We LOVE Kristen & her team!! She is an outstanding wedding planner! We used her service for partial planning for our destination wedding in Napa in May 2023 and are so thrilled. She is organized, positive, resourceful, caring, and was incredibly supportive on the big day. Made our big day stress-free and memorable. Highly recommend!
I simply cannot recommend Kristen & her team at Sugar Rush Events enough. I initially reached out to Kristen about 13 months out from my wedding date, and from there she made the entire process SO smooth. I have so many friends who got married around the same time as me who would complain about vendors, finalizing details, etc. and I could never contribute to the conversation because Kristen made everything so easy for me.
Here are a few key things (among many) that I really valued in working with Kristen: - She was EXTREMELY responsive via email. I never had to follow up with her, she was so on top of everything. - She was very kind anytime I had questions, even the smallest of things that felt silly to ask, she made me feel so comfortable - She really listened to me and what I wanted, unlike other planners that I had initial conversations with, Kristen really just wanted to make the wedding day exactly what I wanted it to be without pushing any other agendas. She balanced giving her expert advice and letting us do things the way we wanted to do them so seamlessly - She was an actual angel on the wedding day. I had the most relaxed wedding weekend because I was in such good hands, I never heard a peep from any vendors because Kristen had everything under control. My wedding party went out of their way after the wedding to comment to us about how kind and wonderful Kristen was to them on the wedding day - we've all been in a wedding before where there is someone super stressed out and snippy in charge and that totally changes the energy, but Kristen could not have been kinder to everyone and it really set the tone for the day! - Just overall, the wedding turned out perfectly. We got so many compliments on all of the little details and how much attention to detail went into the day and making the overall event as fun and enjoyable as possible not only for the guests, but for me and my husband too. I'll miss working with Kristen so much, and will be highly encouraging my siblings and friends to work with her when it's time for their special days!
We hired Kristen for our 2019 wedding at Viansa Sonoma Winery. Based on our needs, we went with a day/month-of planning package with event design. While we were only contracted for 3 scheduled meetings together, working with Kristen meant having a trusted professional to bounce ideas off of over email or phone during the planning process.
What we feel makes Kristen a fantastic wedding coordinator/planner is that she not only has a good eye for design and incorporating a couple's individual style into a wedding vision, but she is also incredibly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, trustworthy, thoughtful, and personable.
Kristen never once made us feel silly or self-conscious about all the questions we had, and she was remarkably patient when we were indecisive and couldn't nail down the direction we wanted to go in. She was practical and gave great suggestions on which design details to commit to and leave behind if we felt like we were straying too far from our budget, and ultimately, we reached a design that we still swoon about. Prior to the wedding, she got in contact with every vendor and created detailed plans/timelines/layouts for our wedding day and venue to make sure everyone was on the same page. Having all the details/specifics on paper and transparently communicated with us and our vendors put us at complete ease!
What really made me come back and write a review over 2 years after our wedding is all the details and stories that have surfaced from friends and family to this day about everything Kristen and the Sugar Rush team were doing behind the scenes. The rehearsal was conducted so smoothly. We covered details like which way we should stand for the best light at the time of our ceremony, giving the BMs and GMs visual markers in the ceremony space so they would know where to walk and where to stand, touching base with each speaker and confirming whether they wanted a mic or a lapel, when they would get tapped to mic-up on the day of the wedding and who they should look for if they have questions, where the wedding party could leave their belongings during the ceremony and throughout the night - the list goes on and on! Things you wouldn't even think to consider, Kristen and her team already had covered. I learned Kristen and the Sugar Rush team were always available to grab and hold onto sunglasses and personal items for our Moms and wedding party and always made sure personal belongings made it back to the right person. When my husband accidentally spilled gatorade on his white dress shirt, Kristen was there with a Shout wipe to save the day. There were a few super minor hiccups, but Kristen and her team quickly remedied the situation and I never even heard about it until months later! We got more wind than we were expecting on our wedding day, and Kristen quickly pivoted some of our design elements to ensure things wouldn't be blowing over during the ceremony and cocktail hour. She had great instincts and judgment and was so on top of everything!
