Studio 616 | DJ Entertainment & Photo Booth Rentals!

We had Mike as our DJ for our wedding. He had great suggestions for games to play during the reception, and it got a lot of people involved which was fun! I liked how he checked with either myself or my husband if someone requested a song I didn't want, so I appreciated that. One of my biggest things that made me gave him a 4 out of 5 stars rating is that he played older songs for too long. A lot of my guests started to leave because they were wanting to get out and dance and the music just wasn't there for it. Once he finally started getting into more music to dance to, it was hits from 2008 basically, with nothing really current. During the night he also announced something along the lines of "Well the Bride and Groom have already hired me, they can't fire me now!" I only heard it once but my bridesmaid told me that she heard comments like that 4-5 times throughout the night which I thought was rude. Overall though we had a good experience.

We had the DJ/Photo Booth combo package for our 8/15/15 wedding with DJ Dan. I met with Mike early on in the year to book and after that the contact was minimal- which for me was a huge plus with a million other things going on. The itinerary was pretty simple to go through and send back for DJ Dan to go through. He called me the week before the wedding to go through anything that might have been confusing based on the itinerary and he really knows what he's doing. It was really nice to just let them do what they know how to do, so less stuff for us to worry about. Throughout the night Dan would ask how everything was going and if there was anything we needed. He even offered to grab us drinks from the bar before we got in because he knew we might be too busy to grab our own! Also, huge thanks to Dan for picking up our photo booth album- we would've been so sad without it.

The photo booth and DJ bundle is a great package. The photo booth attendants are always fun to be around (I'm sure seeing the crazy pictures helps out a ton!) and our DJ Dan made sure to capture our music selection by the list of music we liked/wanted to hear. Overall I would recommend Studio 616 to our friends/family if they were in need of either a DJ/Photo booth! I loved that at the end of the night we were able to get copies of the photo strips that were taken the whole night! Fun props made for hilarious times. :)

Had Studio 616 for my daughter's quinceanera. Unbelievably outstanding job done by them. From Crystal with the photo booth, Joe as DJ and MC, and arrangements with Mike- all smooth, professional, and exceptional. Whatever I asked, they said "no problem, we can do that". I felt like I had so much less to worry about because they helped orchestrate where I needed them . I highly recommend Studio 616.

Fantastic music and over all engaging atmosphere was created by Joe. Joe was able to help us out last minute and did not disappoint. Joe seem to know the crowd and what they wanted to hear with in just a few songs. he accommodated everyone with there wishes and was very easy going to what we needed. I extremely recommend Studio 616 and Joe!!!

Mike from dj 616 literally made my wedding, from the first moment we booked him he was concerned with my wedding day, from the ceremony music to my over zealous guests to making sure we stay on our timeline. He kept EVERYONE engaged and dancing and even had video cameras set up for me to see my niece walk down the aisle!(because obviously I wasn't there ;)) they did such a phenomenal job, everyone had so many good things to say about them! I STILL have people calling to complement me on what a wonderful dj we picked and that they just had an amazing night! We truly owe it to this company, not only did mike keep everything on schedule but any time he saw me or my husband kept asking if there was anything we needed whether it was a drink or food or anything. Simply outstanding service!! We also got a Photo Booth from this company and I don't think I have ever seen an attendant so engaged, she laughed with my guests, kept everyone coming in and even helped with my 5 and 6 year old nephew who LOVED the potobooth!! I cannot urge you enough to go with this company you will not regret it!!

We hired Studio 616 for the DJ, Photo booth, and Photography at our wedding and we are sure glad we did. Mike and Dan did a spectacular job of making sure everything at our wedding went well, even when we had some problems with our venue. The price for everything was so affordable, especially considering all the personalized service we received from them. Even though we paid for a certain number of hours for DJ, Photo, and photo booth they went beyond the time we had paid for to make sure that we truly had the blast day of our lives. Everyone had a blast at the wedding dancing and using the photo booth. The pictures we got from Mike were amazing. Everyone loved how he started printing some off before the end of the night. You can’t go wrong with bundling everything together with studio 616!

