ou want in a wedding planner! We planned our wedding for 17 months with Gabrielle, and of course it got stressful at times, but we always felt that Gabrielle was steering us in the right direction. She recommended high-quality vendors for us to work with, then coordinated meetings, costs, and other details with them. She was respectful of our choices, but always gave her professional opinion when we asked. Leading up to the wedding and on the day itself, she coordinated among all the vendors, and there are probably a million behind-the-scenes things she took care of that we will never know about. A few of our vendors mentioned to us that we were lucky to be working with Gabrielle, because she is best in class.  On the wedding day itself, it was fun to see Gabrielle (and her two assistants) in their element – calm, cool, and collected. She came and said hello to us in our getting ready suites, and seeing her in the morning put me at ease. We had some last minute table seating swaps, and she reminded me that morning to give her the new place cards. I would’ve completely forgotten otherwise. During the whole evening, Gabrielle anticipated our needs before we even had them, whether it be bringing a glass of water or bringing my extra pair of shoes. She always made sure to be close by so we could easily find her if we had questions or requests. At the end of the night, she and her staff delivered all the items we wanted to save, personal belongings, wedding gifts to our hotel suite. We highly recommend working with Gabrielle on your wedding! She's worth every penny!

lle to plan our wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Institute of Contemporary Art, a welcome party for our out-of-town guests on a Boston Harbor Cruise, a rehearsal dinner at Boston Public House, and a farewell brunch at The Newbury Hotel for our friends and family. The fact that we had so many events happening throughout our wedding weekend meant that there were many logistics and points of contact. Gabrielle and her team were able to keep all of these pieces organized and helped us understand the timeline for when we should make which decisions for which events. Gabrielle is not only well connected to countless vendors in the Boston area but is also extremely organized, kind, and responsive. My husband and I often joked that we couldn't believe she was planning multiple weddings at one time because we always felt like we had her undivided attention and support for 16 months straight. My husband and I both started new jobs right around the time we began planning our wedding. We were working crazy hours and our schedules were not always conducive to "typical" meeting times. Gabrielle was flexible and willing to work with us - often times scheduling zoom calls at 8pm so we could all check in on the planning. I also had some very particular personal touches that I wanted to include in our ceremony and reception. Gabrielle made sure to set realistic expectations for me but also allowed me to make the final decision that would make my partner and I happiest. Finally, we greatly appreciated Gabrielle and her team's organization and support on our wedding day. She and her assistants were friendly, helpful, and made sure that the Bridal Party and our families had everything we needed. She was able to answer questions and manage logistics so that my husband and I did not have to worry about this and were able to focus on our special day. In the end, our wedding day was absolutely perfect. After it was over, we both said we wanted to relive that same day over and over. We had a pretty traditional Jewish ceremony with several religious aspects, and she made sure to do her research so that she'd be prepared to help with each unique part of the day. Gabrielle did an outstanding job managing the “wedding project” for over 1 ½ years prior to the event and ESPECIALLY during the event. Her attention to detail and her logistical guidance were impeccable. Weddings are complicated things with a million moving parts. Staying on top of these things to ensure a flawless wedding is no small job, but Gabrielle pulled it off. We couldn’t be happier and would wholeheartedly recommend her if you are in search of a wedding planner. Her and her team were there whenever we needed them and kept the event running on time. Any small problems were immediately resolved without making excuses. Probably the most enlightening thing to us that demonstrated Gabrielle’s commitment to a well run event was at midnight when the party was over she was STILL THERE! She organized a wonderful micro wedding for us last year on short notice, working with all our vendors to adjust our contracts to a smaller event while simultaneously securing vendors for our delayed reception. She navigated all of the covid regulations and kept us up to date on everything going on. We were still able to have a small intimate ceremony and dinner with all of her help and hard work. Beyond the micro wedding, she then continued planning for our reception this year. Because of the amount of groundwork and prep she had already accomplished, we were able to pick up right where we left off and continue planning the reception we had originally intended. Even through the pandemic, everything stayed on track if not ahead of schedule thanks to her hard work. Both events went off without a hitch, everything handled by Gabrielle and her team seamlessly and professionally. Any requests we had day of were quickly taken care of. I could not recommend her enough if you're looking for a wedding planner. We look forward to seeing the events she manages in the future - they always look amazing!

