Sugar Creek Country Club

I fell in love with the beautiful venue and place. However, I DON'T recommend having the wedding here - due to price not communicated well. Beware of HIDDEN COST! Everything is business to them in the end. For instance, we told them since day 1 that we want halal food. Suddenly a month before the wedding before the food tasting - they told us the price for HALAL food is more than regular food. They increase the price. Even though in restodepot meat price is the same. This sudden increase in price is out of our budget. They "helped" decrease the price to $2 - $3, but still this is after we "negotiate" with them. During the day of the event, my in law requested to have 20 extra chairs. But wasn't told about the $1000 price just by having the 20 chairs. How can you have cooked 20 people extra food during the wedding event occasion itself? A day after the wedding ends, wedding organizer emailed just my dad and my mom ( who is from oversees) - she didn't email my in laws or myself - about this $1000 price increase. Hidden price. During the wedding event, there were servers who clean the plates. They took out the plates - before the people finish eating them! As such, our guests have to grab another plate - and grab additional food - and can run out of food in the end.

My daughter's wedding was beautiful! Jennifer and the staff worked with us to have a stress-free seated dinner for 150. The food was delicious, the venue beautiful and the event staff very flexible in working within our budget.

I wish I could relieve our Wedding day over and over again! Jennifer and the entire staff at Sugar Creek totally exceeded my expectations for my wedding. The venue was beautiful, the price was affordable, the food was delicious, the servers were attentive, and my day went flawlessly! I highly recommend using Sugar Creek for all your wedding reception needs! It was an amazing day, thanks to an amazing staff and venue! I'm still smiling from ear to ear!

We just had our daughter's wedding at Sugar Creek Country Club. I cannot tell you how pleased we all were with everything! From start to finish Jennifer Jenkins was so great to work with. She is top notch, a class act! She worked hard to accommodate our needs and desired. She was helpful with information on things we did not know and always greeted us with a smile, and was patient and kind.

Absolutely impressed and incredibly thankful to Sugar Creek Country Club for helping us host our wedding reception! Our original venue was damaged during Hurricane Harvey, so we relocated to Sugar Creek Country Club. Jennifer was the best coordinator! She made the transition very smooth and was so kind the entire way. Responsive and quick with only 2 months to prepare. I like to think of her as our wedding fairy godmother! She is a true blessing. Sugar Creek Country Club was an amazingly beautiful venue with awesome views from the ballroom. We had a perfect night and are so fortunate to have worked with Jennifer and Sugar Creek Country Club. Highly recommend!

Our wedding at SCCC was amazing! The venue itself is gorgeous, and the catering coordinator, Kimberly, was amazing to work with. She answered all of our questions, helped us arrange our vendors, and was never more than a phone call away. While the country club rules were somewhat frustrating on our wedding day (our dressing rooms were fully open to club members the day of our wedding), everything came together smoothly and small problems were easy to overlook. All together, we were extremely satisfied with Sugar Creek!

I was so happy with my experience with SCCC! Katherine E. is terrific and was so helpful the entire planning process. They dealt with my indecisiveness on many occasions when it came to things like menu, etc. The day of the whole staff was wonderful, our locker room attendant was very attentive and the coordinators were wonderful ( and even helpful when I had my last minute before I walk down the aisle freak out because we couldn't find my best friend!!) The food all turned out well, I'm sad to say I didn't get to eat much and when my new husband and I took off I forget to get the leftovers they had packaged up for me. But they definitely tried to make sure I was taken care of. They handled my special last minute requests and helped keep some surprises under wrap for me. Katherine helped with my rehearsal and helped me create an easy day of timeline that flowed wonderfully. The vendors they work with were all wonderful, the linens, dj and cake all turned out great and I never had to deal with a delivery or any question other than "is there anything we can get you" on the day of. Even the vendors not in their package were handled well and without me. It was a 50% chance of rain on my wedding day and I had planned an outdoor ceremony, they waited with me watching the weather until an hour before to make sure it was safe to set up and had created a wonderful indoor back up plan just in case. It was an easy experience and I would absolutely choose this staff to work with again any day!

