The venue was absolutely stunning!! Our day was so magical & the day of coordinators who were on site day of helped a ton as well. I was very pleased with the communication & professionalism of Stonegate as a whole.
Stonegate Glass Chapel was amazing! It felt like a true dream walking in on my wedding day. The staff was responsive and great to work with from start to finish. We chose to do one of their all-inclusive packages and it was the best decision! They made everything easy and stress-free! I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a beautiful venue but not wanting the stress of having to manage everything on their own.
10/10 recommend this venue! Everything was taken care of from day 1. Wedding planning can be so stressful but the communication with Stonegate was so clear and everything was above and beyond what we expected.
The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff was amazing in helping with the entire planning process! They were quick to answer all of my random questions and were super nice the entire time! They helped make our day the best day of our lives!
The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. I loved having the feel of an outdoor wedding without having to worry about the elements, and it was so convenient to have a separate reception hall on site. It was the perfect size for my event, as well. The all inclusive option made finding vendors easy. However, the planning process felt more difficult than it should’ve been. We wanted to make some changes/substitutions in regard to vendors and decorations to personalize our event more, and felt that our requests were a hindrance to the venue, which is not a good feeling to have about your wedding day. But in the end, they worked with us to make the day go just as I had pictured and I couldn’t be more grateful. The day-of staff was so helpful and the whole venue was beautiful.
There are few places that stand out that you remember as magical. This is Stonegate Chapel for us. Both the bride & groom's families traveled in from out of town or state, and my husband and I came from out of the country. Prior to the wedding, we had actually never visited Stonegate in person; only our daughters had.
The Glass Chapel:
Our daughter wanted an outdoor wedding, and we convinced her to consider a glass chapel surrounded by nature, but with the comfort of air conditioning for her guests. She was hesitant until she visited Stonegate in person.
The chapel sits among the trees, at the end of a beautifully landscaped, paved path. The inside was beautiful, making the most of the gorgeous surrounding forest with 360 degree windows all the way around the chapel. It was the perfect setting for a July wedding in Missouri.
SET-UP
Ally, a staff member was there when we arrived & had the reception already set-up according to our instructions. She helped with adjustments, and waited to give further assistance and to answer any questions. At the end of the night, we gathered our personal belongings and walked away; Stonegate handled the tear-down & clean up!!
BRIDAL SUITE
There is a cabin near the chapel, really convenient for the bridal party with a room each for the bride and groom's parties. The bridal suite was complete with a full-length mirrors, restroom, and vanities.
FLOWERS
The floral shop the chapel uses did a fantastic job with the bouquets; we were really pleased. The venue provided several really nice options for reception centerpieces; another priceless convenience. The chapel revealed so much natural beauty from the surrounding woods that we opted not to have flowers for the ceremony. For us, it was perfect.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We used one of the photographers recommended by the venue (included in the all-inclusive pkg): Shelby Chante's agency. The photographer was friendly, patient, professional and we are really happy with the proofs.
RECEPTION
The reception hall also had large windows around 3 sides of the space, with trees in full view. We had around 100 guests, and it was ample and comfortable space for dinner and dancing.
CATERING
The food was delicious. We were so happy that this service, in particular, was included & coordinated by the venue.
DJ
The venue's DJ was gracious, helpful when we needed professional suggestions, and incredibly tasteful.
CAKE
The cake was delicious. The cupcakes was also decorated beautifully, and were perfect for kids especially!
PRICE POINT
We priced several venues including a few other glass chapels. Stonegate's price and all they offer was difficult to beat, all expenses considered: chapel, reception, photography, flowers, catering, DJ, cake, etc.
VENUE OWNERS & STAFF
Finally, I just want to say a word about Stonegate professionalism. Our daughter communicated regularly with Shalyn, who was friendly, helpful and accommodating every single time. They always responded quickly and thoroughly.
Kayli, a Stonegate representative was present on site from beginning to end, which was amazing! The entire evening she was anticipating needs. She had a servant's heart: gracious, friendly and her help and demeanor was priceless.
