This unique venue has tons of character and warmth. If you are looking for a wedding venue that’s not generic, with a lot of charm, then this is your place. Elizabeth was so attentive to our needs. “No” was not in her vocabulary, as she was very accommodating, flexible and always responsive to our needs. This lady is proud of her family’s legacy, as it shows in her work ethic. We were able to work with the chef to fine tune our menu and dinner was delicious!! No to mention the homemade cheese and bread appetizers and soft pretzels with mustard midway through the reception. The bartenders were so very friendly and efficient. Our guests were served 12 different beer selections brewed onsite, and any mixed drink available. The morning after the reception, we stopped by to pick up some things and we were greeted with 2 warm loaves of freshly baked bread by Elizabeth from her bakery. The hospitality was endless!! Our daughter’s wedding reception August 18, 2018 at Stoudt’s Banquet Hall will love fondly in our hearts forever.
We loved Stoudt's! Great atmosphere, food, and beer! Lots of places for pictures there and nearby. If you read poor reviews about communication... well this was true for the previous event planner, but she was replaced towards the end of our planning process and Minnie whom is there now, was amazing, VERY responsive, and made everything just right on our big day. Karen the chef was also a big help! I would definitely recommend Stoudt's. With all their decor you don't need much and having the open courtyard for the ceremony and the brewing area for the reception, it just works great and is so convenient. We loved everything and all of our guests said they had a blast and loved the venue. We even used them for the reception dinner the night before. If you don't use Stoudt's for your wedding, just go have dinner there, the food is great!
The venue has some cool decor, reasonably prices. nice to work with very flexible with decorations, food and alcohol was very good. Convenient to have ceremony, reception and photos in one place
I was recently a guest at a wedding here, and although I rarely write reviews, I was so shocked at their lack of professionalism that a review was warranted. Upon pulling up in the shuttle I thought the place had a cool, casual vibe and good beer. The ceremony and cocktail hour went off without a hitch, but then came time for the food. It took an hour and half for our food to come out much to the bride's shock and fury. However, instead of taking responsibility and being accommodating as Stoudt's should have, multiple servers complained to me (A WEDDING GUEST) about the bride and groom and their "mistake" in planning. This should never happen, especially on such a special day for this wonderful couple! Also, the bathrooms were filthy and smelled. I would give a second thought to other venues that won't complain about you behind your back to your guests while you are having your first dance.
The food, beer, atmosphere, and affordability were phenomenal for our wedding day. The planning and having to deal with Michelle (the event coordinator) and Josh (the chef) is another story. Too much time was spent awaiting responses from Michelle; usually 1-2 weeks is her typical response time- if you even get a one. When you do get a response, you will still have many unanswered questions. BEWARE; if you don't think of specific questions to ask, she will not tell you the essentials. We had scheduled a final meeting and it was like pulling teeth when we asked her to run through the wedding day timeline. It's like she expected us to know the details only she would know from her experience with being an event coordinator. You can tell planning weddings is not her true passion. She doesn't take the time to explain things. There was a severe lack of communication between her and the chef regarding the taste-testing. Almost everything we went there to try the day of was non-existent. Don't worry though, Josh (the chef), informed us in a very arrogant manner that when people go out to dinner they don't taste test the food before ordering. Rest assured; we were only ordering for about 165 people! No big deal! Stoudt's is a great establishment and holds much history and talent, but the customer service is severely lacking. Josh tries to be intimidating (but is not at all) and was very arrogant every encounter I had with him. It seems like Michelle never has any idea what is going on; at least that's how she acts when she doesn't want to put forth any effort. The only time I saw her for more than a minute on my wedding day was at the end of the reception in hopes of collecting the reception money. She also lied twice about touching base with the photographer and DJ when she actually did not touch base with them in the specified time she allotted herself. She even had the audacity to make up a lie to tell my DJ as to why she didn't reach out to him earlier as promised. If you do go through with having your reception here, make sure you triple check your invoice for a $3,000 error. I didn't notice it myself until I asked her a question unrelated to the total cost. She emailed me back and tried to discretely attach the corrected invoice. Had I paid the total with no questions asked, we would've been paying thousands of extra dollars. I am confident that if she had noticed the error after receiving our hard-earned money, she would have kept quiet about it and we would've been down-and-out $3,000. The guests had a great time and continue to rave about the food, but planning with Stoudt's staff was a complete nightmare.
My husband and I are craft beer lovers, so Stoudt's was the perfect reception venue for us!! They had every beer currently available on tap! Dawn Williams, the coordinator was great to work with and met with us several times during our planning. She even found us some pumpkin beers in bottles since they were out of kegs! The food was delicious too! We did a lot of decorating and had the reception hall looking beautiful. I'd highly recommend the venue, especially if you love good beer!
We recently used Stoudt's for our wedding reception and it was wonderful. Dave Hogg, the event coordinator there was a huge help. The location is so unique, only a few extra decorations are needed, which helped us save some cash. The prices were really reasonable, one of the cheapest in our area for venue and food. Our wedding was on a rainy August day and despite the lack of air conditioning in the hall, everyone was comfortable and undisturbed by the heat or humidity. I thought it was great.
It has an antique feel about it. A very German Ocktoberfest/outdoor biergarten atmostphere, yet elegant touch.;The bathrooms are small and hard to use in a wedding gown.
