Sun in My Belly catered our wedding, handled the bars and cocktails, and provided our wedding cake, and all was executed wonderfully! We had a great experience with Megan from start to finish. She is organized, responsive, and eager to work with her clients to achieve their goals! Our venue was a bit tricky in handling hot food onsite, but since they had worked it before, they were pros and everything went off without a hitch. Each step of the catering process (from receiving an initial quote, to discussing station options and coming up with a tasting menu, to finalizing our specialty cocktails and making sure day-of details were nailed down) was so easy and fun thanks to Megan and her team. We loved the options SIMB provided and the quality was fantastic. We got so many compliments on our wedding food and particularly on our specialty cocktails -- they handled pre-batching those in the days before the wedding so they were ready as soon as cocktail hour started. Catering is one of if not the biggest line item in your wedding budget so it's a big decision and one you don't want to regret! We definitely recommend SIMB!
Sun in my Belly is the BEST. We had a great experience working with Megan, Max and the entire SIMB team. Not only will your food be amazing (seriously - our guests are still talking about it), but the service and level of detail is unmatched. They went above and beyond and made everything so seamless. I can't recommend them enough.
SIMB catered our wedding and honestly they did so much more than that! Megan and Hilary helped coordinate every detail, from specific food for guests with allergies, table linens and utensils, working with our other vendors (florists, music, photography), to create a seamless evening for us! We so appreciate all their time and effort!
We used Sun in My Belly to cater our wedding at The Wimbish House on April 15th. From initial contact, it felt like we were in good, knowledgeable, experienced hands, which was one relief from the stress of planning our wedding. The food at the tasting was delicious, and we knew our guests would love it. We chose to go with two tapas stations with shrimp and grits, haricots verts, caesar salad, panzanella salad, wild mushroom ravioli, bourbon + pecan grilled chicken, mac n cheese, and coca cola glazed ham. They were able to accommodate a few guests who are vegan (and one with a soy allergy) with a rigatoni lentil bolognese and vegan panzanella salad. It meant a lot to us that they were able to make these modifications. We also had the fried chicken endive cups, carolina pulled pork on corn muffins, and fried green tomatoes (*drool*) as our hors d'oeuvres. For dessert, we had a special 24" wide cake from Cake by Anna and mini red velvet and mini smores cupcakes. (Thanks to Esther and team for cutting that cake!) Everything went absolutely flawlessly and multiple times our guests told us how much they enjoyed the food and the wedding. Thanks again to the SIMB team for all their hard work. We'll be recommending them to all our friends and family and dining at the restaurant again soon.
We had the pleasure of working with Sun in My Belly for our wedding reception…and wow, it was amazing. First up, their communication and professionalism make you feel at ease. Max, Hilary, Megan, and Michelle make a great team for your wedding. The tasting was hands down our favorite wedding experience. If you do not taste the baby bliss mashed potatoes with artichoke, you are doing it wrong. They are the best thing on this planet. Fast forward to the wedding, the SIMB team knocked it out of the park. They are so attentive and knowledgeable on how to run an efficient event. Our guests are still raving about the food…and it has been over a week since our wedding! I cannot recommend them enough. Please book SIMB for your wedding, you will not regret it!
We were so happy to have had the amazing service of Sun in My Belly for our Magnolia Hall wedding! After 2 reschedules from the pandemic, we finally celebrated with them this fall in our dream wedding. Since we live in Connecticut, everyone was so accommodating with scheduling for tastings and planning meetings, as well as keeping in contact over phone and email. Hilary in particular was wonderful, not only for her professionalism and phenomenal talent at her job, but also for being so genuine and understanding when we didn't know what was going on. The day of the wedding, the staff were awesome and improvised an additional vegan meal which we didn't account for (oops!) We highly recommend the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and the lemon and lavender mini pies for dessert -- but you really can't go wrong with Sun in My Belly!
