This is a highly recommended venue for any special event or occasion.

wedding was a team effort! I want to thank all of these people for working so hard to make our dream wedding become a reality. Allison was amazing, she responded to all of our emails, our millions of questions, even sometimes in the middle of the night. She even informed us of a promotion to help us save and obtain a complimentary Sundae Scoop station. The food @ Sterling Ballroom was fantastic. We had an elaborate cocktail hour which our guests are still talking about. One of our guests said she “ate her weight” in spanakopita, and multiple guests were commented on both the quantity and quality of the food. Our entrees were delicious(NY strip steak and ginger Salmon), and our guests seemed to enjoy their entrees (above options plus boursin cheese roasted chicken breast). The Sundae Scoop featured an ice cream bar complete with all the sundae toppings and Belgian waffles!! The cake provided through the venue from Chocolate Carousel, was moist and delicious in addition to being stunningly beautiful. We also chose to splurge on the perk-up station which came with coffee, espresso, fun dipping options, and featured a variety of liquors to pair! We only considered venues attached to a hotel. Sterling Ballroom is located at the DoubleTree by Hilton Tinton Falls/Eatontown, NJ. We wanted to make sure that our guests had an option to book at the venue so that they could retire to their room whenever they felt the need. In our immediate party we utilized standard rooms, junior suites, the bridal suite (only during day time of the wedding day) and the presidential suite. All of the rooms were newly renovated and attractive. Not only did they look good, but the rooms were well adorned with ample power supplies including usb charging ports. The Presidential suite was a huge selling point. This was an elaborate suite and could sleep up to 6 guests in the room and even had a fireplace! The night before the wedding, my bride-tribe had a sleepover in this suite to make sure we were ready bright and early for our early morning makeovers! At 6:30am, the bridal suite/lounge was ready for us to do our hair and make-up and looked absolutely spectacular. I am a major fan of elaborate chandeliers and the bridal lounge had one! The bridal lounge had 4 salon chairs, several refrigerators for storing food, and also a wine refrigerator. The venue even provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne! One of our girls organized a brunch in the suite, catered by Joe’s Bagels, and there was plenty of space for the whole spread in addition to all of our gear getting ready for the big day! While my ladies were getting ready in the bridal lounge, the groom's squad were getting ready in the Presidential Suite! This was huge because I wanted to make sure that the men had a place to get ready and take good pictures lol! I am a sucker for pretty chandeliers and the Sterling Ballroom had gorgeous chandeliers not only in the main ballroom, but also the event foyer and the cocktail space! The entire team did a wonderful job decorating the entrance area and ballroom. I would recommend this place not just for the beautiful esthetics, but also for the fantastic team that was an honor to work with on our special day!

Absolutely great responsiveness and communication from the catering sales dept! Nemo, our Maitre D, was GREAT!!! He made sure every detail was taken care of, made sure my husband and I were okay throughout the entire cocktail hour and reception. He handled everything and even made sure all of our personal decor was packed up and set for us to take home. The entire Doubletree staff from the front desk staff to house keeping were awesome! We spent a week there away from home and felt just at home. We were greeted by the front desk and Allison and Jordana whenever we saw them throughout our stay. Definitely a team who operates in excellence! If I had to do it all over again I’d choose them, AGAIN!

He ensured everything ran smoothly and is probably the most gentle and compassionate person I’ve ever met! Such a kind soul. The food was amazing, and everyone was raving about it! Sterling Ballroom served as a one stop shop for us - the hotel, getting ready (bridal suite + presidential suite *which by the way is humongous and gorgeous and where we slept Friday and Friday night*), ceremony (both outdoor and indoor options, which btw our outdoor ceremony got rained out 30 min before ceremony and they made a game time decision to frantically set up the indoor ceremony space for us so beautifully and it was perfect!) cocktail hour, reception and after party in the collar lounge plus breakfast the next morning. All our guests loved the venue so much and found it to be super convenient that everyone was in one place. They recently renovated the hotel and it is gorgeous and whimsical. From the hotel to catering staff, everyone was so helpful and easy to work with start to finish. I highly highly recommend Sterling Ballroom!!