"That was the best wedding we have ever been to!" This is what my husband & I continued to hear from all of our family and friends after our wedding. Mike and Dan were a pleasure to work with and were very accommodating! We decided to get the package that included DJ/Photography/Photo booth and we wouldn't change a thing! It was such a great deal and such a fun time. They really went above and beyond our expectations. Genuinely kind people and we definitely recommend!!! :)

Hello. I just wanted to say that I had Sherry Hansen from Studio 616 for my DJ at my wedding and she was very professional. She looked very nice and she had no problems playing all of the music that I or my guests requested. We also had her handle the music for my ceremony which she handled nicely. She was very helpful in getting my party started and keeping the events running smoothly. I couldn't have done it without this company.

I went with studio 616 because I heard great things about them. You can never be so sure how great something is until you actually see it for yourself. So of course, as a bride-to-be I stressed over it. Little did I know that Sherry Hansen (our wedding DJ) had me covered. She was the best. She contacted me well before the wedding to go over everything. She was so easy to work with and she fulfilled all the requests that were asked of her. Sherry was proactive to go above and beyond what my husband and I wanted. If you are a bride-to-be looking for a DJ I would recommend Studio 616, but most importantly Sherry Hansen. She was AWESOME!!

We are so happy we used Studio 616 as our DJ service. The majority of our communication was via email as we are from Chicago and the owner, Mike, was very prompt in his replies. Mike met with us at our venue prior to the event to discuss where the DJ would be located for the ceremony and reception. We chatted about the kinds of music we preferred, as well as how we wanted the day to flow. A few days prior to the wedding, we met with Dan, who would be our DJ for the night. We reviewed the schedule of events and the music must haves for our big day. Dan did not disappoint and really helped make the night a success! He played music for all ages and even got our grandparents out on the dance floor. At the end of the night the dance floor was full and we finally had to shut the reception down! We also utilized the uplighting available from Studio 616 and this really enhanced the reception space. We rented the photo booth, which comes with a slew of props, and Studio 616 puts together a photo album that you then receive at the end of the night. This was awesome and we highly recommend it! I think almost all of our guests ended up in the photo booth at some point which made for a highly entertaining photo album! We would highly recommend Studio 616 - they were accommodating, helpful, affordable and tons of fun!

We used Studio 616 for our reception and were very pleased! The package we chose included a DJ & photo booth, and their prices were very reasonable. Mike was our DJ and we couldn't have hoped for things to have gone better! He truly let us enjoy our reception by making sure the evening flowed nicely and kept our guests on the dance floor all night having a blast. The photo booth was a ton of fun too! They have A LOT of really fun props that even ended up on the dance floor which made for some amazing photos and memories! If we had to do it all over again we would make the same choice, no questions asked!

Wow. Not only impossible to get ahold of, but after talking to (or trying to) for months (email and attempted phone calls) after telling us our date was available and pretty much all we had to do was pay the deposit-which we were trying to do!! but no one ever answered us, Mike finally emailed and said they had other gigs come in they would rather do that date. Um? Ok. That's professional. We would have given them repeat business in Grand Rapids, and recommend two other friends looking for DJ's right now. Guess not. Dodged that bullet. I never write reviews but I was just astounded at the lack of professionalism and poor service. Save yourself alot of time trying to get ahold of these guys; it's not worth it.