If I could give 10 stars I would. Sun in My Belly catered my wedding this year and they did a PHENOMENAL job.
First - the planning and service leading up to the event was outstanding. Their team was always extremeley responsive and attentive and provide a lot of great insight to help you plan a wonderful meal for your event. Hilary and Michelle were especially awesome. Their tasting process is wonderful and was extremely enjoyable - they're really helpful with helping you find the right dish for you/your event.
At the event - the food was just as good as the tastings. I had guests say that it was some of the best catered food they'd ever had. In addition, numerous guests commented on how outstanding their waiters and waitresses were.
If you're looking for a trusted and experienced restaurant for catering for a large event across metro-Atlanta, I highly recommend Sun in My Belly. They will not disappoint!
My wife and I got married on Labor Day weekend in Highlands, NC, and we had chosen Sun in My Belly as our caterer. We were incredibly impressed and our guests raved about the food.
From the get-go (during the initial tasting), my wife and I felt very much listened to and cared for by Megan and her team at Sun in My Belly. As we tasted different menu items, Megan listened to our preferences and was instrumental in helping us think through how we could arrange our menu.
My wife and I decided on a station-style menu, with many different options, which worked out fantastically during the wedding. Sun in My Belly was professional, prompt, and very well-prepared for the reception – it was clear that their serving team took great care in providing the best service and experience. Megan was there throughout the event, ensuring that my wife, myself, and our guests were taken care for the entire evening.
I can't express enough what an asset Sun In My Belly was to our wedding. From being flexible about our preferred cuisine (Pakistani) to my fiancée's allergies (many), they were so flexible in the kitchen. We loved the team at SIMB so much that we opted to have our rehearsal dinner at their restaurant and contracted one of their team members to be our amazing day-of coordinator. Our wedding just could not have been as wonderful if it weren't from SIMB. I can't recommend them (especially Megan!) enough.
Our venue had a 'preferred caterer list' which led us to start panicking a bit as we were not thoroughly impressed with the first two caterers that we tried. However, when checking the list again, we realized that SIMB was a preferred caterer so we excitedly set up a tasting with them. From our first tasting, we were so impressed by their attention to detail and thorough knowledge of wedding coordination/planning. All of the food that we tried was delicious which made it really hard to pick our menu! We also decided to use them for their 'day of' coordination services which really equated to several planning meetings and back-and-forth texts/emails for several weeks prior to our big day. All of the SIMB staff that we worked with were excellent (Cheree, Hilary and Max). Several of my family members remarked on the fantastic job that the dream team -Max and Hilary- did the day of the wedding. Whenever one of us needed something, they were right there with the solution/answer!
Definitely recommend SIMB for both their catering and coordination services, you will not be disappointed!
We would definitely recommend SIMB for your wedding caterer. We were impressed with their tasting and appreciated the foodie and artistic aspect of their food. They were very accommodating in being creative with changing small parts of their dishes to suit our preferences. They delivered on the day of at our reception at the Dekalb History Center and some of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Definitely recommend the miso glazed salmon, mushroom ravioli, Parmesan mashed potatoes, assortment of roasted veggies (as many as possible, colors were beautiful) and pulled pork corn muffin apps. We wish they would streamline the communication before the wedding to one person. We had different discussions with many different people on their staff before the big day and everyone wasn’t always communicating with each other, so honestly the process was a little stressful for us. But the food was amazing on our big day, which was a priority for our wedding, and we heard great things about their staff, especially the fun bartenders. We would highly recommend them!
As a planner, it is such a good feeling to know that you have a great vendor team working with you. Sun In My Belly was the caterer for our outdoor, wedding at Cator Woolford Gardens, this past weekend. When the forecast said that it was going to rain on wedding day, we had to completely modify the floor plan in less than 24 hours. The SIMB team was so flexible with us and they executed everything perfectly. All of the staff members were friendly and professional, and the food was outstanding! - Blush Pink Weddings
I’ve waited a couple of months before writing this review so it could be more factual and less emotional; it’s still fresh, however.
