From the moment we stepped onto the property at Sweeney Barn my husband and I knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. It has rustic charm with modern flare. It truly is such a beautiful place and it wasn’t just a venue, it felt like home. Andrea from Sweeney Barn made everything seamless and truly a blessing. Andrea’s kindness and warmth make your experience that much more special and her organization and attention to detail put my mind at ease. I knew everything was going to be executed to perfection and it was!!! Sweeney Barn even offers you a variety of decor you can utilize which came in handy! What makes Sweeney stand out even more is they host open houses where their trusted vendors attend and you can browse and meet vendors. This was INCREDIBLE and we booked almost all our vendors at the open house making my life so much easier. On the day of the Sweeney Barn coordinator that was with us, Lisa, was a DREAM. She is enthusiastic and lovely! Not to mention she even took care of our dog before the ceremony, which was just so kind! Sweeney Barn is truly an amazing place to get married and I’m telling you right now go visit!!!

I wish I could give more stars!! From our first walk through to getting married was nothing but great and absolutely beautiful. The staff is nothing but amazing Mrs. Kathy gave us the tour and that is what made us say YES to the venue Sweeney Barn offers great customer service and was with us every step of the way. Our wedding day was the best day because of everyone at Sweeney Barn that was involved!!! I recommend them 1000% times. All of our guest are still talking about how beautiful the venue is. The team at Sweeney Barn is fantastic, from the planning to day of. They planned for everything, and then when invariably hiccups (on our side, not theirs) occurred, their onsite team swung into action to hep us immediately. They are fantastic. Also good value for all you get because rental also includes tables and chairs, which most other venues charge for (and some decorations too!)

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at Sweeney Barn in June, and it was nothing short of perfect. The venue itself is breathtaking with so many unique and picture-perfect elements we were able to incorporate into our wedding. We received so many compliments on the venue! We also loved working with Andrea (GM of Sweeney) as well. She was highly responsive, organized, and very pleasant to interact with throughout the whole planning stage. My wife and I had our wedding this past April at Sweeney Barn and we had a fabulous experience. We browsed many venues in the area and decided on Sweeney due to its size and pricing. It easily accommodated 150 guests. Andrea and her team at Sweeney were extremely responsive to all of our questions about the venue, other vendors, and day-of coordination. We had some pretty specific needs that were met with expedient solutions and helpful commentary based on other weddings at Sweeney. We reviewed the ratings photos of other weddings at Sweeney Barn and thought everything was beautiful. However, when we went to see the venue it was breathtaking and we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding! Andrea (General Manager) and Kathy (wedding planner) ensured every detail was addressed timely. The recommendations from the Sweeney Barn for the caterer, DJ, photographer, make-up artist and bakery were all exceptional! We are happy we decided to have our wedding at Sweeney Barn. We were very grateful that Kathy was an outstanding wedding planner and the team worked flawlessly together. It is a day we will cherish forever!

Sweeney Barn was a dream venue for our wedding! It was the first venue we looked at, and nothing else compared. From the location, to the team of staff lead by Andrea, it was perfect. We loved that we could have our ceremony in the light and airy bottom level, host an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, and then the reception upstairs in the spacious upper-level barn loft. The venue offers lots of equipment and decor, helping us save $ on decor and rentals. The entire space is gorgeous - guests gave us so many compliments about the venue. The silo staircase was also one of the big selling points for us. Loved the beautiful bridal suite as well! It was just a short drive from several hotels and shopping areas, and right down the road from 2 Silos brewing, where we went for our after party. Andrea and her team were so patient with all of our questions, and coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors. Highly recommend this space for your wedding or other event!

My husband and I knew we wanted Sweeney Barn the second we stepped into the space. It is a breathtaking venue, all of our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful it is. The venue comes with some of its own decor which was super helpful for someone like myself who is not good at decorating :) Not only is the venue beautiful but the staff member we worked with (Andrea) is amazing. Super friendly to work with and makes the experience truly seamless. We primarily worked off their suggested vendor list too which were all great. We had the best day at Sweeney Barn and wish we could live it over and over again!

