The dance floor was packed all night, and the photo booth was a big hit. I adore the album they made for us from the photo booth photos. Highly recommend doing the combo package. This team was fun and flawless, you can tell Steve was born for this!

There was one mishap with an aisle song however it did not ruin our day and they did an amazing job, however, if it may yours I would note that. They did an amazing job and we are incredibly thankful!

suggestions for how things should go. On the day of, the sound system was excellent. He did a great job keeping things flowing smoothly. The music was awesome. We also got the uplighting he offers, and this was a great addition to our dance floor. Additionally, his prices seemed very reasonable - it is definitely worth the money to hire his services. a little extra to have the company's owner be our DJ but it was worth every penny! We had a morning-lunchtime wedding and didn't want a party-all-night vibe. Steve was very professional and chose the perfect dinner and dancing songs based off of a list of recommended/most wanted songs that we sent in. He checked in with us before the reception to confirm different plans before starting the dinner and music, which we appreciated immensely. We also hadn't been able to meet him in person - only over FaceTime (due to my work schedule working in a hospital XO) so it gave us a minute to actually meet in person and shake hands. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Steve Moody!

one of our best friends wedding and my fiance (now husband) had only one request while planning our wedding... Book Steve Moody. After the amazing time we had at her wedding, I was on the same page. Steve and his team make the whole process easy. As 2 people who are very passionate about music, this was important to us. He was incredibly helpful with his portal and easy planning form, attentive throughout the whole process, and responsive. We even had some last minute changes -- no problem with Steve Moody! He was quick to pivot with us and made us feel calm and excited throughout the process. During the ceremony, he made sure our officiant (my brother who had never officiated a day in his life) was comfortable and set up properly and played the music in perfect time. During the reception, he did an amazing job at keeping things on pace and making sure we were comfortable during our special dances. He also did amazing introductions. The whole dance floor was popping all night long. We got so many compliments afterwards on the music selections from a wide range of ages. We also did the photobooth and WOW people had so much fun with the amazing props. They even were thoughtful enough to save a copy of each photobooth picture for us, the couple, so we could see all the fun people had. Overall, Steve provided a 5 star experience all around. We couldn't recommend him and his team enough if you are looking for an incredible wedding.

We've been to weddings where the microphone goes in & out and it's hard to hear, so we were very pleased and relieved by the flawless ceremony sound. Matt Spence was our reception DJ, and he did a phenomenal job with announcements, wedding party entrances, and keeping our guests on the dance floor all night long. It was a pleasure to work with Matt, Steve, and Lori, and we would highly recommend SMEC!

His rates were very reasonable and him & his team were overly communicative throughout the process. Whenever I had a question or change to wedding plans, I heard back within a day or two. Beyond that, they were on top of all deadlines and sharing wedding tips along the way! I loved that we had a detailed form to full out to ensure the day was tailored to us, with all of our likes, dislikes, requests accounted for. The day of, Steve was on-time, worked well with my other vendors, communicated with me appropriately (i.e. when guests were requesting songs we mentioned not wanting), had fun connecting with my guests, made all the right announcements throughout the evening, and kept the party going! We had people on the dance floor all night long, which is exactly what we wanted. Some DJs can be awkward, but I never felt that with Steve! He told us to “just think of him as another friend we’re hanging out with” and I couldn’t agree with that statement more. Steve, thank you for being part of our celebration and making sure we & our guests had a great night!!! I highly recommend Steve and his team for your weddings or other DJ needs!

ment to timely communication is beyond compare; during the consultation stage, he even contacted us from a hospital waiting room (we insisted he take care of his family and contact us later!!) and his team sends emails at regular intervals to make sure you don't miss a thing. He also guarantees a custom fit -- he makes sure the event is a ton of fun (whatever that looks like to YOU). In our experience as wedding guests, other DJs seem to have the final say in which classics get played. We provided a detailed list of songs across all genres and would have been happy to hear a handful... instead, Steve took the time to download ALL of the songs, listen to them, and figured out when they should be played throughout the night for optimal dancing. He played all of my hyper-specific requests (songs one bridesmaid and I danced to in our rooms at age 8, obscure summer camp hits) and blended genres with ease. Our guests LOVED him. One of them booked him for another event before our wedding had even wrapped. Afterward, Steve told my mother that he had never been to a wedding where the dance floor was literally never empty; I told her I didn't believe that because Steve is a masterful DJ and MC and all around fantastic person. Hiring Steve will be one of the best vendor choices you make!

