Professional, creative, environmentally conscious, flexible, small business & flower farm, fair pricing….Working with Sunborn Gardens was an absolute dream! We had our initial consultation with Lisa in March 2021, via Zoom, for our November 2022 wedding. That first meeting, and some inspiration pictures from Pinterest, was all Lisa needed to seemingly jump inside our imaginations and bring our dreams to life. Lisa & her team took our request of adding fungi to the florals and ran with it in the best ways possible. The woodland floral installations they created for us were stunning works of art. The bouquets, boutonnieres, table centerpieces, my hairpiece—EVERYTHING—was spot-on, exactly what we envisioned for our ideal wedding. Thank you so much, Sunborn Gardens! 10/10 recommend to everyone!

Stunning, seasonal wedding flowers Sunborn Gardens did a fantastic job curating a colorful and seasonal selection for our 4th of July weekend wedding flowers. Our theme was iconic 1940 vintage and key colors were white, black and gold; we wanted an array colors to mimic fireworks. Lily (?) did a wonderful job listening to any particularly flowers we did or didn’t want, and the size of bouquets and boutonnières we wanted. She also created a mood board as a guide for how our flowers would come to life, which was very helpful in narrowing down what we wanted. The day of the staff went above and beyond providing extra pea blossoms to help give a stronger green accent on tables throughout the reception and also working two small framed photos into the bride’s bouquet that were used at her sister’s wedding 14 years ago. We’d highly recommend Sunborn to anyone looking for spectacular flowers for a wedding or event!

I cannot recommend Sunborn Gardens enough. I have never written an online review before, but had to because I was so blown away by the flowers. Lisa was incredibly responsive and a joy to work with throughout the planning process. The flowers on our wedding day were breathtaking, and it was also a relief to know that the flowers were local and sustainable. I wish I could post photos to show them!

If you are looking for a wedding florist, I cannot recommend Sunborn Gardens and Lisa enough! We LOVED the florals at our wedding. It was everything and more! Every detail was PERFECT. From the stunning color palette to the unique fun floral choices and textures, the florals absolutely completed the whole vision, even more than we had even envisioned! We received so many compliments from friends and family about how beautiful the flowers were. It was such a pleasure working with Lisa from day 1. She was so receptive to any budget or style request. For example, we did not have the budget for both aisle florals and table centerpiece, so she created an arrangement that could easily move after the ceremony into the reception and be both. It is obvious that Lisa is very passionate about what she does, and it definitely shows/carry overs in her work.

I can't say enough good things about Lisa at Sunborn Gardens. All the flowers we used were grown by them (support your local farms!) and they were simply stunning. Lisa was so easy to work with- very communicative and flexible! They did an amazing job bringing some color into our day.

Working with Sunborn was a joy! Lisa was really responsive in helping us select a la carte items (bridal bouquet, corsages/boutonnieres, table flowers, and ceremony flowers) for our October wedding. We dropped off vases at the farmers market one week, and picked up our arrangements on the morning of our day with no fuss! The arrangements were PERFECT for our color scheme and the fall vibe we wanted to celebrate, and we were beyond happy to go local.

We used Sunborns full service design for our September wedding. Lisa and the team at Sunborn did an amazing job bringing our vision to life while adhering to our budget. The bridal party bouquets were beautiful, and we alternated candles/greenery and small bouquets as centerpieces at the reception. The delivery (to both church and reception) and set up went off without a hitch. It was important to us to use local grown flowers for our wedding and we're so glad we found Sunborn. Would absolutely recommend.

Everything about Sunborn was beautiful. My entire floral vision was based off of my bridal boquet made of silk flowers that were my mom's, who is no longer with us. I sent a photo of the silk flower bouquet in an email, also explaining that we wanted to DIY our bridesmaid bouquets, centerpieces, everything except the boutonnieres, and I preferred that the flowers be in season for environmental reasons (many specifics here to navigate), and Lisa sent back a perfect list of seasonal blooms that checked off all the boxes and matched my bouquet. Gave great guidance on how much we need based off guest number and vase size. It was also very budget-friendly. On pick-up day, everything was neatly sorted in buckets and me and my family had a blast putting them all together. It all turned out stunning. Thank you for everything!

Our florals truly made our wedding picturesque. We already appreciated the existing design of our venue, so we wanted the florals to accent the space, not overwhelm it. Besides that, we didn't really have much of a vision for flowers and were open to Lisa's creativity. Lisa took those notes and ran with it. The flowers came out amazing and we got frequent compliments on the flower crown. The corsages and boutonnieres were very natural and fit the color palette as well. The vases Sunborn provided worked excellently with the rest of the decor and they were able to decorate our cake with loose flowers. Lisa was also extremely flexible with my last-minute ideas which I appreciated. If I had one note for future couples it would be that the Sunborn folks spend most of their time offline with their flowers and not on email, so there will be some time in between responses. I definitely understand where they are coming from (it shows with the flowers!), and the responses are thorough and thoughtful. We definitely recommend Sunborn!