I look back at this day and think, "That was the most beautiful wedding!" I can't imagine a more beautiful setting for a wedding. But the greatest gift was that Stonegate facilitates and coordinates everything with the vendors creating a seamless, dream wedding day.
I highly recommend Stonegate Glass Chapel. They helped make my fairy tale wedding a dream come true. The grounds and facility are absolutely stunning and just absolutely beautiful. The staff helps you the entire time you are planning your wedding.
Communication was a big issue. Shalyn was sometimes rude, unprofessional and blamed others for her lack of communication. Beautiful venue but their decorations are boring and fake flowers in the chapel are dusty and outdated. Food servers lacked proper training and they did not seem to want to be there - or confused about what to do? Their minister did not say what we requested. Advice - ask very detailed questions about everything and be very very clear what your want and do not want - then hope they follow through. They seemed to be in auto mode and overlooked specific request. Overall it was a success and a beautiful ceremony and reception, but the issues could have been avoided. We just felt like they saw us as just another wedding "business as usual".
The all inclusive option at Stonegate is unlike any other! The venue is beautiful and gives an outdoor feel but indoors! I loved having the stress-free option that the all-inclusive allows for - all vendors are picked out, you just have to let them know what you are looking for. Some things will be an additional cost (but still not priced outrageously). I am so happy that we chose Stonegate for our wedding. The catering was incredible - we still get comments about how delicious the food was (we chose to upgrade to brisket). The cake tasted delicious and was perfect! Our only downfall was the DJ, and that was just bad luck as he did not understand the concept we were looking for nor did he show up on time/as expected due to our conversations. All in all, we had an absolute perfect day thanks to Stonegate!
The staff and family who run Stonegate did an amazing job working with us for our wedding!! Our original wedding date was 9/5/2020 and we had to postpone because we were unable to get my husbands parents in the States. They moved us to 3/13/2021 without any hassle! We did the all-inclusive package with them which we HIGHLY recommend! It made our lives so much easier with wedding planning! Shalyn & Dodi handled all the details with the florist, cake, DJ, and caterers! Shalyn was so helpful with planning & her honest opinion is super helpful!! We had rain on our wedding day but having the ceremony & reception indoors didn’t make it seem like it was a “nasty” weather day. The chapel is absolutely gorgeous and you hardly need to add any decor to it. Our wedding vision came true at Stonegate and we would recommend them to any of our friends & family!
Stonegate Glass Chapel is an ideal place to have a destination wedding. You will not find a more beautiful building in a more gorgeous setting anywhere. It is breathtaking—a glass chapel in the middle of the woods—with stone floors and low stone walls. So unique. The backdrop for the ceremony is a vaulted wall of glass windows revealing the woods. Every side of the building is glass as well, so you really feel like you are in the middle of the woods—which of course you are. The venue is stunning. We were planning this wedding from out-of-state and they couldn’t have made it easier for us. I highly recommend the all-inclusive package they offer. It took all the stress out of arranging a wedding—and we did it with only three months from the time of booking to the wedding date! Shaylyn O’Neal is an excellent wedding planner and she walked my daughter through all the decisions she had to make in the first couple of weeks. She was always available to answer questions—and she answered my daughter’s emails with surprising promptness. The all-inclusive package they offer includes everything that makes a normal wedding stressful and a lot of work—but they do the work and you are able to concentrate on enjoying the wedding!! And at a great price!! We couldn’t have been happier. And Shaylyn did all the floral work, centerpieces, and bouquets herself. Beautiful. Top notch. They did all the table set-up and decorations for the reception, so all we had to do was walk into a beautifully decorated reception hall for the dinner after the wedding. I did not add one decoration to either the chapel or the reception hall. It was already perfect. Now about the dinner—they do their own catering, and their smoked brisket is unbelievable. Do not fail to put that on your menu! We are really happy that we went with this venue. We have nothing but good memories from that beautiful day😊
This venue was absolutely gorgeous! My wedding day went wonderfully! There were two ladies there that day from the venue that helped a lot with set up and tearing down! The venue was clean and the tables were set in order with the chargers already placed on the tables! I would recommend this venue to everyone! The bartenders were efficient and friendly! The officiant the venue provided was also great! He did a fabulous job!
