Honestly THEE BEST wedding food I have ever had. They were extremely personable, catering to all good sensitivity and allergies. It gave me great peace of mind being a GF bride. The tasting in itself was delicious, so we knew we wanted Sugarellas for our big day. We also rented their “little Ellie” for late night milkshakes and sliders, and they were a huge hit. Best decision we made!!

Kim and her crew are perfectionists. They served my daughter’s wedding in May of 2022. The food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend SugerElla’s!

I cannot recommend SugarElla's catering enough. My husband Jake and I hired them for our wedding and from start to finish had the most wonderful experience with them. Kim Putney, the mastermind behind SugarElla's, was easy to work with, flexible, kind, and extremely professional. They scheduled us for a tasting right away and made us samples of everything we were interested in, and even a few things that we hadn't requested that Kim thought we might like. We ended up going with their sun-dried tomato stuffed chicken and their zucchini ravioli for our entrees. Both were incredible and we got compliments on the food all night. Also, in a world where vegetarian wedding options can be pretty sad at times, the zucchini ravioli was the star of the show not only for the vegetarians but for almost every guest who tried it. Additionally, the SugarElla's buffet comes with servers, which added an element of classiness that can sometimes be missing from self-serve buffets. Kim is also an expert baker. Jake and I decided to forgo a cake and frankly Kim's deserts were better than any Costco sheet cake we could have served. She gave us an awesome spread and we had people on the dance floor just trying to make room for more of her awesome bites. Kim also provided a late night snack for us, which came in clutch as our reception was one heck of a party. Overall, the food was amazing and we could not have been more pleased. Additionally, Kim was extremely hands-on all night, even going around to each table to check on our guests. We had so many people tell us how much they appreciated that level of service. Kim and SugarElla's helped make our night magical. Also, for brides on a budget, I would recommend SugarElla's. Kim worked with us and within our constraints to find a menu that suited our wants. If you’re even considering SugarElla’s, do yourself a favor and book them. From the very beginning, Kim was an absolute dream to work with. She created a personalized menu for us that had something for everyone, even our vegan friends. She made our late night Queso dreams come to life and was honestly just so easy to work with. Day of, she made sure all the food was to temp as well as making sure everything was running smoothly. She checked in with our guests, is just so approachable, and really made our day special. People who don’t even typically enjoy rice and beans told us, “WOW. They’re DELICIOUS.” All that to say, Kim is the real deal and I can’t imagine what our day would’ve been like without her and her team. People are still telling us how good the wedding food was. *Get the chicken enchiladas, friends. You’ll love them.* Thanks Kim! We can’t wait to use her again for future events.

From my first phone conversation with Kim, I knew that we had to have her as our caterer. I gave her a very brief overview of our vision for our meal, breakfast for dinner with the main entree being my husband’s favorite, chicken and waffles. Where other caterers immediately turned down the idea as something that couldn’t be done, Kim ran with it! Within that very quick conversation, she had brought our idea to life with her own creative ideas. This catering service will not bring you the standard, bland steak and fish combo. At our tasting, every item she brought out was more delicious than the last, especially the goat cheese truffles! Not only was the food of high quality and delicious, Kim and her team went above and beyond by decorating their spaces with decor that aligned with our color scheme and vision. We began the evening with a 6ft charcuterie table that was almost too pretty to eat from, and polished the night off with a late night snack of pretzels out of the adorable little camper that Sugarellas provides as an add-on. Kim was also very accommodating for our guests with food sensitivities. We received so many compliments from our guests about the quality and creativity of the menu items. Overall, we loved Kim’s down-to-earth approach and creative energy - she really was a breath of fresh air and made the planning process so much easier. I would recommend Kim and her team to anyone that needed a caterer for any event, small or large!