The Sugar Rush team was simultaneously so present, but so invisible throughout the night. I am so thankful to Kristen and her team for their services, both leading up to our wedding, and on the day of. For any couple on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator/planner - DO IT! I would choose Kristen and Sugar Rush Events again without a question!
Kristen is not only amazing and fun to work with she's the exact type of person you want in charge of your wedding - incredibly detail oriented, patient, creative, and a great listener. Kristen helped us with the space design, the lighting, the floral design, and coordination. She has great taste and she delivered a super stylish and incredibly well-run event. We had so many of our friends and family say how smoothly everything was run. She has amazing vendors she recommended, from the DJ to the florist and she was so organized and on-top of making sure I always was on top of my tasks. She was so flexible and accommodated and coordinated last minute additions like a mariachi band as well as additional transportation. Not only is she great at managing all the moving parts, she is also just so enjoyable to be around and work with! Thank you so much Kristen for everything.
Kristen is by far the best decision you will make during the wedding planning process! She is AMAZING! I cannot say enough amazing things about our experience with Kristen. My husband and I recently got married at Cornerstone and we chose the Sugar Rush month of wedding package + design. It was the best money I've ever spent. Kristen is an absolute pro.. she made us feel so confident throughout the whole process and goes above and beyond the call of duty!! Even our wedding party was raving about how wonderful and on top of it she is. Search no further, book Kristen!!
While we haven't had our wedding yet, I want to review Kristen now for all those brides looking to book a wedding planner in 2018 and encourage them to hire Sugar Rush Events. I wish I could give 10 stars to Kristen Jensen--she is truly an amazing person and so much more than just a wedding planner. Our wedding was scheduled for Oct. 14 in Sonoma, and my fiance and I woke up the Monday before our wedding to the news about the devastating fires in the North Bay. Up until it was no longer possible, Kristen worked tirelessly on our behalf to reach out to our vendors and find alternative venue options--basically doing everything in her power to try to make our wedding happen. She checked in with us constantly, sending sweet texts and staying SO positive and encouraging during what was one of the hardest few days we've ever had. I can't even count the number of times we texted/spoke on the phone, and I know there is no way we would have gotten through the week without her.
Once we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding, Kristen sprung immediately into action, contacting all our vendors with a new potential date and taking over all communication with them. Within three days, we had a new wedding date with all of our vendors except one on board. She was so reassuring that we could still have the day of dreams despite this setback, and she even sent us the most beautiful bouquet of flowers the day following our cancellation. She found us a new make-up artist and hairstylist (and was able to secure these at a discount) and also helped us in rescheduling (at a discount) with our welcome party venue. It was truly unbelievable the amount of work she put into this and what she was able to pull off.
I want to note that we did not hire Kristen as a full-time coordinator, and rather hired her for Day-of as well as a la carte design services. She did not have to spend so much time doing all this on our behalf, and we are so grateful to her that she did. This is of course all in addition to the wonderful planning services she provided up until this point, as well as the design details she dreamed up for our wedding--while those have yet to be executed, we have no doubt that with Kristen by our side our new wedding day will be everything we had imagined and more!
We hired Kristen with the Sugar Rush team and she was amazing. We decided to do a day of wedding coordinating experience, having almost two years to plan a wedding I figure I had plenty of time to plan things. With this package you meet twice before the wedding, a rehearsal the day before and day of with an assistant. Even though we didn't have her throughout the entire process she was open to every phone call, email and text and got back to us in a timely manner. She was spectacular leading up to the wedding, making sure I am not dealing with my vendor issues she wanted to "phase me out" her words not mine. This was great, I had an issue with my florist and she took care of everything, making sure I didn't have to. The day of the wedding was even better. She took such great care of my bridesmaids and groomsmen and always having a beautiful smile on her face and lipstick to touch me up. I saw her chatting with my guest and always keeping 1 eye on me and my husband. If there were any problems durning the wedding I didn't know about them, because she either already had a plan to tackle it or solved it herself. I can't say enough great things about her and her team, wonderful people, calming demeanor on the day of, and so organized!!! Everything went off without a hitch. I would hire her again in a heart beat. I recommend her to any bride who needs a helping hand through the process. She is worth every penny!!!!
