Working with Dori from Sweet Laurel Events was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was incredibly organized, kind, and attentive. She met with me often and maintained excellent communication with both myself and all our vendors. Dori was involved throughout the entire planning process, always bringing creative ideas for decor and planning that perfectly fit our vision.
She created an impeccable timeline for the day and made me feel so special every step of the way. On the wedding day itself, everything went flawlessly thanks to her and her team. She was completely organized, guided my husband and me seamlessly, and ensured we always had food and drinks at hand. Because of Dori, we were able to relax and truly enjoy our special day without worrying about a single detail.

My family has worked with Laura and her team on both my wedding and my sisters wedding. I enjoyed her so much during my sisters, that I knew I wanted to work with her again for planning my own. My sister and I had very different weddings and Laura executed my idea to perfection. She worked with me for a year planning our literal dream wedding in New Orleans. Being a destination wedding, she had to coordinate vendors from all over, and work through the complications of planning a wedding from afar. She handled an absolutely everything for me. She kept me informed, would meet with me when I needed (even if just to alleviate me being stressed), and worked with me to execute what most people at our wedding says was the best wedding they had ever been to. Laura had to deal with some difficult family happenings and handled everything with such grace. Her and Kendall were my absolute safety nets during the days leading up to and wedding weekend. Everything went so smoothly wedding day, thanks to them. Laura immediately understood my vision and made it happen and I could not be more grateful to her for that. Aside from being great at her job, she and Kendall are genuinely good people who I just enjoyed to be around. Was actually super sad for the whole process to be over. I couldn’t recommend Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events enough. Thank you Laura and Kendall!!!

I could not say enough great things about the team at Sweet Laurel. After the initial phone conversation, my mother and I knew we did not need to look any further for event coordinators/planners. From the start we knew that our planner Kendall would deliver exceptional service from start to finish, and that she did. Kendall always listened to our inspirations, offered professional advice and guidance, was attentive, communicated in a timely manner, and paid close attention to detail. Prior to the wedding day she presented a design board which showed how our inspirations would come together for the wedding day. On wedding day Kendall and her assistant Brooke worked diligently to make sure all decor and details were properly put in place, to the point they exceeded our expectations. In the last planning stage, Kendall created a timeline which she had previously reviewed with all vendors. This timeline was so well executed that there weren't any setbacks/delays during our entire event and my entire wedding party knew what to expect and when to expect it. Once the wedding was over these ladies packed up EVERYTHING, no one in my wedding party or family had to lift a finger. My reason for hiring Sweet Laurel was because along with my fiancé and family, I wanted to enjoy our wedding day, and with Kendall's thorough planning and professional commitment we were able to enjoy the entire weekend. If you are looking for an enthusiastic planner who will provide exceptional service and true professionalism you will not be disappointed with Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events.
My wedding day was the most precious, dreamy and beautiful day I could’ve ever asked for. And that couldn’t have been possible without Sweet Laurel Events. Post wedding blues are a thing but one reason I am so sad is because my time working with Dori has come to an end. From the consultation appointment, I was so impressed with how sweet Laura was and how she remembered the small personal details from my questionnaire. I met with a few other planners but decided to go with SLE due to their personal touch and effort to get to know me as an individual.
Dori was the lead planner for my event and she was incredible. From day 1 she was extremely attentive and was always available to answer any questions and guide me through the process. She created the most beautiful design board and all of her vendor recommendations were great. She was always there to calm my nerves, give me advice or even listen to me vent.
We had a couple of mishaps during the wedding day (my husband forgot his pants at home and my veil comb was on backwards) but she immediately stepped in with a solution (and a hot glue gun). My bridal party and family were so impressed with how prepared she was and how smoothly the ceremony and reception took place.

