Summit Manor was the perfect wedding venue and we would highly recommend it. I have no doubt it was the perfect space for our special day. We were first struck by Summit Manor beca...use of its historic charm that felt warm, inviting, and festive, and not over the top exuberant. As a couple who were planning our wedding out of state, we thought the space was beautiful without tons of centerpieces, flowers and decorations. We used very little decorations and it was stunning by itself as a space.
David, the manager and our Venue Coordinator was wonderful and very easy going to work with. He is a veteran in the wedding industry, and more like a day-of coordinator, in terms of his sense of direction and guidance. David was very professional. No question was too small for him and he was not afraid to give his advice and suggestions. However, he was also open to our changes and preferences when it came to timing / order of events, etc. He also reminded us that things were flexible and open to change, which kept us at ease. He made us feel at home in the Manor and that the space was ours. The staff at the Manor were fantastic and very professional, from Danny the doorman all the way to the servers!
The in-house catering was great! Again, perfect for out-of-state couples like us. We weren’t able to try the food beforehand so I was a little worried about how good the food would actually be. I was impressed by the food and thought it punched above the average wedding dinner. I was also curious how the buffet-style service would flow. It was great to see it go seamlessly and to see friends and family mingle together without the stiffness of table placements.
We loved all the little rooms and spaces of the Summit Manor. It was fun to see our guests gravitate to different spaces based on moods and feelings (louder space next to the dance floor, the quiet library, or the pub door stairs). It felt like a classy 1920s house party which was lovely! If folks didn’t want to dance or watch people dance, they could move to a different part of the house. However, it is easy to miss a favorite dance song, if you are in a different part of the house where you might not be able to hear the music!
Overall, Summit Manor was a wonderful venue for our fall, vintage wedding. It has charm, professional staff willing to go the extra mile, and great food and space. Summit Manor provided the atmosphere for a wedding that is warm, festive and joyous and we are so grateful.