Our flowers from Sunborn were absolutely lovely. We opted for a designed bridal bouquet, bouts and corsages, and a few DIY buckets for bridesmaids. The bridal bouquet was such a unique design with an immense amount of texture and fullness. Everyone (including our other vendors) kept complimenting it. The DIY buckets were phenomenal and included some of the same flower types to match my bridal bouquet. We had enough to make some small arrangements for the tables in addition to the smaller bouquets. Lisa made accommodations for us for pick-up and made planning stress free despite my limited vision for flowers. Thanks Sunborn!

I was completely blown away by the flowers they did for my wedding. I gave them very little details about the flowers I wanted. I know nothing about flowers and arrangements. All I knew was that my venue was rustic, and I wanted earthy tones. I gave her a few pictures of Instagram pictures I liked and she took that and made the perfect arrangements! I absolutely love that they are a real farm that grows their own flowers, although they can outsource too if there is a specific flower you want. They did all the set up, I didn't even have to think about it on the day of. I highly recommend them!

When we were looking for flowers for the wedding, I was very excited to look for local blooms and to find Sunborn! My (now!) husband and I were very appreciative of how flexible Lisa was in staying within our budget and adding a few last-minute items (like a flower crown for my maid of honor) as well. The flowers we ended up with were beautiful and (from the handful of photos we already have from the wedding) photographed very well. There are two reasons I am rating 3/5 stars: 1) Communication. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, granted I did have quite a few last-minute questions, it seems there were also quite a few "email shenanigans" that resulted in widely varying response times from a few days to a couple weeks (after a follow-up from me). Lisa did mention she will be hiring a helper, so hopefully this will change in the future. In addition, on the day of the wedding, we discovered there had been a massive miscommunication about the location of flower pick-up. Since we had met Lisa at the farmer's market (and they also advertise a farmer's market pick-up) we assumed that's where we would be picking up our flowers - which was right around the corner from our venue. However, when my groom and father showed up for pick-up, Sunborn wasn't there. When my groom called, he was informed we were supposed to pick up the flowers in Mount Horeb at their farm. To Sunborn and Lisa's credit, they worked quickly and decided to deliver our flowers directly to our venue. But needless to say, this was quite the extra stressor on our big day (of which I was kept thankfully in the dark until after the solution was found). 2) Flower stamina. As I previously mentioned, all our bouquets and flowers photographed beautifully. I also realize a number of environmental factors (heat, humidity, etc.) could play into this, however we noticed pretty soon after our pre-ceremony photos that all flowers except the boutonnieres were wilting quickly. After the ceremony, my bridesmaids and I decided to ditch our bouquets entirely. My mom also told me that her corsage was essentially destroyed by the beginning of the reception. Despite these issues, I am still happy with the decision we made to support local flowers. Lisa was very friendly and an excellent troubleshooter in a pinch.

We are so happy that we chose Sunborn Gardens as our florist! Lisa was so easy to work with. She was very patient and helpful! The arrangements were absolutely gorgeous. We highly recommend Sunborn Gardens!

Look no further! They were the prettiest wedding flowers that anyone has ever seen! Lisa was so easy to work with and everything turned out amazing. I gave her some criteria of what I would like and she exceeded my vision. I trust that whatever she does would look amazing. The delivery and setup went very smooth. I think they were very reasonably priced and you get a great value with them. Wedding planning is stressful - and I can tell you that I never was stressed about the flower part due to my confidence in Sunborn Gardens.

We are very happy we chose Sunborn Gardens for our florist! We loved working with Lisa! She really listened to our ideas and vision, and then made it come to life. The flowers were so beautiful and vibrant! They locally grow all of their flowers, which made it even more special. We had many compliments from our guests about the amazing floral arrangements at the church and reception. The event planner at our reception venue also said she loves when couples choose Sunborn Gardens as their florist because they always create outstanding arrangements and have the most gorgeous flowers. Lisa and her team truly are creative geniuses. We highly recommend Sunborn Gardens for your wedding florist!

The flowers I had designed by the Sunborn team was gorgeous, they stayed close to my wedding vision which was important but communication could have been better. There was information communicated regarding floral availablibility and amount of florals needed which was not handled well from their team. Fortunately it all worked out well.

I cannot sing enough praises about Sunborn. I had been a fan of their beautiful arrangements from the farmer's market and they were one of the very first vendors we booked. Lisa was so easy to work with. She managed to pull together a beautiful vision from my overwhelming Pinterest boards - I felt she "got us" right away. Her creativity was clear and we felt so comfortable leaving the details and flower choices in her hands. Sunborn was very flexible and accommodating with changes throughout the planning process. Kaisa was our florist for the big day - the bouquets were gorgeous and brought tears to my eyes! We also had a floral arch that looking amazing. Sunborn was so professional and really hit it out of the park. It felt even better knowing I was using local, slow-grow flowers. You truly cannot go wrong with Sunborn as your wedding florist!

