Our wedding was amazing thanks to Sandy. Our wedding planning journey was so much easier since I didn't have to do any research on wedding vendors because she proposed professionals that fit our needs. Worth the money for the peace of mind.

We hired Sandy to coordinate our wedding at a hotel/resort near Yosemite. From design to execution, Sandy was incredibly professional, attentive, and helpful. She was so good at keeping track of every detail we discussed and communicated clearly with us and all the vendors to make everything happen smoothly. Sandy is positive and patient, and we could tell she cared a lot about making our special day and weekend as easy as possible for us.
Sandy did a great job helping us plan our wedding! One of the main reasons we decided to hire Sandy was because of her calm demeanor, which is so important as planning can get very stressful! She always stayed calm, professional and organized and we didn’t have to worry about a thing on our big day! We dealt with challenging venue owners and Sandy always kept things very professional and spoke up for us when necessary. She always had our backs and we were so happy with how everything turned out :)

Sandy was an absolute godsend - I can't even begin to fathom what planning a wedding would have been like without her. She's calm, confident, level headed, and extremely organized. In the 24hrs leading up to the wedding she took many of my last minute "to-dos" off my plate and encouraged me to enjoy the build up. We had a few hiccups the morning of our wedding and she handled everything seamlessly - I never once had to get involved. She brought my entire vision to life and I will forever be so grateful for her.
Sandy was our day of wedding coordinator. She helped us to have our dream wedding. She's professional and very responsive. She helped me with all the questions I had leading to the wedding. Although she is only my day of coordinator, we started working together months prior. She came to the venue walkthrough and rehearsal and helped with the timeline. She made sure that I wouldn't worry anything on my wedding day and reminded me of everything I had to prepare. She helped bring my wedding vision come to life. I highly recommend Sandy :)
Sandy was a DREAM to work with and made our wedding SO much less stressful. She did an excellent job listening to our vision and helped us make it come true. It was especially helpful that she was in touch with all of our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure no balls were dropped. When my hair person had a last minute family emergency, she made sure to find me another one. Through the whole process, she was so grounding and calm.
The day of the wedding, we were able to just focus on getting ready ourselves, knowing she was on top of making everything happen and coordinating with everyone. We highly recommend her!

Sandy really made our day perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better matched coordinator! I can be anxious and type-A about everything and she made me feel calm the entire day, which allowed me to soak everything in! Even though she was only brought in for day of coordination, she was engaged with us months before the event. Giving vendor recommendations, holding virtual meetings with us, and walking through the venue together. She was especially flexible and understanding when we had to move our wedding due to COVID. The day of we put a strategy together around how I liked to be nudged and it went off without a hitch! Everything was so special and on time. I didn’t have to think about a thing because she also made sure to build a relationship with all of our vendors in advance. I would recommend Sandy for anyone’s event. Thanks to he our day was that much more special!
I couldn't recommend Sandy enough! We planned for Sandy to help us 6 weeks out but she was really helping me along the way at the three-month mark so we felt at ease and were on top of everything. I struggled to find a place to order our dessert donuts at and Sandy offered to pick some up closer to her home town on the day of our wedding. Our dog was in our wedding as well and we had arranged for a pet taxi to pick him up after the ceremony. The service never showed but I was never stressed as Sandy was calling multiple services/ubers to try to setup a plan b for us. Sadly no one could help us out so while we were having dinner Sandy herself drove our dog back to the pet lodge he was staying at. Talk about an amazing coordinator! We were so grateful to Sandy for doing this and not allowing us to have an ounce of stress on our wedding day. She professional, sweet and has great alternative ideas when needed. I've already recommended Sandy to two of my friends getting married in 2022. Don't hesitate here, Sandy is the best!
Working with Sandy to help plan our wedding was essential and the smartest money we spent. There were so many times when her expertise helped save us money or avoid possible disasters. She was thorough, kind, easy to work with and got things done! She's a go getter. We were originally planning for a May 2020 event but after COVID (as we can all relate) that went out the window. She helped navigate, bring us ease and comfort and help tackle hard to answer questions about what to do. We couldn't have done it without her and are forever grateful. Sandy made the wedding planning and execution process so seamless. She took over vendor communications just as things were really ramping up and it helped take so much weight off my shoulders to enjoy the weeks leading up to our wedding. She was so incredibly helpful on wedding day - I had no worries or concerns knowing she was handling everything that could have gone wrong. She helped keep the day on track so we could just sit back and enjoy the day with all our friends and family.