We expected there to be two competent professional employees: one DJ to facilitate the reception, and another to manage the photo-booth. The DJ had no idea what was going on. He didn't know how to get sound out of his system. My cousins had to set up his equipment and make sure things were working. When it came time to introduce our bridal party the song was cued wrong and the volume spiked and cut out three times. My Uncle did his job for him by announcing the bridal party, first dances, cutting of the cake, and everything else that required a DJ facilitating the evening because we couldn't trust his competence level. Both employees were not professional at all. They were smoking cigarettes in plain site of everyone. The dance music was also completely off too. I along with the rest of the bridal party needed to constantly instruct the DJ to follow the play list and not play club booty popping music directly following the first dances. The night was supposed to be thought free on our part and it wasn't. I would think twice before using Studio 616 for your wedding.

We had studio 616 for our dj and photo booth for our wedding a couple weeks ago. Overall we were happy with their service. Mike was our dj and he played great music and was very accommodating to requests and kept guest happy and our dance floor was packed all night! Photo booth was a great addition to have and guest loved it all night. We had a couple of issues though, nothing that guest would have noticed but- we were under the impression that they would do ceremony music, break down and try to get to cocktail hour to play some music. Instead they rode the chairlift around and didn't get down the mountain till cocktail hour was almost over. Luckily we had a Bluetooth speaker and asked a family member to play some music. Mike also allowed my brother and his friend to sing us a song karaoke style- without running it past us first. We also asked Mike to announce we had late night food out for our guest and I never heard it annouced and no one realized we had food in the back of the room that cost us an extra $500. Yes these are small issues- just wanted to explain why I gave them 4 out of 5.

I had booked the 11 hour DJ/photo package from Studio 616 for our August 9, 2014 wedding in Petoskey, MI; I was dealing with Mike. They got good reviews and the pricing was reasonable, particularly since a photo booth was included. The deposit was taken via PayPal and that was the end of the documentation that I received; we never received a contract of any sort so we had no idea who our actual DJ was going to be. I wasn't too concerned, but maybe I should have been. Fast forward to July 2014 and I contacted Mike to provide some information regarding the first dance, must play lists. etc. I was planning from the Detroit area, but Mike suggested we meet and go over a paper itinerary. I mentioned that it would probably be easier over the phone, but received no response. Several days later I contacted Mike again to set up a phone meeting and it was then that he informed me that CJ was going to be our DJ and that he would be in touch. Ok, fine. Within a half hour of that email I received another email stating that CJ was booked for another wedding that day and that my DJ would be Henry. Ok, fine again. Within about 45 minutes of THAT email, I received another email that Henry was in the hospital and it was unknown if he would be available for our wedding so they were going to refund our deposit. Now I understand that things happen and that's fine, but I feel that Studio 616 could have done a better job in helping us find another DJ three weeks before the wedding. They acted like they were doing us a favor by refunding our deposit and were not all that apologetic. It's not like we were canceling on them so I would have expected our deposit back. They didn't even send an email that they refunded our deposit, it just showed up in my PayPal account. The bottom line is that I really have no idea who our actual DJ was supposed to be so they could have done a bunch of switching around and we ended up getting screwed. For a company that gets such good reviews, I just expected a little better customer service. For instance, something along the lines of "we apologize for having to cancel, but we contacted a few DJs in the area to see if any were available on your date and here they are...", would have been nice.

Mike seriously went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I's special day was perfect. He did everything perfect- his vibe was great, and his personality is GOLD. First off, before even meeting this guy, he made sure he had all the right songs, and the right vibe for the wedding (which was 1920s theme). Mike and I talked many times over the phone to tie up loose ends and get everything concrete and decided on. Before I even got to experience the magic of his awesome Dj skills, he already went above and beyond by actually genuinely caring. You can tell he absolutely loves his job. The website he has set up is AMAZING. Its so easy to log on and put any and all information about the reception on it. Mike then put videos and songs on the site that were MAIN songs and then after the wedding he put up all the photobooth pictures (which are so awesome to scroll through). I had many people comment on how amazing he was and how jealous they were that their Dj wasnt as fun and cool. I love that Mike always let us know what was going to happen, when to announce certain things, and he helped me understand when to do cake cutting and the dollar dance. Mike had a few fun things of his sleeves to get guests involved and it was BRILLIANT! I got to go around with my cell phone and take selfies with as many people as possible while he played that song about taking selfies! The photobooth was seriously amazing too! Almost all of my guests took pictures and used their awesome props inside the booth Studio 616 even provide a photobooth booklet where everyone can put their pictures in it and write the bride and groom well wishes. I got a service that was worth $5000, for $1000. 11 hours of Dj and Photobooth! Best deal around- and the best Dj ever.