Overall this was a pretty standard venue. they wanted extra money for the rehearsal dinner and then wouldnt let us book the dinner until a month prior to the event (they assured us we would get either a Thursday or Friday) this wasnt acceptable since I had many people in the party who needed to make travel arrangements.
They were mostly communicative and they did seem to do a better job when their daughter Shalyn took over in the middle of our time with them. The day of went very smoothly, no complaints.
Beautiful venue, incredible food at the reception, very professional staff. Everything went very smoothly. The staff made the entire planning process a pleasant one. They know what they are doing and how to make your Wedding the best experience ever!!! Thank you Dodi, Doug and Tiffany.
Shelly
My husband and I had a great experience with our wedding ceremony and reception at Stonegate. The venue is beautiful and makes for good pictures. We worked with some vendors that are in house or associated with Stonegate which made our wedding day flow smoothly. Communication with the venue was easy during the wedding planning process. Their monthly open house gave us opportunity to talk in person with these vendors and visualize the layout of the venue for the wedding day. You do have to be cleaned up prior to the end of your allotted time at the venue but you know this ahead of time. We loved our wedding at Stonegate!!
We absolutely loved Stonegate Glass Chapel! Dodi was phenomenal to work with and let me text her and call her with any problem. The area is stunning and the staff on hand were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this venue if you want a beautiful glass chapel tucked away in the forest.
Some an amazing venue! Gorgeous setting and the owner is amazing. She’s there for you every step of the way! Highley recommend to anyone wanting amazing photography and people there to make your day go amazing.
The venue was perfect for my wedding! I was completely set on having it there as soon as I saw pictures. It was a winter wonderland. The staff responds incredibly quick. They have stricter rules than any other venue I looked at. But, it is cleaner and more beautiful than any other venue I looked at. Thanks for the great wedding. Their DJ Russ was incredible and super easy to work with!
As a vendor that works with Stonegate Glass Chapel I want to take the time to say that Stonegate and their staff are wonderful to work with! I saw a recent review that said, "If you are starting your budget with venue and catering be very wary as I said about all in writing and a detailed definition in writing." My company was working at this event and I can tell you that Dodi's staff went overboard to make this a special day! I personally know that Dodi does follow the contract and everything that is stated but that is simply done so the next person's wedding is just as nice and that everything goes according to what has been discussed. My company has never had any difficulty with Stonegate and instead has loved working side by side with them! We have seen Dodi and her team treat their brides, grooms and guests with a great deal of respect (even when at time it might not have been deserved.). They simply want to make your day the best for you!!
I did not hold my wedding at Stonegate, but I did have a rehearsal dinner party in the reception hall as well as a devotional in the gorgeous chapel! The owners were able to help me accomplish exactly what I wanted. They were so helpful and accommodating. I have also been to several weddings at Stonegate and they never fail to leave me in awe of the chapel's natural beauty!
Very beautiful but get everything in writing and initialed. Very oversold at the open house. The wedding was beautiful and our amazing photographer Ella.K Photography, florist Cindy at Zuzu’s Petals and cake from Charity Fent made the day. Our guests had a wonderful time and their in house DJ, which you are required to use, was GREAT! We had miscommunications and forgotten discussed details and definitions as well as inclusions for the catering staff and bar offerings but Doug, on the catering side did make it right in the end. Very much appreciated and would recommend his services as long as you have a very detailed inclusion and pricing list. Dodi, on the venue side, not so much. If you are starting your budget with venue and catering be very wary as I said about all in writing and a detailed definition in writing. Again very beautiful but there are many beautiful venues. If they don’t spend a little more time on customer service and contine treating the chapel and reception hall like an Airbnb they will have a beautiful empty setting. Shop around and make sure when talking about price, venue to venue, you understand what is included. A venue with with staff that treat you like a paying guest and not an intruder in their home is worth a little extra, especially on a day you want to enjoy, not spend your time working.