I never had to ask him to do anything; he was very perceptive and anticipated any potential issues and addressed them before they even happened. For example, my MOH noticed that not many people had signed our guestbook, so she and a few bridesmaids moved the guestbook to a different area that was more visible. I asked one of them to ask Steve if he could make an announcement to the guests, but before the question even left my mouth, he was already announcing to the guests that anyone who hadn’t signed the book yet could go over to do it. It might seem like a minor thing, but that level of dedication to his profession is SO appreciated after two years of planning and searching for vendors. We also booked a photobooth from Steve, and it was amazing! Our guests had a lot of fun with it. Their photo printer had accidentally broken on the day of, and they upgraded us to the next package and sent us a printed photo book, even though they definitely didn’t have to! What more is there to say? I can’t recommend Steve Moody enough. If you are looking for a DJ, just stop and book them now! It will be one of the best decisions you’ll make in your wedding/event planning.

The day of our wedding we were surprised to have Steve himself join alongside his other DJ, Tristan. as exactly to my liking. I was very picky about what happened at what particular moment in a song and Steve pulled this off PERFECTLY! He even told me that my wedding was one of the most intricate ones he had ever done :) He was knowledgeable about how to best capture audio for my video given the winds that day, and the music was able to be heard perfectly and every cue was on point (my officiant almost forgot our sand ceremony but Steve rolled with it perfectly!). I even asked him to corral the audience some so that everyone in the party could enter and exit and this was also perfect. In addition to the perfection at my ceremony, my reception was just as amazing. He lined us up and went through and had everyone's names pronounced correctly and even read a little sentence about how we knew each person! I have seen some bad wedding DJs that do not get the audience excited so when I was DJ shopping I mentioned this to Steve and he took it to heart because EVERYONE was standing and cheering when we entered the reception! It was amazing and I could not have asked for better. He also was very personable and made everyone laugh during the reception! We got some many compliments on how funny and lively he was! I also was worried about having to coordinate things myself all night but Steve and his assistant did so much I plum forgot to be stressed and just relaxed and had a great time! Even out exit he made sure everyone was outside for at the very end! Oh, and of course the thing everyone wants to hear when they are looking for a DJ-our dance floor was PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG! I have been to so many weddings where people get up for one song that is good and then they are done and go sit down. Not my wedding. Steve had EVERYONE dancing up until the end of the night! Everyone was so full of energy all night which I credit to Steve getting them excited and getting their spirits up (alcohol helps too). I cannot say enough about how amazing my wedding was because of Steve and I will shout his praises from the rooftops! You will NOT make a mistake hiring Steve FOR SURE!

You may not realize it, but the soundtrack to your wedding is something you need to think about and make decisions on, because it really does set the mood and theme, as much as your decorations do. A week before the wedding our DJ Matt Spence called us and went through each moment and song choice and made sure he knew what we wanted. We had some different preferences to the typical flow of events and Matt was totally on board. He even called us back to clarify some things and made sure the right parts of songs were played at the right moments. Our dance floor was full the entire night. It’s also not just about song choice, the DJ moves the evening along and keeps you on your timeline. I am so so glad I chose Steve Moody! Steve and Matt made me feel 100% confident through the whole process. Our wedding was a huge success.

had some unique, bizarre requests. Songs that meant a lot to us as a couple but are not your usual wedding songs. I was so worried that these songs wouldn't be played in favor of more top40. But instead he played EVERYTHING we asked for. and on top of that used our requests to select other songs to play that transitioned perfectly. Everyone was on the dance floor having an amazing time all night long and I credit that to Steve. It was an absolute joy hearing the songs we wanted mixed with awesome songs we hadn't even thought of. On a side note we went to a wedding that had another DJ from the Steve Moody Company, and prior to my own wedding ( I am bias), that wedding had the best dancing and music selection I've ever experience. Convinced us to use the company. So clearly not a fluke. Anyone who uses this company will be incredible please and not disappointed at all.

