of comparable quality. We worked with Sally to book everything which was really easy and then worked with Andrew and Bonita the day of our wedding. Andrew was our main contact and he definitely got our non-traditional approach at our planning meeting about a week before the wedding. He and Bonita were able to deal with our loud, chaotic families and friends. To be honest, they sort of blended into the background so well I forgot they were there once the ceremony started. At the end of the reception, we wanted to get a few pictures with friends that we had forgotten and Andrew stayed a little longer to capture a few more images which we really appreciated. We loved the final photos we received and can't wait to start printing them!

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the wait for sneak peaks, based off of friends' experiences with their photographer I had just assumed sneak peaks would be shared with me just days after the wedding, so I reached out and asked about them the timeline. I was told sneak peaks would be shared 2 1/2 weeks after the day and the full portfolio in 4 weeks. I didn't end up getting any sneak peaks, but I did get the full portfolio at 3 weeks. I was really hoping for just 5 edited photos a couple days after so I could share them on social media. That surely doesn't stop me from recommending them and I would love to work with them again! We have such beautifully photographed memories to look back on thanks to Makeen and the Studio.

s, as I did not have a wedding planner, and Liam provided a ton of helpful insight. Not only that, he is a native of St. Paul where we had our wedding and he knew the surroundings very well. On our wedding day, Liam treated myself and my husband like royalty and he took control to make sure we received everything we wanted, and more, for pictures of our wedding day. Our guests loved him! They thought he was funny, controlled each group so well, and was very professional. We couldn't be more pleased with the pictures he took for us and for the service provided by Studio 220!

the aisle. With two photographers, we didn't think we would even have to request that - I figured it was a standard for weddings. Many of the pictures were taken from an angle upward which ended up being weirdly unflattering. There are a handful of pictures we do really like, but again.. none of them were what we would consider outstanding - like other family wedding pictures we've seen. Additionally, our main photographer was difficult to get a hold of through email which was frustrating.

Jen M. was our photographer for both our engagement session and the lead for our wedding day--she's one of the most down to earth, lovable and respectable people we've ever met! She kept in contact with us throughout the entire process, she helped create a timeline, she periodically checked in to see how things were going with planning, and was always quick to respond to any emails or phone calls. When we first met Jen for our engagement session, we weren't sure what to expect; but from the moment we met her, it felt like we had known her forever! After our engagement session, we knew before we even saw the photos, that we had made the right decision in choosing this company and selecting her as our photographer! Once we saw the photos...we were even more satisfied! On the day of our wedding, she and her assistant Sarah K. showed up early and began working immediately! They had ideas, they had suggestions, they were encouraging and made the day even more memorable than it already was--everyone had so much fun working with the two of them, especially my husband and I! We received so many compliments from friends and family about our photographers, saying how professional they were, how they were everywhere covering everything from the moment they arrived to the time they left, and they made sure that all photos we requested were captured and that everyone was happy before departing for the evening. os. With less than 1.5 months away from the wedding we had to find a replacement. We had such a low budget due to my husband and I funding the entire wedding. I discovered Studio 220 and fell in love with their photos. I was nervous to email them, knowing I was low on money. Dana heard my story and she and her team worked with Jake and I to give us everything at the price we could afford. I was in tears. Dana deserves 10 stars on her own! She was so quick to responding and she was so dang KIND! I also need to give credit to the owners for caring so much for my husband and I and working with us. LASTLY, my photographer Aaron was everything we dreamed of in a photographer! He was amazing. He was so skilled in photography, knew how to pose us, had so much patience with my big crew, and was such a kind person. Nicole, his assistant was just as wonderful! I caught her taking those candid shots that you would hope someone would capture without you knowing! I cannot say enough about this company. We are so thankful we were able to use Studio 220 for our wedding. They are the reason we will smile when we look back on the photos from our wedding. Thank you Dana, Aaron, Nicole, and the owners! e is sick, they have a guaranteed backup photographer available just in case. We worked with Makeen and Mike for our wedding and they did a wonderful job. The pictures turned out great. We did an engagement session with Makeen prior to the wedding (highly recommend doing this even if just to feel comfortable with your photographer) and got some wonderful pictures from that too. We were even able to bring our dogs to the park so they could be a in a few shots too. I think the hard part now, will be choosing the pictures to put into our wedding album. There are so many good ones to choose from.

