If I could give zero stars I would. We used Sweet Treets for our wedding cake and the overall experience was terrible - rude / entitled staff throughout the entire process and they charged us over $1000 in late fees for not returning their cake...
stands (which sell on Etsy for about $100) within 48 hours of the wedding because we were, like most newlyweds, on our honeymoon. There was zero understanding and when we did get home and get to return them, could not even get a call back about refunding even part of the late fees. Absolutely terrible customer service and overall experience, I would never work with them again.

The cake was gorgeous and our guests seemed to really enjoy having different flavors to choose from; the icing was so fresh and yummy. - After the wedding was over, the wedding venue manager said we had less cake leftover than most brides do after a wedding because our guests really enjoyed having seconds! We took what cake was leftover to a post-wedding picnic the next day in a cake box and the rest was eaten up there in a flash! Food tastes good, but unprofessional and not reliable for your event. We started working with Sweet Treets for our wedding way in advance bc we really wanted to lock them in. Initially, the experience was good, so we got our quote and paid the ...
deposit. When we came to a month out from our wedding, they were not responsive what so ever. We needed to check in, confirm, get info for coordinating, but after multiple emails, calls, and messages left, they finally responded more than a week later - asking for more money. More money for multiple things - mind you we already had a quote. When we asked why we owe more and why they haven’t been responsive, it was about another week later until a response and their excuse was that our original consultant was no longer with them. As we are still trying to figure out final pricing bc they kept talking about how we didn’t have enough food* (I’ll come back to this), needed a better delivery time (costs more), now have higher prices for items (they decided they’ll honor some original prices but not others?), and ridiculously priced design elements, it again, takes them forever and a day to respond while we are 2-3 weeks out from our wedding. It was like this painful war of attrition and so we just accepted whatever new quote they gave to try and ensure that they’d even show up with food, as we got an email in the midst saying that we had to pay a deposit or else we wouldn’t be in the calendar - yet we had already paid our deposit the year prior and confirmed our date! Finally, day of wedding, no one checked in w us like every other vendor did. We didn’t even know they came and were just praying they did. Come to find out, they broke my cake topper when placing it on top of the cake AND didn’t even give us the amount of food we contracted and paid for, that they told us to increase! After all that trouble in that last month, they proved in the end that they are just not dependable. This was the only vendor for our whole wedding that gave us any grief. We were so disappointed bc the food is good… but you shouldn’t have to worry about if you’ll get it or having a basic line of communication, especially weeks/days before your big day. Can not recommend for an event.

While we were getting ready on our wedding day, our wedding coordinator came in to tell us that the Sweet Treets delivery vehicle was T-boned and flipped over with two people and five wedding cakes inside including ours. Everyone was thankfully okay but the cakes were ruined -- at no fault of Sweet Treets at all. With the wedding in a few hours, we expected to just pick up some cakes from the grocery store and call it a day... but Sweet Treets somehow re-made a delicious and beautiful 4 tier cake + sheet cake at the last minute. They truly went above and beyond for us on our wedding day, and we look forward to being loyal customers for many years to come.

From the moment Sweet Treets people showed up with the wedding cake at the venue it started to collapse due to structural issues. How in the hell does a wedding cake company not know how to make a structurally sound wedding cake???

they took the cake back to the bakery and returned to the venue, South Congress wayyy past the eta time. The cake was broken and damaged. I am guessing because they had to take it completely apart and add an absurd amount of reinforcement. Once they were back at South Congress it was realized that the groom's cake was left behind!!!! Not only were they already late with the wedding cake but then they had to go back to get the groom's cake they forgot at the bakery.
This, therefore, caused our entrance into the reception space to be delayed so they could then install the groom's cake. Everyone was waiting for us to walk in and make out the entrance and instead the two women who showed up had to walk in and add the groom's cake.
On top of everything, we were not able to do a cake cutting because there is so much structure in the cake it was impossible to take any kind of cut through the cake. I was hitting structural elements and was embarrassed to not be able to do any kind of cake cutting at my wedding.
If this was not enough the bride's cake looked unfinished, poorly put together, broken flowers, areas where the frosting was completely missing.
As a designer, I could not IMAGINE presenting a product like this to a person. LET ALONE THERE WEDDING!!!!
To know that they have ruined an important part of my wedding will be something I never forget. South Congress Hotel and the wedding planning company let me know that they will be removing them from the preferred vendor's list due to the complete lack of professionalism.