Lisa & Sunborn do such incredible work. Before my husband and I got engaged, we found Sunborn at the Madison Farmers market and immediately knew that's who would be doing our flowers. I couldn't explain my vision for the life of me, but Lisa took any explanation I could give and far exceeded our expectations. From the bouquets, to the center pieces to the wrist corsages and boutineers to our AMAZING hanging installation put above our head table (that Lisa went through a lot of communication to make happen for us) were all just breathe taking. I promise you want Lisa & Sunborn to do any floral arrangement you need. She will blow you out of the water.

The bunch at Sunborn Gardens were a dream to work with. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted in bouquets and boutonnieres, but after talking with Lisa about the location and general vibe we were going for with our wedding, she was able to craft a beautiful set of flowers. I cannot explain lovely all our flowers were and how much I loved working with Lisa and her team! Thank you so much! I really reccoment using Sunbrn Gardens for any wedding around Milwaukee - they are a treasure!

Our wedding flowers from Sunborn Gardens were absolutely gorgeous. Sunborn was the perfect choice for our rustic-glam wedding just outside of Madison. I choose her based on her photos and commitment to using natural, in-season flowers as much as possible. Combining some of her more pricey pieces -- like an amazing arbor design that actually had to be reworked Day-of when we had to move the wedding inside -- with a couple of DIY buckets was just the perfect balance for our budget. Her bouquets were perfect as well. My only complaint -- a small one -- was that the groom bout was glued a little off, so you could see the safety pin holding it on at times. But that's nothing in comparison with her amazing blooms and commitment to making your floral arrangements unique and gorgeous!

Sunborn, and Lisa in particular, were so awesome to work with for our wedding flowers! We knew we wanted to keep the flowers local, but didn't have much of an idea beyond that. Lisa helped us put together an idea board and color story and ultimately put together the most gorgeous bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding day. We would highly recommend Lisa and Sunborn--super easy to work with, very professional, and the arrangements are absolutely stunning!

I very much enjoyed working with Lisa for our flowers for our wedding. She is such a talented artist and will take your breath away by the beauty of the arrangement she makes. We had a really great experience working with Sunborn for our wedding! Lisa was so thorough yet laidback, which made her ideal for helping with wedding planning. The flowers were gorgeous and she did a beautiful job setting them up. She even changed our delivery plans (with our blessing) on the morning of to make it easier for us with bad weather. We worked with Sunborn for our August wedding and had such a wonderful experience. Lisa was an absolute joy to work with, she is so kind and knowledgable. I had such a great time working with her. I loved that we got to use a local garden as well. From the beginning of our planning, Lisa was so flexible and responsive to my messages and questions. She's very professional and comes with great suggestions for those (me) who didn't really know what they want or what would look good. She never tried to push anything on me and I was so grateful for her suggestions. She has an amazing eye for putting together beautiful pieces. I had a memorial arrangement in honor of my Grandmother who unexpectedly passed away before our wedding. Lisa took the time to get to know her, wanting to know her name, her likes and how we could incorporate her into my wedding flowers. She wrapped my bridal bouquet in one of her handkerchiefs and wrapped photos into that. Her kindness and thoughtfulness made all the difference and meant so much to me. We got so many compliments on our flowers and I've been happy to recommend Sunborn to anyone who's looking for a florist. I would highly recommend Lisa, I couldn't have been happier with everything. I'll be continuing to get my flowers from Sunborn when they are at the farmer's market this summer!

We love the Madison Farmers market, and so we were really happy when we found out that Sunborn Gardens does weddings. We were very happy with the bridal bouquet and the awesome buckets of flowers that we used to make our centerpieces. They were really easy to work with and were able to give us a nice mix of flowers and grasses that matched our rustic theme perfectly. In terms of value, they were also fantastic! The flowers were very affordable and locally grown. The only negative we had was that one of the bridesmaids bouquets of sunflowers wilted the night before the wedding. However, we had plenty of sunflowers in our buckets of mixed flowers that we were able to make a replacement. Maybe we handled it wrong? Overall, I'd highly recommend Sunborn Gardens to anyone who wants to have a wedding with a great local touch!

We used Sunborn Gardens for the wedding bouquets and corsages (basically the stuff I didn't want to make on my own!). Carol listened to my vision, which consisted mainly of the fact I wanted something simple, in fall colors, and some sun flowers thrown in if possible (I'm not the most creative or artistic type when it comes to flowers!). She delivered some of the most gorgeous bouquets that I have ever seen, and they were absolutely perfect! They were complimented by all. And, the corsages were also gorgeous, and fit in with my fall barn wedding perfectly. All this was done at a VERY reasonable price. I will definitely be reccomending Carol and Sunborn Gardens to everyone I can :)

Carol at Sunborn Gardens was great to work with - she asked all the right questions and I totally trusted her to run with the flower colors, types, and arrangements. Our bouquets were PERFECT, along with all the corsages and boutonnieres, and the table arrangements were quaint and simple, which is all we wanted. I gave her a lot of autonomy, but I know she'd be wonderful with more specifics and direction as well. If you're looking for affordable, gorgeous flowers in the Madison area, this is a wonderful venue. And you can visit them at the farmers' market on Saturdays as well!
