We could not have found a better partner to go through the wedding planning process with~~ loved working with Meredith and Carolyn who were extremely responsive, organized, efficient and patient! Communication and help keeping us on track with decisions were high priorities and they exceeded all expectations! They guided us through an incredible wedding day one day after hurricane Ian hit with the utmost professionalism, grace, hard work and kindness! We absolutely loved Sweetgrass Social and all of the girls who helped on our big day! Special shout out to, Samantha. She was the planner that we worked closely with for our wedding at Middleton Place. Samantha is so sweet, patient, and persistent! We are from Charlotte, so Charleston was a destination wedding for us. It was wonderful to have someone there that was so familiar with the area. We did not make things easy for her either lol. We had THREE different wedding dates between the years of 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 postponements. Through these postponements she reached out to every single vendor to discuss next available dates and also helped negotiate some terms with some of them. We were supposed to get married May 2020. When COVID-19 hit and postponed our wedding, this was the very moment I had never been so thankful to have a wedding planner! Planning a wedding (or basically 3 weddings with the different dates lol) was very challenging and overwhelming to say the least. I admit, I am a pretty anxious/high strung person in general so this was not helpful. Samantha remained SO calm and helped us navigate all of this with ease. She was so patient with us each time we had to make a decision and never pushed us towards a decision we were not happy with. She took care of so many things for us before, during, and even after our wedding. We are so grateful for all that Samantha and the Sweetgrass team did for us throughout our planning process!

Planning an out of town wedding, while living busy lives, seemed a daunting task until we met Sweetgrass Social. From day one, we felt that the wedding was in creative and capable hands. Samantha was a great communicator--clear and timely and we never felt that we didn't have her full attention. As we met with vendors, the common theme was "I am so glad you are working with Sweetgrass. They are so organized and easy to work with--a great team." Where to even begin! The Sweetgrass Social team, and specifically my planner Samantha Scandole, was hands down the best money we spent on our wedding. Samantha made our dream wedding come true and I could not have done it without her! We were originally supposed to get married in April of 2020 but of course COVID put a stop to that. Pushing our wedding out a year was of course devastating at the time, but Samantha made our worst nightmare into the most seamless and easy process. If you're wondering if a wedding planner is 'worth' it - take it from a bride who began planning before a pandemic and had a wedding in a pandemic, IT 100% IS! Sweetgrass Social, Meredith Tanton specifically, is an absolute dream to work with. In the beginning stages of planning there was no pandemic yet and Meredith was on top of everything. She is extremely organized and each time speaking with her she was able to clearly and concisely let my fiance and I know exactly what needed to get done and by when. She researched local vendors as well as trusted vendors she had worked with before and presented them to us and really helped us narrow down our selections. Meredith made an effort to get to know me, my personality, and my style to really design a wedding that suited me. Once we booked vendors, some of which were her suggested vendors but some I found on my own - she was a great liaison for us - all of our vendors absolutely adored Meredith and respected her professionalism and organized attitude. Once the pandemic hit instant panic hit, as we weren't sure exactly how this would affect our wedding day. Our wedding was November 14, 2020 so back in March we were sure this pandemic would blow over. With the quick experience Meredith picked up from her pandemic weddings in those early months, she was able to quickly give us options as backups and how we could still have the day of our dreams and still have our guests be safe and comply with local COVID-19 safety guidelines. Mind you, she kept us abreast of these ideas WHILE she was totally changing and reworking other weddings she had. Even with headcount adjustments (some even the week of the wedding) she was able to pivot immediately with ease and have updated plans for us. She kept herself up to date with the ever changing COVID-19 restrictions in our localized area (Lexington, Virginia) as well as in contact with our venue to make sure all of her plans were compliant and we were still happy. As our wedding weekend commenced Meredith and her assistant Sam were such calming forces. Not once did I feel flustered or question how the day would turn out, because they were on top of everything. Meredith and Sam made our bridal party and family feel comfortable on the day of the rehearsal so everyone felt confident leading into the big day. They also made several trips up to the venue to help vendors set up throughout the weekend and make sure progress was being done in a timely manner. On the wedding day - everything went off without a hitch! Meredith ensured the bridal party had everything they needed to feel comfortable, relaxed, and fed (VERY important) on the hours leading up to the wedding. She worked with our vendors on the day of to really ensure the day went off without issue and smoothly. I've received several compliments about how perfectly the day went without any missteps or slip ups - during the entire day (guests arrival, ceremony, reception, and departure). I can't thank the team at Sweetgrass Social enough or Meredith enough because in a chaotic world she was able to make me feel at ease and have a wedding I didn't even think possible. My wedding experience and day was elevated because of the hard work of Meredith & the Sweetgrass Social team.