Stonegate is a beautiful place to have your wedding. Our guests were very impressed with the intimate location and the beautiful scenery for our August wedding. The ample trees around the property provided for great shade and a relief from the heat. The reception hall was beautiful, clean, and easily sat a crowd of 100 guests.
The owner was always very responsive to my messages and questions, but there was confusion on the use of in-house vendors. You are responsible for using a certain in-house vendor for some things (DJ, bartending), but not for others (catering, cake, floral). This led to confusion for me, as I booked an alternate DJ and then had to cancel and lose my deposit.
The employees were not helpful in the slightest on the day of the ceremony. We had a moderate amount of decor for both the chapel and reception that we brought. We asked to borrow a pair of scissors for an item, as well as use a single piece of tape. The staff on hand was completely unwilling to help with these simple requests. For such a big day, it would have been appreciated to have little requests like that be accommodated for, as it’s easy to forget those items with the amount of other decorations. We also needed someone to hold the door open into the reception, as the wedding party was being announced, and again, no staff was willing to assist with that. We understood that we did not pay for ample staff assistance, but it still would have been nice for them to offer small gestures like that.
Overall, this venue provided a beautiful setting for our wedding. We will cherish the memories and pictures that come from it. I was not overly enthused with the staff on hand, and was expecting a more personal experience for the biggest event of my life. If looking for a small, unique setting for your wedding that is beautiful during any season, I would definitely recommend this spot. Just make sure to get all of the information straight ahead of time!
They were always so helpful. Anytime I emailed they answered on a timely manner. They were very sweet people to talk to and everyone they suggested as vendors worked out to be amazing! I highly recommend them and anyone they suggest
Overall, I would say that Stonegate was a stunning venue, and any couple who chooses this establishment for their wedding will not be disappointed. The only downfall to this venue, in my opinion, is that the owners of this venue do not work with you. They aren't flexible, and actually made the wedding planning process a big pain in the you know what. For example, for ten hours of time at the venue, I paid $3250. At the time, I was told that the venue accepted any catering service (although they did HEAVILY push to have you use their in-house caterer). We decided to go with a different catering service instead. Little did I know that because we weren't using their in-house catering staff, that our caterer wasn't allowed to even use a table in the back to plate appetizers? Are you kidding me? I wasn't asking for them to use the full kitchen to cook...Just a table. How did Stonegate remedy this? They wanted to put a table out in the reception hall and hide it behind a bed sheet for the caterer to prepare food behind... At first, I thought they were joking... Additionally, I'm not entirely sure what is wrong with the plumbing in their Bride's/Groom's rooms but EVERY time were were there, it smelt like someone had just gone number two... Imagine it being your wedding day and you are about to leave the Bride's room to walk down the isle and all you've breathed in for the last thirty minutes is the smell of feces... Even with all of that money spent, I still owed that a stupid $35 just to use a projector screen that they A. already had and B. refused to manipulate. So I paid $35 to manipulate their projector screen... Overall, I loved the venue and they way our ceremony and photos turned out, but I could do without having to work Dodi from Stonegate ever again. Just not friendly or easy to work with.
Nothing is more beautiful than the Ozarks in the summer and Stonegate Glass Chapel is a little jewel with the trees and greenery surrounding the ceremony.
Our daughter knew that was where she wanted to have her ceremony, we really didn't look at any other chapels or ceremony venues.
And it was wonderful. Many of our guests were from England and were dazzled by the beauty of the area.
The staff is helpful and kind during a stressful time and the amenities are delightful. We didn't use the reception venue as it wasn't built when we booked, but probably would have as it appears very nice.
Be careful of any elderly or handicapped as the walkway from the parking lot to the chapel is a bit tricky.
We loved having our wedding ceremony at Stonegate Glass Chapel. The location is beautiful and they are easy people to work with.