SugarElla’s exceeded all of our expectations! I want to give a huge thank you to Kim and Carly and the whole crew! You made our Notre Dame graduation party for our daughter and her friends so special! Every detail was thoughtful and perfectly executed. The food and execution was fabulous, and many guests made a point to tell us how fantastic all of the food was. We are so grateful to you for all of your hard work and going the extra mile to brainstorm and execute small, special details. Also, doing the trailer was a super special detail that made all of the difference in transforming our back yard. You made doing this party from 2,000 miles away comfortable and easy. We will absolutely be using you again soon!!!

Kim and her team were absolutely awesome to work with. They are very detail oriented and creative which meshed with me so well. Due to Covid we had to significantly downsize our wedding. Kim compromised with us on head count and helped out by making some of our meals into brunch items we could serve for our out of town guests brunch the following day. Everyone loved their food and the blueberry french toast bake was the hit at brunch. Thanks again Kim and your team!!

Oh my! SugarElla's catered an Open House retirement party for a dear Cressy & Everett colleague at The Brick last week in January 2020, in South Bend that I coordinated for about 150 people. The visual design work to set a theme and mood, the amazing selection and display of fresh and delicious food, and the high-end service and professionalism were worth every penny. Fantastic communication, organization and execution during the event. I recommend SugarElla's with no hesitation and will be so thrilled to work with the team again in the future. SugarElla's catered my husband's office Christmas party in our home - fabulous food, beautiful presentation, and a clean kitchen when the event was over! Did I mention the food was amazing? Can't wait to have an excuse to have them back again!

Our friends and family are still commenting on the amazing dinner and hospitable staff. The brisket was incredibly flavorful, complimented by beautifully arranged table and serving settings. They went above and beyond taking care of our guests and bridal party. Everything was simply perfect. All we had to do was enjoy the evening. The food was amazing! Kim was on top of it, and really is a one-stop shop. She was so friendly and helpful, and I knew that we would end up with great food. We also had to make a pretty huge change at the last minute due to weather and Kim and her team played it cool. It didn't even seem to phase them!

“Very Disappointing” – We hired SugarElla’s to cater our daughter’s wedding. We hired them to provide, lunch for the bridal party, and for the reception, to serve appetizer, salad, sides and the wedding cake. We already had the meat covered. Food was good and the communication up to the wedding was as expected. The day of the wedding was a shock. To start, they informed us they would be there by 11am so the bridal party had their lunch prior to pictures. They arrived 2 and a half hours late. The lunch was eventually given to the girls when they were to be involved in pictures. Biggest sell for me was they promised there will be no worry once they arrive. I honestly felt everything was under control UNTIL they arrived. They did not deliver their promises. They promised to have food set up and ready. Bread/butter at every table as well as salads ready for our guests. Since they were late, they did not allot enough time to set up so everything was thrown on to a table for our guests to retrieve. Including water. Some of our guests were setting up and handling what we paid SugarElla’s to handle and the response we received was “any help is appreciated”. We were lied to by the owner and extremely disrespected throughout the entire night. She told us to handle the final payment on the day of the wedding. That was fine had they arrived on time. Instead, she chose to interrupt up us more than 3 times during the reception and in front of our family and guests demanding payment and slapping her contract at us. We asked for any leftover food to be boxed, they said they would provide the boxes to handle this and instead they just threw everything in the trash. They said they would cut and serve the cake. They cut the cake and placed pieces outside! The bride and groom didn’t even get a piece of their cake. It was all wasted. We did all we could to avoid a scene. We did not want anyone to know the issues we were having to deal with. Unfortunately, the exchange in doing that was to miss out on the enjoyment of all the planning and hard work we put together for our daughter’s wedding. I have tried discussing my concerns and have been bullied and badgered in return. Out of a $6,800 bill, we were told they will send us a refund of $149 (for the lunch charge) and it has been over a month since the wedding and still nothing. So, we will completely end this experience on a broken promise, a lie and full regret of hiring SugarElla’s.

