I can't say I was very happy. I wanted to be as they came recommended. First, I was pushed into buying a dress that was 2 sizes bigger than me to "allow for alterations because it's easier to take it in then it is take it out". Well, when this ...dress arrived it was waaayyy too big and needed alterations for sure. When I ordered the dress they did not have an in-house seamstress, but when I was called that my dress was in they told me they had a new seamstress - so I made an appointment. The first appointment went ok I guess, he assured me that he would get it to fit me properly - although I thought it was strange that he never took any measurements. I was also charged over $500 for alterations at that first appointment, that also needed to be paid upfront. I came back for my first fitting and the dress felt NO different at all. The waist was still too big, nothing felt any different, to which he replied "did you lose weight?" you definitely look smaller. I can assure you; I've been this same weight for 2 years. He just either didn't do it, or he did it very wrong. The subsequent alteration appointments were NOT good, in fact by appointment #3, I was nearly in tears as I felt he butchered my dress and turned it into something that would fit Jessica Rabbit just fine, but looked ridiculous on me. Imagine my over $2100 dress (plus $500 alterations), reduced to that. As he "took in" the waist, he never did a thing with the hips which made them look super square (hence, Jessica Rabbit). At this point I kind of loose track of timeline because it was getting drastically close to my needing the dress as we were traveling to NY for the wedding. The straps that came with the dress needed to be shortened, he needed to fix the hips (again), he let out the waist (which felt fine when he took it in at alteration 2 or 3 - who even knows anymore) but told me he hadn't done that however the assistant that day said that he DID do it. The whole dress/alteration event was such a debacle from the beginning. He also proceeded to try to charge an additional $100 to alter his own mistakes!!! Oh, and that included the dress straps to be shortened. I told him it was ridiculous that I had to pay for his mistakes to which he then gave me a "discount". The day I was to pick up my dress to leave for NY, it still fit weird. The hips looked like the hips of two different women. I def was about to cry. A woman (I think maybe the owner) came over and said, "you look amazing - but I can see where you're unhappy, I can see what you're talking about" I didn't leave until it was "fixed". I could not leave it there again. It was "fixed" I guess to the best of his ability after several attempts that day, so I took it home. I had no choice - I was leaving for NY in a couple of days. Wedding Day arrives... the straps that he "altered" continued to fall down. You can see me pulling them up countless times, including during the ceremony. The hips still looked uneven, which you can see in the video/pics. I had to push my mid-section out a bit to keep from feeling like the dress was falling down, because of him letting it out when he said he wouldn't, but did anyway - which then made me look heavy from the side. I truly am so saddened to post this very unpleasant review - but this experience was the worst part of my wedding planning. And at the end of the day I wanted to feel like a princess in a dress that was all my own, but instead felt like I borrowed a dress that two other people wore and had altered to their own bodies. All told, nearly almost $3,000 – I should have felt soooo much better than I did. Everything here fell short.