e planned our 220 person wedding, paused due to the pandemic, helped plan our small intimate wedding with just family in 2020, and then helped us re-create our original large wedding celebration in 2021, and all that it brings in terms of evolving dates, evolving vendor agreements, and evolving mandates. Wedding planning is already stressful enough, but working through 2020 and 2021 added so many more challenges - and we really felt like Gabrielle was with us every step of the way to lead us through that process. She is detail-oriented, organized, and a confident executor who kept us well ahead of track through many difficult and unknown circumstances. tching the surface of what I have to say about my and my family’s wonderful experience with Gabrielle Stone and Stone Event Planning. My now husband and I got engaged in December 2016. We live in the Bay Area and knew we wanted to have our wedding celebration in Boston in late summer with about 175-200 people. My parents, who live on Boston’s North Shore and generously hosted our wedding, suggested that we start by finding a skilled local wedding planner who could help make this dream a reality. In January 2017, we interviewed a few different people by phone and found that we really clicked with Gabrielle. Before we even spoke to her, she had us fill out a questionnaire, which I thought was brilliant. It helped my fiance and I get on the same page about what mattered to us, and it signaled Gabrielle’s thoughtful approach (centered on understanding our hopes and facilitating our getting on the same page). During our first conversation, Gabrielle was prepared, curious, clear, firm, and funny. It felt like she got us - what we were/were not looking for, the constraints of our work lives, the way we want to approach this experience. She and my mom really hit it off too. We were off to the races. (I cut about five paragraphs that essentially amount to the timeline of our wedding planning since you probably don’t actually need or want that detail.) The headline is that Gabrielle helped make our dream become a reality, in part by helping us figure out what the dream actually was. She framed all the key decisions; presented us with a tailored set of options that made sense for our priorities, style, and budget; connected us with creative, professional, generally wonderful vendors; built a planning timeline that balanced what she has learned from 13+ years in the industry with our own serious scheduling constraints; and facilitated periodic conference calls to ensure we were all on the same page and progressing as needed. A note about the vendors. One of the coolest, most unexpected parts of this process was coming into contact with an amazing set of creative, talents professionals - from photographers to florists to musicians to make up artists and hair stylists and more. Gabrielle knows the industry and has built strong, enduring relationships with people across it; she helped us select great people to work with, who did an exceptional job delivering on our “vision.” It was a thrill to be part of their processes and to work collaboratively with them. And their work speaks for itself! It says a lot about Gabrielle that every single person we ended up choosing raved about her, her style, and her business. It made me realize anew that we working with a really special woman.

She maintained a detailed record of expenses against budget and she would send reminders before any deposits were due. Leading up to the happy day was lots of fun. The tasting at the Boston Public Library was a wonderful event for both sets of parents, sharing the experience with the happy couple while also listening to Gabrielle’s suggestions. All were right on. She is well organized and absolutely everything worked out as we discussed. As the mother of the bride I did not have anything to worry about on the days leading up to the big day and on the special day... except to take it all in and have fun. Our guests are still talking about the weekend in Boston...many coming from all over the country for the first time. My husband and I lived in New York when we were planning our wedding in Boston, and although we both went to school in Boston, we know nothing about the vendors or really anything on how to plan the wedding. I would go ahead and say our wedding wouldn't have been made possible if it wasn't for Gabrielle and her team. They just made everything so easy! She's always responsive (usually replies your E-mail within 2 hours!) and very organized. She and her team are well connected and experienced with the best vendors in town. We had to take trips from time to time to meet with the vendors, and our weekend trip is always well planned and time well spent. She makes excellent recommendations based on our budget and priorities, and never once was impatient because we couldn't make up our mind. Our wedding was a Harry Potter themed wedding, finding the right balance between elegant and themed is hard to do. Gabrielle really helped us to paint a clear and precise picture of how to carry out this concept with the best team put together.
