Sweet August Events

We could not have been more pleased with our experience working with Sweet August! They were extremely communicative, supportive, and helpful throughout the entire planning process. Amber worked as our coordinator and was an absolutely perfect fit for us; she understood everything we envisioned and made sure it came to life! It was truly like we had a friend or family member as our coordinator, she took so much care to make sure that we were enjoying every minute and made us feel at ease. We felt like our wedding was the best day of our lives and were able to be 100% present/enjoying the day because of Sweet August! They were excellent in every aspect of the process leading up to the wedding, the day of, and even afterwards when we have had small things to wrap up!

We hired SAE for our wedding in Gruene on 7/02. Brittany was absolutely amazing!! We were able to really enjoy our day because of Brittany and Zoey. They looked out for us in every way. We could not be more grateful to them. Brittany created our timeline and was quick to make adjustments when needed. I cannot recommend SAE enough!!

I hired SAE (Event Management package so 45 days out + day-of) for our Feb '22 wedding and worked with Danielle who we absolutely LOVED. She single-handedly kept me out of the looney bin in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding and made our event totally seamless. She went on a wild goose chase for this random table I was obsessed with (and found it!), had a great sense of humor during our venue walkthroughs and Zoom calls (I lived in Dallas but wedding was in San Antonio), and helped me tie up all the loose ends that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own. She always made me feel like I was the priority and made sure I wasn't compromising my vision of the day just because something might be easier for vendors, etc., and I was able to relax on the day without a second-guess that she had everything under control. My mother-in-law still talks about how much she loved her :) Thank you, Danielle, for being genuine and fun and wonderful at your job!!

Amber was truly one of the most amazing wedding planners I’ve ever worked with. I have assisted her on multiple weddings and her ability to task organize, adapt to any situation, stay positive, and execute such beautiful work goes truly unmatched. As I am new to the industry, She went out of her way to ensure I new exactly what to do and when to do it. All brides, families, vendors, and venue owners are always full of joy when working with her. Amber is a great asset to Sweet August and they have done an awesome job letting her grow in the industry. Any bride that chooses her will have such a smooth and great experience. We worked with Amber Morrill at SAE and could not be any happier!! Amber made the entire wedding planning process so easy. We had our wedding this past weekend and it exceeded all expectations. I used SAE to coordinate my wedding in New Braunfels and chose the day of styling package. My coordinator was Danielle and she was absolutely amazing from the rehearsal the day before to the last dance the night of. We did Zoom meetings since I live out of town so I didn't have to make the 3 hour drive up there and she helped me with any questions that I had and helped with my wedding day timeline. I handed over everything a week before the wedding and she made sure all of my vendors knew exactly what to do and when to be there. The timeline of the day was absolutely perfect and she and her assistant Karen kept me informed at all times and ran everything so smoothly which allowed me to enjoy the day without any stress. She was so sweet and I would recommend her services to any bride. Truly an amazing company to work with. (:

Hiring Sweet August Events was the best decision for our wedding. Our Coordinator, Amber, did a fantastic job and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went smoothly and most importantly was fun! Not living in the SA area, it was very helpful to have a planner and we chose the Assistant Please package. All of our recommended vendors were excellent and worked well together to make our wedding vision come true.

We hired Sweet August for our wedding in Boerne in October and had the BEST experience working with Amber as our Day of Coordinator! She went above and beyond to think through every little detail and made sure we had nothing to worry about on the big day! Katherine was my planner and she is so awesome! She is so easy to talk to and never said no to me, but came up with creative alternatives and suggestions! She is awesome at taking a vision and making it come to life. Her vendor relationships are PHENOMENAL and handled all the logistics so well. She goes above and beyond to give your big day that extra grace and just makes small details come to life. I literally did nothing day of and wasn't worried at all and everything came together so well. I admire her so much as a person!

