From the day we toured Sunday River we felt welcome and cared for. The wedding coordinator, Katie Chambers, was incredibly helpful and very communicative throughout our beginning process. Our "day of" coordinator, Michaela, was also so incredibly helpful throughout the process. On the day of our wedding she was kind and very organized. She communicated with my Maid of Honor throughout the whole event to make sure I had everything I needed. We absolutely loved the venue. The Jordan Hotel, where us and our guests stayed, was recently renovated and looks stunning. The Jordan Terrace, where the ceremony took place, was probably my favorite spot, it was breathtaking. Sliders, where our reception took place was a perfect spot. Our guests still rave about the food and everything was set up and taken down efficiently and on time. The staff were incredibly kind. Greg at the front desk especially made us feel like family and your stay isn't complete without having a conversation with him. Overall, I am so grateful we booked this venue for our wedding and look forward to going back to visit.

The Jordan Hotel, Sunday River was the perfect venue for our Fall wedding. The outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with the reception at Sliders worked great for our 100 guests.
We loved the location where everyone could stay on site and enjoy the amenities like the heated pool and hiking trails.
Katie and Jen were great to work with through the planning process, always very helpful and responsive. The entire staff at the Jordan were very friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk and banquet staff. We highly recommend!

Sunday River (at the Jordan Hotel) was an amazing host for our September wedding! Our initial point of contact and then our day-of coordinator answered a million questions for us leading up to the big day.
The hotel staff, particularly Greg, was incredibly helpful with getting us space to process our floral arrangements (we made bouquets from loose stems) the day before, and finding us storage space with AC to keep them fresh; anything else we needed (eg last minute high chairs for some kids), he and his staff did their best to accommodate.
The head caterer Jennie-Mae was also wonderful accommodating how we wanted our guests with special meals handled and made sure we (the bride and groom) were fed and watered throughout the busy evening. She also ended up organizing our people for sparklers to make sure everyone got theirs lit (and stayed safe). She also helped us find our baker, which we loved (Shelby Cakes).
Our coordinator Bryon helped with lots of little details (Sunday River has a master document that covers pretty much the whole day and keeps it all in one place), and he was able to get some signage made for us at no cost to us. He helped move things around for day of decorating (eg setting out flowers close to the event so they didn’t bake in the sun all day, turning on our fairy lights) and also ran our rehearsal the day before; plus day of, he ran the timing of “releasing” our wedding party to walk down the aisle.
Leading up to the day, we do wish he’d let us know a little more often when he received an email from us but maybe couldn’t get us an answer right away, just so we knew it didn’t get lost in the shuffle; and it was also a little frustrating at times to be asked questions when answers were already included in the master document, or when answers felt like “probablies” instead of definite “yeses”.
However, at the end of the day, Bryon and Sunday River pulled everything off beautifully and smoothly, and we are really happy we had our wedding at Sunday River!!! From set up to tear down, they made our lives so easy day of so we could truly enjoy the time with our friends, family, and each other.

The Grand Summit Hotel was a fantastic place if you're looking for an "all in one" wedding venue. Having everything onsite made everything 100x easier for us, and so many of our guests commented on how nice it was to not have to travel around, be able to run upstairs to change their shoes, see each other around the resort, etc.! We had our ceremony on the ski slope, reception in the ballroom, and after party and farewell brunch in CAMP. It was so nice to be able to have to worry about coordinating transportation and not have to rent tables/chairs/flatware/linens, like so many venues make you do now! Truly all in one. We also used Sliders at the Jordan for our welcome party which was a fantastic way to show our guests the entire resort.
Planning a weekend full of multiple events from across the country could have been a disaster for us, but Katie and Malaney were more than accommodating and supportive answering all of our questions and worked amazingly with our planner and vendors to ensure everyone had what they needed. And our day went PERFECTLY. If you're looking for a stress-free day, this is your venue.

Katie Chambers and Kylie Austin were absolutely incredible. I planned my wedding mostly by myself and would never have succeeded but for their guidance. The day of the wedding, Kylie stayed with me as much as she could and I insist is the only reason I did not worry. She seemingly knew what I needed, whether it was help with set up or a glass of bourbon, before I did. The entire staff was also wonderful, from housekeeping that left cute little trinkets and towel swans to Greg at the front desk who made me laugh when he saw me getting a bit stressed and to Elise who always had kind words. My husband had a spectacular time golfing…everything was just wonderful. We are even celebrating our first anniversary here as a result of the positive experience.

