it came down to picking and choosing the details. Katie, our day-off coordinator was superb, she was our calming presence when we were getting overwhelmed on our special day. She took care of everything from where to keep our phones down to our rings! She was our fairy god mother for the night. Everybody did such a great job. The food was delicious, our banquet captian Scout was so sweet she made sure we were well fed the whole night , our dj Brian can read the room and just know how to switch gears to pick up the mood. Our bartender made all our signature drinks perfect (and we had 4!) We really appreciate everything the team did for our special day to be truly remarkable. Hands down will definitely recommend Wedgewood Sterling Hotel.

our wedding. The Venue is gorgeous, if you are into having a historical Victorian venue, this will wow your guests! It is perfect for intimate/smaller weddings. We had about 60 people and it fit everyone perfectly. Our wedding ceremony was outside and it was perfect with all the shade of the trees, it kept our guests comfortable and happy. The wedding arch was beautiful and newly renovated spaces made it so worth having our wedding here. The cellar for cocktail hour was perfect for people to hangout and get drinks before the reception and had a lot of picture worthy spaces for your guests to show-off the venue/your wedding. The ballroom where the reception is held was spectacular with double height ceilings and gorgeous mirrored arches that make the space GRAND! I loved the entire Wedgewood team and working with them was easy as they made our vision come to life, also with it being inclusive, it made the planning process so smooth and easy. We could not have done this without Wedgewood Weddings! The food was really good, I highly recommend doing a buffet style as it will give your guests a chance to pick out whatever they want to eat. The cake vendor was amazing too, Castle Cake bakery was easy to work with and our cake was super moist and beautiful! They really are the complete package and if you have a chance you should really check out their wedding extravaganza or book an appointment with a Wedgewood Coordinator as they go into more detail with the wedding services. Overall we are very satisfied with our Wedding and would definitely recommend it to everyone!

make it so easy by providing an all inclusive package so you don't have to go out of your way to find and coordinate with several different vendors and you know how much to budget for from the start. They provided us with our officiant, DJ, bartenders, dinner/hors d'oeuvres, the day of coordinator, florist for the bouquets/centerpieces, table linens, napkins, plates, chargers, cutlery, a Photo Booth, a grand sparkler entrance, and much more. They also offer photographers, the cake or an ice cream bar, late night snacks, florals for the ceremony aisle chairs, and probably a lot more I am not remembering. It's not only perfect that you can choose what you what you want to include or not in your package, but their staff and the vendors are well experienced. The venue itself at Sterling Hotel is beyond gorgeous! You will not regret booking your wedding here. Whether your wedding ceremony is indoor or outdoor it is breathtaking. The ballroom is also a wonderful ambiance for the reception. And an absolute bonus that the food is delicious! I will admit the only downside to their food was we were not a fan of the cake that we sampled months prior, so we opted for an outside baker. You will also have to get some of the decor items on your own, such as, signage, aisle runner, an arch, menus, name placards, etc. but depending on the package you pick you may get a credit to purchase some of these items from their accessories website. All and all, I highly recommend this venue if you are getting married! It's an investment if you go with the Elite package, but it is so worth it.

out of the country, and the team at the Sterling helped us organize such a beautiful wedding at this Sacramento classic from afar. It took so much of the guess work out of wedding planning— we truly just selected our preferences and the team took care of all of the finer details. They organized the ceremony, florals, food, music, atmosphere, everything! We truly felt like we just showed up and enjoyed our sentimental ceremony and a great party. The cost to services received was excellent, and our guests raved about their experience too. I would recommend the Sterling to anyone planning a wedding in Sacramento.

is a cancer survivor and my mother is diabetic so the safety and health of them and all my guests is extremely important. They gave me the option of postponing my Saturday wedding to the next year but it had to be rescheduled to a Monday-Thursday. I didn’t pay or plan for a Monday-Thursday wedding, I paid for and planned for a Saturday wedding. So I declined, they did absolutely nothing for me, I didn’t even have my first planning session and they kept my entire 7000 dollar deposit. I will never give them work with this company again, extremely greedy and money hungry, really upsetting I’m out 7000 because it would be nice to have that money during a pandemic where I lost my job.

We got married here Oct 13, 2019 and I can’t imagine our day getting any better. Everyone told us to be prepared for something to go wrong, but nothing did. I credit this towards the amazing staff members. Hannah was our day-of coordinator and Lauren and Kali also helped us as well. Everyone was thoughtful and always willing to help. Importantly, no one was pushy or rushed us to make any decisions. Communication with the staff was easy and their coordination with the vendors (Wild Flowers, DJ Preston, Karen’s Bakery) felt seamless and required very little to no effort on our part—a huge relief, especially in the busy days leading up to the ceremony! The food was excellent, we got a lot of compliments. (My aunt gave the salmon rave reviews, and she has an extremely high bar for what constitutes quality food.) The venue itself is beautiful and tidy. We enjoyed all of their vendors too! DJ Preston is da bomb diggity. He definitely knows how to keep the dance floor going, fading out songs if he noticed that the group wasn’t feeling it. Wild Flowers DG was great to work with too. The flowers were fresh and gorgeous, and they were so easy to work with. Our cake from Karen’s was delicious—our only regret was that we didn’t eat more of it.

we had about 80 people. The outdoor patio for the ceremony was a dream. The bridal suite upstairs was perfect for myself, 4 bridesmaids, my mom, and makeup/ hair stylist. The staff and coordinators were angels and made my day stress free (which is really saying something for a wedding day!). An important note is I planned my entire wedding from out of state, from Georgia to be exact. Basically I had faith this would be THE venue, and trusted my gut. And I was RIGHT. This place was everything we wanted and more. It is amazing for pictures, both indoor and outdoor (although most of ours were outdoor). Lastly, weddings are expensive! But overall this venue was affordable and doable for a young(ish) couple. They offer many packages that can suit your needs, and will remove and add anything you need or want. I highly recommend the sterling for any couple looking for a vintage vibe. And I highly recommend Wedgewood for any couple wanting an easy/stressfree day!