We got married 9/25/21 Brittany Casey was our planner. Let me just say she was wonderful!!!!! She made the whole year of planning go smoothly! She helped us find wonderful vendors. We had an issue come up, and she went to bat for us!! The day of the wedding she was even more amazing! She kept us on time, she handled all the issues on her own so I wouldn’t freak out lol All the while her being about 31 weeks pregnant! She made our day perfect!! Forever grateful for her!

Our wedding planning journey literally began with me proposing to my now wife during the spring break before all heck broke loose. Katherine began helping with our wedding planning at the same time that she was having to reschedule, or in some cases replan other weddings. This was difficult for us to understand at first, but I assure you once the process got further along and our dates were priorities, she worked her tail off to ensure we were happy and taken care of. Her vendor recommendation and colleagues were all tremendous and it made it abundantly clear that good character builds good company. On the day of the wedding she was strong and capable which also helped her to be a calming presence both pre ceremony and into the evening. For anyone on the fence about the value of her assistance, I assure you it was well worth the piece of mind throughout. And guys, I have to admit, I very frugal, but dang was this the most elegant looking event I’ve ever been apart of. Katherine knocked it out of the park with the décor. I felt like a Rockefeller.

SAE was referred to me by a friend and I was so happy to see they came highly recommended on The Knot! However, I was so disappointed when I reached out to them over a week ago and have yet to receive a reply. Maybe they’re not in business anymore? That’s the only reason I can think I wouldn’t get a reply from a professional business. Super disappointed.

Choosing Sweet August Events (Janell) to plan our wedding was the best decision we made! I cannot say enough good things about the amazing experience we had! Janell and her team are caring, compassionate people that are excellent at what they do. Janell helped us plan the most amazing wedding and then helped us through having to postpone it (due to COVID). As a destination bride, she accommodated my schedule and trips down to San Antonio masterfully. She has gone above and beyond anything we expected and her team of vendors are unbeatable. Every person I interacted with at Janell's recommendation was a pleasure and made everything so easy! Janell is also extremely artistic and has great vision. We were lucky enough to choose sweet August Events to help us plan our wedding in March 2020 in San Antonio. Janelle was our coordinator, and even though we had a small wedding and ceremony, she made us feel like we were the most important event of the year. She answered every phone call, email, and text promptly and professionally. Every vendor that she suggested was the absolute best choice! As the MOB, I wanted to enjoy the day and relax. Janelle made this all happen, and when I miscounted the number of bouquets for the bridesmaids, she handled it effortlessly! The wedding and reception were beyond our expectations thanks to Janelle and her staff. I would hire her again in a heartbeat! Thank you Janelle! Memories to last a lifetime thanks to her!

Attention all brides: you may think you’re very type A (like me) and don’t need any help with your big day BUT I promise you do. Without SAE, specifically Janell, I would’ve been lost! We were able to plan most of the major items (like venue, food, DJ) before contacting SAE but queue ALL the other things that I either didn’t even think of or completely forgot about. Janell was a calming force for me, my now husband and my mother. We were able to relax and enjoy our big day because we knew Janell had contacted each and every vendor, thought of all the things you can possibly think of, and would be there in case anything went awry. Katherine made all my dreams come true for our January 2020 wedding. Katherine was recommend to me by a friend who had worked with Katherine on her wedding. I was a bride who did NOT need a wedding planner-- I knew I had it all under control... However, after much discussion with my now-husband and friends, I knew I wanted someone who could take the reins and help me have the time of my life on my wedding day. Enter Janell! Janell was absolutely amazing and was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding! I asked her to help with month-of coordination since I was planning our day from afar. Katherine Lopez and her staff at Sweet August Events are AMAZING! I live out of town and was nervous about planning a 300-person wedding in San Antonio from so far away. They nailed it. Their professionalism and recommendations totally brought our vision to life. Katherine is very pragmatic and creative when it comes to both design and budget. I love this about her because she was able to transform all of our wild ideas into reality. (Seriously. I had a lot of really, really wild ideas. Like placing a 360 photo booth in the middle of our cocktail hour without obstructing the pathway or bar. Or hanging a 17’ neon sign from the ceiling to make it look like it was floating in mid-air. Katherine made it work. She is literally a magician.) Design, logistics, recommending and negotiating with vendors - SAE did it all. We cannot thank them enough for working so hard to make our weekend so special.