I wish I could say that Sun In My Belly provided us with an amazing and delicious catering experience, but the truth is that we were sorely disappointed. Our first meetings and tastings with SIMB were phenomenal--they were flexible, accommodating and seemed committed to creating a menu that reflected our cultures while still fitting our budget. However, about five months before the wedding, we stopped receiving any communication from them. Initially, I chalked it up to a busy wedding season, but as time passed and we still received no word from them confirming our menu, design session, or answering our questions, I started to get worried. Calls and emails went unanswered for over two months, with no explanation. When we finally did get in touch with them, we were told that there were staffing issues and that everything was on course. Yet even after our design meeting, we had difficulty getting in touch with the team to confirm the walkthrough date and to make last minute tweaks to the menu. When a team member finally answered and confirmed that they would make it to the walkthrough, they arrived late and with a total lack of familiarity with us or with our event, leading to confusion as to what would be provided on our wedding day (which was at this point two weeks away). On our actual wedding day, staff set up the tables incorrectly and our coordinator had to arrange for a last minute switch. The food that was served was not the food we selected during our tastings--instead of authentic Spanish paella served in Spanish-style paella pans, we got more of a jambalaya-type rice served in a chafing dish. The sides were nothing like what we had tasted and despite several meetings discussing family food allergy concerns, the passed appetizers were not modified to meet the requirements. Had we not asked wait staff, a family member might have had an allergic reaction. After allotting most of our budget to what we were led to believe would be high quality food, we were disappointed in the lack of quality and professionalism at Sun In My Belly.
Sun in My Belly did such an amazing job catering my wedding!! I am such a big foodie and it was very important to me that we not only have pretty dishes, but that we had yummy ones that everybody would love. Leading up to everything, Marissa, Michelle, and Max were always super responsive and helpful. When we met with Marissa and Michelle, both were SO personable and were so accommodating when I had specific things I did and did not want, and even let me create a vegan entree for my guests (that everybody said was SO good!!). Everything came out perfectly and we had so many compliments!! I highly recommend SIMB! :)
There are not enough compliments to give Sun In My Belly! We worked primarily with Megan and she was genuine, kind, and incredibly accommodating throughout our entire planning process. This was our top choice of caterers from the get-go, but we were initially worried that we wouldn't be able to afford them... however they worked with us and our budget and made it happen! The food was fresh and delicious and our guests were raving about it all night long. Our vegan/vegetarian/and nut-allergic guests were also so impressed that they had made accommodations for them- and they didn't have to go hungry just because of their restrictions! Sun In My Belly showed us the world of difference there is between event catering and a restaurant that offers catering. This will definitely be where we go to celebrate all of our anniversaries! Seriously, I could gush about them for days.
I honestly don't even know where to begin. Just pick them to cater your wedding - you won't regret it! Not only were they sooo accommodating (from letting us do tastings on the weekend since we lived in NY, to allowing multiple tastings so we could be sure, to working with us to develop a menu that catered to allergies), but they were also a genuine pleasure to work with. Months later, we are literally still getting comments on how delicious and unique the food at our wedding was. I have to admit that i was nervous to pick the truffle and brown butter mushroom ravioli because mushrooms aren't always a crowd pleaser - but people went nuts for it!! They also agreed to serve the Pad Thai as a late night snack, which was a fun add for our guests as the night started to wrap up. We could not have been more delighted with the entire experience. Highly recommend!
We had our reception at Sun In My Belly, and they did our flowers including my bouquet, too. Food was delicious, service was amazing, restaurant looked beautiful, communication was good, flowers were perfect.
When we had our tasting with Sun in my Belly, we both knew instantly we loved their food and wanted to hire them! We signed them the day of our tasting. They were very organized, responsive and professional. They knew our venue better than the venue manager did! Our food was phenomenal. I've had several wedding guests tell me it was the best wedding food they ever had. I highly recommend them! I’m still craving their wild mushroom ravioli + truffle mushrooms + brown butter sauce.