Dori & the Sweet Laurel team are incredible! Early on in the wedding planner search, my wife and I met with many companies across the central Texas area and we knew as soon as we met Dori we found our planner! It was evident that she knew the industry very well, had cultivated many positive relationships, would be able to set our expectations clearly, stick within budget, and was EXCITED to make our vision come to life. Over the year we worked with her, she was always polite, responsive, detail oriented, budget conscious, creative and hard working. She handled vendor hiccups with little stress on our end and always made sure we got what we wanted. Not only was Dori great at her job, she is so lovely to chat and hang out with - this is incredibly important given the amount of time you will spend together!!
Her experience, connections, and wisdom enabled us to have a smooth and enjoyable wedding planning experience. We could not have done what she did on our own (and within budget). During the actual wedding weekend, everything Dori was involved in was handled very professionally and organized. There were some changes to the venue that she was able to work around without hesitation and without any stress to my wife and I. She went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was executed beautifully and to our expectation (even Cricuting custom table decals). My wife and I, along with all of our guests, were stunned by the experience that Dori was able to provide for us. We could not have asked for a better planning team and are truly thankful for Dori & the Sweet Laurel for all of their efforts. We eagerly await the next opportunity we get to work with Sweet Laurel.
If you’re on the fence about whether to hire a wedding planner - just do it and do it with Sweet Laurel. You need these ladies (and Roy) in your corner. You will not regret it.
Oh gosh, Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events is seriously the best. The sweetest people who will go above and beyond to make the wedding planning process and day-of so smooth and easy! Kendall was my lead planner and she is simply AMAZING. She was always available to answer any questions that I came up with during the planning process and easy any anxieties I had leading up to the wedding day. On the day of the wedding I felt so calm because I knew the set-up and coordination was in the best hands. I truly can’t be thankful enough for that. I really was able to just slow down and enjoy my wedding day because of the Sweet Laurel team. Wedding planning can be pretty stressful, but I promise, if you have Sweet Laurel by your side you will always feel heard, supported, and at-ease the for the most special day of your life!
I highly recommend Sweet Laurel Events for your planning purposes! Kendall was so amazing for our September wedding in New Braunfels. She provided excellent guidance and timely responses for our questions. We had great references to other vendors and problem-solving tools throughout our process.. At the event she made the entire process, with all the little details, seem effortless. As the bride, I had no stress. She and her team orchestrated the event perfectly. I also made connections with others from the Sweet Laurel team, who were equally superb.
I interviewed several other companies in the general Austin-San Antonio area, and the coordination package absolutely met my needs. I highly recommend Sweet Laurel!

Dori Draa is a top notch wedding planner! She made my daughter’s dream of a beautiful, fun, joy filled event a reality. She was always energetic, happy, confident and just so much fun to be around. My husband and I live 1,000 miles away and of course I was concerned that it would be difficult to have all the details just right. From the beginning it was clear that I had nothing to worry about. Dori went above and beyond our expectations. She quickly understood the vision and made so many wonderful suggestions. Our guests all had such a good time. Every vendor Dori suggested was professional, talented and quite honestly a pleasure. We are still hearing comments like “best wedding ever!” Most importantly my daughter and her husband had the wedding of their dreams! No stress, just lots of laughter and love!