I would not recommend the country club for anything. They did a terrible job for my wedding and made my wedding feel like a disaster.

Let me just say OMG. Everything impressed me, this was totally worth it! We decided to hold our ceremony outside near one of the lakes on the property with a few beautiful trees near us and the view of the entire golf course as our backdrop (which was majestic, since Sugar Creek's course isn't just all turf, they have a beautiful park-like course that really is gorgeous). While we chose a location that required us and our guests to walk 5 minutes to, Sugar Creek had the option of rental golf carts that definitely came in handy, and the best part was their courtesy touch of providing our guests with a refreshments table before venturing down the green. We lucked out with the most beautiful day we could have ever asked for, but included with our outdoor ceremony was the security of having a reserved room "just in case" it decided to rain. Even though we really had out hearts set on a deeply romantic, heavily wooded park scene that proved too difficult to secure, we wouldn't have had our wedding any other way! I HIGHLY recommend this venue, no matter your budget (our wedding was a very low budget, DIY wedding :) )Thank you, Sugar Creek, for giving us such a beautiful, easy, and relaxing scene for the best day of our lives thus far!

I loved this place from the moment I saw it. Such a beautiful set up! And it was the best bang for my buck! Came with the DJ and cake! There was so much food it was crazy and the wedding coordinator Chelsea was the sweetest thing you've ever met! She totally went above and beyond for me! She was there every single step of the way. Any bride looking for a beautiful place where they won't robbed you blind with up charging this is place! S/O to Chelsea! Definitely sending her a thank you card with cash inside! !!!

This place was beautiful I had my ceremony outside and the pictures came out beautiful Beauregard its so green outside. the inside is a lovely place and the people worked with me to accomplish what I wanted.

My husband and I decided to renew our vows after 11 years of marriage and wanted a nice classy affair to celebrate. Sugar Creek provided everything that we needed for our event. The service and food were excellent! The price for everything that we received in our package was extremely budget friendly. It was a beautiful setting for our wedding and could not be more pleased with how everything turned out.

The entire SCCC crew was AMAZING to work with, practically holding my hand the entire time. Their wedding package included food, valet parking, DJ, and cake. The menu selection was better than I was expecting, and the food tasted great. Their event coordinator was always professional and answered any and all questions/concerns I had within 24 hours. They never kept me waiting. During my wedding everything went very smoothly, I could not have asked for a better reception! Thank you guys!

Had I not been the bride, I may not have noticed the imperfection. But overall it went smoothly as expected. A few things that did not go well: 1) it was not easy to get a hold of people in sugar creek before Catey took her role. Let's just say the lady helping us was not the warmest person in the world and her best way of handling client was via email even though a phone call may only take her 5 mins. 2)on the wedding day, we noticed the table arrangement was not the same as the floor plan we agreed on, which created a lot of trouble because we did not use the traditional number system for the tables. We had to ask a friend to redo/draw the floor plan as the tables were set up and provided the details that associated with the change of the table arrangement. Although things turned out ok, it created a lot of unnecessary stress on both me and my husband 3)our guests were not serve with two pieces of cake (we had two flavors), which was a great disappointment. For all the negatives, a few things we were quite pleased with SCCC - 1. food was Delicious. all my friends told us so and I agreed with them although i did not eat much. 2. It was recently renovated. and the result as shown in the new website was a big step up! 3. The package came with Cake - which was so delicious! AND DJ - which was very professional and really easy to work with. It definitely made SCCC of high value! 4. Catey is the best you can have to help you if you do not have a wedding planner like me. Although she was new in SCCC, she was so detailed and so pleasant to work with. She listens well and responses to calls and emails almost always on the same day. She was the reason I give 4 stars to Service.

