down to the river to take photos. Every sunset is beautiful on the river, but this one was especially spectacular. He gets so much joy from this. We are taking your recommendations for signage in the parking lot. We are there to always park guests, but sometimes early in the morning cars get parked in the fire lane or in the caterer and DJ spots. We will remedy that soon. Also there will be signage on the staircase so we can keep our little guests safe. I can assure you that all of our staff love their jobs and try to do their best. So we are sorry if that was not conveyed during the night. I know at times it may seem like we have an abundant amount of workers. We usually have 3 extra people that work the wedding. For most weddings Michael, Michaela and I are there, but usually at different times. I know that may seem like a lot but if something ever goes wrong like a breaker on the air conditioner, chairs or tables needing moved, or additional chairs to be brought out, a band aide needed, broken glass or a spill needing cleaned up, or someone getting sick, etc. we want to be there to have things fixed immediately. We have found 3 plus us is what works best for the wedding to run smoothly. Often times vendors need us to turn up the lights or turn them down. There are so many behind the scenes jobs that are going on, such as taking down the flag at sunset, taking trash out to keep it tidy looking, making sure the restrooms stay clean. We check both those things every 15 minutes when possible. We are always there to give rides for photos to the bride and groom. We also like to take the guests down to the waterfalls or river if they want us too. We choose our employees carefully to cover all the different jobs. We realize there are many different personalities and we have tried to pick employees that have an all around caring personality as we know that people being human are all different. Our employees want to make sure everything runs smooth and if there is ever a problem, or anyone ever needs help, or looses anything they are there to help. Many times I see them helping a guest carry something or diligently helping them find something they lost . They help at the end of the night when everyone is tired where they can. If it seemed like we were to involved, again I am so sorry. That was not our intention. It was very sad to us and we tried to help were we could with the problems you had with your planner, and the caterer being a couple hours late because they had the wrong date, and Michael, Sylvia and Brendon helping at the end because the florist also had the wrong time to come back and get her stuff. Our employees stayed and helped till midnight and then had to leave. Dave and Amos who comes in at midnight to work all night and then help the next wedding in the morning, also changed how they normally start cleaning. It was behind the scenes but they were very happy to do that. We enjoyed being with you at the end of the night, Michael trying to lift your spirits with so many things going wrong with vendors. This was everyone’s first day back after being shut down from the Coronavirus. That was obvious with all the vendors. This type of thing was new to everyone. So it was very sad that any of us at Stonebridge caused you any stress and we sincerely apologize. We really were there to see things ran smooth for you. Your wedding was very beautiful. We got so many compliments from guests loving it. We loved your guests and the two of you. As we have told you, once you have a wedding here, you are Stonebridge Family and are able to keep coming back as a couple for a picnic on the grounds or for photos. We love to see brides who come back for maternity photos. I want to again mention to you that Michael, Michaela and I did not eat any food that night. We did have mini cupcakes after 10:30 that night and saw there were many left. Michael, our staff and I did not have any alcohol. The bar tender was new and wanted to give us a card so we would recommend him. He gave the lady Michaela brought with her to greet guests when they drove in the parking lot one drink because Michaela does not drink. Bar tenders usually want to make a drink for the owners when they ask to be recommended. He gave Michaela a club soda and then came to refill it and she said,”Oh no, That is for guests. Not me.” Our 3 employees did eat after the caterer said everyone has eaten. We did not know till you told Michael that the DJ had not eaten and they ran out of food. Our employees never eat unless the caterer says everyone has eaten. Most caterers make extra food with no charge to the bride because they too want us to sample their food and recommend them. We will take your recommendation on this also and will add to the contract- please advise us ahead if you do not want the staff to eat and we will provide food for them. We again are sorry. We have done over 400 weddings in our 5 years. We strive for excellence, but realize we make mistakes and are always learning. Our venue continues to improve and change because we love what we do. We want all who enter to feel a little better about life when they leave and a lot more peaceful. That was our goal for you and your guests and if we fall short we certainly want to do all we can to rectify the situation.