We worked with Sweetgrass Social for almost TWO YEARS due to our wedding being postponed during COVID-19. I can honestly say I would not have survived the process without them. Samantha was our lead planner for our wedding and she was absolutely wonderful. She helped me with every single question along the way, listened to my wishes (and crazy fears), and provided great advice. She really put me at ease throughout the process and ensured that we had the absolute best day. She thought of everything, from start to finish. Sweetgrass Social are an absolute MUST for any wedding and event planning. Truly, the best planning and most wonderful people. Sweetgrass helped make rescheduling and replanning a wedding in extenuating circumstances in a pandemic look like a breeze. We would not have been able to have our absolutely PERFECT wedding day without them. Samantha Scandole was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond to make our day perfect. She was so organized, provided options for everything we wanted (or needed) to do, and stayed calm/ had solutions for every problem or hurtle we encountered. I was blown away by the support she provided, and how she made our day a dream. Our original day was planned for May, and we had to make the decision to postpone until September. As you can imagine, this can be incredibly stressful, but Samantha worked across all our vendors to move everything over with ease. She continued to stay very close to us through this whole process of changing regulations, rules, and changes we could make. As an out of town bride, this was even more important. As we got nearer to September, we feared that our wedding would not be able to happen. As we gauged what we wanted to do, Samantha threw out ideas and options, and ultimately continued to work towards whatever we wanted (and ensure our day was wonderful). About 45 days out, Samantha helped us find a NEW venue that had outdoor space available and more room to be socially distant. She helped us reconfigure our whole reception to go above and beyond our wildest dreams. Every step of the way, she was there to help, and took so much stress off our plates. All I can say is Sweetgrass Social and Samantha is who you want to plan your wedding. I can not recommend them enough. You guys are AMAZING. Thank you so much ❤️

WOW! I cannot say enough about Samantha and the Sweetgrass team. They pulled off our wedding without a hitch during a pandemic! Insane! We wouldn't have changed a thing. The day was absolutely magical. Samantha worked her tail off for us and we felt that every single week. None of us knew what we were in for when we hired them, but they were seriously worth every penny. Samantha was not only an incredible detail-oriented planner, she also became a friend. She is seriously the sweetest. She listened to every word I said and made it a reality. She thought of things I would have never thought of and even found a way to honor my late mother without me asking her. She had me and all my bridesmaids in literal tears. Heart of GOLD!! My daughter's wedding was held at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston last weekend. Working with Samantha at Sweetgrass Social Events was a pleasure! Samantha's concerns that the day be perfect for my daughter and her fiancée was obviously her number one concern. The venue is perfect with the Ashleigh River views and food could not have been better. The wedding was everything we dreamed of and more!

Sweetgrass Social came recommended from a number of vendors we met with during our wedding planning process. We knew we wanted someone to execute all of our plans and vision on our wedding day and that is exactly what Meredith, Katherine, and the rest of her team did! It started with Meredith designing a perfect floor plan and setting up all of the rentals. On the day of the wedding, everything looked beyond perfect and that is certainly thanks to them! Meredith handled all the details, any problems that arose, etc. and everything went off without any problems (as far as the groom and I knew). I would recommend Sweetgrass without hesitation!