Wow, just wow! Laura and her team were AMAZING from start to finish and we were delighted with every little (and big) thing! We knew the wedding would be complicated and challenging – a two-day event, at the family ranch, out in the country – but Laura and her team rose to the occasion like the true champs they are. This was not her first rodeo and her experience and expertise were apparent from the beginning of the process through to the last moment. Laura's taste and style level are superb and she is flexible and responsive to feedback and input. She is extremely experienced, meticulous in her planning, with tremendous attention to each and every detail to make the wedding unforgettable and she is completely unflappable – truly, grace under pressure. Laura and Kendall came out several days before the event and stayed late each evening to ensure everything was perfect - I don’t know where they found the energy….AND she’s extremely nice and working with her is a pleasure! Something we had not realized when we decided to work with Laura was that she also has relationships with an ALL-STAR team of vendors – EVERY vendor with whom we worked was top notch and it was clear they had tremendous professional and personal regard for each other. highly professional, timely and organized. Set us up with some truly incredible vendors (cakes, DJ, draping and flowers stand out) and was great at making sure we had realistic expectations of timing and how people would act during the event. As a result, the entire event went off without a hitch despite involving busing people 40min to and from the venue and we are still getting people telling us how it was the most fun wedding they had ever been too. So grateful to Laura and the whole crew!
Hiring Sweet Laurel Events was the best decision I made. Laura and her team are the best! She was the calming voice when we were getting overwelmed. No question was too much and there were alot! So dedicated, helpful and hardworking. I feel that one of her real strengths is take your vision and turning it into something magical. Laura has amazing vendor connections. We received countless compliments on all aspects of the wedding, from the ceremony, to the bar, florist, music and food. We worked with Laura for over a year. We are sad our time was over but so happy and grateful we had Laura to guide us thru this process. It was such a special day even a cold, overcast February morning turned into a sunny 70 degree afternoon. I know Laura made that happen too!
Laura and her team are the best of the best. I had a short engagement (5 months) and did the full-service planning package. They worked quickly and efficiently to find me the most incredible vendors for our wedding day. From the beginning of wedding day to the very end of the night, I was blown away by Laura and Kendall. They helped bring our design vision to life and it was exactly how we pictured it. My experience with Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events was fantastic! Our lead planner was very responsive to emails and helped us every step of the way. Our day of coordinators were extremely attentive and made sure to double check any changes with me to make sure that everyone was on the same page. Our lead planner also took into account certain aspects of the wedding that were important to us and paid extra attention to detail. I would highly recommend Sweet Laurel and more specifically our lead coordinator to anyone planning a wedding or in need of coordination services!
Dori is truly amazing! She went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was all we dreamed it would be! I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was throughout the process! She was always accessible, communicative, and honest and always made sure our wants and needs were a priority for her. Her skills, creativity and positive attitude make her the BEST of the BEST!!
I don’t even know where to start. We hired Sweet Laurel Events halfway through wedding planning when things started to get overwhelming. We did the wedding coordination package, but it was so much more than that for a reasonable price. Even though we did a bulk of the planning ourselves, they were able give us vendor recommendations and were available 24/7 to answer the millions of questions we had! We had Danielle and Dori on our wedding day, and just WOW. Everything went flawlessly and I can’t even imagine the things they handled behind the scenes that made the day go smooth for us. They set up all of my personal decor and made sure all vendors and set-up were perfect. We got so many compliments about how organized the whole day was and our guests were shocked when we told them that we had coordinators handling everything. We even had some guests say “Wow, we didn’t even notice them there at all!” They put a very detailed timeline together for us and we can 1000% say that having every minute of your wedding day planned is essential. Danielle made sure that we were taken care of and stress-free all day, even making sure that we were eating and had a drink in our hand as soon as our cocktail hour started!
At the beginning, I was the bride that was going to do it all myself to save as much money as possible. A couple weeks into planning & I knew I needed help so I reached out to a coordinator that was recommended by my venue, Sweet Laurel Events. I can’t say enough good things about them & Dori Draa! She was so good about taking all the stress off my shoulders. She took care of every detail. Not only that but she was the sweetest & I felt comfortable in having her help me.
The last thing any bride needs, is to be stressed out the day of the wedding about even the minor details, Dori made it her mission to make sure I was at ease & taken care of during the day! She took care of my guest, the groom & myself exceptionally! We highly recommend Sweet Laurels Events & especially Dori Draa! She’s the best!
I am so grateful to have worked with Laura & her team! For our wedding, we turned my parents backyard into a venue and there is no way I could have pulled it off without them. There were so many moving parts (many of which I wouldn't have even thought of!) and I had full confidence that it would all be handled. Even though my husband and I were only engaged for 8months and got married on the most popular day of the year, Laura used her network to find us incredible vendors that were all such a pleasure to work with. Their "week of" & "day of" support & execution totally blew me away. Laura and her team were just as invested in the over all vision and little details as I was, and put so much time and effort into the execution. They are truly experts at running an event and there is nothing they haven't seen before. They made our wedding day a huge success and I recommend them highly!!

I can’t say enough about how amazing Laura and her team are. She truly became a friend throughout this whole process and I could’ve have asked for a better person to help plan such a special day. I think one of the hardest things following the wedding was realizing I wouldn’t be talking to Laura as regularly. I’m going to have to find some other event to plan! Haha From the first appointment I knew I would be in good hands with Laura. She is classy, has great experience, personable, and creates absolutely perfect events. We hired Laura to be our day-of coordinator for our wedding, and our wedding day went so incredibly smooth! She created a timeline for us that was executed flawlessly, kept track of all vendor arrival times, set up personal decor exactly as we wanted, ran the rehearsal (which we did the day of the wedding, and worked perfectly fine), and ensured that we were always completely taken care of during the wedding day. She even helped capture some candid moments with the Polaroid camera we brought, which was super sweet and I know we will treasure those memories for ever. It felt great to be able to let go of worries during our wedding day and just enjoy. We were able to do that because we had such confidence in Laura, and she met all of our expectations!