Honestly can’t say enough good things about the staff and our experience at The Jordan Hotel. They helped us have the best wedding weekend we could have asked for! The venue is gorgeous, the food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating to everything we needed! We had the most amazing experience working with Sunday River Wedding Company, and the entirety of the staff at Sunday River Resorts for our wedding weekend! We are avid skiers, and spend our winters skiing at Sunday River. This was the driving factor for selecting the venue, and the service level and experience through the planning and execution far exceeded our expectations. Our day of coordinator, Ilea, was an absolute gem - incredibly patient, accommodating, flexible, and adaptable. Customer obsession comes to mind when thinking about our experience, Ilea, and the entire team, were as obsessed about making our day perfect for us and our guests as we were, and I can't think of a more important characteristic! It is worth noting that we were married in the fall of 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I think there were a lot of weddings this year that had that qualifier "our wedding was great - considering the circumstances". We don't feel the need to add that qualifier. Our wedding was great, period, no qualifier needed, and a huge reason for that is the level of service and support we got from the team - not to mention the incredible food, beautiful views, and weather that couldn't have possibly been any more perfect! Get married here - you won't regret it!

We live three hours away so a lot of planning was done through e-mail over the past 2 years. Our coordinator, Kylie, made everything so effortless and set my bride-brain at ease on many occasions! She made sure our day went off without a hitch.
The staff is so accommodating and helpful, the venue is beautiful, and the food was great! Our family and friends cannot stop talking about our wedding!
We had our ceremony and reception at North Peak lodge and everything was amazing! Noah and Ilea were really easy to work with! Every single interaction with every member of your staff was positive. Housekeeping, desk personnel, Camp restaurant employees and staff at the North Peak Lodge were friendly and warm to all of our guests. Guests were allowed to check in early, housekeeping and restaurant staff took care of all of our needs immediately and professionally. North Peak lodge and Grand Summit employees went out of their way to give us an amazing experience. I travel a lot and hence have stayed at many hotels, and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. Many guests said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! You made me feel like we were home. This of course is so important when you are celebrating a wedding that takes a lot of planning and is so very important to the couple and families.
I would recommend anyone wanting to have an amazing wedding experience to choose your location.
My husband and I got married at the Jordan Hotel on 9/21/19 and it was THE MOST PERFECT DAY! I can't explain how happy we were with everything from that day. Between the gorgeous foliage views at the ceremony to the perfect space and ambiance at the reception in Sliders - couldn't have asked for anything better. Our wedding planner, Kylie, was amazing and made sure we had anything and everything we needed and kept everything flowing perfectly. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Pick Sunday River if you want a wedding that people can't stop talking about!
We got married at the Jordan Hotel at Sunday River. This company was FANTASTIC to work with! My husband and I are pretty laid back and wanted the planning process to reflect our style. Sunday River made that possible. They give each couple two coordinators to work with (included in the price)- one initial coordinator and one day-of coordinator who actually starts working with you a few months before the big day. They were both great and so organized. They made choosing everything simple and straight-forward. Fas forward to the actual wedding weekend- it was PERFECTION. We got married on the mountain on Oct. 7, 2018. It was peak foliage weekend and the views were absolutely incredible. The wedding was everything we hoped it would be- a classy, personal ceremony and dinner, and a lively party to close out the evening. I can't say enough good things about this venue/company. AND, as an added bonus, they gave us free 2018-2019 ski passes!
Everything about this venue was perfect from the day we laid eyes on it, to the day we booked it, right up until the very last second of the reception. Our day of coordinator was Katie, and she replied to every single email with details and quick responses. Everything went off without a single hitch on the day of our wedding. It was so beautiful and the staff were extremely nice and attentive. The dinner was phenomenal and no one was ever waiting for their food, it came out hot and on time. We loved every minute of working with Sunday River Wedding Co. to make our big day dreams a reality!
To be honest, my husband picked the venue. I agreed because we tend to snowboard at Sunday River so often during the season and I wanted our venue to be a special place. Both Katie and Kayla went above and beyond my expectations. The DJ recommended by them was amazing, people we commenting on the food all night long. They were super responsive via email, and patient with us when we didn't always meet deadlines. They really made mine and my husband's wedding everything that it was. Everyone at the resort was so welcoming and accommodating.
If you're venue shopping, you should definitely take the time to have a look at Sunday River. The Jordan Terrace site is simply perfect.
My husband (!) and I were married on this past Saturday (9/22/18) at the North Peak Lodge at Sunday River Resort in Newry, ME and it was literally the very best day of our lives.
We could NOT have asked for better food, location, and of course, coordinators! Kadie was extremely professional and courteous and she made sure that all of my questions leading up to the day were answered and then she stayed with us for the entire weekend to ensure that our day was perfect. Her organizational skills, communication skills, and all around friendliness were perfect and gave me a huge amount of confidence that our day would be spectacular. By the time that we got to the top of the mountain for our first look, Kadie had corralled all of our vendors and we had absolutely no work to do - just have the most fun we've ever had.