We knew Sweeney Barn was the perfect fit for us from the second we first toured it. The venue is beautiful by itself, but the staff we spoke with (Andrea and Meghan) made it feel like this was our “home”. Many venues can be pretty, but finding a team of vendors that make it feel like the most special day ever makes all the difference - that’s Sweeney Barn. My husband and I could not have imagined having our wedding at any other venue. The different spaces in the venue are gorgeous and you can tell they payed a lot of attention to detail. Given the multiple spaces available, we had our ceremony downstairs and our reception upstairs so it was incredibly convenient for us. The reception space has the most beautiful high ceilings with dreamy chandeliers which made the ambience feel intimate and elegant. The barn style fit our rustic/romantic theme. Working with the staff was incredibly easy and they were super helpful along the way. Andrea made sure that all our vendors were on the same page and she answered all our questions throughout the process. She ensured that the vendors had a detailed floor plan and was accommodating and updating it when changes were made. She honestly reduced a lot of the stress associated with bringing several vendors together while going over the plan for the wedding day. The venue also offers several other perks such as decor items that they provide which add a nice romantic touch to the space. There is also overnight parking for guests available which is great for guests. We were so happy to have our wedding at Sweeney Barn and will cherish all the beautiful memories we created there forever.

We are so happy to have used Sweeney Barn for our July wedding. We wanted something rustic, yet classy, as well as air-conditioned and handicap accessible. We are still getting compliments about Sweeney!

Sweeney Barn is a magical setting in every sense. The location and staff were brilliant. Our wedding was even more beautiful than our wildest expectations. All of the attendees were in love with the location, layout and design elements.

Sweeney Barn is the only venue we toured. Just walking up to it, you will know why. It is absolutely gorgeous! I remember during our tour, I was just in awe about how beautiful it was and on the day of our wedding, I was in even more awe seeing it all decorated for our wedding, it brought tears to my eyes. It is GORGEOUS, has heating and air conditioning, a nice bathroom, an elevator, and not to mention, so much decor that you are welcome to use for free! Not only is the venue itself amazing, all of the staff is amazing too! Everyone is super friendly and will answer any question you have. We got so many compliments on how beautiful our venue was from our wedding guests!

I cannot stress how wonderful Andrea and the Sweeney Barn team are. This gorgeous venue is Prince William County's hidden gem. The venue is stunning and well within budget. Andrea was professional, prompt, and kind. She answered every single question, email, and inquiry that I had. She was also very helpful when it came time to communicate with the other vendors we selected for our wedding. She was always there for my husband and I, as well as our families. She made the process easy & smooth. The venue itself is very charming and rustic while being elegant but not too over the top. Our friends and family fell in love with the venue just as much as we did. We are so glad that Sweeney Barn helped us with our special day. We even met one of the owners of Sweeney Barn on the day of our rehearsal. He was very down-to-earth and humble. With Andrea's help, everything fell into place. We couldn't have asked for a better place to get married.