Tamika and Sarah did our wedding and we are in love with the pictures! They were so awesome to work with and made us, our family and wedding party so comfortable. I burst into tears after looking through them because we had paid so much money and very few photos turned out (we are talking less than 8 of the 500+ that they took prior to reception). After some unsuccessful web queries to other photographers, I was starting to worry I wouldn't be able to find anyone available on such short notice and because many seemed to require a longer minimum time commitment. I found Studio 220 on The Knot and was impressed with their online portfolio. Not only were they able to accommodate us, they offered us a choice of three photographers and at a very reasonable price due to the small scale of the event. Katie and her assistant did a fabulous job keeping things fun during the photo sessions, getting all the shots we requested and being unobtrusive during the ceremony. They even took portraits of all our guests. We got access to the photos quickly and they were really stunning. I'm not planning to get married again any time soon, but if I did I would certainly use Studio 220 Photography.

They were very strict in terms of rules/protocol and seemed to charge extra for every little thing. Being such a large company they also have a great website and online payment system. That said, again, Makeen was fantastic. The photobooth ladies were very nice, but the booth itself malfunctioned early in the night and did not print any photos. Our guests were VERY disappointed.

I can tell you she didn't have much to work with given the weather and our lousy job at decorating our venue, but our photos were far better than I had imagined- brought tears to my eyes viewing them for the first time...and the second...and the third. We set up a timeline for the wedding day and Tamika gave us her recommendations of what she thought would work well, which was great for us because we needed a little structure. and we were looking for her expertise. We then spoke the week of the wedding to go over final details. With the wedding being in the beginning of June the weather was looking to be unfavorable with rain but Tamika was very reassuring that we would get great photos whether indoors or outdoors. She took a look at the venue before we started shooting so she had an idea of the lighting and what was going to work well. Tamika was great at working with our wedding party and family to get all of the photos we were looking to have and great at providing direction. We also filled out an online questionnaire to confirm the photos we were looking to achieve before the day was over. Tamika also had another photographer, Sarah, with her who was also enjoyable to work with. We cant wait to see our photos in a few short weeks. Thanks for everything Tamika, Sarah and Studio 220 for helping making our wedding day unforgettable!

cess when I first called to learn about the studio. She then sent me awesome portfolios to look through to select our photographer for a short-notice engagement session. Long story short...Joan is AMAZING and I'm quite sure is possibly a magician! We had our engagement photos on seriously the coldest day in Minneapolis in January - she was quick, friendly, and put up with us while it was snowy and windy. What's more amazing is that she somehow managed to make it look like we weren't completely freezing our butts off! I had no doubt that our wedding photos would look incredible after that feat and after just seeing some sneaks - I am not disappointed in the least! She and Murphy (2nd photographer on the day off) put everyone at ease and allowed us to have fun with the photos; she even put up with some of my crazy ideas on the spot. I 100% recommend Studio 220 for anyone in Minneapolis looking for a photographer. I have no doubt that each and every photographer on staff is just as amazing as Joan!

line that kept us on track but not hurried/rushed. My husband is very traditional and last minute decided he wanted a receiving line at the church so we could greet each guest before the dinner. The church did not want us to do this since they thought it would take too much time and we wouldn't be out of there before the evening mass. I wanted to do the line as well but didn't want to eat up the time to do other family/wedding party photos that we had scheduled. She assured everyone we'd be able to get it done in time which we did (with time to spare). My husband also is not a fan of having his photo taken. Tamika understood this and did a great job balancing what I wanted out of photos and not pushing it with him. You're wedding day will always be the best and so much fun but it made such a difference having a talented photographer with a great personality along side us for the day.

It's fun to relive the day by going through pictures, and because there were 2 of them, it was neat to see the different angles that were captured throughout the day.