I had the privilege of having Katherine as my lead designer/planner/coordinator for my January 4th, 2020 wedding at La Cantera Resort! There are truly not enough words to explain how thankful I am for her. In the midst of my wedding planning, she had life changes going on that she handled with such grace and poise and never once let her clients feel forgotten. She is the definition of strength and an incredible role model. You can call her to talk about life and then chat about wedding business. She instantly makes you feel like her best friend and you can tell she truly cares about her clients. My planning process was so easy all because of her. I trusted her with every decision and I am so thankful I did. Katherines attention to detail is second to none. She is respectful of your time, budget and requests. Each wedding she does is one of a kind and she will bring your vision to life. Not only was planning amazing, but the day of was so smooth. The coordination she has with her team and vendors is perfection. There was nothing to ever stress about because I knew Katherine was on it. If you are hesitant about hiring a coordinator, let me assure you that you need one and the best in the business is Sweet August Events. Our day (and planning process) was an absolute dream and it was all thank to Katherine and her team!!

Where do I begin with Katherine and the SAE team?! This team knows what they’re doing from top to bottom! Every detail was handled with ease. I was a bride who thought she would love wedding planning, and hated every minute of it. I am so very thankful for Katherine for swooping in and taking over each little detail as our month of coordinator. Our first consult with her flew by, though we were together for hours. I’ve never felt such a sense of relief as I did after meeting with her! She asked all the right questions, said she would handle every little thing - and she did! We had guests complimenting her day-of and are still receiving compliments to this day. We even had groomsmen who were impressed with her, and we all know groomsmen typically don’t give their opinions and/or roll their eyes at wedding coordinators...but Katherine appeals to all personalities and still gets everything done! Our wedding was in May, following a very difficult time in Katherine’s family with the loss of a loved one. I cannot compliment Katherine and her team enough for handling such a difficult scenario with such grace. I never once felt my wedding was on the back burner while her team seamlessly transitioned to handle any questions we had in the few weeks leading up to our big day. The SAE team ROCKS and you and your wedding day deserve them!

We used Sweet August Events to assist in planning our wedding and we would not have survived the planning process without them! Katherine helped keep us calm with her positive energy and ensured that we got everything done when we needed to do it. She called vendors, set up meetings, offered suggestions, and also encouragement. The day of the event went smoothly and we did not notice anything that could have been done better. From the moment we walked into the SAE studio we felt something different. This is a group of women who truly care about creating a day for couples that not only meets but exceeds their expectations. Our consultant became our main point of contact during what could've been an extremely stressful time and made everything seamless, easy, and fun. When it came to how we envisioned the entire day to go the entire team was attentive, knowledgeable, and receptive. We used Katherine as our day-of wedding planner. Although we had lots of details planned out and sorted through, we still forgot a few things (our marriage license the day of the rehearsal and payment for our musicians the day of the wedding). Katherine was so helpful and drove back to our home to pick those things up and get them where they needed to be! She and Molly were both helpful on the wedding day with picking up and dropping things off between the house, church and our reception venue. Coordination at the church had a few little hiccups, as we felt that SAE could have done a better job of coordinating the movement of bride and groom, since we were trying not to see each other before the ceremony. However, everything went beautifully! They did a great job of communicating with all of the vendors. Katherine has such a sweet spirit and we appreciate all she did to help make our wedding day so special!

Wow I CANNOT say enough good things about the ladies at SAE. They made sure every step of the way that vendors were taken care of and we could have a 'care-free' wedding. The event was spectacular- I still have people talking about how well everything came together and how beautiful the event was. Janell and Katherine worked with me to make sure we picked vendors that worked well for us and were in our budget. I had people asking me if I was stressed out, and I can say because of the ladies at SAE, I was the farthest from it. If I did it all over again- I wouldn't change a thing and I'd make sure Janell and Katherine were by my side again!