After posting a negative review about my catering and coordination package with Sun in My Belly for my August 2018 wedding, I was contacted by the owner and offered an apology and partial refund.
The restaurant is great and luckily so was the food itself at the wedding. The waitstaff and bar tenders were delightful. Unfortunately the coordinator/manager was uncommunicative and did not follow through with most of tasks outlined in our contract. It caused great stress and I would not suggest hiring them for any event coordination.
All I can say is yum. The food was amazing and working with SIMB was easy, professional, and delicious. They worked with us to create our perfect wedding menu, despite my parents being foodies and me being a vegetarian; they offered great recommendations and helped us come up with a menu that made everyone at the wedding swoon. If one more person asks me for the mushroom ravioli recipe from the wedding I am going to have to email them and get them to share. Their menu kicked every other caterer's in Atlanta off the table in the heartbeat.
Sun in my Belly catered our wedding in May and I cannot say enough great things about Max and his team! Max was super professional and organized through the whole process, and very accommodating. The food was phenomenal, several guests have told me the best wedding food they've ever had. They also helped with so much more than the food, they have a lot of experience working in Atlanta since they've been around so long and understood my venue well which was very helpful.
Awesome every step of the process and in tune with the event and made our dinner a spectacular meal with friends and family. Thank you!
Sun in my Belly is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. They are great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Some standout dishes for me include the wedge salad, fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, flank steak and the fried chicken. The restaurant has a great wine and beer selection, and it's such a comfortable and friendly atmosphere to enjoy a delicious meal.
For catering in Atlanta, Sun in my Belly can't be beat. My husband and I had no doubts who we wanted to cater our wedding in Atlanta September 2016. To be diligent, we did try one other big caterer in town, and there was absolutely no competition. Not only can SIMB not be beat when it comes to quality of the food, but their service is unsurpassed. They were incredible every step of the way, helping us plan the menu (customizing dishes based on our tastes) and answering every question we had (and we had many, many, many questions!). They helped bring our event together by bringing up and helping solve some of the small details that we had not yet thought about. Their catering staff day-of were great, with many guests complimenting the friendliness and effectiveness of the staff. If you are planning a wedding or any other event in Atlanta, Sun in my Belly catering is an absolute must!
In a word – OUTSTANDING. After being provided with the names of 3 Atlanta caterers by the owner of our wedding venue, we set about reaching out for quotes. It seemed not one of them wanted our business as responses were slow or non-existent. So, we began our own search for a caterer. Sun In My Belly (SIMB) responded to us within 24 hours of initial contact with a great deal of information. It was clear from the start that these folks were organized, detailed and eager to please. While competitors wanted to charge us up to $150 for a tasting, SIMB gave us not one, but TWO tastings at no charge and ensured we got to taste every item in which we expressed interest. The Executive Chef, Alison, oversaw our tastings herself and chatted with us about every detail of our event. She offered advice and assisted us with rental tables that worked better than what our venue offered. When we couldn’t decide on just 3 hors-d'oeuvres, Alison made it easy for us by offering to do a split portion on one of our choices to allow us to serve everything we wanted. She went above and beyond to accommodate us in making our menu exactly what we wanted. The food is absolutely delicious and was so good we had trouble choosing! Everything we tasted was flavorful and sometimes even unexpected – who knew cauliflower and cherries worked together?!