Hiring Kristen of Sugar Rush Events for our day-of-coordination was one of the best decisions we made and we cannot recommend her enough. This review is a bit long, but it’s long because I feel that strongly about recommending Sugar Rush. Kristen seriously went above and beyond and worked with us along the way, not just on the day of our wedding, to make it go smoothly and feel special. I’m type-A and have planned many events, so it was of utmost importance that we hire someone I could totally trust to get things done. Kristen fit the bill – she is a seasoned professional, who was on top of everything – but she was also immediately approachable, super friendly and energetic and in the crazy world of wedding excess, the pricing was reasonable. Once you sign with Sugar Rush, you also get their list of preferred vendors, many of whom we hired for our other wedding needs. With that in mind, we recommend that before you do anything else, you hire your coordinator/planner first.
The communication was great – her replies were always prompt and comprehensive. She offered her professional opinion to many questions we had and kept our taste and budget in mind. For instance, she helped us get more bang for our back, advising us on creative ways to re-use décor throughout the day (i.e. reuse bridesmaids flowers for barn décor) and specifically helped me narrow down core ideas from the never-ending inspiration I found on Pinterest . She kept us on track and reached out to us, especially as it got closer to our wedding day. Kristen made us feel like we were always her top priority, although in reality, she’s juggling a plethora of clients. She was there for our rehearsal the day before, which she again handled like a pro. We had a gigantic bridal party that was can be a handful (hyper/excited in a good way) and she was able to make it fun, while simultaneously get everyone in line. I also threw her a curve ball the day before the wedding – we decided to do a seating chart with recycled wine bottles that would hold a few blooms in each bottle, which we brought to the venue location. This was last-minute and I hadn’t updated my florist that I needed more flowers. I showed her my inspiration photo and she handled the rest – reached out to the florist and then set up the display to mirror the vision was executed exactly as I had shown her.
On the actual day of our wedding, Kristen brought along her colleague Jovi, who was also absolutely great and pleasant to work with. They kept us on our timeline, without being pushy. So many of our friends and family remarked how great they were and it’s true – they had this great disposition about them. They felt more like old friends, and not some help for hire (and while I’m glad to be done planning our wedding, I miss their presence!). The two ladies gave us one of the best gifts, which was the gift to totally let loose and enjoy our day without worrying about anything. Everything went off without a hitch and it’s because Sugar Rush was in charge. Thank you Kristen and Jovi – you guys ROCK!
We used Sugar Rush for both our designer and day of coordination and they were amazing through the whole process. Kristen designed a beautiful layout for us and even at the last minute when it rained was able to execute an beautiful cocktail hour. She personally called me to let me know it was all under control and I really appreciated it. Jovi handled our day of coordination and our rehearsal and she was also amazing. Even though I know there were a TON of details she was handling, she never let me see any of the work in the background. I didn't have to worry about a thing that day and it was worth every penny. I just got to sit back and enjoy the day and it was the best!
**OUTSTANDING PLANNING AND EXECUTION**
My husband and I feel so lucky to have been able to work with such wonderful, creative, and experienced professional to make our wedding extra smooth and beautiful. Kristen Jensen of Sugar Rush Events was able to see our style and vision and created a wedding design that was exactly what we wanted and more. She nailed the look, the atmosphere, literally everything. I felt a bit all over the place when we started planning our wedding, since I have eclectic taste in terms of style, and Kristen was able to ask all the right questions to bring everything together in a cohesive fashion that was gorgeous and comfortable for me and my husband, and all of our guests. (Including the kids! The kids tables she designed were a huge hit for our many very young guests.)
We hired a day-of wedding planner through Sugar Rush Events also. Audrey was friendly and knowledgeable through every step of the process, which was very reassuring from our end. She and Kristen handled so much communication with our vendors regarding contracts and wedding day logistics--a huge relief!
The week before our wedding showed rain in the forecast. I was tremendously disappointed, but Kristen was able to come up with three different inclement weather back-up plans that were not going to cost us any extra money. (I really did not want to a) get married in a tent or b) pay to rent a tent.)
Sugar Rush treated us so well, we would almost get married again for another chance to work together! My husband and I highly recommend Sugar Rush Events--you won't find better service anywhere else.