a DJ/MC is so much more than that! The real questions you should be asking are: Are they good problem solvers? Will they take my stress and worries into consideration? Are they unique? Those features, among many others, are exactly what Steve Moody has. To say Steve exceeded my expectations is an understatement! You have probably heard it before, but every wedding will have things that go wrong. I knew this would happen at mine last weekend, I just didn't know what they would be. Well, I know what they are now but because of Steve, NOONE else does (except for the internet now-ha). I am ashamed to admit that I made a mistake when signing my DJ contract. Somehow I left off ceremony service. Weeks prior to the wedding, Steve had me fill out a very detailed breakdown of schedule, song requests, announcements etc. He called for a follow up conversation to lock in the details. Toward the end of the conversation, he casually/politely mentioned that he didn't know they were doing the ceremony music but he worked it all out. I know what "worked out" entailed... rearranging schedules, additional equipment, longer commute, and more logistics. His calm demeanor, understanding, and flexibility were so outstanding to me. Weeks before the wedding, this was just the service I needed. Right before my father-daughter dance, my dad went missing (at the bar). Steve really impressed me as he ad-libbed his way through what could have been an awkward/silent wait. He made the moment more special as he told the audience the background of this song and the meaning to us. The introduction was PERFECT and Steve completely did this by the seat of his pants. I don't think you can fully grasp how long it takes to greet all your guests. You hear it over and over but when you actually experience it, you loose a lot of time that you may have planned for dancing/photobooth/eating. Steve and his team did a flawless job of working with the onsite planners to keep us informed of the time but not rush this important part of a wedding. He worked hard behind the scenes to make sure our schedule worked with this delay, all while keeping us happy. Not to mention, the lights, music, and mood were perfect all night!! Hands down BEST DJ around. Thank you Steve and team!!!

We are pretty laid back as a couple and don't like to be the center of attention, and they all rolled with it! They were so nice and accommodating to every request we had. There was a minor hiccup with our first dance, but it was really not a big deal at all and Jim was so apologetic and nice about it. We couldn't have asked for a better night--Jim was great with the music selection and getting the party started. He kept people on the dance floor for the entire night! It was perfect! We are so thankful for such an easy process and fun night!

Steve, and then Jim reached out to us to get an idea of what kind of music we wanted. We were flaky and indecisive and gave him very little direction, and he still did a great job! The music he played was perfect, and he provided mics for everything seamlessly. Our guests were dancing all night and having a great time requesting songs. (I did hear later that he turned down a request from a guest because I had asked for no country music, which he took very seriously! ) I highly recommend Jim Baker to anyone looking for a DJ who will take the time to listen to your preferences and follow your requests exactly. I would also recommend him to anyone who is as clueless as I was about what kinds of music to play at a wedding, because he will have it covered!

Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night! One of the things that stood out to me the most was how well he listened to the ideas that we had. I had made a comment that I really wanted him to shorten the song for our first dance by having him cut out the second verse, and he had asked me to email him with specific instructions for where to cut the song. Leading up to the wedding, I let myself get overwhelmed by the many other things that I still needed to do, and I forgot to email him. I didn’t remember until the morning of the wedding, by which point I assumed that it was too late and resigned myself to having him play the full song. But to my complete surprise, he came and personally greeted us outside when we arrived at the reception venue, and told me that he had edited the song as I had requested and that he had both the shortened version and the full version ready to play, I just needed to tell him which one I wanted him to use! The shortened version was EXACTLY how I had described that I wanted it! I was a very happy bride! Between Steve and his assistant DJ, they kept the atmosphere so fun and really exceeded our expectations!!

and to tell us that he wanted to make sure our night went as smooth as possible. He made us feel we could ask him anything to make our night just right. As an MC, he was friendly, open, and super pleasant. He approached us at a couple moments throughout the night to give us a heads up before announcing certain moments to make sure we were ready. I had initially reached out to Steve Moody because my friend had him as a DJ at their wedding years ago, and I'm glad I used him as well, absolutely no complaints!!

Jim did a great job helping me pick and was very patient and kind even though I was changing my mind and asking for his advice.