My husband and I will celebrate our one year anniversary in a couple of months and when I look back on it one thing stands out - Katherine and Sweet August Events! Over and over myself, husband and our families comment on how enjoyable she made our day. From planning every detail beforehand to making sure we were fed and never without a drink in our hand, Katherine is a true gem - inside and out!

I don’t even know where to begin other than saying that KATHERINE IS THE BEST WEDDING PLANNER IN THE WORLD!! I got engaged in late December 2016 while living in Chicago and booked a wedding date for September 2017 in Gruene, TX. The idea of planning a destination wedding in under a year had me stressed but Katherine completely soothed my fears! Even from the first time I spoke with her on the phone, I knew she was a professional. Everyone kept asking me throughout the planning process if I was stressed and my answer was ALWAYS no because I knew Katherine had everything under control! Even the weeks right before the wedding I was stress-free! I gave Katherine my vision and she delivered 100%; she knew things I would like before I did. She knows all the best vendors and made the process so enjoyable and exciting for my fiancé and I. For instance, she arranged meetings with many of our vendors when we were visiting TX; so helpful!! So many of our guests said everything was absolutely perfect and gorgeous and it’s all thanks to her! On top of planning everything, she also did all of our flowers and they were BEAUTIFUL! I had an idea of what I wanted but let her take the wheel. I didn’t know exactly what the bouquets would look like but they were seriously exactly what I had wanted! She is SO GOOD at planning weddings and I can’t imagine my wedding without her! She is the sweetest, positive, and most creative person!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I cannot even begin to describe how incredible Katherine and her SAE team were throughout the wedding planning process! I work fulltime and go to school at night, so I knew I would not have time to attend the vendor meetings, discuss plans, etc. And as a total control freak, I thought that would make me lose my mind. Katherine put me entirely at ease every step of the way. You can tell she really strives not just to plan a beautiful party, but to design an event that matches the couple. And even though I could not be very involved, she somehow got me entirely right. On the night of the wedding, she transformed a venue that has been used for many of my friends' weddings into an entirely different space. It was incredible what she was able to accomplish with flowers, furniture, and linens. My guests barely recognized the space. Her team was on point every step of the way. I worked with 4 or 5 women who were kind, sharp, and ready help in any way they could. Overall, Katherine is such a joy to work with. She is so passionate about her job and even moreso about her clients. She is not only amazingly talented, but also kind, hard working, and loving in all she does. Katherine was my saving grace during a happy but extremely stressful time in my life, and I will always be grateful for her help creating the best day for my husband and me. Sweet August Events were my day planners for my wedding on August 5, 2017 at Kendall Plantation and they were INCREDIBLE! They prepared a timeline, set up all of my decor, and coordinated with every single vendor. They came to my rehearsal AND ceremony (even though the ceremony was 25 minutes from the reception) and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of my wedding. They constantly kept asking me and my husband if we needed anything and were bringing us water and our favorite alcoholic beverages the entire night. Even though I didn't use them as my full time planner, if you just take a look at any of their social media accounts you can see how INSANELY talented they are at wedding planning - their style is elegant yet eclectic and is amazing! Janell and Katherine (the owner) were nothing short of amazing for my big day and I highly recommend using Sweet August Events for your wedding or event!

Deidra Savage with SAE was my wedding planner and I simply can't say enough about how amazing it was to work with her. She truly took all of the stresses away with both the planning process and the actual wedding day. She truly went above and beyond the call of duty and my intimate backyard wedding was magical!! SAE has access and so many great relationships with so many vendors in the San Antonio area and I really benefited greatly from those relationships that the owner Katherine has built. Can't say enough about the SAE team and everything they did to make my day so perfect!