We ended up using all of our own vendors aside from food (obviously) and the DJ, but there were no upcharges or any hidden fees for doing that. Kali ended up being our day of coordinator, but throughout the planning process I worked with Kelsey and Hannah as well, and everyone was so patient and eager to help us plan our perfect day. My husband and I cannot say enough about the Wedgewood staff. Kali, though, was AMAZING for our rehearsal and the day of. I honestly almost cried thanking her the morning after the wedding when I caught her as we were leaving the hotel. She was everywhere we needed her to be, often when I didn't even realize it, and I honestly wish I could re-live it all over again. Everyone told us that *something* would end up going wrong the day of, and to just roll with the punches.. but honesty, NOTHING WENT WRONG. Everything was planned and timed out perfectly, and we had the time of our lives. We had some last minute changes to our guest list, some members of our wedding party ended up being a little rowdy, a glass got accidentally dropped on the dance floor near the end of the night-all of which I'm sure they've dealt with before-but everyone was just so nice and willing to take care of it all. We also had some very special toasting glasses that we wanted to be wrapped up and stowed away immediately after dinner to make sure that they were kept safe, and I literally never noticed that happen, but sure enough, by the time the dancing commenced the glasses were cleared from our table, and we checked at the end of the night and they were clean and in perfect condition. Also, we were told over and over again that the food was some of the best our guests have had at a wedding (we chose the buffet option) AND everyone said it was one of the best weddings they'd been to in a while, as well! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BOOK THIS VENUE FOR YOUR WEDDING. It is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, and as stressful as the wedding planning process is, I would do it all over again because it was perfect. *Also, as a side note, the venue itself is handicap accessible, but the bridal suite is not. My mother is disabled, so we ended up using the Huntington Suite at the hotel to get ready in, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this as well. The room is MASSIVE and beautifully decorated, and the bed was super comfy. I stayed there solo the night before the wedding, and my husband and I shared it on our wedding night. We can't wait to stay here again for our first anniversary!*

We felt so cared for and super, super stress free throughout everything. They listened to all of my crazy, random-timed requests brought to me by other family members; they were kind, friendly, professional, and so understanding! Everything we worried about, they took care of or helped us take care of. Our day went off a hitch because of the entire team! I also want to give a shout out to the banquet captain, Morgan! When the dancing started for the night, I slipped on my dress and she immediately came over and helped my girls bustle my dress. She brought me ice, offered me ibuprofen, kept my food and drink full! She even helped handle my drunk cousin & her boyfriend with such grace that I was just in awe! I actually wound up breaking my wrist that night, not knowing! I had such an awesome time and the atmosphere was so perfect, I didn't even realize until the next morning! Whoops! Even so, I encourage everyone I can to have their wedding at the Sterling. The location is beautiful, but the team makes it, really. Thank you!!

ry free. The Sterling hotel was magnificent. The character and beauty of this building is beyond words. The staff there is truly one of a kind. Kali was amazing, she made the whole experience from beginning to end an simple one. Honestly wouldn't of wanted to work with anyone else. I enjoyed my experience with this company so much, that I am now planning a second wedding with them at their Carmel venue, for my daughter. I wish I would've found this company 13 years ago when I got married.

will not find a better level of service, competence, and care from any other group. Since we spent three months searching for the perfect venue, allow us to save you the time: it’s right here. Although we held the wedding in Sacramento due to the proximity for our families, we actually live 1,000 miles away in Montana. We met Kali and immediately knew we had found something special. We also worked with Kelsey and Hannah, two outstanding women who know more about weddings than we could ever imagine. We arranged a meeting to tour the venue, and within 24 hours we had reserved our date for the wedding: July 13, 2018. Kelsey and Kali's level of experience shows in their ability to anticipate problems before they arise. Throughout the process, we never felt pressured to make any major decisions by a certain timeline, yet we felt completely informed throughout the year leading up to our wedding date. As we drew closer, our friends and family began walking around us on eggshells, expecting us to be stressed or explode about a tiny detail that went wrong…but they didn’t need to. Kali and the Wedgewood staff ensured that everything fell perfectly into place. The vendors that Wedgewood works with are second to none. The level of quality they insist on presenting will reassure you throughout your entire wedding process. On the week of the wedding, we made quite a few last second changes to our day, and Kali handled them without missing a beat. After the rehearsal, Kali and Hannah emphasized something that made us realize just why we chose this venue. They turned to our friends and family and said “On the day of the wedding, if you have a question or a concern, do not go to Paul or Kelsey. Come to us.” As good as the intentions of friends and family can be, we all know just how stressful last minute requests or questions can be on the morning of a wedding. We never had to deal with those, because Kali and Hannah made it clear at the rehearsal that it was their job. The wedding day was more perfect than we could have imagined. Kelsey and Hannah met the bride and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite, and catered to their needs throughout the day. The lead waitress was Morgan, who introduced herself to both of us and served the best wedding meal we have ever eaten (yes, we might be biased, but even our guests agreed with this). The level of service throughout the wedding blew us away. We felt as though the employees of Wedgewood cared for us like we were their friends or family. There are no words to describe the feeling you get when you realize you don’t need to worry about anything, and can just dance the night away with your favorite people in the world. Kali, Kelsey, Hannah, Morgan, and the entire staff made that happen. Morgan boxed up a great dinner for us to eat back at the hotel, since they anticipated that we wouldn’t be able to eat our own wedding dinner. That is just one example of the level of preparedness that this company shows for weddings, as they solved problems before they could arise.