You will not find a better wedding planner than Sweet Laurel Weddings! As we lived several hours from our venue, we realized how valuable Laura was to all of our wedding decisions. She made our daughter's wedding day so special. Because of her personal connection to all of our families, as well as her professionalism, the day was simply perfect!
Laura was an awesome person to work with through the whole wedding process, she is a true pro and will make your day run so smooth you’ll have no idea anything went wrong! (By slim chance it does ha ha) She has great design ideas and is very creative if you don’t have an exact plan for your days layout. Their team is highly thought of with a lot of vendors in the area, which speaks volumes. Just a nice, welcoming person which is needed in the craziness that is planning a wedding. Choose these guys - you won’t regret it!!
I'm pretty sure I cried once the wedding was over because it meant I wouldn't be talking to Laura everyday anymore. I had no idea what it meant to plan a wedding and originally we hired Laura as a partial planner but quickly realized we couldn't live with out her! She is the most organized, sweet, and knowledgeable in all things wedding person that I know. My daughter and her fiance, had selected the majority of their vendors before deciding upon a wedding planner. We needed someone to coordinate the event, ensure vendors were aware of times and where to set up, create a timeline before and during wedding day, and needed advice and ideas on several other items.

Laura was a huge asset to our day! I went in already knowing a lot about what I wanted when it came to design and vibe, but the execution of having the vendors to do it was key. She had many trusted vendors that she recommended that allowed me to plan and have an amazing team. She arrived early and helped setup so that none of our family had anything to worry about except having a good time! The entire day was perfect and went exactly as we had imagined.
We had one wonderful wedding planner. The problem is we contracted for two wedding planners. The contract stated we would have 2 coordinators for unlimited hours of onsite assistance on the day of my daughters wedding. Having one person presented a problem because family and friends had to step in to help. I have no doubt that the one lady could handle it but it was too much for one person. When I asked for a partial refund I was only refunded $150 out of the $1500 we paid because the assistant would have only worked 10 hours. We also were not notified in advance from the owner that we would only have one planner. The problem was only addressed when I contacted them. I feel it was very poor business.

nt coordinator tested positive for COVID the day before your wedding, leaving me with no one to find to help the lead coordinator on the wedding day. Due to other weddings, I was unable to step in myself. Because we were unable to find a second coordinator available last minute, we enlisted the help of the venue coordinator to help where crucially needed - ceremony, etc. After discussing everything with your Lead Coordinator, I let her make the call whether to tell you or not. She made the decision she felt was best because she said you seemed very stressed out and were crying over family matters. She didn't want to cause anymore unnecessary stress when she knew she could handle it on her own. I'm sorry if this was not the right decision. Your Lead Coordinator stated that family and friends did not need to step in, that she had it handled. She told your guests many times to please not help. However, they seemed to be a very helpful bunch and wanted to help wherever they could so she let them. She never once asked them for help or needed help. The reason you were only refunded $150 is because Danielle did many jobs outside of her scope of work such as moving furniture, taking out trash, sweeping floors, etc. Again, I'm sorry that COVID didn't allow for two coordinators to be onsite but I'm so happy your daughter had a wonderful wedding day and I wish them nothing but happiness!
I can not say enough good things about working with Sweet Laurel Events! Planning a wedding is a lot to deal with on it’s on, but planning a wedding during a pandemic is a whole other beast. Laura was such a blessing to work with in so many ways. She gave amazing recommendations, ideas, and helpful tips for every step of the planning process. But, more importantly, she reassured me when needed and had everything under control on the day of. That was the one thing I really wanted when looking for a coordinator. I did not have to worry about ANY of the behind the scenes stuff. I truly could not have had such a magical day without Laura overseeing and organizing everything.
One thing that really stood out to me was her ability to be so professional, yet incredibly personable at the same time. The morning of my wedding, Laura and I chatted in the reception hall for a little while about a bunch of random things. Looking back, I didn’t feel like she was just my coordinator in that moment, but more-so a friend I was just hanging out with. I’m someone who will stress about being stressed, so that small moment of calmness was big for me.

