serve as our table numbers, and I worried so much about how to make it happen. Bonnie ordered the cactus paddles which came in looking very beat up and unusable. She spoke with the supplier, had more overnighted and we had the table numbers we dreamed of! I so appreciate her going above and beyond to make that happen, and at an affordable price.
I was very impressed with the type of flowers, extensive detail and overall impact of the floral arrangements Bonnie created for the price she quoted us. Our space looked incredibly lush and beautiful and it fit within our budget. I am so grateful for Bonnie’s work and tenacity in helping us create such a gorgeous wedding day.
I've worked with Bonnie and the team @ STEMS on special gala events for over 2 decades and she always goes above & beyond. Although not the most technically adept in communicating ...
with the younger audience, I find Bonnie's work to be exceptional. If you can work around the fact that the professionals @ STEMS does not live on the computer, seldom snaps a selfie, still uses pen and paper for note taking then you will get along just fine. Call first to make sure Bonnie has time to meet. Print out your style guide and walk into the shop. You will get the best bang for your buck. I've contracted with her team for an upcoming wedding for my daughter in May and can't wait to see the beautiful arrangements.
Unfortunately, there is not a 0 starts option here. My matron of honor's mother had utilized Stems for one of their family weddings, so we met with Bonnie in June 2021. We were adv...
ised (as others were) that she only communicates via snail mail and that we could anticipate our quote within two weeks. A month passes, and I was advised during a follow-up call that the quote was definitely in the mail. Another month passed, and I was advised that she would make an exception and email the quote that night. During a third follow-up call weeks after that, Bonnie admitted that the quote was still not done but that she thought it would be done soon. She advised that we were not asking for any unusual or out-of-season flowers but did not ever provide a clear reason for why we still did not have a quote. We gave up after five months and hired a different florist.
I am writing this review because 9 months after our initial meeting, I received a mailed quote from Bonnie with no explanation. Having already hired a different florist, we recycled it. Two weeks before our wedding we received a curt phone call asking "how we would be going forward and what we had selected from the quote she provided", as if there was a possibility that we would have waited all that time to hear from her. It is a mystery to me how other couples have been able to work with Bonnie given our absolutely bizarre experience with her. She is a wholesaler and claims to be the most affordable, however, our florist's prices were competitive and more affordable and our arrangements were lush. Believe what the reviews say about her poor communication, save yourself the time and energy, and work with someone who is organized and will communicate with you in a timely manner.

mend Stems LLC to anyone who is looking for a florist, and she was also very affordable and able to work within a budget.
The flowers were beautiful. They delivered on time and we had plenty of little extra flowers for decorations. I was disappointed that even though we only asked for white and green ...
flowers everywhere, there was lots of light pink in all of the arrangements. We agreed that some pink was needed, but we insisted it would be extremely minimal. There were four large pink ranunculus in my bouquet.
The Stems Team blew me away when I got to see our wedding flowers for the first time. I knew when I hired them that they were going to do a great job, so I gave them some creative...
freedom and wasn't at all disappointed. Everything was absolutely beautiful and like nothing I had ever seen before (the two things I knew I wanted.) Throughout the planning process, meetings with Bonnie were a joy and always left me feeling less stressed and more at ease about how setup would go and everything would look. I'm a very type A bride, and I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience!

eusing things where appropriate and listening to your vision for the day. Bonnie is old school in her paperwork though and only sends handwritten estimates through the mail which can significantly delay the process of finding a florist and adjusting your budget.
In the end though, Bonnie came through and provided beautiful flowers, great centerpieces and overall just some amazing decor.

If you need a florist for any occasion- wedding, derby party, decorations, a special bouquet, etc. look no further. Ms. Bonnie at Stems is the best. She is the most affordable arou...
nd town, because she is a wholesale florist. Everyone else gets their flowers from her and then designs them. She can easily just do it all on her own. She is old school in the sense that she is a Lexington native, knows everyone, knows every event venue, and has done thousands and thousands of events. Let her do her thing, because she is amazing. She delivers, picks up, designs, pins on bouts for the boys, has eisels to rent, etc. She can do it all, and I HIGHLY recommend you use her! She causes no stress at all.

e bridal party bouquets were all stunning and were reasonably priced. We made arrangements for multiple rental items, extra areas to be decorated and for transportation of the floral arrangements from the church to the reception and all was done exactly as we requested. Bonnie is a talented, hard-working lady and I highly recommend her and Stems for your floral needs!
Bonnie is so awesome! I came in with an idea and with her expertise she created a true masterpiece! We absolutely loved our flowers and they lasted through our honeymoon!