Katherine and her team are amazing!! From the beginning, Katherine was kind, helpful and really worked to understand what we wanted. We even had to change our wedding date due to a deployment, and she couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. She really grasped the vision my mom and I had, and was incredibly patient with our many opinions. Her team of ladies also helped out the weekend of the wedding and they were wonderful! I can't imagine using anyone else in town. She has great relationships with many vendors in town and you can completely trust her to let you have a great stress free wedding.

Katherine. Is. Amazing! I can't say enough great things about Katherine and her team. I met with 2 other planners before meeting with Katherine. Neither of them seemed to click with me and truly understand my vision for our wedding. As soon as we met with Katherine, I knew she was our planner! We were engaged for two years before we actually said, "I do." The theme of our wedding ended up changing completely and Katherine never once hesitated. She completely immersed herself in each design and came up with some of the most uniquely beautiful ideas. Friends and family are still complimenting how incredible our wedding was. Every single thing, down to the smallest detail, was perfectly executed. Katherine was a blessing to our wedding!

Katherine and her team made this wedding a night to remember! She is a dynamo! She put her heart and soul into our plans and handled it efficiently, professionally, calmly and with a smile on her face! She let us enjoy the day of the wedding and treasure the moment and every memory made. Her husband, Chris, did our video and he was just as amazing! They both work so hard to make your event a special one and I would highly recommend them!

Katherine was amazing to work with! Our wedding was a destination wedding. Wedding was in San Antonio while our hometown is 5 hours away. I don't know what I would have done without her and her dream team. She is very detail oriented and creative. She was able to take my idea and add her special touch that made it just perfect. Leading up to the wedding Katherine helped me nail down several last minute tasks . Her and her team did an amazing job the day of the wedding. Everything was organized and flowed very smoothly. Great and friendly personalities to work with. I didn't have to stress about getting everything set up because Katherine and her team had it all under control. I couldn't believe how beautiful everything was decorated! Definitely worth the expense, my wedding would not have been the same without Katherine!!

Reba Hall was my wedding planner and let me be honest she was AMAZING. She was there to make all my wild ideas come into a beautiful wedding, while being truthful enough to keep my wedding day for becoming a Pintrest cliche. It was amazing to have a planner that was so close in age with me it felt like planning with a friend. Also when using Sweet August Events you get great little deals with other vendors.

REBA HALL is pure magic. While there were a few things I knew exactly how I wanted Reba was there to make the rest of it come to life. She was great at seeing my ideas but was also wonderful at pulling back the reigns to prevent my wedding from becoming a Pinterest cliché. It was great working with someone close to my age who I could really relate with. She is the total package as a wedding planner. Sweet August is lucky to have her under there wing.

One of the best wedding decisions we made was hiring Sweet August Events. Even after our very first conversation, I could tell that we were incredibly lucky to have found Reba to be our day-of coordinator! As a Pinterest-loving photographer, I had a pretty specific vision for our wedding, but I wanted to hand over the logistics on the day of the ceremony so that I could actually be present and enjoy the day with my husband. What I didn't realize was that in hiring Reba as our day-of coordinator, we were also getting a wedding planner for the final two weeks before the ceremony. After I met with her to hand over all of my planning documents, she went straight to work preparing a detailed timeline for us, contacting vendors, and squaring away details. I had been dreading having to follow up with all of our vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page, but Reba did that for me. She just worked her behind-the-scenes magic and everything fell into place, despite having to move to our Plan B due to torrential rain. I could tell that Reba totally understood the style I was going for, and she was lightning fast with communication at all times! No matter what time I texted her, I would receive a reply back within seconds. Seriously, I don't know how she did it! She was so patient with all of my requests. On the day of the wedding, she anticipated all of the helpful details needed for things to run seamlessly. It was like we had a personal wedding coach with us at all times! She taught us how to walk down the aisle, showed us the easy way to cut the cake, and gave us tips for our confetti exit. She was always one step ahead of us, solving problems before they became problems. We are SO grateful that she helped make our wedding the best day ever, and we wholeheartedly recommend hiring Sweet August Events!

