Sugar Sand Sound

Lyle did a wonderful job as our wedding DJ. From the first initial phone call months before to the actual day we knew he was going to be great. He is very professional and very thorough with his questionnaire. He has a great understanding of all aspects of a wedding. He went above and beyond when we (last minute) needed to find a keyboard to rent. He got us in contact with a vendor within minutes and we had a keyboard secured for our ceremony music. We rented a photo booth (GIFFY) through Sugar Sand Sound and it was a hit! Everybody had fun with the props and the photos were great. Lyle was very attentive and made sure we had a signal to indicate our song change during our special dances. He really worked with us and all the vendors to make sure things ran smoothly. We highly recommend Sugar Sand Sound for your event!

Sean F. was our DJ for our wedding at Boyne Mountain. He was great and communicative throughout the whole day. There were a couple moments of slip ups and we had some sound issues due to the wind, but other than that, everything was great. The dance floor was packed all night, and that is exactly what we wanted out of our wedding!

Lyle was very friendly but unfortunately we didn't have the best experience. We put together a whole timeline, and not many of the songs were played correctly. The wrong song was played when I walked down the aisle, when the bridal party exited the ceremony and our closing song was neglected to be played. The music didn't fit well with age group of the guest. He seemed a little bit too laid back, and didn't take our request very serious.

Lyle knows how to keep the party going and is a super nice guy but we met with him a week before our wedding to make sure everything was set, make sure he had our timeline (which he did), and went over all the little details to make sure the day went by flawlessly. On the day of our wedding he decided to perch himself on top of a stage where he was in every picture that was taken of the entire bridal party after he told us he would set up in a spot where he wouldn’t be in our pictures. The timeline my husband and I put together had everything on it to make the night go by seamlessly and he lost the page that had all the reception events in detail. When we came to make our grand entrance for our reception at 5:30, we had to wait an extra 10 minutes after our set time to enter because he decided that he needed to run out to his car at 5:30 when he was supposed to be announcing us to come in. For the rest of the night I had to have my maid of honor rewrite our timeline for him to make him stop trying to cut out everything we had planned. For our shoe game, there was never a discussion where he told us that he was going to ask the questions so I had my maid of honor write the questions and our dj insisted that he ask his questions instead with some of hers mixed in and you could blatantly tell which questions came from his generic questions and which ones came from my maid of honor. To end the night, my mom has to go tell him twice to play the last song and after the second time he told her that I had never given him a last song to play so he refused to announce it when our conversation beforehand was that I did not care what he played for the last song just as long as it was announced at 10:45 so we could do our sparkler exit and get on our limo before our time ran out. All in all, the service we received was completely unprofessional and added a lot more stress to my day then I needed.