There is nothing I would have changed about my day. From the scenery to the staff, the food and my planner; everything was perfect. The Peak Lodge was the ultimate adventure. My 83 year old aunt called it a bucket list experience. She was able to ride the Chondola and the new bathrooms made it perfect for her. And all of us, really.
PERFECT! BEST DAY EVER! If I could sum up our experience at Sunday River: the greatest day of our lives realized. I never actually believed that my wedding would be the best day of my life so far... it was! Everyone is telling us how much fun they had!
We worked with Noah Tanguay and Katie Chambers; they are both incredibly responsive and sweet! They were so helpful with suggestions when I hit a brick wall and didn't feel that I could make decisions. Every suggestion they made was spot on! The day was completely smooth -- Katie is a miracle worker! She wrangled our (boisterous) wedding party with grace and ease. As the bride, you expect problems to arise during the day. Katie took care of EVERYTHING! I sat back, drank orange juice from crystal, and felt like a Disney Princess!
I could not recommend Sunday River more highly. Their staff from top to bottom is WONDERFUL! Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful; housekeeping, servers, and front desk personnel were friendly and went above and beyond to make every aspect perfect. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work with them.
To any bride, you will be more than happy here. They genuinely want you to have a great experience. To any groom, you and your bride will be able to relax here! They will give you suggestions when you ask for them, and make sure any strange requests are taken care of (we had Sea Dogs biscuits in addition to cake). Their staff is wonderful (the server at the cafe gave us in town suggestions for dinner -- she was RIGHT!)
I felt no stress. Katie made sure of that! I got the butterflies of anticipation, with none of the frustration. I wouldn't change a single thing!

Our Sunday River Wedding was a dream come true. Words cannot express my gratitude for Sunday River’s Wedding Catering Sales Manager, Emily Bourassa and Wedding Coordinator, Betsy Riley. From beginning to end our wedding was well organized, planned and a fun experience. Emily and Betsy were extremely responsive, timely and well organized. They always made us feel as though they had everything 100% under control.
Their love and passion for wedding planning, shows in their work by being just as excited as we were for our wedding. Emily and Betsy were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. They went above and beyond! Everything was wonderful, from beginning to end. I wish it wasn’t over!!
Despite a few hiccups, Sunday River (Jordan Hotel & Sliders Restaurant) was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was fantastic and extremely accommodating. Our wedding planner Adrienne was fantastic and made every effort to be there for me and my husband every step of the way. If you are interested in a rustic wedding venue, Sunday River is the way to go!

