I wish I could write two separate reviews for this vendor...5 stars for our driver, Mark, and 2 for STL Party Bus.
Mark was polite/professional, knew the routes/area, and to top it off did not kill us when we got confused by the time change...
- our phones switched back so there was some confusion as to why he was leaving "early"...that was totally on us.
Now the company...
We requested services on 9/19 for our 10/31 date. We knew it was late but they assured us they had the slot and even our requested vehicle.
We double checked and my MIL, who had decided to get us a bus so no one was driving, submitted the deposit.
Two weeks later, it still had not been processed and the money still in her account.
She called and they said it wouldn't be an issue it just hadn't gone through yet but we were booked. Not to worry.
DAY OF OUR WEDDING the company calls my then fiance multiple times, even after he gave them my MIL's info and told them she was the one booking, AND that he was in the middle of our first look pictures so please don't call.
Finally they connected with my MIL. Turns out our reservation had never been officially booked, they just wrote it down on a note to give to the person in charge (who had been out of the office...NO ONE TOLD US THAT) and they were overbooked.
At 6:22 pm, roughly 38 minutes before our wedding I got an email stating our driver's name and cell. We ended up with this huge van instead (it could have fit half of our guest list in one go) but I guess some would see that as an upgrade so there is that. They get two stars for rectifying the situation...
But over all it was just a lot of unnecessary stress. If they had just been up front about things, like our person is out of the office can you call back at this time....etc they would've gotten 5 stars easy (things happen, we get that)...but having my husband on the phone trying to solve the problem between shots slowed things down and we missed out on some serious photo time with our bridal party :/