Sandy strives to know your preferences so well so that on the big day she can field questions and make decisions as if she was you. She has a calming presence and a no-pressure attitude. She is hyper-organized and has eyes on the back of her head!
Having Sandy through the planning process during covid was incredible. Even though we were in unchartered territory, she consistently offered invaluable advice and suggestions, and handled every twist and turn without a single hiccup. In my case, my husband and I had to switch venues and dates two months out from the wedding, and Sandy went above and beyond to ensure it was a seamless transition!
Sandy led a smooth and easy to understand rehearsal the day before the wedding, and on the day of the wedding she was always right where you needed her to be, and thinking one step ahead!
If I could give future brides one piece of advice, it would be to get a planner - and if she's available, Sandy is the best choice!
Sandy is amazing to work with! She was extremely organized and kept me on top of my planning leading up to the big day. She has a wonderfully calm demeanor and I didn't worry about anything the day of our wedding because I knew Sandy had it all under control. Our wedding ran very smoothly and it was such a great help to have her set up the wedding day timeline and coordinate with our other vendors. Our day was absolutely perfect!
Sandy Stringer is an amazing wedding planner. Sandy was always very responsive to our emails and phone calls. Sandy was able to take on as much or as little of the wedding planning scope based on how much we wanted to sign ourselves up for. She also has a great eye for design. We asked her to design and coordinate all the lounge furniture and it turned out amazingly cute, vintage, and fun which is exactly what we were looking for. Sandy provided multiple opportunities to meet in person to finalize wedding planning details like an initial introduction, as well as cake and dinner tastings, wine tastings, and meeting up with our parents to discuss rehearsal dinner details. Sandy was very flexible to make the ceremony meet whatever theme / vibe we wanted to make it special to us. I highly recommend Sandy for any Tahoe or Sacramento-area wedding events.
Sandy was the absolute best thing I could have done for our wedding. She was on top of everything. After our first meeting, she sent me an extensive questionnaire so that she could have a better idea as to what I wanted. Overall she is amazing. I can't write enough good things about her. If you need a wedding planner Sandy is the way to go!
Sandy was great to work with! She was reasonably in price and extremely organized and helpful. She was able to provide the necessary checklists and forms to help us make decisions and organize our day.
I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for hiring Sandy from Strings and Champagne to help with our wedding day. I am a bride that loves organization and communication and she did that exactly. I did not have one worry on the day of the wedding. Sandy made me and my new husband feel at ease about everything. Sandy was fantastic. I didn’t have to worry about a thing on my wedding day and everything ran very Smoothly. It was also such a great help to have her set up the wedding day timeline and coordinate with the vendors. The day was absolutely perfect! I wouldn’t change a single thing.
My husband and I always joke that the best money we spent on our wedding was Sandy—I can’t imagine doing it without her!
Sandy was so easy to work with—it was like working with a friend (who didn’t mind every conversation being about you and your wedding lol.)
She was honest when I asked her for her opinion on design and decorating related questions, was able to tell me what the ‘traditional’ way of handling a situation would be when asked and where to cut corners on cost related expenses. She went to every meeting with us—venues, bakery, flowers, photographer, you name it and she was there to ask questions that I never even thought I needed to know and to take care of all the communication needed with the vendors. She kept an ongoing, up to date to-do list for us to make sure we were on track. This was essential for being a type A person to have a list of things that needed to be done soon and to know when I was expected to have them done by. I had so much peace of mind knowing that I was on track if I just completed the items she had listed for me. I knew that when it was time to worry about something or handle it, Sandy would have it on the list—until then it didn’t need an extra thought.
About 2 months before my wedding I started to get anxious because I wasn’t stressed or all over the place like I have heard about from so many brides—everything was done and ready! It was time to enjoy the last few weeks of being engaged and our families visiting. The weekend of the wedding went flawlessly, and if something didn’t go according to plan, I couldn’t tell you what it was because I didn’t hear about it or notice it. Every aspect of the wedding weekend was well planned, timelines were in place, there was never a question of what was supposed to be happening—Sandy took charge when needed and was a fly on the wall when not.
I cannot say enough good things about this woman—she truly has a passion for what she is doing, is extremely organized, patient and loved by everyone! I received endless compliments and inquiries from our wedding, everyone from vendors, wedding guests, future brides all recognized the (seemingly) flawless execution of the night and what a gem she is to work with.
Sandy is the kindest person and truly wants the best for you. Her passion for people & weddings is apparent in everything she does. She is very organized and helped us to stay on track throughout the process. On the wedding day, she made sure everything flowed perfectly, she kept us on schedule. She also checked in with us & our parents often to ensure everyone was doing ok. I can't recommend Sandy enough!!!
Overall, I would not recommend Sandy. I paid for additional design and travel services. She was supposed to coordinate the distribution of gift bags, travel, and design of the event. The welcome bags were not distributed by her. We had to do that ourselves. The shuttle pick up times changed so much that our guests got confused and 7 of them missed the ceremony. The design of the event was in large part done by me and the florist. The florist wasn’t local so I had to purchase a lot of the items included in the florist quote twice to get them sooner. Lastly, she didn’t let the band play. It was obviously quiet after dinner. The band should start immediately and she put them on standby. After talking with venue staff, they reiterated that she was not a regular coordinator at the venue and that explains a lot. All my guests wondered why the band wasn’t playing following dinner. I really wish she would have checked in with me or gone over her perception of the timeline with me more. The band hardly played for 2 hours and I paid $7000 for them to be there and start the party.

