Sunshine Floral

Julie, the owner, was very accommodating to our needs and worked well with some short notice changes. The flowers were beautiful and were our favorite accessory for our day.

I'm rather mixed on my review for Sunshine Floral. On the one hand, Julie, the new owner as of last January, is fantastic! She was very nice and very flexible. She was willing to work within my budget and was very reasonable in terms of price. The flowers were very beautiful, and I especially loved the reception centerpieces and bridesmaids bouquets. We got a lot of compliments on our decor at the reception! I really loved my bouquet, though it wasn't exactly what I had asked for. I showed her a picture that was specifically what I wanted, and what I got was very beautiful, just... not what I asked for. Also, I had yellow roses in my bouquet and maybe I wasn't specific enough that I wanted soft/light yellow roses or she wasn't able to get the right color, but they were more bright/orange-y than I wanted. Oh well. The bridesmaids bouquets were exactly what I asked for and I couldn't have been more pleased with them. On the negative side, I don't know that she followed "the plan" for boutonnieres and corsages. I thought some people would be getting different types of flowers, but they were all very much the same, mostly white roses. The GM were yellow roses and my husband had a calla lily, as we had discussed, but everyone else got pretty much the same thing. Thing is, I can't remember what we decided everyone would get. I also was disappointed with how long the centerpieces lasted after the wedding. I donated most of them to a nursing home a few days after, and some of them were already looking a bit tired at that point too! I have no idea why, but the water got really murky in the centerpieces I kept and the vase I kept my bouquet in (until I decided what to do with it). My MIL had also ordered an arrangement for the rehearsal dinner, and that got really murky too. When I took the flowers apart to dry or throw out (actually, I composted them!), some of them were moldy. Overall, I would recommend, but there were a couple disappointments...

I am not well versed on flowers! I just wanted pretty ones. Julie at Sunshine floral was great!!! She sat us down as we went over picture ideas for each item we would need. She also made great recommendations to help us meet our budget. They were ON TIME and POLITE! Would work with them again in a heartbeat!

Julie went above and beyond to ensure my day was perfect and made it extra special by helping to honor my mother by incorporating pieces of my moms wedding dress into my arrangement.