Several months before the wedding date, Alison met us at our venue, requiring a 90-minute drive from Atlanta. She personally helped us determine our seating arrangement and assessed the space to determine the best options for every catering detail. On wedding day, the SIMB team were absolute pros. They got in and set up without a hitch. They made sure we had cocktails and a plate of hors-d'oeuvres waiting on us after the ceremony. As we made our way to the reception, we encountered Alison who had held a restless baby (one of the nieces) during the ceremony so that a sister-in-law could attend the ceremony (can you say above and beyond???)! The bartender was busy mixing our signature cocktail to perfection and when it ran out, she improvised by offering white wine spritzers. Those serving food were on top of every detail… even noticing a few folks that were stuck outside managing children and dogs and delivering them plates of food. These folks are absolute pros! We told Alison that we had one guest with a latex allergy and she purchased special non-latex gloves for her team to ensure no issues. They provided our vegetarian guests with an amazing option and made extra to be sure anyone who wanted a taste got it! I heard so many raving reviews from our guests about the food – people were absolutely blown away by the quality of both the food and service (The presentation was also flawless). We loved bragging about SIMB and made sure to let all of our local guests know where to find them in Kirkwood! We just can’t say enough about how impressed we are with SIMB. We will enjoy dining at the restaurant in the future and doing so will always remind us of our wonderful day. We highly recommend SIMB for any catering need and particularly for high stakes events like weddings where every detail must be flawless! Thank you Alison and team for helping make our special day perfect!
The culinary and events team at Sun in my Belly exceeded our expectations throughout every touch point they handled leading up to and during our wedding day. From the time of our initial tasting to our final vendor walkthrough, owner & executive director Max LeBlanc made us feel super comfortable and taken care of. Max was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, organized and attentive throughout our partnership. Because our wedding was taking place at a venue that had never hosted a wedding before, we faced some challenges throughout the planning process. Max offered up great ideas and solutions – we found workarounds that all of our partners were able to collaborate together on.
We initially engaged SIMB for our cocktail hour and seated dinner catering, but we ended up also using their resources for bar & beverage service and furniture / table / linen rentals. Their offerings from a capabilities stand point is truly impressive - it made decision making towards the end of the process really convenient and simple. Max and his team worked closely with us to customize our guest experience. They helped create an evening that was so special, authentic and magical. Our friends and family still talk about how memorable the food and service was. We feel so fortunate to have been able to experience all the amazing things the SIMB culinary and events team has to offer. Thank you SIMB for making our day and night so delicious and perfect!
We had a courthouse wedding with a reception for 60 guests at SIMB. Excellent food was a top priority for us and they truly nailed it! The compliments are still rolling in - the shrimp and grits station was an unbelievable hit with our Yankee relatives. :)
It really was a great place for us and the whole event was just what we were aiming for. To be direct, they didn't really offer a lot in the arena of decor (any additional lights, votives, bud vases were not offered) - only the very basics were provided. It was not really enough to create a festive atmosphere. I wasn't always clear on what we needed to bring in and what was provided, which was a little worrisome at times. But they also did not have any off the wall charges for flatware, etc. as I had seen in another review.
What they did have was sufficient and they were flexible with our florist getting the space to look snazzy without a ton of additional money spent. [BTW, Faith Flowers in VA Highland is awesome!] It ended up being a very cool back drop with the extra flourishes from our florist. The space itself generally has a nice rustic chic thing working for it. Plus, they let us bring in our booze, and provided mixers and such without charging us an arm and leg. That was a huge help for our budget.
All of the SIMB staff were FANTASTIC - the service was really great, our guests were well looked after. They were timely and well organized.
In organizing, we sometimes we communicated with Max and sometimes Emily. Then as the day approached someone else became our POC. There was a moment when we felt a little shuffled. But our affair was very simple and we didn't need much hand holding. At the end of the day, they brought everything together just beautifullyl!
Bottom line, we were very pleased with with the job they did and just ecstatic about the food. The pricing was fair and the service was great! Many thanks, SIMB!
In the interest of full disclosure, my husband and I were already leaning towards SIMB when we began the wedding planning process. We live within walking distance of their Kirkwood restaurant, and it's become a favorite weekend brunch location of ours over the years. We loved the idea that we could incorporate a part of our neighborhood and our everyday lives into our wedding celebration. And we knew their food was delicious. As a matter of fact, the food was so delicious - and we were so stuffed and happy after our tasting with Max - that choosing a menu was one of the toughest, but most fun parts of the planning process! And it was all a tremendous success - we received so many complements from our guests on the delicious food offered at our reception!