And she absolutely delivered! We met with Allison numerous times throughout our 10 months together working and thinking through the details of the wedding. She was helpful, organized, responsible and just a joy to work with! Our wedding was spectacular - our guests had the best time and the food was delicious! The high tide and the carving stations were HUGE hits; all of us are foodies and everyone was just in awe by the caliber of the food quality! The entire staff was attentive, friendly, fun and really took care of everyone. Sindy who helped Allison with some of the coordination was remarkable and so helpful. She was such a lovely person to work with and made sure my mom was taken care of, and that is so appreciated in the midst of a hectic day! Our maître d' Nemo was so wonderful and made sure everything was set up properly and packed up at the end of the night, and that we stuck to the schedule. He was by our side throughout the night and just made sure we always had everything we needed. They were just a dynamic team. They coordinated not just the wedding, but the rehearsal dinner and our post wedding breakfast. We also had a whole tea ceremony the morning of the wedding and they made sure that was in tip top shape! I also need to give Faye, Brooke, Melissa and Andrew huge shoutouts for taking care of our guests who stayed at the Doubletree. They were organized and made sure everything was stress-free! d responsive. The hotel recently underwent a major renovation and it is beautiful! The rooms are fresh, clean and comfortable. We held the after-party in the Cobalt Lounge which is a cool place to relax. We also had a delicious farewell breakfast in the Sapphire Ballroom, which is a bright and spacious room. Allison, Sindy, Jennifer and Faye all helped to make sure everything ran smoothly. Although we did not use their Sterling Ballroom, it is a gorgeous space and would be the perfect place to host an event. Our venue recommended the DoubleTree as one of their hotels of choice in the area and I recommend them too.

is beyond incredible. I wish I had to plan my wedding all over again, because it was such an awesome experience. I did not feel stressed at all. She, along with her staff accommodated every request and guided me along the way. Allison made sure that I was happy throughout the process and made me feel comfortable asking my millions of questions. She answered all emails quickly, so I never was waiting and wondering. Nemo was also incredible to work with. I am extremely easygoing and really didn't have a plan for the ceremony, nor really know how to plan for one. He gave me the best suggestions and made sure everything ran smoothly. During the night he was constantly around and checking in and making sure everything from the temperature of the room to the ligthing to the food aand services was exceeding expectations. My only hope is that someone else I know has a wedding at the Sterling Ballroom so I can attend as a guest! An extra perk was having the hotel attached to the venue where we were able to continue the party at the bar for a little then enjoy a nice breakfast in the morning! I could not have asked for a better experience and I cannot even stop thinking about our favorite day! Again, if you have the chance to work with Allison, Nemo, and The Sterling Ballroom you will not be disappointed!

the Catering Sales Director, Allison McCarthy. My cousin was married here in September 2021, to say that the organization of their wedding day was HORRIFIC! Their Maître D' was aptly named Nemo, because we spent the entire evening looking for him after everyone was introduced into the reception! Dinner was delayed OVER AN HOUR and he blamed the delay on his waitstaff and said how they weren't doing their jobs. Well, that would pretty much be because the Maitre D' was not in the room directing them as the Maitre D' is supposed to do!!!! I am in the business and had a discussion with him along with the mother of the bride. He gave us some song and dance about how he had to go get liquor from the liquor storage and that took over an hour. About 15 minutes after our discussion, he pulled the mother of the bride aside to assure her I didn't know what I was talking about, and he did a FANTASTIC job, her one son had to stop in the hallway to be sure she was ok because of the manner Nemo was talking to her. I had emailed the General Manager, Brooke Gordon and the Catering Sales Director, Allison McCarthy on Sunday, October 10, it is now November 6 and I have not heard a single word from them on how they plan on responding. My cousin had to postpone her wedding FIVE TIMES, they gave her a hard time, but they were finally able to have the wedding in September. My cousin was also told if they didn't do it then, they were going to lose all the money they put down on the wedding (their original date was 2 weeks after lockdown, so final payment had already been made). STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AND BANQUET FACILITY - THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR GUESTS - THEY JUST WANT THE TIP AND THE MONEY FOR THE BANQUET AHEAD OF TIME TO GIVE YOU CRAPPY SERVICE AND BE OBNOXIOUS! On top of the fact, the 1 bartender was wearing leggings and a pullover jacket behind the bar, with her hair sloppy all up on top of her head. The other 2 bartenders were wearing jeans and different golf shirts, not a uniform I would expect for a wedding banquet. Some of the servers did not look professional with shirts hanging out and vests unbuttoned. If it was not for their DJ (a true professional), the photographers would have missed the parent dances (Nemo sent the photographers out of the room to take a 15 minute break and then started parent dances without them - the DJ ran out in the hall to find them so they could document the occasion!) I wonder if this new review will make them respond to me or the mother of the bride for their Maitre D's behavior - although I do doubt it. Next stop, HILTON CORPORATE!!!! I wanted to give them no stars, but it wouldn't let me do that, 1 star is a GRACIOUS rating.