My husband and I got married at Jordan Hotel (Sunday River has 3 venues, so I just wanted to specify). First, we absolutely loved the setting; the mountains, the trees that were just starting to turn color, the rustic gorgeousness of the hotel itself. Our reception was in Slider's, and that building speaks for itself. It was so classically Maine rustic elegant. Our guests loved it-really they loved everything about the venue, including the rooms, the heated pool, Grand Ave Restaurant and Bar where we had breakfast in the mornings and congregated in the evenings.
The wedding package we chose came with a complimentary wedding coordinator (I can't remember if they all do-I think so). This was so important to me, as I was planning our wedding from Pennsylvania, and I'm also super type A so coordinating day-of details would have stressed me out and ruined the day. We worked with Heath who was just so incredibly fantastic. Right from the time we first interacted, he was so helpful in making sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted, down to the last detail. It rained on our wedding day, and when I saw the forecast a few days before I emailed Heath with my concerns about being in the same space for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He arranged for a second event room where our ceremony was held, which made the day perfect for me despite the rain.
The food was amazing; the bar was amazing; the staff (including Heather the concierge, Brad from the front desk, and Connor at the bar and the rest of the wait staff who took care of us for 3 days straight in Grand Ave and at our reception) went above and beyond to make everything go not just smoothly, but the best. Our guests just could not stop talking about how amazing, fabulous, perfect everything was.
Hands down, I would recommend Jordan Hotel at Sunday River to anyone who wants to get married in Maine. It was so perfect-I just don't have enough adjectives to praise them.
I can't say enough good things about Sunday River! Our coordinator got a new job a month before our wedding but the handoff to the new coordinator was seamless! They took care of everything and made sure every detail I requested was documented and executed. We got married at North Peak then everyone took the chairlift down to the grand summit. They efficiently got about 200 guests down and ready for cocktail hour like clockwork. At the end of the night, staff went above and beyond as we broke down the room, wrapping up my cake, and giving us hugs of congratulations. Everyone said it was the best wedding they had gone to, from the views, to the food, to the stay at the hotel and the dynamite brunch. Having it at the top of the mountain was so "us." What a special place!
We had our wedding at the Grand Summit Hotel on 8/13/16 and could not have had a more perfect experience! Emily Bourassa and Heath Weatherbee made sure that we had an amazing day. Every step of the planning process was easy and organized. We had our ceremony on the covered bridge in Newry, which our guests couldn't stop remarking what a beautiful and unique site it was. The Grand Summit Hotel was perfect for our reception. All of our guests who wanted to stay for the weekend were able to be in one place, allowing us more time to spend with all of them! The on site restaurant/bar ("Camp") was the perfect after-party location, not to mention delicious complimentary brunch for all the guests staying at the hotel. The food for our reception was incredible! Filet and lobster tail at a very affordable price and cooked to perfection. Guests to this day are still telling us its the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. Heath was our day-of coordinator and he took time weeks in advance to have detailed conversations with us so that every detail was planned for. Our rehearsal dinner was on-site as well and Heath made sure that it went off without a hitch, even moving tables inside for us when it started to rain. Overall, a perfect experience and at a great price! We would recommend Sunday River (and Heath and Emily) to any bride and groom looking for a beautiful location, great food, and a affordable price!
We had our ceremony and reception at Sunday River's Sliders Restaurant at the Jordan Hotel, and we could not have been happier! Emily Bourassa and Hilda Needham were extremely organized, responsive and helpful, and did everything they could to answer our questions and to make sure that our special day was exactly what we wanted. They have wedding planning down to a science, and truly helped to take a load off our minds by taking care of nearly everything that needed to be done. The entire staff there, from the front desk to the servers and bartenders, was exceptionally and genuinely friendly. Sunday River was an absolutely beautiful setting, and our guests kept commenting on how gorgeous and fairytale it was. We had the perfect day! Thank you Sunday River! Everybody was very accommodating in making sure our day was special and personal. The food was to die for, the venue was gorgeous and the staff was wonderful. Our guests raved about the wedding and we can't thank Sunday River enough for our perfect day! If you are looking for a unique mountain venue that guests will talk about, you found it!!
We used Sunday River for transportation to our nearby venue (a rental house called Ski Esta), lodging, and for a pre-wedding event for our out of town guests. Emily was our sales manager and met with us a few times far in advance to discuss our needs and to tour the different properties to find the best space for our event. We ended up booking a block of rooms at the Grand Summit and holding our welcome event in a section of Camp restaurant with a selection of dessert and coffee arranged by their catering staff. We also had the front desk hand out gift bags to all guests checking into our block. This is something they don't do anymore, you have to pay a fee to have them placed in the rooms, but since we discussed this before the change in policy, they were very reasonable and worked with us. Hilda was our day of event coordinator and worked with me to nail down our complicated shuttle schedule (we had different groups being picked up/dropped off from both Sunday river and other locations), she also helped me arrange to have a surprise groom's cake delivered for our dessert reception. Overall, the pricing was very reasonable, they were very flexible, responsive, and easy to work with, and all of our services went well (their brownies and whoopie pies in particular were a big hit). The only negative is that the hotel's website in general needs some updating. For room blocks, guests have to call the front desk and give an alphanumeric code that is not very easy to remember. It would be great if they could provide online booking in the future.
Our guests had so much fun at our North Peak wedding! It was a beautiful venue atop the mountain and the staff were very accommodating. The chondola ride up the mountain was amazing, and made for some amazing pictures! The Grand Summit hotel was very accommodating, and had wonderful facilities to relax and get ready - we made full use of the pool, hot tub and gym! Highly recommended!
Jordan Grand Hotel at Sunday River Resort is a beautiful picturesque venue! My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams here. The staff are fantastic and so helpful and Sliders restaurant is the perfect reception space for a relatively small guest list. We had the weekend feel we wanted and wouldn't have changed a thing!!! Kudos to Emily Bourassa and Katie Chambers for helping organize an unforgettable wrdding!!