Our wedding pictures turned out flawless. Mike and Alisha were great!! Alisha took my pictures while I was getting ready and took pictures of the dress, rings, flowers, etc. She was polite and caring and took pictures behind the scenes. Mike was fantastic as well! He captured fun photos of our families and bridal party and tried to make everyone feel comfortable. What I liked the most is he always asked if we needed a break and gave us time before the reception to take a breather. You get so in the moment that sometimes you need the reminder to take a break for yourself. In all, fantastic service. I could not have asked for anything better!

Mike and Jessica were very professional and catered to our every need. Mike was the DJ and played some awesome selections and had some really cool lighting to energize the dance floor! Jessica was running the photo booth and was did a great job as well. This combo deal was the best deal we found and for the service provided was an amazing deal! We contracted Studio 616 for my daughter's May 31, 2014 wedding reception. We were very disappointed in the quality of service. The list is long... Our first meeting with Mike (owner) was scheduled for Tuesday, May 6th at the Walldorff Brewpub in Hastings, MI at 12 noon. He didn't show up until after 4:30 p.m. Mike had my daughter's reception confused with another client's. So we waited 4.5 hours for Mike to show. Mike also assured us that we were getting an "awesome D.J., Dan." We contracted with Studio 616 the following: a DJ, Up-lighting, and a Photo Booth. My daughter and her fiancé had to drive to Kentwood, MI to meet Mike to pick up the Up-lighting prior to the wedding. The morning of the wedding, we had to install this lighting on our own. My daughter and future son-in-law spent a great deal of time talking with the DJ prior to the reception, with explicit instructions of what songs were to be played during the meal time, cake cutting, and requested songs made by guests on the RSVP response cards ("I promise to dance if you play..."). Dan failed miserably on all counts. Dan's personality was lack luster. He did not even try to interact with the guests. He did not play the songs that were requested. Dan spent a great deal of time walking back & forth between the staff of the Walldorff and the bride & groom asking questions that were covered in phone calls prior to the wedding and information that was provided to him via their website (if he had just taken the time to read the notes)!. He plugged in tracks of his choosing, ate, and sat. The photo booth was to be set up prior to the arrival of guests at the reception. When we arrived at 5:30 p.m., there was no photo booth. When I asked Dan about this, he informed me that they were at another event and would arrive sometime around 7:30 p.m. Studio 616 (aka Premier Studios) is in the habit of double booking. The photo booth did arrive after 7:30 p.m. and it was very disruptive having them cart their equipment and props through the crowd of people to set up. An additional observation; the photo booth workers were not very helpful in explaining the process of signing the album where the photos would be placed and their "props" needed updating. Many were well worn and the variety was limited. I only rate this company one star for service and quality because they did show up. A two star rating on value as the cost was around $1400.00 for the package. BUT, you get what you pay for. I would not recommend Studio 616 (aka Premier Studios) for a wedding reception. Kim W. Mike was scheduled to do the photo booth for our party. The night before our DJ bailed. Mike stepped in and was willing to do it on 1 night's notice! Even better, he gave us a very fair rate and did a great job. Very trustworthy! I will be using him again for sure!!!

My experience with studio 616 was pretty good. I would recommend them to be a DJ at your wedding. They work with you anyway they can and they are very good at keeping to the schedule. Everybody seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Great value for the price! We hired them for 2 hour photo booth rental during our reception at the Henderson castle and they were awesome! (they even carried the photo booth up 3 flights of stairs for us) They made us a personalized logo for our photos and a personalized guest book. They even went out on the dance floor and took some photos for us with their own cameras! Everyone loved the photo booth and they were very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend for the future!

