Without a doubt, the best part of our June 2013 reception was the food. For our dinner, we chose a “Make Your Own Pasta” buffet. Guests could choose between two different types of pastas, three different sauces, and meatballs, grilled chicken, and steamed vegetables as toppings. There was no shortage of variety, flavor, or helpings. The staff was professional and polite, as well.
And then there were the cakes. Our wedding cake was the most beautiful cake that I’ve ever seen. We weren’t exactly sure what we wanted, but we had some different ideas. I’m still not sure how it was even possible, but Sue was able to put everything together to create my dream cake. With floral details combining fondant and buttercream icings, it was absolutely breath-taking. When we actually cut the cake and tasted it…Oh. My. Gosh. We had white, strawberry, and pineapple as our flavors, and each was delicious. She also created an “Ohio State” groom’s cake which was equally appealing to the eyes and taste-buds.
Everyone there raved about how great the food was. I’m sure I’m partial because it was my wedding reception but it was, without a doubt, the best reception food I have ever had. Sue had made all of the food we had requested to perfection, which, in turn, made our reception quite perfect.