Kristen Jensen and the Sugar Rush team are one of my favorite planners to work with. As a caterer in wine country we get to work at many beautiful venues however they can be logistically challenging. This is where hiring a professional wedding planner makes the most sense. Kristen has amazing insight into the venues that she works at and is able to help our entire team execute a seamless wedding or event perfectly.
Her timelines are amazing! She details not only the order of events for the day but also lists in detail, decor and logistic notes which is so helpful to help us know where everything needs to be and at what time. The layouts that she provides are not only to scale but are beautiful to look at. She obviously loves what she does and it is an absolute pleasure working with her and her team. Our shared goal is that our couples enjoy themselves on their special day and that all of their guests have a fun and memorable wedding.
I hope that this review is helpful in choosing your wedding planner and I wholeheartedly recommend Kristen and Sugar Rush Events.

Really liked Kristen as a person, and think she has a good sense of style and really wanted to get to know us as a couple. That said, there were many things that had to be repeated often - about what we wanted in terms of layout and flow - and she bit off way more than could chew. Even though we booked her a year and a half in advance, she booked a wedding on the day before, AND the day after ours. This left her frazzled and forgetful of our details. She said hi to me in the morning of our wedding, and I didn't see her again. I wish I had snuck out during the morning to make sure things were set up in the way we had agreed....
For example, we arranged and paid for a beautiful wedding arch that we wanted to get married under. But when we walked down the aisle, we saw that the table we were using for our wine ceremony was smack dab in the middle of our wedding arch. It was awkward, and looked like the bottle and 2 glasses of wine were getting hitched, not us! We also had reserved a lapel mic for our officiant per Kristen's direction. Instead, there was a giant wired microphone in front of us for the entire ceremony. Our caterer ran out of plates for our buffet too. One of the guests told me and I wanted to let Kristen know, but didn't see her at all. I had told her previously we were going to have an MP3 with music on it for dinner ( a recommendation from her) but I had to remind her on the spot when she asked the band to play some of their music during dinner.
There were other little things too: we had asked for an extra table so we'd have a few extra seats for our guests (since we had no assigned seating), but there was no extra table, only 2-3 open seats! Our guest book was also returned dirty like it had been on the ground, and I had to search for 30 minutes to find my purse in a backroom during the reception.
The kicker, was that at the end of the night.... My parents and aunt wanted to take the earlier bus home (we had 2 reserved). The rest of the guests wanted to stay as long as possible. 2 cases of leftover beer had been put onto their bus for the after party - but my parents weren't going to the afterparty, so they asked Kristen to put it on the other bus instead so it would go home with us (my mom can't walk super well and they wouldn't be able to carry it).
Instead of listening to the request, Kristen put the beer into our car. When I went to grab it at the end of the night- she told me that my parents didn't want us to have it and gave me quite the attitude about it. Keep in mind that I am a 33 year old adult, and know for a fact my parents wouldn't and didn't say that. I confirmed this with them in the morning. Fast forward me to shuttling wet beers from the car to the bus, and then scrambling to gather things from the bridal cottage. Oh yeah and some of the box broke in the process, causing me to have bleeding feet.
Finally, when we inquired about something that might have been left in the cottage the next day, Kristen avoided my phone call had a very cranky response via text.
In the end, I think we overpaid for the services we did get, and were we very disappointed in the details that were missed.
If you're asking yourself, do I need a coordinator? The answer is yes. I'm one of the most organized project managers in the world and I still needed her. She made the wedding day flow with ease and every day up to that. You don't want to deal with the crap that comes up on the day of the wedding. You want someone who knows the industry so you can bounce questions off of. And if you want someone who can design a masterpiece of a wedding accustomed to your personal flair and budget, it's her. Two regrets people have are 1) I didn't take enough time off before the wedding and 2) I didn't have a coordinator. So now that's discussed, let's talk about Kristen.
Oh my good Lord, can you say bride whisperer??? That would be the start to describe how wonderful Kristen Jensen is. First of all, she makes you feel like you are literally her only client. How in the world she does this, I have no idea. I literally felt like she was my responsive best friend and I was her most clingy, needy friend who she still loved and took care of. After the wedding was over, I felt like I lost a friend. Seriously. I'm not someone who just falls in love with everyone they meet. But Kristen, amazing.
I interviewed at least a dozen coordinators. I wanted a coordinator who knows the venue (Cornerstone Sonoma) and who knows design (featured all over her portfolio). She was the best option. She isn't the cheapest option, but she is the best.