We asked them if we could cancel they told us we would own them 75%. We got an attorney. Our attorney sent them a letter and it’s been over a month and we have not heard back from them. If we do not hear back from them I am going to go to the newspaper and blast them all over. I want is my money back.

why we booked Sterling. You can easily tell how much effort and passion she puts into her job and her couples and always makes us feel so excited and stress-free. We had to postpone our wedding date to 2021 due to COVID-19 which was so difficult and emotional, but she helped make it such a smooth process and did not give us the runaround at all. We cannot wait to celebrate safely with our guests next year (hopefully without masks) and just want to thank Reena for all that she has done for us.

I will recommend Double Tree to everyone I know, just so I can attend more weddings there!

super easy. They will answer any question you have in a timely fashion, and they will constantly be in contact with you to go over your event. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the set up was perfect! My guests cannot stop raving about the food! I am beyond thankful that I had my wedding here, I could not of asked for a better place!

ricing for many venues. Thankfully, we visited the Sterling Ballroom and knew immediately this was our dream venue!! The food was AMAZING and you get sooooooo much for your pricing! The cocktail hour was tremendous with so many unique personalizations. My guests haven’t stopped raving about it!! The entrees were amazing — totally not your “average wedding food”. Many of my guests have told me this was one of the few weddings they thoroughly enjoyed their entree at. The venue is local to a bunch of great picture stops (we went to Monmouth University and loved it). Guests also loved the convenience of staying at the hotel after. Our wedding ended at 10:30 and we all partied in the hotel bar until about 2am. Most importantly- Reena and Sue are a DREAM to work with! I worked with Reena most often. She was extremely accommodating, professional, fun, and the best spirit to work with! I never felt stressed out when working with her. She has such a contagious positive energy that we always looked forward to when going to the hall. We even had a few issues with our contract from a previous employee that we booked with and when I brought them to Reenas attention she immediately apologized and corrected everything- didnt give me the runaround at all. On the day of the wedding, the Matri’d Nemo was so professional I literally didn’t worry about a single thing and trusted him 100%, and everything came PERFECT! This venue was absolutely above and beyond amazing!!

Reena went above and beyond for us, contacting corporate to get approval for certain things we wanted at our reception. Sue raced through the hotel five minutes before the ceremony (in a blouse she wore specifically for us, because it had details that matched our wedding theme) hunting down a pair of white flip flops for me to wear since I couldn't walk in heels anymore. These two women are rockstars and I wish we could get married over and over just to have the opportunity to work with them again! Nemo, the Maitre D, took our wedding vision and brought it to life better than we imagined. Some people may find it difficult to hand over all their items (centerpieces, signage, decorations etc) to someone else and trust they will follow instructions perfectly, but I PROMISE you cannot do better than Nemo! The team at the Sterling Ballroom made it too easy for us, and allowed us to really enjoy the last few days leading up to the big event without having to feel rushed or stressed. We happened to get married on an unexpectedly hot afternoon, and even Missy from the front desk came out with water during our family photos to make sure everyone was doing okay! THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Our guests have not stopped raving about it for nearly a month and we are begging our engaged friends to choose The Sterling Ballroom so we can fully take advantage of all the food we missed at our own wedding! Although Nemo did bring plates up to our room for us to enjoy afterwards :) You really can't do better than The Sterling Ballroom! What are you waiting for?! :) :) :)

They were always so positive and helpful with answering any and all questions we had! Nemo was wonderfully helpful from our first meeting with him as we dropped all of our decor and day-of items off, and was constantly present and asking us if we needed anything throughout the night. Our guests could not stop complimenting the venue and food. All in all we had an amazing time and literally could not have asked for anything more. They offer great packages that include bonuses such as extra appetizers served during the cocktail hour and an ice cream / sundae station for dessert. We felt the package we chose was reasonable for everything they offered, and within this package was much flexibility to personalize our event. The Doubletree definitely delivered on the day of the wedding. The tables were set beautifully, the uplighting was atmospheric, and the bar was generous. Several guests remarked that ours was the best wedding they ever attended. Thank you Doubletree At Hilton for an extraordinary experience!