This ended up being the surprise hit of the reception! It was so fun and there were so many props to choose from. All of my guests were able to get a copy of their pics, and I also got a copy, which was put in a book, along with a message from the guests. It is such a cherished keepsake. And hilarious too! I would highly recommend them.

Our guests loved the Photo Booth and with unlimited prints for three hours, they were able to take full advantage and get quite a few pictures. The DJ was awesome - played every song that we asked for, and then tried to accommodate each request from the guests. I was very happy with Studio 616 and so were my guests!

They did an outstanding job. Everyone had a good time and everyone has been complimenting me left and right!

Mike and Premier Studio MI was SOOO GREAT!! It was the biggest hit at our wedding. They were on time, professional, and went above and beyond our needs. The photos were funny and memorable. We were not sure if we wanted to spend the money on a photobooth and it was the best and favorite place we put our money! AGAIN. THEY ROCKED! I highly recommend them!!

We had a DJ all set up for our wedding and were basically looking for just a photo booth. When we met Mike we decided within minutes that we were going to also have Premier Studio do our DJ too. He kept things moving so there was no low moments in the reception. The Photo booth was great and we have awesome pictures from it. Mike is a great guy and lots of fun.

Joe was our dj for our wedding and did an outstanding job. I have zero complaints. The music selection that he provided had all age groups out dancing. He was able to "feel out" the guests and able to keep playing the music that everyone enjoyed. No need for "requests ".with Joe. He's great!

I am so glad that I decided to have the photo booth at my wedding Mike in his crew did great job with helping our guest with the photo booth! But, really it is simple to use and the pictures turn out way cute with the different props Mike and his crew bring!! All of our guest really enjoyed it and again I would highly recommend booking the photo booth for your wedding!! :)

We used Premier's DJ service and couldn't be happier. Mike did such a great job! He handled all the details, our master and mistress didn't have to do anything at the reception. Mike was upbeat and fun, I would recommend premier to anyone.

We used Premier Studios DJ and photography services at my daughter's wedding and reception. Mike and Emily were professional, easy going and a lot of fun to work with. The photos are amazing and how they were able to be seemingly everywhere without ever being noticed at the time is a testiment to their abilities. They took the time to really get to know the kids, their style and personalities and found out-of-the box ways to make that shine through on their special day. As far as the DJ service, I can not speak highly enough of Premier Studios. They were thorough, organized, SO much fun and a huge help to the bride for music selection whenever she got stumped. And there was not one moment that evening that the dance floor was unoccupied. Whether the songs were fast or slow didn't matter, Mike captured the mood of the crowd and the place was hopping all night! We could not have asked for more in a DJ and photographer and we could not be happier.

Mike was my photographer and DJ. On our wedding day he had a helper, Emily who did a fantastic job! Thanks Emily! Mike did an AMAZING job at everything that he did! He kept everything up beat and fun. He had great ideas for photos and when I was stuck and unsure of what music to have playing during bouquet, garter, entrance, etc. he came up with the perfect songs for our style! That was impressive to me. Mike is a really easy guy to get along with and fun! So I would suggest to any bride if you want your wedding to go smoothly and have no worries call Premier Studios! And if you talk to Mike call him "country boy" he'll like it:) Thanks Premier!

My husband and I used Premier Studips & DJ's for our recent wedding. Mike and his team provided the ceremony music, reception music, photo booth AND all the wedding photos. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Premier takes stunning photos, knows how to entertain the crowd and most importantly make the bride and groom VERY happy :-) We highly recommend Premier for your big day, you'll be happy with your choice!!

John was our videographer for our wedding and he did an incredible job. He was in all the right places, making sure to get every crucial moment. We really appreciated all that he did.