Everyone thinks she is amazing. Anyone you talk to they'll say right away "Yeah, Kristen is the best." Even people who never worked with her before on my team said nothing but praises. You don't ask for the praises. It's the first thing out of their mouth. Kristen is associated with the best. Why is she the best? She's on top of everything. She's organized. She has an amazing team and personality. She makes you feel important. She looks out for you. She helps you out. She is well worth every damn penny you'd pay for her. I must have sent her 6,000 emails over the year I worked with her. She responded to EVERY SINGLE EMAIL with a positive outlook. She also knows how to redirect a bad idea of yours without you feeling poorly. If you're lucky enough to book her, do it. The woman was even willing to help me pee and dress me afterward.
My only regret of using Sugar Rush is now I won't talk to her as often and that makes me sad. Whatever you're doing, stop reading reviews and book Kristen. Best decision of my wedding by far. What are you doing? See if she's available, already!!!

Kristen Jensen is a wonderful coordinator. We gave her a loose idea of the theme we wanted for our wedding and she turned it into something extraordinary. Kristen really understood our personalities and sentiments and worked with us to create a unified vision. From narrowing down our vast collection of images to tips on where to focus our energy, she was always there. One of the things we really appreciated about Kristen was how organized she is. She kept us on schedule and was flexible when our lives became busy. She was extremely attentive to our families and worked with them and Park Avenue to incorporate some of our families' culinary traditions. We also really appreciated how on the nose she was with our budget. She was always upfront about the costs of items but also did a great job of working in the elements that meant the most to us. On the day of our wedding, she and her team did a wonderful job of coordinating with our photographers and family members and was very supportive when the nerves kicked in. Before and after the ceremony she and her team made sure the bridal party was taken care of and properly fed. It was a really nice touch that we were able to have samplings from the cocktail hour while we were being photographed. During and after the wedding we received tons of compliments from our guests who couldn't believe how beautiful and unique our wedding was. Many said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Kristen is an excellent coordinator and a wonderful spirit. It was a joy working with her and her team and she made our wedding day something we will never forget!
My mantra for picking vendors was to find people who were upbeat, easy to deal with, flexible, and creative -- Kristen met all of these descriptors to a T!
I hired Kristen for both wedding design and month-of coordination services.
Design Services: The primary reason we hired Kristen was for her design aesthetic. I had a slightly unique wedding theme in mind (1920s/30s Art Deco) and Kristen rose to the occasion. She offered up a variety of options and helped guide me away from lots of "safe" choices. Throughout, she was respectful of our budget and worked hard to match my high end taste with a modest budget. She helped with everything from colors and linens to center pieces to ceremony set up. The result was phenomenal! Classic, sophisticated, and unique, incorporating 1920s elements without looking like a theme party.
Month-of coordination services: Kristen and her team were absolutely invaluable!
From creating the timeline for the wedding weekend (no small task!) and managing all of the various vendors, Kristen saved me so much stress! In particular, I was working with a venue who's event manager was very non-responsive and disorganized. Kristen managed the event manager beautifully, keeping me stress-free and ensuring that all of our many decisions and details would come together as planned.
On the day of our wedding, Kristen and her assistant Olivia were flawless! From managing all the events (starting the ceremony, wedding party entrances, toasts, etc) to corralling family members for pictures to digging up a pair of flip flops for me to wear, they were organized, accommodating, and never without a smile on their face!
All in all, working with Kristen and the Sugar Rush team was a wonderful experience. I would fully recommend them to anyone planning a wedding.
I do not have enough kind words to say about Kristen and Sugar Rush Events. From the first conversation with her I knew that she needed to be my wedding coordinator! Kristen is so great at clicking with her clients. She really takes the time and effort to get to know you and your style. She also has this wonderfully calming and positive vibe to her, which is so helpful when you're getting down to the wire and about to lose your bridal mind!
Kristen answered every question I had promptly and honestly. She also provided excellent decor suggestions when I was drawing a blank. My wedding day went off perfectly and I didn't have a worry in the world. Myself, the wedding party, and our parents were all able to completely relax and just enjoy the day.