However, in addition to being great caterers who produce great food, Max and his team worked with us to help bring the event within our budget restrictions, while still making sure we were able to keep those little unique touches (passed cotton candy after the cake was cut, and some insanely tasty meatball sliders at the end of the night) that really made the celebration feel like "us". Max was easily reachable and always had an answer when questions popped up. They even packed up some "to go" boxes for us to enjoy at the hotel after the party wrapped up.
If you have a chance to book these guys for your wedding, DO IT! And if you're lucky enough to have their restaurant nearby, it's such a great treat to be able to drop in on the restaurant and relive a little piece of your big day! Thanks SIMB!
We chose Sun In My Belly to cater our wedding and are very glad we did! Their food is original and delicious, and they try to use local and seasonal products whenever possible. The chef, Alison, is not only an amazing cook but was absolutely a joy to work with. She was open to our ideas and flexible with the menu. She helped us to plan an incredible rhurbarb-based signature cocktail. She was very organized but laid back, and she relieved any anxieties we had about the wedding day events. In addition to the food, Sun In My Belly was a great resource for other vendors, and helped us to get tables, chairs. lighting etc. On the actual day, the spread was beautiful. The food was easily the best wedding food we've ever eaten. We went with a southern theme, so got the fried chicken with several fresh vegetable sides. Everything was wonderfully prepared and we got tons of compliments on the food. We have no regrets and are very happy to recommend them to anyone looking to host an event in the Atlanta area!
My experience with SIMB was amazing. They were responsive to the (probably) hundreds of e-mails I sent while planning our wedding! I never had to stress or worry that things wouldn't be taken care of because SIMB is thorough and so collaborative when planning. I met with my coordinator/florist and someone from the catering team and we talked through my ideas and they provided amazing suggestions! Use their expertise and trust them! Everything came together beautifully the day of! The food was amazing, the signature cocktail was a hit, and everything flowed wonderfully. We received compliments from practically everyone on the food and display! "Best wedding food I've ever had!" and "I want to eat that mac 'n cheese everyday of my life!" were thrown around repeatedly! I couldn't have been more pleased! You're going to pay a little more than your run of the mill caterer but it was 100% worth every penny!
SIMB provided a full staff for our wedding, that started out with a 115 person guest list and we ended up with 170+ wedding guests. They were able to accommodate every wish I had, and worked closely with our wedding planner to set up our venue which is completely blank. My only qualm is that it never seemed a personable affair working with them, which was different than all my other vendors. That being said, I believe SIMB is the best catering and planning company OTP and they are experience professionals and can execute any theme you want.
We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Sun In My Belly.
Even though our wedding was out of state (Western NC) and the venue staff made things challenging (no kitchen use), Sun In My Belly rose to the occasion. They were professional, extremely kind to us and above all delicious!
We are almost at our one-year anniversary and friends and family members still tell us how good the food was and ask for recommendations. Our guests have told us it was, “the best wedding food” they’d ever had and that our wedding was one of their, “top three.”
Sun In My Belly truly made the day special for us in so many ways. We are lifelong fans and lucky to live close enough for dinner on a regular basis.
So many brides say they didn't get to eat on their wedding day, but I did and it was amazing. Sun in My Belly provided the perfect menu for me and my husband. We wanted our wedding to be very relaxed (like us) and wanted more of a tapas style / buffet style menu, not a huge sit down affair. They listened to what we wanted and stayed within our budget without skimping on the good stuff: corn muffins with pulled pork, meatball sliders, tomato basil soup served with grilled cheese bites (is your mouth watering? Cause mine is!) and that was just our passed hors d'oeuvres! We'll definitely be spending our anniversary at the SIMB cafe, chowing down on SIMB mac n' cheese and reminiscing on our beautiful wedding day!
