ons for services that were never purchased as though they were contractual obligations Sunflower Entertainment failed to fulfill. For couples considering our services, we would like to provide important context. Julia purchased our **Day-of Coordination package**. Partial Planning and Full Service Planning are separate packages with separate scopes and pricing. As Julia acknowledges herself, she later *requested to upgrade* to Partial Planning. That upgrade was never contracted, invoiced, or paid for. We absolutely allow clients to inquire about upgrading their services based upon our availability. However, being told prior to booking that an upgrade may be possible does not mean that a future upgrade is guaranteed, nor does it convert a Day-of Coordination agreement into a Partial Planning agreement. Despite purchasing Day-of Coordination, Julia received considerable support leading up to her wedding. Our team provided the planning resources included in her package, venue walkthrough, timeline creation, vendor communication, rehearsal coordination and wedding-day management. We also participated in multiple extended calls addressing matters beyond the typical consultation associated with Day-of Coordination without charging additional consultation fees and responded to communications outside normal business hours, including texts as late as 10:30 p.m. Regarding the planning portal, when Julia notified us that certain links were not resolving for her, access was addressed. The existence of a technical access issue does not mean those resources had not been provided or that Sunflower Entertainment withheld planning materials. Regarding the timeline, it was completed and distributed to the vendor team before the wedding. While Julia believes it should have been distributed earlier, her agreement contained no deadline requiring distribution a specific number of days before the event. A client's preferred timeline for delivery and a contractual failure to provide a service are two very different things. Julia also references expenses she independently incurred and attributes them to Sunflower Entertainment. We do not agree with that characterization or accept responsibility for expenses we neither authorized nor agreed to assume. We would also like to correct the implication that Julia unexpectedly discovered someone other than Sydney would coordinate her wedding. Sunflower Entertainment is a **team-based company**. Julia knew before her wedding who her assigned coordinator would be. There was no surprise substitution on the wedding day and Julia had met her coordinator twice, once in person and the second on our timeline call. Most importantly, Julia acknowledges that her coordinator was lovely and that the wedding-day coordination was successfully performed. Following the wedding, Julia requested a **$1,650 refund **while simultaneously acknowledging that her wedding occurred successfully and that the core Day-of Coordination service she purchased was performed. At that point, the matter became a financial and contractual dispute. Of course our response referenced the signed agreement. Contracts exist specifically to establish what each party purchased, what each party agreed to provide, and how disputes are addressed. Responding to a demand for nearly 75% of the contract value by reviewing the actual contract is not a failure of customer service; it is responsible business practice. We stand firmly behind our team, the services provided, and our decision to decline the requested refund. There is one piece of Julia's advice with which we wholeheartedly agree: **read your contract and make sure the package you purchase reflects the level of service you want.** Day-of Coordination is not Partial Planning, and Partial Planning is not Full Service Planning. We intentionally offer different packages because different couples require different levels of support. We frequently go beyond our contractual scope as a professional courtesy because we care deeply about our couples and their weddings. But additional courtesy should not later be recharacterized as evidence that an entirely different service package was owed. We are genuinely glad Julia and Daniel had a beautiful wedding and wish them well. We also stand behind the professionals who worked hard to help make that day happen.