One more thing I love about Kristen and Sugar Rush, is that other wedding vendors LOVE working with her! Upon finding out who my coordinator was, almost all my vendors had worked with Kristen before and had amazing things to say about her as well.

Kristen Jensen from Sugar Rush Events is by far the BEST. EVER. I feel so fortunate to have been able to work with someone who designed a beautiful and original wedding. Kristen listened to our ideas, and came up with a wedding that blew everyone away. She wasn't afraid to push me to think outside the box, but still remain in my comfort zone. I greatly appreciated her ability to take my ideas, but make them feel like I wasn't just copying a wedding I had seen, but was creating a design that would be unique to us. Walking out and seeing the tables, the decor, the flowers, and the way that everything came together just as she promised was one of my favorite moments of the day.
Kristen always is available to listen, and make you feel at ease. I was never stressed when planning the wedding because I had Kristen. She is the best support team you could ask for.
Suggestion: Add on the Design (if not more). Most sites will require a Day-of-Coordinator, but I suggest you add on the design component...take full advantage of all the skills and ideas that Kristen has to offer.
The only mistake you could make when planning your wedding is not hiring Kristen.
Kristen did an amazing job with my May 2014 wedding. We were so impressed with how smoothly things went under her care. My bridal party even noted how well she ran things. She is so easy to work with, and made the whole planning process as well as the actual execution of the wedding run seamlessly. She was incredibly helpful in helping pick high-quality vendors (I was in NY while my wedding was in CA). She knew exactly what would work for our event and what we shouldn't waste our time or money with. I couldn't have done it without her! She is the best!

Everything wAs handled to our utmost satisfaction which allowed my daughter and our family to enjoy a beautiful stress-free wedding.
I received several comments from guests on how friendly she and the staff were even though they were extremely busy. She took the time to chat with guests when engaged.
She handled all vendors with efficiency and diplomacy and answered many frantic emails from mydaughter leading up to the event.. Always calm and reassuring!

Kristen helped to make sure the entire day went smoothly so that my husband and I could sit back, relax, and enjoy our wedding! My fiance and I met Kristen while touring venues. We peeked into a drab hotel ballroom and our jaws dropped: the room had been transformed into a gorgeous, amazing space for the wedding that night. We were shocked that a room so plain could be transformed so perfectly and had to meet the person responsible! At this point, we didn't know if we'd hire a coordinator but I tucked her card away just in case.
We ended up selecting a different venue, but I kept thinking about how Kristen had made the reception venue at the hotel so magical and contacted to see if she was free for our wedding. We were in luck! I'm about mid-way through the planning process and have Kristen and Sugar Rush to thank for having a stress-free experience so far.
Kristen is reliable, always responsive to any questions (even if they're silly/minor!) and most of all, she is unbelievably creative. I am constantly being blown away by the ideas she comes up with. It's so fun to have someone so dedicated and excited to bring your visions to life. I'd recommend Kristen hands down to anyone considering hiring a planner. I cannot say enough amazing things about Kristen Jensen! Her vision and creativity are inspiring and her positive outlook and enthusiasm are contagious. She is a creative genius who listens to your ideas and brings them to life in ways that are better than you can imagine. When my husband and I decided to get married this year, we knew it was going to be a destination wedding. We live far from our families and most of our oldest and dearest friends, so everyone was going to have to travel. As an event designer, Kristen Jensen pulls together unique and cohesive designs to match the style and personality of the bride. During our first event design meeting, I brought a binder filled with inspirations representing all aspects of my dream day. I wondered how she would work with my incredibly varied inspirations and color combinations. Kristen took her time, reviewing each image and idea in an effort to isolate the particular aspects that I liked. Form there, she magically created a custom design just for me.
Kristen is a true professional. At the same time, she forms personal connections with her clients. I teach fourth grade in the Bay Area. If you dream of having an amazing wedding, Sugar Rush Events with Kristen Jensen is the only way to go! On a logistical side Kristen is well organized, filled with great ideas, focuses on your vision and has an amazing vendor list. She is very good at responding to emails within 24 hours and is very flexible. But Sugar Rush Events is way more than that. She helped me plan my 2Jun2012 wedding in Napa, CA while I lived in Montana. That can’t be an easy task, but she pulled it off without a hitch. I have no complaints and the wedding was absolutely gorgeous. Kristen is very well connected in the bridal world ; if you do not have time to interview wedding cakes, DJs, Florists, hair & makeup artists, rental agencies, caterers etc. don’t fret because her list of vendors are amazing and you could not go wrong from picking any off that list. She goes above and beyond planning your wedding and coordinating the day of the wedding. I could not have had such a great wedding without her. The one thing that my husband and I learned from the whole wedding planning process is that it is very important to establish trust and a comfortable working relationship with whomever you decide to sign a contract with.