In the midst of the wedding planning process, I became very overwhelmed, as I didn't have much help up to that point. I had not planned on hiring a wedding coordinator, but I soon broke down and began the search. I have a good amount of friends in the wedding business, and no joke, Sweetgrass Social came highly recommended by all of them. We set up a consultation and I knew right away they were the ones I should book. Their help came towards the end of the planning process, but the fact that everyone rallied onboard to make sure my wedding went off well was so encouraging! Both Jacquelyn & Meredith, along with their assistants, jumped on it and came up with the best design and helped me work within my budget. I had many of the bigger vendors booked, but the reason I believe they were so vital to making my wedding so great was that they helped me tie in all the details, opened my eyes to potential problems/challenges I had not forseen and made sure the actual day went according to plan (in the midst of the chaos). These girls are phenomenal and I would recommend them again in a heartbeat! Thank you Sweetgrass Social!

Meredith was great! She definitely loves what she does. We used her as a day of planner. The event was flawless to my knowledge. She was very thorough and attentive to all the little things.

From the very beginning, their professionalism and organization made the planning process a breeze. They were always available to answer any questions or to bounce ideas off of. They saw my vision and helped me to execute exactly the feel I was going for on our wedding day. I would not have changed a thing about that day and having them there the day of made for an enjoyable and stress-free day for me, my husband, and all of our guests. I cannot say enough wonderful things about these ladies...they really made our dreams come true!!!

The Sweetgrass Girls could not have been more instrumental in making my day perfect. The day of my wedding everything ran flawlessly and I had the best time knowing I did not have to worry about a thing. All of the girls were so sweet, and poor Jacqueline was even on her hands and knees cleaning stains from the hem of my dress right before my reception entrance. By the time she was done it was as good as new! Even my other vendors commented on how great they were and that's saying a lot since they have worked with a lot of different planners. Book them!!!

Our May wedding would not have been possible, let along gotten off the ground, had it not been for the work of Jacqueline and Meredith and their team at Sweetgrass Social Events and Design! We were planning on having a small wedding but since we were from out of town, it seemed logical to have wedding planners to help us---and this was the BEST decision EVER. Upon interviewing the girls and letting them know that we had a strict budget to adhere to, they were willing to take us on and promised to make our day fantastic. And they did just that! All the prep leading up do the day was done with advice and guidance from the girls. Their suggestions were great and helped us make some really great choices, keeping the budget in mind the whole time. I couldn't have imagined the day without them.....to me, everything ran smoothly, but they may have been running around with their hair on fire, but I didn't know it. They truly are the nicest, sweetest, most professional team you will meet and they will no doubt, make your special day even better!

The Sweetgrass girls were great! We hired them for day of coordination and they did SO MUCH more than that! THey really were able to make sure the day was exactly what we wanted!

The women of Sweetgrass social are absolutely amazing. My wedding day was completely stress free because of these ladies! They went above and beyond what was necessary, meeting up at odd hours so best to work into our schedule. They also had fantastic input on wedding details that I would never had thought of and great recommendations on vendors. Additionally, I come from Philadelphia and they made it very easy to communicate on email and phone. Even my guests at the wedding commented on how nice/cool they were! I can't imagine having a wedding without the help,advise and expertise of sweetgrass social!

I was married on May 1st, 2010. I am an obstetrician, and knew there would be no way for me to have time to plan my wedding. There were also logistical concerns as I was getting married at a location about 45 miles from where the reception would be. I spoke with the girls at Sweetgrass Social and in an instant, decided that I wanted them to do my wedding. They planned everything...from the invitations, rehearsal, cake, lodging, travel arrangements, entertainment, weekend of the event...and the list goes on and on. They were amazing, and on the day of my wedding, all I had to do was walk down the aisle. Everything else was taken care of!! They are absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend them.