Sugar Creek was awesome! It was elegant and charming. The best part is that they are willing to negotiate with you. The staff is very attentive which was exactly what I needed since I was planning a wedding from out of town. They also have beautiful spaces so that you can take pictures. Did I mention the food? It is delicious!

After some initial communication difficulty, they were easy to work with and accommodating. We had about 100 guests and had our ceremony outside and our reception in the smaller ballroom. The ceremony setting was absolutely perfect and beautiful with the setting sun. The reception space was just about right for the number of people. For the money, they include a lot in addition to dinner(cake, DJ, 3 hours of open bar, champagne toast). Overall, it was wonderful and we are glad we choose them.

Dear Brides, I will tell you the truth about this venue. First, the Good. Sugar Creek has excellent communication. I am referring to Jacqui who responds quickly to emails and tries to accomodate your every need. Now the Bad...less then one week before the ceremony, Jacqui was gone! She went on vacation and I was left with the next person, Lisa. I was terrified to work with someone new. Please don't go on vacation when you have a ceremony coming up. Now the Ugly...It rained on my ceremony and we had to go indoors. It wouldn't have been bad, but Lisa did not understand that I said, "No head table." Instead she left out some chairs from Table 1. Five of my guests had no where to sit! I was mortified. She asked me to figure it out, but at the time I couldn't think! I will say that I got a free champagne toast and she offered my guests refreshments and she let me use her office to hide my things. Thank you Lisa! I know you tried, but please listen to the brides.

Beautiful location- helpful staff ! I picked the country club as a venue because of the great package. My wedding on June 25th 2011 was beautiful and classy! Everything was laid out for us!!

I had my wedding and reception at Sugar Creek. Although there were some issues before that day due to employee turnover, the day went off without a hitch. It was my perfect dream wedding outside on the grass near the putting green/driving range. The reception was super fun and classy. The food was delicious, the drinks were strong, and all of our guests we happy. The staff the day of were amazing! I would recommend Sugar Creek to anyone looking at country clubs/golf courses. It was by far the best value for the price and I looked at pretty much every golf course in the Houston area.

Awesome. Kristina was awesome. The place looked just as I envisioned. A couple things were out of place, but nothing to fret over the place looked amazing. Wish the DJ had not stuck his logo thing in the middle of his table...that was ugly. But other than that, awesome, and beautiful and a complete blast. Kristina was great to work with.

This place is very simple and beautiful. I had an indoor wedding and the place was just what I wanted.

The staff was very helpful and helped me with everything right down to the details of what goes on which table. They were willing to set up anything I wanted and were always willing to answer questions. The food provided by the country club was delicious and presented well. The venue provided plenty of space for dinner and dancing, as well as huge locker rooms for bridal party use and a small room for kids to take a break from the party. The main reception hall has huge windows that face the golf course which made the reception sunny with a lovely background.;There were only two things that were slightly annoying at my reception. First, the staff did not send each of the tables to the buffet in the right order, which made it difficult for my husband and me to visit with our guests. The staff also didn't serve the cake the way we wanted. The cake was three different flavors (each layer was different). Guests were only offered one flavor (whichever layer they were on) when they went to get cake. We had planned to serve all the layers at once and off the guests a choice.

The staff took time to understand our needs and customized our event to our specifications. They really took time to work with our budget and the overall feel that we wanted for our event.

We loved the view over the golf course. It was near the chuch and a lot of hotels. The event coordinator was great.

It was a spacious ballroom with smaller rooms to rent to spread out the activities. The food was great and the wait staff were efficient.;The events director did not offer more than the minimum information at any time during the planning. She did not respond to emails for several days. If I didn't have a wedding coordinator I would not have had a successful reception based on the help from the event coordinator.

I loved that we (my husband and I) were able to take pictures on the golf course- we have beautiful pictures to show for it!;During my 6 month engagement I had THREE wedding coordinators at Sugar Creek and the last one started one week BEFORE my wedding and never called to tell me that she took the other girl's place- I found out when I called to finalize a few things!
