Every corner of the property is picture-perfect, and we loved the endless photo backdrops, especially the iconic “sunset bluff” and the beautiful cross on the property. Beyond the incredible aesthetics, the staff made the experience seamless and enjoyable. Sharron, the venue coordinator, was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. On the wedding day, rain threatened to derail the outdoor ceremony, but Sharron and the team handled it flawlessly. After a brief cloudburst, they quickly dried the chairs and set the stage for a beautiful ceremony as if nothing had happened. And then a rainbow over the bluffs appeared! The in-house catering by Mosaic was extraordinary—our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food! And the grand fireworks display was an unforgettable touch that wowed everyone. Sunset Bluffs delivered on every level: beauty, professionalism, and unforgettable memories. We highly recommend this venue to anyone searching for the perfect wedding location!

(and they do!), but our wedding was amazing for so many more reasons than just the pretty pictures. We booked the venue house for 2 days (rehearsal day and wedding day). We chose to invite the entire wedding party to stay at the house. On the day of the rehearsal, we all spent the day playing on the lake, playing lawn games, and just enjoying each other's company. We chose a relaxed, casual catered rehearsal dinner, and we still had access to the property where our guests could spread out and enjoy the scenery. Getting ready at the venue house was everything I had hoped for! My bridesmaids and I enjoyed getting ready in the make-up chairs and took advantage of all the scenic places to take pics such as popping champagne on the balcony overlooking the water. My husband and his groomsmen played pool and video games downstairs (there was plenty of room to keep us separated until the first look). Sharon, the venue's planner, was a dream to work with. She had great suggestions for the flow of the wedding day and was completely organized and ready to change things around in a heartbeat if weather dictated. We chose to have the ceremony outside by the water under the arbor, cocktail hour outside under the tent, and then inside for dinner and toasts, cake cutting, first dances, etc. We then returned to the outside for dancing under the tent. It was perfect! Some other notes: we used the in-house caterer Mosaic, and received so many compliments on the food. I've never been that impressed with buffet-style food, so I was so pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed everything! Sunset Bluffs was just a perfect venue. And now that the day is over.... did I mention the pictures?

oking our wedding date, we moved to Maryland. The new owners were so easy to work with and very responsive to questions. While planning the wedding from Maryland, Gretchen and Pat were very accommodating and worked within our schedule, fitting visits (and tastings) to when we could be in Saint Louis. We arrived the morning before our wedding. When we got there, the tables were set up in the reception hall and under the tent for our cocktail hour. The chairs were set up for our ceremony. Both houses were ready on time and were very clean. We realized the day before the ceremony that we didn't have numbers to put on the tables, and Gretchen and Sharron were able to get those for us by the next morning. We spent most of the day before our wedding hanging out around/in the lake. The water was very nice, and everyone in our wedding party had a great time. Plus, we were able to grill for our rehearsal dinner using the venue's grill. Speaking of food, we used Mosaic catering, which is owned by Pat and is the site's preferred caterer. We were somewhat reticent about having to use the site's preferred caterer, but the food turned out amazing. Our guests are still raving about it. Plus, it was very reasonably-priced, despite us customizing our menu quite a bit. The venue itself is beautiful. All of our photos look amazing. I'm particularly impressed with how the sunset photos turned out. Despite being taken a bit earlier than sunset itself and despite how tired I remember both of us being at that point, they look beautiful. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how much fun our guests and wedding party had during the weekend. No one could believe that a venue like this existed in Missouri. Sunset Bluffs provided us with exactly what we wanted: A beautiful destination wedding experience that our Saint Louis family and friends could easily attend by car.

We received so many compliments from our guests on our venue as we were lucky enough with weather to truly utilize the entire grounds-- married outside, cocktail hour under the tent, dinner inside and then back outside to dance the night away! The best part is that the venue is SO beautiful on it's own, that we really did not need much at all in terms of decorations, giving us one less thing to worry about! Absolutely wonderful experience!