I cannot express my appreciation enough for Katherine Lopez, with Sweet August Events. She went out of her way to make sure everything was exactly how it was supposed to be. First off, she is super sweet and a complete listener to anything you might want or need. Second-- She agreed to do and create our DESTINation wedding from afar, she did everything over the phone and through emails and communicating online and it turned out perfect. She found our perfect venue, found our amazing photographer (who traveled along with us), and helped us decide on our perfect caterer and cake baker. She listened to every idea we had and put everything into a complete picture to create the most perfect and beautiful wedding. Again, I have so much appreciation for Katherine and her team, (including her husband who was there to support her through every task at the wedding), and I recommend her for any wedding or event you need help with. She is amazing and I love her and can't thank her enough!!!

Katherine and her team at Sweet August Events were the best thing that could've happened to my wedding! I'm a bit of a control freak, so it takes a very special kind of person to get me to relax... ESPECIALLY about my wedding day! With my mom living out of town and me working full-time, I literally would not have been able to do it without Katherine. Since I had a really strong idea about what I wanted the day to look and feel like, we selected the "Assistant Please" package. From our first meeting to the carriage ride away from the reception, Katherine was on board with my vision. She recommended vendors from all over Texas that she has really strong relationships with. We worked together to compile a dream team that made every guest marvel at the attention to detail. Sweet August and the team she pulled together made my wedding day beautiful. But on top of that (and more importantly) she helped me actually enjoy my day. I was able to sit around and relax with my family and best friends while she made the magic happen. I honestly don't know what I would've done without her.

I don't know what we we have done with out Katherine! We live in New Jersey and my husband insisted that we hire a wedding planner. Best decision ever! Katherine is cool calm and collected. Steered us in the right direction and was very pleasant to work with. When it was all over with there wasn't a thing that went wrong! Katherine works her ass off! I would highly recommend her

She is a kind soul with an intuitive power to read brides and measure up to their own unique style and expectations. I was surprised how well-matched her design board was with my vision. I had a destination wedding (in Cali) and Katherine seamlessly made/used her existing nation-wide connections to provide me with the best/affordable vendors. I seriously still think about my wedding food to date. Her entire team made our day special. SAE goes above and beyond for every single client. They are worth every penny!!! I am an extremely busy, OCD, detailed oriented, picky individual – I was truly blessed to have Katherine and her team in my life through this vital time.

My wedding was held in San Antonio, but I live in Midland (5 hours away). I knew I was going to need help with my wedding since I didn't live anywhere near my chosen location. I interviewed several wedding planners in the area and Katherine with Sweet August Events was the most impressive. She took care of everything beautifully... She had lists of vendors in the area she recommended, she was always available to answer all my questions, and she was very easy to work with. As we got closer to the wedding the amount of work Katherine and her team put in to make my day perfect was incredible. I never expected to be a calm bride, but my wedding day couldn't have gone any smoother and I attribute that to Katherine and the rest of the girls who handled everything. The venue decorations looked gorgeous, my desert bar blew me away, and the photographer was fantastic.... all done by or recommended by Katherine. I couldn't be happier with the way everything worked out and how my day went.

My husband and I used Sweet August Events for our wedding in March of this year. We worked with Katherine and Janelle and they were wonderful. This group is exactly what you would expect in a wedding coordinator! They knew all the right places and faces and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Sometimes (haha always) I felt overwhelmed with the planning since we were planning from Dallas and did not know the first thing about planning a wedding enough to even know what I could and could not ask them for help with! But they were always so open and approachable and whenever we would run into issues it was easy to sort through them to make sure everything was taken care of! The best part of their services is the wedding week. They really make it so easy to take things off your hands so that you and your family can just enjoy the night! The timeline was a GODSEND and so are they! I highly recommend this company and these ladies.