Unfortunately, these statements are not correct. I can start with mentioning that I had offered to distribute the welcome bags and asked for the lists of guests that should receive them at the 3 different hotels, I didn't receive a list. I then...
reached out to the bride's sister and she said, that they will distribute the bags themselves and later on I found out that the bride never even gave her sister the list of names, that's why the bags were never distributed. But I don't want to go into too much detail on everything else. It's just unfortunate these comments were made because all of us vendors went out of our way to please Julie.
I would like to let every Bride and Mother of the Bride know that if you want a beautiful and stress free wedding, call Strings & Champagne. I needed a wedding planner that could help me plan my daughter's wedding because I live in WA and my daughter was being married in CA. Sandy worked with my daughter and I every step of the way and handled all the details. She was always available to answer questions and had wonderful suggestions when my daughter and I did not know what to do.The morning of my daughter's wedding I was able to spend time with my daughter and not have to worry about anything else because I knew Sandy was making sure that the day would be perfect and it was. Sandy is warm and friendly and is such a joy to work with. If you want your wedding day to be perfect, call Sandy. You will be so happy you did!
After several interviews for a coordinator we decided on Sandy .She was perfect match for us and from our fist meeting right down to wedding day .She answered all my emails in a prompt fashion and always gave me ideas for reception decor. She was amazing on the wedding day and was so thankful she was with us .Not sure we could have had such a smooth and beautiful day without her help .I would suggest Sandy with no hesitation she was amazing !!
Amazing!!!! Sandy is on top of everything and makes you her #1 priority. She made things run smoothly, and reminded of us things we needed to plan (that we didn't even think of honestly!). She's just wonderful. You're in good hands with her.
During the wedding planning process there are so many decisions to make -- and the best decision I made was to hire Sandy! She over-delivers on her services and is completely committed to making sure your wedding comes together perfectly. She answered all my emails super quickly, which is no small thing when you're a bride stressing out and needing advice! My wedding venue was very non traditional and posed a lot of logistical challenges; Sandy had an easy solution for everything! Not only that but she put me at ease on all my concerns. Her "don't stress" attitude is coupled with her cool calm and collected methods of organization, which is essential to making a wedding run smoothly. She dealt with all of my vendors and made sure there weren't any hiccups. The best surprise was that on the wedding day, I completely forgot about having my maid of honor and best man sign the marriage license! The next day I found out that not only did Sandy make sure they signed it, but it was already in the mail! Strings and Champagne is the best money you will spend on your wedding day.