e moment I met her that she was an accomplished florist and that we would be well taken care of! She made everything from selecting our flowers to organizing and coordinating day of services so simple. Our flowers were beautiful and everything I could have wanted!
Bonnie at Stems is simply the best. I took a few pictures to her as well as a budget. She was needed very little guidance. She went above and beyond on our big day!
Margie took the thoughts right out of my head and made them in to beautiful arrangements. She took my idea of white and green with "pop of color" and found flowers I had never hear...
d and was good at telling me what would and wouldnt' work. The most TOUCHING moment was when she suggested putting freesia in my wedding bouquet so whenever I smelled them again it would remind me of the most wonderful day of my life. (She thought roses were too common).
First and foremost- Bonnie is TRULY a pleasure to work with. As soon as I met her, I trusted her to make my wedding day beautiful. She understood my vision, and went above and beyo...
nd to do all that she could to create it. She searched the inventories of rental companies to find specific types of vases that I had in mind. When we had to switch from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor ceremony 3 days before the wedding, she jumped to action to bring a little of the outdoors to the indoors and TOTALLY surprised me with extra things she had up her sleeve. Bonnie is MORE than a florist.
Bonnie has worked with pretty much all the vendors and venues in Lexington, so she knows them and their employees already. She has great business relationships in the wedding industry. Many times, she would reach out to my coordinator at my venue without using me as a middle man because she knew I had so much going on.
Her flowers and arrangements were just so breathtaking- and got many comments from our guests!
I really cannot say enough about Bonnie and her staff. If you are getting married in Lexington, there is really no one else you should go to!!
I had always heard wonderful things about Stems, so when I chose them I had no doubt in my mind that I would get something amazing. While the flowers were all fresh and beautiful I...
did not get the color that I had asked for. I told the woman a coral color....more pink than coral and she assured me she knew exactly what I meant. I showed her examples of pictures so that she would have the color I had in mind. I also requested peonies, while she told me they would be hard to get because I was getting married in July and that they would be expensive she would do her best. Well I ended up with garden roses, which were pretty but I was a tad disappointed but they were still pretty. My bouquet itself was gorgeous, a little small than I had expected but still pretty. My bridesmaid flowers were freaking orange...ORANGE! I hate orange, my wedding colors were navy, dark gray, and a pink coral color. So yup I had bridesmaid bouquets, large flower arrangements, and table center pieces that were my least favorite color. Regardless the wedding were still beautiful and people didn't notice they were orange.
The flowers themselves were beautiful but I was just really upset that they were orange. I wish that I had been able to see the flowers before 2:30 the day of my wedding so that they would have been right. I would just suggest meeting a few days before so that you are both on the right page when it comes to color and type of arrangement.
I met with Bonnie after meeting with a few other florists in Lexington and let me say she was fantastic! I needed some guidance in going through the list of what flowers we would n...
eed and she did it all - from the flowers for the doors of the church to our flowers for Mary and a remembrance candle. She also arranged surprise flowers for our mothers! When planning the reception she thought of ways to save money by reusing flowers from the church and by transitioning flowers from the cocktail hour to the reception. Although she can sometime be hard to reach in the afternoons, keep calling and schedule an appointment, she is definitely worth it! She also helped my mother-in-law get flowers for the rehearsal dinner and was very easy to work with. Highly recommend!
Margie was in charge of my flowers and dealt directly with my grandmother and I. She did an excellent job of listening to my grandmother and her extravagant taste and then taking i...

Bonnie and crew are amazing. I first hired a florist who went a little crazy, and with the guidance of my wedding planner, decided to eat the 400$ deposit and use Bonnie at Stems....
I cannot even describe what a great choice that was. Bonnie totally understood my vision. Our flowers were amazing. Everything was perfect.

at a florist duties entail. My wedding would not have been such a major sucess without them. I cannot possibly thank them enough for creating my dream wedding.
Our flowers were absolutely stunning! Simple and understated, just as we had asked. Would definitely recommend Bonnie to anyone.
Being a first time bride I obviously wanted to get everything right...because this was my only chance to get it right. I thought I knew what I needed, and wanted, with my flowers ...
but Bonnie put me to shame. I am so glad I had her, otherwise we would not have ended up with the splendid flowers that we did. She is amazing, simply put. Although she is mostly a wholesaler she will do weddings. It's also fun to walk through her warehouse...this is truly a woman who loves flowers.
we ended up just ordering bouquets for the bridal party and myself, and the grooms bouteneer, and a throw bouquet. the flowers smelled fresh and great.