Reba and Katherine are true professionals and helped to make my day over the top amazing! I can honestly say that the day of the wedding we (my husband and I) were stress free and really enjoyed every second. They understood the vision and helped bring it to life! At the beginning of my wedding process, I had no intention of using a wedding planner. I had no attendants, so it was just myself, my mom, and my husband doing most of the work. We figured out the majority of the big things (i.e. church, venue, food, theme, flowers, etc.) but my mom suggested I consider a day of planner to help the process smoothly. I was initially unsure about it and thought it might be an unnecessary expense. (I was lucky enough to have my parents pay for my big day, so I was trying to save them some money). However, once I started thinking about all the details, I realized I needed a "producer" to help our big day go off without a hitch. This is where Katherine Lopez from Sweet August Events came in. Katherine is one of the most amazing people I've ever worked with. Her knowledge, advice, and help were invaluable. She answered any and all of my questions and helped me feel more at ease about my wedding day. Without her help, I'm not sure how things would have gone. It is safe to say that I put all of my trust in her and she delivered. I can't even think about what it would have been like had Katherine not helped, because I'm sure it would have been a mess! We felt so blessed to have Katherine in our lives helping us navigate our special day. If you are on the fence about whether or not to get a wedding planner, just go for it! You will not regret it! Sweet August Events was recommended to us by a friend of ours. This friend described Katherine as an incredibly talented and God-loving women with a mission to share her ministry and skills with everyone around her. It was a goal of ours to only surround ourselves with vendors that were close to us and shared in our values and beliefs. After researching many coordinators, I found myself coming back to her page, and literally watching every single video over and over. There was not one single event I did not fall in love with! I instantly knew I had to have her! At the time of our engagement, I had just finished grad school and my fiance was in his last year. We weren't too sure of how our budget would unfold. I sent Katherine multiple emails describing our situation and how I envisioned our wedding. I was so worried that I would not be able to afford her! Katherine quickly reassured me of a package that perfectly suited our needs. Needless to say, I immediately sent in my deposit!! In the year leading up to our wedding, Katherine was always available to answer any and all my questions and concerns. She met with me at our venue which was a good 4 hour drive for her, bringing her sweet family and all. Katherine met with us in her precious office to pick out wedding invitations, decor, flowers, and many other details. Katherine is an open book, transparent, professional, sweet, and responsible. Her style is unique and she is extremely flexible with drawing in all of our ideas. Our wedding day was nothing short of perfection! I'm not sure how she did it, but somehow, Katherine was able to climb inside my head and flawlessly execute my vision! As mentioned, my husband and I were very conscious about how we spent our budget and Katherine went above and beyond to meet and exceed our wants and needs! She was extremely accommodating and found a way to make our budget-friendly wedding a fairy-tale come true! With every wedding there are mishaps, however, Katherine did an extraordinary job (behind the scenes) at making our wedding appear as if nothing went wrong! She answered every question, contacted each vendor, and delegated every task making our wedding planning journey a breeze. We were able to enjoy each other, our guests, and we danced all night long without one single worry! My husband and I wouldn't change one thing about our special day! From a guys perspective, Katherine was very aware of all that goes into making this day unique and special for us. She knew when and how to keep me involved and valued my opinion. This wasn’t just a girl planned wedding but a family event that celebrated our union, and SAE was able to embody that sentiment. Katherine and Reba were able to work every detail out before, during and after the celebration and allowed for us to enjoy every aspect of our day. I took moments throughout the ceremony/reception where I considered how I would have completed any of the tasks they performed and realized how essential they are. I will rant and rave about SAE to all who will be partaking in any event for years to come. I cant say enough about this company. SAE was able to go above and beyond what is expected from a service company and treated this day as her own. We truly do not know what we would have done without Sweet August Events! I could relive that day over and over again! We can’t express how grateful we are to have found Katherine! We love you and THANK YOU for everything!

I can honestly say my wedding would not have been what it was without Katherine and her team at SAE! It was an amazing experience working with someone nearly every day for a year and a half who was always on top of things, organized, inventive, creative, supportive, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on or a listener to vent to when the stress kicked in!!! Katherine has a raw talent for wedding visions of all colors and sizes and does a wonderful job at taking your unique vision and bringing it to fruition, not matter what the budget!