Sweet Laurel Wedding and Events went above and beyond planning my daughter's New Year's Eve wedding and executing those plans the day of the wedding. We couldn't be more pleased and impressed. Laura gave us suggestions, tips, and vendor recommendations to plan the wedding of her dreams. Laura always answered my many questions promptly. She was patient, calm, positive and proactive when we had to reschedule my daughter's original wedding date including a new venue and caterer due to the pandemic. Laura's recommendations were always elegant but practical. We appreciated so much her calm nature and organization skills. We were so much more work than she signed up for, but she remained enthusiastic and excited about the wedding even throughout all the pandemic restrictions. She was a wonderful, experienced guide but never pushed us to make decisions. We couldn't have ben more pleased with every detail on the day of the wedding, and as mother of the bride, I could enjoy the ceremony and reception confident that Laura had everything under control.

We don't have anything but positive things to say about Laura from Sweet Laurel Events. I enlisted Laura’s company after attending an open house at The Chandelier of Gruene. Laura assisted my daughter and myself from the first day we hired her. She was available for texts, phone calls, and emails whenever we had questions, and she would always respond promptly. In addition, whenever we needed vendor recommendations, she was able to provide us with stellar recommendations. We can't thank Laura enough for helping to ensure that Brittany and Cody’s big day was beautiful and went smoothly. Most of all, we appreciate her professionalism and allowing for adjustments to the time schedule. COVID 19 affected so many events and vendors. Laura was able to navigate any required modifications and restrictions to ensure all safety protocols were in place for everyone attending. Laura and my daughter clicked on Day One. Laura loved Brittany’s choices and they seemed to always be on the same page when it came to decisions from décor, food, music…etc. Laura knew the venue so well and has worked with each of the vendors that it was easily one of the best decisions we could have made to help us through the wedding planning and day of logistics. I was truly worried and stressed before the actual wedding day. The day of Laura made sure everything went off smoothly and that every detail that Brittany wanted was taken care of. All of the extra effort and added touches that Laura did go a long way and we are so appreciative. We are sad that the wedding is over, but we are so happy that we gained several friendships in return.

Laura is amazing! As a videographer, communication with the planner is key and Laura is always on top of everything! She communicates with her vendors leading up to the wedding day as well as throughout the event. Having Laura in our corner was a HUGE stress relief the day of and through the wedding planning process. Laura was our Day of Coordinator at the Allen Farmhaus. From the day we decided we were having a wedding I knew I wanted (NEEDED) a wedding planner, but didn't immediately look into hiring one. At a venue open house I met a photographer whose name I couldn't remember at the end of the day. I tried to look for the photographer on Instagram but instead came across Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events page...clearly not who I was looking for. Some time passed and my mom kept asking if I had found a wedding planner because I was slacking in the planning process...cue in the AMAZING LAURA who I accidentally found on Instagram A.K.A Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events. I never doubted Laura's abilities to create magic, but man did she go above and beyond to meet all my expectations with designing and putting together the most magical, beautiful wedding I could have ever dreamt of. In hiring Sweet Laurel to help with the planning and coordination of our wedding, I chose the partial planning package as I needed help in finding the remaining of my vendors and in the design and style of the wedding. Throughout the entire process Laura was attentive, available and helpful in providing vendor recommendations and creating the most detailed and well thought out vision board (a serious dream for florists!). Working with Laura from Sweet Laurel Weddings and Events was one of the BEST parts of wedding planning. She made our wedding day such a dream. Throughout the wedding planning process it was easy to forget that she had other brides because she made us feel so special and always had time for us. I cannot say enough positive things about Laura & the team with Sweet Laurel Events. Working with her is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Throughout the planning process she was super helpful with questions, always responsive, & truly made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with. She kept me on track & made sure we were staying on schedule with all the different vendors & planning pieces. At the walk through she helped to give me piece of mind and made sure that we had everything lined up. She works with our venue (Chandelier of Gruene) frequently & I am beyond thankful for that because she already knew all of their rules, and had an eye for what would work well with the venue, & what wouldn’t.
We weren’t able to do the rehearsal at the venue & instead did it at a restaurant in town. Laura did a phenomenal job of wrangling our bridal party together & making sure everyone was comfortable going in to the wedding the next day.

I didn’t have to worry about telling anyone where to put things, and everything turned out perfectly. She made sure that everything flowed well & that we didn’t have any issues. I was able to relax & enjoy the day with our loved ones without any distractions.