Another huge selling point for us was that they only do one wedding a night, so they really put all their time and focus on making your night perfect and making you feel special. You can make your package as simple or as extravagant as you want. Our experience turned out to be completely amazing, thanks to the help of Reena, Sue, and Nemo our maitre de (to name a few). The food was fantastic, amazing service from the staff, and the rooms are beautiful and clean.

0 when they were asking for the deposit that was due. I obviously had concerns and questions that I wanted answered. Set up a call with them and was told that they couldn’t answer my “what if questions” and that as of August we didn’t have the option yet to postpone a November wedding and if we cancelled we would be held to our original contract and owe 75%. At this time, the rules in NJ were no indoor receptions, so understandably my husband and I were VERY upset. We couldn’t get any answers to our questions and were being told we couldn’t postpone yet and still owed all of our money. Not to mention, they said if it became an option to postpone that it would be $10 more a head, but that this was a deduction from what 2021 weddings were being charged. As if they were doing us a favor by “only charging $10 a head more”. On top of this, my father had a stroke in June 2020, so we had serious concerns about the safety of all of our guests but especially my dad. They still couldn’t tell us any information regarding social distancing protocols, seating arrangements or dancing. We had our lawyer contact them and we got a response 3 weeks later from their lawyer saying “they’d get back to us”. No one ever contacted us again and they kept all of the money we had put down in deposits. It’s really sad that during this extremely stressful time for brides/grooms that we weren’t given more clarity and empathy. We were very excited to have our wedding here but sadly would STRONGLY CAUTION ANYONE from signing a contract with them, especially during COVID. Very disappointing and I’d really like my money back.

we fell in love. We had heard great things from other people. The ballroom being in the Hilton had everything we were looking for our out of state guests. From blocking out rooms at the hotel was so easy and everyone did make effort to make our guest a priority. Melissa and coordinators answered emails in timely fashion. We had people say our wedding was better than their own kids. People are continuing about the food. It was hot and delicious. Could not have asked for better food! The staff made our day super stress free. Was able to drop off our welcome bags and all decorations. They set up everything the day or our reception amazing and had perfect vision. Nemo was there helping my husband and I have a great time with drink in hand. The best moment was when my husband and I got to walk into the ballroom before all the guests and see our vision a reality. Thank you so much to the entire staff. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. We wish we could relive the day over and over! Thank you everyone for our most perfect day.

She even went out and bought the groom his favorite drink of choice (monster energy drink) since he doesn’t drink alcohol. Nemo, the Maitre D, was fantastic. He made sure everything was perfect and was fully present the entire night! We honestly can’t say enough great things about The Sterling Ballroom!!

ew things, however, to be conscious of if you plan on getting married here. The first thing was that I went through three different wedding coordinators (and was only working with this venue for a little over a year). I'm not sure what happened, however, I received an email stating the first one got a new job and I would be working with the second one. I only worked with the second one for a few months, then upon emailing her asking a question, she had replied that she was no longer working at this venue as well and I was then assigned a third coordinator. While each coordinator was great, I believe this lead to some miscommunication regarding where the groomsmen were supposed to be getting ready. I was told by my first coordinator that they would have a junior suite to get ready in on the day of the wedding. We were very surprised when the groom and groomsmen showed up to get ready and all they had was a conference room for them (no bathroom, shower, mirrors, etc.), which lead to one of the groomsmen upgrading his room for a significant amount of money. Thankfully, this issue was resolved by the venue the following day, however, I believe it's important for future brides and grooms to be aware that what you pay for the wedding does not include a normal room for the groom and his groomsmen to prepare in. Nemo (the maitre d), Melissa, and Reena (two of the coordinators) were amazing and so helpful throughout planning and the day of!

The service was FLAWLESS, My Husband and I felt catered to the whole night and our guest, again, was saying the service they were given was amazing as well. I could not have been any happier. Literally they said no wedding goes perfect as planned, AND MY WEDDING WAS PERFECT as planned! NOT ONE MISTAKE OR SLIP UP. I worked with Reena so closely and she was AMAZING, through the work she has done, I felt like she truly loves her job and genuinely cares about the couples happiness and satisfaction. She was SO responsive through e-mail and honestly, made this whole process so much easier than I thought possible. My Maitre-D, Nemo, was super efficient as well! If you hire this venue, I PROMISE you will not be disappointed.