On our first meet and greet with Kristen my husband and I knew we were going to hire Sugar Rush Events. It was very easy to talk to Kristen and our personalities really clicked! Her fresh, happy, and energetic personality made us really excited to begin the whole planning process! At first we were apprehensive to start because of all the horror stories of how stressful planning a wedding can be, but Kristen really made us feel at ease.
Her professionalism and experience really shined through when we had our meetings about the different components, ideas, budget, and overall feel of our wedding were discussed. Since Kristen was a simple text, email, or a phone call away her guidance throughout the whole process kept my husband and I on task.
On our first real meeting about wedding design Kristen was well prepared by proposing a look to us based on our personalities and some other ideas of what we previously talked about. We absolutely loved it! She really captured who we were as a couple! Since I tend to get a little indecisive at times it was awesome that she narrowed down our options and had the right idea of what we were looking for.
Kristen was right there every step of the way. Even a few weeks before the wedding some changes needed to be made to fit our budget she worked tirelessly to keep the look we wanted but lower the price significantly.
On our wedding weekend in Calistoga, Kristen and Sugar Rush Events continued with their high quality of service. It began with an easy, well timed, and informative rehearsal, which I commend Kristen for being able to handle my crazy family who was partially buzzed because we went wine tasting beforehand.
The day of the wedding I kept getting asked by my bridesmaids as well as our hairstylists if I was okay. The reason why they asked was not due to me looking stressed out but because I looked too relaxed. Everyone was surprised that I was so calm and peaceful. I owe that all to Kristen and her making me feel like I had no worries in the world. Everything was well planned for and I knew that our wedding was in good hands!
The whole day either Kristen or her assistant constantly checked up on me and my husband. They made sure to get us anything that we wanted or needed! All the months of planning became a reality and we couldn't have asked for a more spectacular wedding!
With Kristen's help we were able to pull off a long awaited (my husband and I have been together for 13 years) wedding by our family and friends! We truly believe that we did everything we wanted to do and with Kristen's help we were able to experience the whole night! Sometimes you hear from couples that everything went by too fast and they were unable to enjoy everything but my husband and I can happily say that we remember it all! We truly had the time of our lives!

Sugar Rush (Kristen) was listed as one of the preferred vendors at my 8/31/12 Sonoma wedding at Cornerstone. I called all the planners recommended and once I talked to Kristen, I knew she was the perfect planner for us!! She offers many services from full coordination to day-of coordination. Being that we were on a budget we hired her for Day-Of planning.
Kristen was amazing from the moment we started our wedding planning. I am a bride who had no vision or idea of what I wanted (what does decor mean?). Kristen was always energetic and full of ideas (from decor, to flowers, to escort cards--you name it!). I'm sure she has numerous clients, but I never had any trouble getting a hold of her and she always made time to check in on me and encourage me when I started to get stressed. Kristen was more than a planner, but also a wonderful friend.
Some wedding planners I called would only let you call them for a set number of hours leading up to the wedding. I didn't want to have to worry about "being on the clock" so I was ecstatic when Kristen said we would have unlimited access to her through phone/email. Kristen always had great/creative ideas and had wonderful recommendations for our other vendors (that were all spectacular as well). Kristen has a wonderful eye and is truly talented and her love for her work is evident.
On the day of the wedding she ran everything like clockwork. Many of our guests complemented Kristen's energy and friendliness. I never for a moment felt worried about ANYTHING and was able to simply enjoy the day with my friends and family. Kristen checked in with us all night to make sure we were happy and didn't need anything. Our wedding day was the best day of my life and I have no doubt that Kristen was a key component to making the day perfect! At the end of the day all our things were packed up in our cars and all we had to do was say goodbye to our guests and drive away!