Sweet Treets was highly recommended by a friend who works in the wedding industry. They really appealed to us because they prefer using only buttercream for frosting and decoration instead of fondant. Fondant can look pretty and give you a look that buttercream just can't...but fondant just doesn't taste as good as buttercream. We ended up going with alternating layers of the Strawberry Champagne (so delicious) and the Valrhona Chocolate with Salted Caramel Filling (also...so delicious). We worked with Jackie on the decorations, and she was an absolute delight. We brought in pictures of several cakes that we liked parts of, and she combined them all into the most stunning (and delicious) cake ever. Each and every guest has told us how delicious the cake was.
We also ordered tiny lemon meringue pies that we served as late night snacks, and those were a hit as well.
While I won't be planning another wedding, I will absolutely be going to Sweet Treets for any cake/baked good needs from here on out.

Anyways, about those cakes... the pictures speak for themselves. Sweet Treets can really do anything. If you can imagine it, they can do it. I found a picture of what I wanted onlnie and Jackie managed to recreate exactly.. but even better somehow? All I know is, when I finally saw my cake the day of, I gasped. It was that good.
The flavors we had were amazing and everything tasted SO good. All the weddings I've been to the cake has totally had a frozen texture, taste and feel to it, but not our cakes! I swear she baked it fresh that day. The texture was so moist and the cakes, besides being EXACTLY the look we wanted, also tasted amazing. I had people tell me it was the best cake they had ever had.
We now only go to Jackie when we want a cake, that's how good it is. I've heard from some people (and vaguely remember this myself) that the tasting you get to do for free before deciding on Sweet Treets is underwhelming because the samples you get are cupcakes and therefore it's not a totally representative experience. Don't let this deter you. The cakes are phenomenal and your guests will be VERY pleased with the results!

DO ace at at 3D, incredibly detailed and photorealistic pieces of art, we went much more simple for our wedding treats -- a two-tier white cake (which my florist made a piece for) and some mini treats - mini cupcakes, cakeballs, cookies, etc. They kindly double checked with me a few times ("Any decorations? Colors? Are you suuure you want just a white cake with knife-edge texture?" "Yes, I"m sure.") and I can't blame them! We're just not really an over-the-top kind of couple.
That said, back to the flavors -- being that our wedding was in December, we definitely went for some "fall/winter" flavors.
Our main cake was one tier Red Velvet (our standard favorite and oh so GOOD. The cream cheese filling was amazing.) and one tier of Pumpkin Spice cake with Dulce de Leche filling. Take my advice and get. this. flavor. GET it! (At least at the tasting, if you wouldn't dig a fall treat at your summer wedding.)
We also did Red Velvet and Pumpkin/Dulce de Leche mini cupcakes, some sort of Apple Spice mini cupcakes and a random assortment of cake balls and cookies.
I can't personally speak much to the other treats, as we only had a bite of Red Velvet at the reception, and a slice of the Pumpkin/Dulce de Leche around 1 am in our hotel room that night… but both were phenomenal and we got so many compliments on the treats! Our dessert table was truly beautiful.
Highly recommend, would use again.

I have to emphasize that the service was absolutely exceptional - the bride cake and the groom's (cup)cake were about half the price of other places that we had visited. Jackie made us feel so comfortable during the tasting. I had a huge Pinterest board full of cakes and she literally went through each picture letting us know if it was buttercream or fondant and how feasible it was to recreate. We finally decided on a light to darker cream ombre with rough knife-work.
I am a tea aficionado and also wanted to incorporate unique tea flavors into the cakes. Sweet Treets did not have pre-existing tea flavors so they made up some from scratch ! We chose strawberry champagne (already on their menu) and Earl Gray for the cake tiers YUM. The cake on the day of the wedding was moist and the balance of the flavored buttercream and the more subtly flavored cake was to die for. The cake was so much more gorgeous than I could have imagined. My husband had mini cupcakes that were laid out in the shape of a Bevo, half in green tea and half in Reeses. Our wedding guests devoured the cupcakes within the first 5 minutes.