My husband and I cannot say enough amazing things about Sweeney Barn. When we started touring venues in 2021, we both knew the moment we stepped inside Sweeney Barn that it was the venue for us. From the get go, the level of professionalism is next level and perfect for any couples out there eager to have transparency and easy communication. Although she was not the lead on our wedding day, Andrea, the General Manager, went above and beyond every step of the way. Not only did she help with our own questions or concerns, she would email and communicate with all other vendors and our coordinator to make things as easy and seamless as possible. Fast forward to our wedding day. Although we only got married a week ago, 10/29/22, our guests and family members have not stopped RAVING about our wedding venue and how spectacular everything looked. Several have even told us it was "the most fun wedding they've ever been to" - which was the exact vibe we wanted and SB nailed it perfectly! Another appeal and factor in our decision was the location! Sweeney Barn is a perfect location if, like us, you have lots of out of town guests and relatives. We were able to book multiple nearby hotel blocks and utilize a transportation service for a 10-15 min shuttle to and from the venue. There's a huge parking lot that guests are able to park and leave cars overnight as well. It made us happy knowing everyone could feel centralized and be able to spend time together, even outside of our wedding venue. We also were then able to use 2 Silos on the same road for our rehearsal dinner (cannot rave enough about the Black Sheep Restaurant as well) and to hang out with family & friends the day before. Regardless of the weather or season, SB is a perfect venue that checks all the boxes. I was so thrilled that we had the most gorgeous fall day, and we took advantage of the weather with an outdoor ceremony and an incredible outside photo shoot with the fall foliage. Then our guests were able to easily transition into the downstairs hall room for cocktail hour, before proceeding upstairs for the reception. Everything was clean, professional, and above and beyond our expectations. As the bride, I had a little "behind the scenes" sneak peak watching everything get set up by the staff and catering team, yet was still blown away by the vision they pulled together by the time of the reception. In the words of The Talking Heads: "This Must Be The Place." I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Andrea and the Sweeney Barn Team were absolutely delightful to work with as we prepared for our fall wedding. Wedding planning may be stressful, but the punctual, responsive, and thoughtful folks at Sweeney made our lives easy. We booked the venue sight un-seen during the height of the Covid pandemic. Andrea offered us an amazing virtual tour and patiently answered all of our questions. Even though we booked our venue almost two years ahead of time, we never felt like an after-thought or a couple that could be answered later. We always felt like a priority. Sweeney is staffed by true professionals. At every turn, Andrea was there to listen to our vision, help us understand how we could achieve it (offering enthusiasm when we could do something, and constructive guidance where we could not). Their approved vendor list is pretty non-restrictive, and they make allowances for unapproved vendors if they meet criteria that is pretty reasonable. You may even get lucky like we did - our catering company worked with the venue several times between us selecting them and the date of our wedding, so they were added to the approved vendor list ahead of our date and we got the benefit of not having to pay the (nominal and fair) extra fee. The venue is absolutely gorgeous in person. It offers a modern, yet rustic, look that can frame any event on its own, but is also the perfect canvas to add splashes of your own color and style. Sweeney Barn also offered several amenities that MANY of the barn/farm venues in VA do not offer: paved roads, functional/nice bathrooms, and access to medical facilities near by in case of an emergency. Overall, the reason to choose Sweeney Barn is obvious. Come for the looks, but stay for the world-class professional staff.

I can't say enough great things about Sweeney Barn! The barn is absolutely beautiful, the staff is extremely friendly, and our wedding was perfect!! I had a bridal party of 6 and we all fit perfectly in the private upstairs room.

Andrea and the entire team at Sweeney Barn were absolutely amazing to work with!! They were responsive in answering my many, many questions throughout the planning process and really went out of their way to make sure everything was as easy as possible for us. The venue itself is so versatile offering 3 different spaces for you to hold the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, each one unique and beautiful. Plus, the venue includes many décor items for use, which was super helpful. It ended up raining on our wedding day, but the professionalism and experience of the Sweeney Barn team ensured we were prepared with a back-up plan that we loved just as much, which really helped reduce the stress levels. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our dream wedding!

I got married here last week and it was such a beautiful venue! I originally toured in 2020 when having a big wedding seemed out of the picture. Andrea gave us our tour and was very welcoming and informative. She was honest, kind and very professional. We ultimately chose this venue because it was so beautiful and had so many amenities that came with it. There were hotels close by, restaurants, etc, and it also had a GREAT rain plan "B". So many venues we toured were just telling us we would get married in the reception space if it rained.... uh no thanks! Sweeney had just what we needed. They were very clean, and lived up to all of our expectations. We loved our wedding here!

This venue was everything we ever dreamed! Being able to have the reception and ceremony in the same location was exactly what we were looking for. Andrea was a delight to work with and helped us coordinate everything leading up to the event.

Sweeney Barn offered an incredible continuity of service throughout our experience originally booking in 2018 for our initial 2020 reception. They were so helpful and flexible rescheduling us two years in the future (when they were originally offering new 2021 dates). Andrea and her team were so responsive to our millions of questions, and it really was a beautiful day- Sweeney Barn offers so many design details that we needed very little else to style the space. We couldn't recommend them more!

Sweeney is an absolutely beautiful venue and we are so thrilled to have had our wedding there. Andrea and her staff were there for us with any questions that we had throughout the process and extremely patient with a lot of (and sometimes inadvertently repeated by us) questions. They were also very flexible with some minor layout and timing changes made a little later in the process. Due to rain, we had to make some day-of layout changes and Glynis, the venue's event representative, was extremely helpful getting everything sorted out and was extremely kind and helpful for us. The venue it's is absolutely gorgeous (our guests were obsessed with the silo staircase, which was also awesome for pictures) and we could not be any happier with our choice of venue and would highly recommend Sweeney to anyone.