I hired Kristen for month-of coordination and event/floral design for my Sonoma wedding next year. So far, she has been extremely professional and puts my mind at ease during what can sometimes be a pretty stressful process. She responds to all of my phone calls and emails within 24 hours and checks in when she hasn't heard from me in awhile. This is practically unheard of with wedding vendors! She is always patient and upbeat, even when I'm venting or discussing concerns (not related to her). My fiance and I like that she's down-to-earth and looks for ways to add personal touches to our wedding. I knew I chose the right planner when my fiance, who hasn't enjoyed meeting with most wedding vendors so far, said that he liked her after our first meeting. I hired Kristen and her assistant Emily for month of wedding planning services, in addition to the design meeting (which was amazing!) Emily will be my day of planner, but Kristen has also worked with me on every little detail from day one. In our design meeting I told her my vision and she pointed out that my floral contract didn't match what I was describing so she worked with my florist directly to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. She was the perfect balance of helping me bring my vision to life but also being honest if she thought something wouldn't work or look good. Kristen responds to my e-mails and phone calls (and there are lots of them) so quickly and never makes me feel like I'm bothering her. I have sent her e-mails before at 11 o'clock at night when a question pops into my head and have responses from her when I wake up at 6:30am. She is always in a good mood and is so calming and reassuring - anything I have a question about or am worried about she figures out a solution right away. I am very OCD and have to have every little detail planned out and Kristen is always one step ahead of me. I am getting married at Ruby Hill and after about 9 months of planning, the coordinator there left. She was supposed to run the rehearsal so I called Kristen right away and she immediately offered to be there to run it herself. I can't say enough good things about sugarrush - hiring them was worth every penny!
I started working with Kristen in July planning for my wedding which is next Oct (2012). She has been completely there for me to answer any questions I have about multiple aspects of the wedding as well as a great sounding board for bouncing ideas off of. I was a very hands-on bride and cared about all the details from cake design to homemade programs. One of the many things that I liked about Sugar Rush Events is how customizable the service is. There are different packages and a la carte meetings you can select from. And since there were a lot of tasks I wanted to handle on my own, I hired Kristen for day of coordination and for event design (since I had no clue about table linens, gobos, chivari chairs, etc).
From the moment my husband and I met Kristen, we liked her right away. Even with all her experience, she was so personable and down to earth. I felt like we would have received the same warm treatment whether we had a 10 thousand dollar budget or 100 thousand.
From day one to the final hours, she was so on top of everything. E-mails were returned promptly, she worked well with all our other wedding vendors, her day-of timeline was so organized, she scored discounts for us with the rentals, etc. She even picked us up from the BART station for a design meeting!
I felt so calm the day of my wedding because I had so much trust in Kristen to take care of everything. Before the big day, everybody's advice to me was that inevitably something will go wrong but to just let it go and enjoy the day. In our case, I think everything went perfect...and if it didn't, I couldn't tell because Kristen took care of it. She is the best!!!

I decided to hire a wedding coordinator when I realized that my big day was only six months away, and I had absolutely nothing planned except for the venue and date! I am so, so thankful that I found Kristen Jensen at Sugar Rush! I knew immediately that it was a great match. I will admit that I am kind of a crazy perfectionist, and Kristen's amazing organization and quick responses to everything have put me at ease. Plus, she is incredibly fun! After our first meeting, I was able to relax and focus on the excitement of bringing to life my dream wedding, rather than the stress of booking vendors. Kristen is AMAZING...so amazing that this is the second time my mom has used Kristen for a wedding. My mom used Kristen for my brother's wedding 3 years ago, and loved her so much that we are using her for my wedding.
Kristen is great at listening to what you want to do and then finding ways to make your dreams and ideas come true. She also gives you great ideas and has a list of recommended vendors who do a great job. She has been my sounding board since day one and it helps me figure out what I want to do. Despite being on a very limited budget, Kristen Jensen helped to make our wedding absolutely amazing! We used her services primarily to give us advice on vendors & such and to do the set-up for our reception at Servino Ristorante. The site looked gorgeous and the site staff mentioned how easy Kristen was to work with. It was so nice to be able to enjoy our day and know the behind-the-scenes work was being expertly taken care of!