I can't say enough great things about Sandy. I was planning a wedding in Sacramento, while living in Atlanta. I whole heartedly trusted Sandy to make my design decisions because her taste, style, and finesse with how she designs speaks for itself. We had a fusion Indian/American wedding and Sandy was incredible in helping with the decoration for the Church, Temple, and reception. She made sure the decor was chic and modern but had an Indian flare to everything. We used Sandy for our day of planning as well and she was wonderful. She was on top of every vendor and payments so me or my family could enjoy the wedding. On a personal note Sandy was patient and understanding and was very willing to work with us with our design philosophy and also keeping our budget in mind. I love that Sandy was such a big part of our wedding!
If I could add all the stars and the full moon that shinned so bright over us to this review, I would. We are forever grateful for Sandy and the way she made our event flow so seemingly effortlessly and perfectly. It was a dream day. She is so calm, kind, organized and talented. Sandy went above and beyond, filling in when other vendors lacked in follow through. Hiring Sandy was the best decision we made. Without her advice, professionalism, and hard work, we know that things couldn't have been done. All of my DIY details were perfect and she took charge from the day we hired her, through the rehearsal and to the were hours of the night on our wedding day. Sandy came in 3 weeks before my wedding when my friend coordinator dropped out. She was great, brilliant on catching up on all my intricate DIY plans & executions and helped everything go according to plan the day of!
We came across Strings & Champagne after our original planner went MIA. We knew we wanted to work with Sandy after our first conversation with her. She put our minds at ease and assured us everything will go smoothly despite taking over the planning just 4 months before the wedding. Sandy was extremely professional and detailed oriented. She worked with us to understand what had been done and what still needed to be done. Despite crafting a comprehensive list of what her services would entail, she ensured I stayed on top my list of actions. In addition, this was a destination wedding in California. Sandy saved me $600 airfare cost by helping me to complete my actions without flying out to California.
Sandy was a lifesaver! Words cannot express how much we appreciate everything Sandy and her team did to ensure our day went smoothly. The feedback from our friends and family was overwhelmingly positive. I will definitely recommend her to our friends and family.
THE BEST DAY OF COORDINATOR a bride and her family could wish for. Words cannot do justice for the work you did for us, Sandy. You were a calm, happy presence who kept cool when the little things that "may go wrong", did. It's because of you I didn't notice any of the little things. Originally, I thought a wedding planner wasn't needed, but I wanted to give my mother (Mother of the Bride) whatever she wanted. Less stress for her meant less stress for me. Sandy proved me wrong in every way.
She took full responsibility for everything and made sure everyone was comfortable and relaxed. Our rehearsal was fun and successful because of Sandy which led to an extremely enjoyable ceremony and reception. All the little hitches that would have caused me anxiety were taken care of, so I can’t recommend Sandy enough.
She helped make my husbands and my wedding perfect, and we wouldn't trade the memories for the world.

When I'm not planning events, you can find me traveling with my family, out on hikes in Lake Tahoe, at the gym or reading a book with a glass of bubbly. Oh yeah, and on Monday nights I watch anything Bachelore/ette related.