Sweeney Barn is a breathtaking venue. My (now) wife and I were looking for a venue that holds up on its own because we lack decorative skills. We kept our wedding very simple and it turned out to be stunning. We absolutely loved the contrast of the crisp and bright downstairs area for our ceremony with the majestic wood barn structure upstairs for our reception. Our friends and family told us all night how impressed they were when they stepped through the front barn doors. In addition to the stunning structures, Andrea and Meghan are two absolute rockstars. They were communicative, steady, and prepared for everything we asked for. Can't go wrong with Sweeney Barn!

We had our wedding ceremony in Falls Church and Reception at Sweeney Barn in Manassas. The venue was absolutely beautiful and requires little decoration because it is already so stunning. I was hesitant at first but after going in person I was blown away with how beautiful it is. It is not a venue where you can do things yourself though. You are required to have a day of coordinator and florist to set up all decorations. This turned out to be so helpful and such a stress reliever. They also have a prefered vendor list where you have to choose someone on their catering list or you have to pay hefty amount of $750 if they are not on the list. The owner may be a little flexible about this though if it is someone they have already worked with. This was not a problem for us though it seems like they provide great options for every person's budget. They also have lots of decorations theres which saves on costs. A lot of vendors we had took me forever to decide on. After we went in person I knew right after this was the venue. My husband and I both like the barn aesthetic for wedding reception. This is a very fancy barn reception venue. We also had our tour with Kathy and almost went with her for our tour and she is incredible and so knowledgable. She has such a great personality and was so helpful! Everything went flawlessly on our wedding day and I felt no stress when it came time for the reception time!

Sweeney Barn was the easiest decision we made during wedding planning! We, like many other couples who got married in 2021, began wedding planning with so much uncertainty due to the pandemic. But Andrea and Katie at Sweeney Barn quickly put us at ease. They were so amazing and professional. I have never had a vendor respond so quickly and with the level of knowledge and thoughtfulness as Andrea. If you want to know the best photo locations, measurements of every nook in the barn, suggestions of event layout and decor based on the outdoor temperature 6 months and 8 days away, she will know it all. As for the venue itself, Sweeney Barn is beautiful inside and out! We loved the rustic, romantic feel of venue but still decked out with all the modern comforts (including an elevator and its own paved parking lot) that you'd want for your guests. Sweeney Barn also has an amazing inventory of on-theme decor (think lanterns, fairy lights, chairs, two types of ceremony arches) that you can use. The high ceilings and many chandeliers are always a wow-factor for guests. We loved our wedding venue and will always remember it fondly!

Not only was the actual venue absolutely stunning, but the Sweeney Barn team was a dream to work with. Andrea was always so accommodating and very quick to respond. We worked with Andrea to book Sweeney Barn for our wedding. In the entire planning process she was wonderful to work with. As a fellow wedding planner, I knew with her professional background that my fiancé and I were in good hands. She worked with us when we needed to postpone our wedding due to Covid-19 and was able to accommodate our schedule for our walk through and visits as we planned our wedding from across the country.

The moment my wife and I walked through Sweeney Barn's doors, we knew that it would be the perfect venue for our reception. We had our ceremony at a church, so we set the downstairs hall up for a cocktail hour, and the upstairs hall was set up for the reception. The venue was a wonderful backdrop for photos as was the stairwell in the silo. Andrea was amazing and always available for questions. She was so easy to work with and always had an answer for us, whatever arose. Their helpful list of preferred vendors made selecting our team so easy and Andrea made coordinating all the details worry-free.

Sweeney Barn is a gorgeous venue and working with Andrea is a delight. She is incredibly responsive, organized and truly puts the client first. The barn itself is incredibly unique and accessible for guests, not only in location but also having an elevator so getting to the upper level is a breeze (though the staircase is my favorite, so stunning!) I highly recommend any couple looking for a stellar venue and a confident venue manager to book this place ASAP!

We went from planning a 200+ wedding to an intimate ceremony, and Andrea was God sent. The preferred vendor list is very comprehensive, and the event spaces that they have (outside, lower level, and upper level) are the perfect canvases to make your visions and dreams come to life. I could not recommend Andrea or Sweeney Barn more!!!