OMG! When I was still living in Atlanta, I regularly had brunch at Sun in My Belly. When they started doing dinner service, I jumped at the chance to eat there then too. IT quickly became my go to spot.
When I realized they did catering, it was a no-brainer. We only tried two caterers and SIMB was heads and shoulders above the others. Just phenomenal!
They always responded quickly to my many emails and calls. They provided linens and full wait staff on the day of too!
Everyone there and the service throughout the entire process was just phenomenal. Nothing short of amazing.
I've been to a lot of weddings where the food was only ho-hum. Well, I run a food blog so I couldn't have that happen at my wedding! The one thing I wanted to hear from guests (aside from the usual, "you look beautiful") was "this food is amazing!" And guess what? I did. A LOT!
The most common thing I heard that night and continue to hear today was "That was the best wedding food I've ever had!"
TO give you an idea of the food:
We had fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese, chicken satay skewers, pulled pork on corn muffins to be passed during cocktail hour.
We had an apple and pancetta salad that was delish and refreshing. (I would also recommend the caprese! It's the best one I've ever had!)
And the entrees were chicken and shrimp jambalaya or filet. Both of which were cooked to perfection! I'm drooling just thinking about it.
(One regret was that we left for our honeymoon immediately the next morning, so we didn't get to enjoy the leftovers!)
GREAT FOOD! Beware of the rentals --- very expensive and not itemized so unsure of what you are actually paying for. Did have a few issues with communication and meetings -- not having the correct fabrics, missing a meetings, etc. BUT on the day of, it all came through perfectly!
My husband and i renewed our vows and decided to make it special. We weren't sure if it was necessary to spend $$$ on the food but went and ahead and decided that Max seemed so amazing and willing to work with us and our budget that we couldn't resist. I'm so glad we went with Sun In My Belly! Our friends and family are STILL talking about the food and the service from Max and his crew! They were the hit of the party! The food was amazing, Max is awesome and his crew works like crazy! We had the party in our home and his staff cleaned everything spotless after they were done. I was speechless after they left my kitchen looking and smelling better than it had before they came. I am more than pleased.
Sun in My Belly makes great food! If you want to treat your guests with unique flavors and break away from the typical wedding food, then this is the caterer to use. The staff is very experienced and efficient.
Wow. That's really the perfect place to start. Sun in My Belly (SIMB) was one of the best decisions we made for our reception. I had been to SIMB years ago for brunch and it made a lasting impression. When I got engaged, I knew I wanted to talk to them about catering the wedding. Their approach to food is exactly what I wanted to showcase at my wedding. They feature locally grown, natural foods in a way that is not overwhelming. They offer simple, yet delicious and elegant food. Nothing is too over the top or too complicated - they keep their dishes simple but amazingly tasty. People came up to us at the wedding, congratulated us and immediately started raving about the food! For a bunch of Atlanta foodies (my husband and I), we KNEW we had to have good food at our wedding...and SIMB allowed us to do so! AND it was noticed by all our guests. Not only was their food great, but their event planning expertise was truly helpful. SIMB provided the rentals for my event as well as helped to develop the overall room layout. They helped us decide how much liquor to buy, where tables should be located, where the band should be, and the list goes on and on and on. They are MUCH more than caterers....they are event specialists. I was so happy with their service, their expertise and their food! Their excellence lead to our very successful event.
Everything was spectacular and the food and presentation were lovely. Max was wonderful in the planning and was easy to work with.
We knew we didn't want the regular sit down, three course meal. Where people either chose chicken, steak, or fish. So we decided on tapas. Everyone who came to my wedding said our food was the best they had ever had at a wedding! We had a Mexican tapas station, a seafood station, and an asian station. EVERYONE had something to choose from! People are still raving about how amazing the food was! Thanks Sun in My Belly!