Kim and her team were wonderful from the start, taking the ideas we had and bringing the tiniest of details to life. Shes so organized with her team making the whole wedding day go by so smoothly not missing a beat. She even made us our own app plate at the head table so we could even enjoy them after our photos. Every guest of ours wanted more after they were done eating it was wonderful! Would do it all over again with Kim if we could. Thank you for a great wedding day ♡

Kim and her team at SugarElla's produced what guests called the best wedding food they have ever had. Multiple guests commented to me about how delicious everything was from an amazing cheese and bread apps spread to the dinner buffet. They even made my husband and I our own sampling plate of the apps so we could enjoy them during the reception after the apps table was demolished by our guests. All the way through the planning process she was responsive to our numerous emails and answered all of our questions promptly. Bottom line, we highly recommend their services, we couldn't have asked for more.

SugarElla's is absolutely amazing. They catered the Holy Cross College tailgate for 200 people. They are professional, kind, and fun. Plus their food is amazing. I couldn't be more pleased. All of our guests raved about the food and their staff.

SugarElla's set up a wedding reception at the Potawatomi Conservatories on a very hot day. It was beautiful and and the servers were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and received multiple compliments from start to finish. On top of that they came through with whatever was needed when the hosts unexpectedly spent most of the event at the ER. Thanks to SugarElla's the party came off without a hitch! I highly recommend this caterer!

Wow! Had an amazing experience with Sugarella’s! First, extremely easy to work with. Never had to worry about anything during my wedding day or leading up to it. Food was incredible. They also set up my venue and was SO beautiful. Perfectly envisioned and executed. Lastly, the cake. Words cannot express how perfect and DELICIOUS that cake was. Sugarellas catered our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. The food and service were outstanding. Guests raved about it. So, following that Sugarellas catered our daughter's wedding reception. It was wonderful again. They are good people, easy to work with, and would use their services again in a heartbeat.

SugarElla's catered my wedding and did an amazing job! The appetizers, dinner, and everything else was absolutely delicious. They were a treat to work with and had lots of great ideas. One thing our guests really loved was the outdoor food truck SugarElla's set up offering mini cupcakes and mini milkshakes for dessert! It really made the evening special. I would recommend SugarElla's to any bride looking for a wedding caterer.

Kim and her staff were wonderful in the tasting & selection of food for our daughter's wedding. The food & service were excellent. The trailer was an added bonus serving mini-milk shakes with cupcakes for dessert and sliders for the 10:30 pm snack. Tastey food, great service for a reasonable price. We are so thankful to have found sugar Ella’s for our wedding day! We are a vegan couple and we wanted all our guest to experience how good vegan food can be. Kim went above and beyond! The food was amazing!!

We used SugarEllas for a handful of items for our wedding. - They catered our rehearsal dinner with Indian food. The food was delicious, and Kim handled all setup so that it looked beautiful and even took care of things like providing high-end disposable plates/cutlery, takeaway boxes, and post-dinner storage. The whole dinner was an absolute hit and Kim both had the dinner fabulous but was really easy to work with and on top of that was cost effective! - Kim catered a small meal for the band and other vendors prior to the reception. The vendors commented how the food was great, and she worked to make this very cost-effective. Just another example of how easy she was to work with. - They also provided a mini-pie bar for the reception. This was an absolute smash, the pies disappeared immediately and everyone raved about them! And to top it off, the bride and groom didn't get any (because of the swarm that made them disappear), and after the fact, Kim made a batch just for us and we were able to pick them up and have our own little dessert celebration a few weeks afterwards! These were some of the most delicious pies we have ever tasted (my favorite: pecan chocolate, my wife's favorite: apple). We would absolutely recommend these as dessert for weddings or any event! On the whole, I can't recommend Kim and SugarEllas strongly enough and would definitely use them to cater events in the future!

Amazing food! Seriously I would recommend Sugarellas in a heartbeat! Very accommodating. Kim and her team go the extra mile! The food is great and the presentation is flawless. My family and I were very pleased!
