absolutely no idea what I wanted for my wedding. She sat with me for over an hour sending me pictures of flowers and wedding venue photos to pick my brain and figure out what I liked. At my initial in-person consultation, she picked tons of flowers to show me to continue to get an idea of what I wanted... all I told her was that I hated greenery. Along the way, she continuously was able to take the little guidance and indecisiveness I gave her and almost read my mind to create the most beautiful ceremony and reception that I could have ever imaged. She went over the top, working with my other vendors and even attending my final walkthrough to make sure everything was perfect from lighting to table placements and everything in between. Mary not only took the initiative to get to know me and my likes and dislikes but she took away so much of the stress of planning and made my dreams come true. If I could have taken all of our flowers home and made them last forever, I would have. I would highly recommend Mary and Steve and their team. You should not even look elsewhere.

The welcome party, cocktail party and wedding day table arrangements were MAGNIFICENT. EVERY SINGLE thing. The after party and lounge lighting also was amazing, it was a total VIBE in there!!! Mary is an absolute joy to work with, I loved her guidance and she gave such incredible advice and input. She was patient and helped us so tremendously to bring our vision to life.

Despite the entirely different time of year, Steve’s still provided us with all the original flowers we had planned for even though some were wildly out of season. We got married in our venue, and didn’t want to have a more traditional arch or alter set up. Mary & Steve’s created the most stunning backdrop against a brick wall, by having smilax climb up the wall almost like ivy. Mary also helped us with all of our table design, and they were absolutely perfect - not too crowded, but still beautifully decorated. I don’t think I’ll ever get over just how beautiful our venue looked because of Steve’s. I cannot recommend working with them enough!

because my bridal bouquet was missing some of the flowers I had requested. While it was a beautiful arrangement (rustic and loose) and kept with the color scheme I was looking for, I'm not sure if there was a miss communication between Wendy and myself but it was not like the example I had sent her. I would still use them again though.

our budget didn't go as far as I had hoped. Kaylee worked with us to find more affordable flowers that would then get us within our budget which ended up being perfect! They did one mockup arrangement a few weeks before the big day and I'm so glad they did because it was not what I wanted (granted I didn't provide much direction initially). Kaylee had no problem making revisions and then when I saw the flowers for the first time on the day of, my mind was blown. It was everything I had ever imagined and was so perfect from size to colors to flowers used. Thank you to the team for being so accommodating, responsive, and just a joy to work with! 1000% recommend!

the right choice for us as well. From my first visit to when they dropped off my flowers on our wedding day, everything was perfect and they were incredibly professional. I wasn't very specific with what I wanted for our winter wedding, but they somehow transformed my flower vision into a reality, including just the right amount of deep, colorful blooms and balancing with greenery. Having a winter wedding made me nervous about the selection, but my bouquet featured a few exotic flowers and our entire order was worth every penny. Between the table/ aisle greenery, the boutonnieres, bridesmaid bouquets and my bridal bouquet, Steve's exceeded our expectations. I even dried my wedding flowers and they're a beautiful keepsake from our wedding day!

in grad school and working full time had it challenges, but Steve’s made sure that the process from start to finish was enjoyable. From the moment I spoke with Mary, I knew that she was my flower soul sister. She understood my vision and took it to the next level. I’m a very detailed oriented person and she managed to keep up with all of my many changes and grand ideas while juggling an extremely heavy client list. She answered every email and phone call even if it was about the smallest thing. If Mary wasn’t available her team took care of me and made sure Mary was aware of any updates that happened in her absence. Her professionalism and flexibility were exceptional and she is by far one of my most favorite wedding vendors. I told her that I wanted our venue to look and feel like love, and she did just that. Our guests can’t stop talking about how blown away they were. Not only is Steve’s one of the best in Chicago, they are affordable! Flowers are an investment but it doesn’t mean that you should get ripped off. At no point did my husband and I feel like Mary or her team were forcing us to spend more money. We gave her a number upfront and she stayed within our budget. Our dreams came to life and it wouldn’t have been possible with out the amazing team at Steve’s. If you work with Mary and Steve’s you won’t regret it. They will be my florist forever!!

They do weddings are Galleria Marchetti all the time, so they knew exactly what to do. It looked PERECT, even better than I imagined. The bouquets were also fabulous, and they were delivered to me where I was getting ready. I am so lucky that I was able to work with Mary and Steve's, and I would do it again 100 times over!! We were also very last minute with our order (less than two weeks from our date) but they were still able to order everything in time and really put us at ease. Would highly recommend!

She took the time to talk through what types of flowers would look good together, the vibe that we were going for, and helped us come up with three different table center arrangements that were each slightly different. We were also looking for a small floating structure for above the sweetheart table, and Mary was able to run with that and create a beautiful focal point that looked amazing in the photos. Before the wedding, we were able to pop into the store and see samples for the table center pieces as well. Lastly, we found the pricing of Steve's to be extremely fair, especially considering the superior quality of the flowers! After the final walkthrough they even suggested removing a few items that may not be needed based on the existing décor of the venue. Many other florists would not have been honest about that knowing that it would cut back on their final contract amount. I'd recommend Steve's Flower Market to anyone who wants to make sure the flowers shine for their wedding or special event!

Well, Mary and her staff had set me and my husband at ease the moment we met them. Needless to say, when the big day came, Mary brought my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets and my heart was just heavy with joy. They were STUNNING and everything I could have ever dreamed of and so much more. Even getting to see Mary before the wedding made it that much more enjoyable. She is THE sweetest and Steve's INCREDIBLE at what he does. Once I got to the venue and see all my dreams come true from the candelabras to the gazebo.... I was living my fairy tale. Her communication and responsiveness to our last minute questions and details was amazing (such as adding a bridal hair piece to our order days before the wedding). I will never forget when Kaylee and her team dropped off our florals as we were getting ready at the hotel; they were everything I had hoped for and more. When we arrived at the venue, our expectations were also exceeded greatly by how gorgeous everything was. We HIGHLY recommend using Steve's Flower Market! We are over the moon with how perfect everything turned out!
