What you need to know about my wedding:
1. Our original DJ (NOT someone from Synergetic) ignored us starting a few months before our wedding day and ending about a week before the event when we told them (via electronic text because we could n...ot get them on the phone) that we were going with someone else, at which point they told us they miraculously had everything set up even though they had not talked to us about our music, ceremony, or reception or done anything but visit our venue.
2. We originally only signed with Synergetic for their (beautiful) lighting services.
3. I am a barefoot, earthy, free people fanatic. It must be homemade. I hate monograms. Make it simple - normal white weddings (or overly-colorful weddings) and the typical bubbles and roses make me irrationally upset. Naturally, I had to make every detail as painful for my mother, then-fiance, and self as possible because it could not be --- mainstream. In the slightest.
4. DJs are under the most pressure, I think, other than consultants in bridal shops. Yes, people remember food goofs, tacky favors, and some ceremony mishaps, but brides are strict and (probably often) cruel to DJs - they're the life of the party and it has to be perfect, after all!
Because of the aforementioned trouble caused by our previous DJ, we went to Synergetic - and with two/three weeks to go (and me running behind even in those terrifyingly late, special deadlines custom-fit to our circumstances), Kyle had every single guest on the dance floor at one moment or another (with the exception of exteremely elderly guests or those who had to leave early, of course), including an elderly family member who had complained about the mild, classy music at my cousin's reception the year before (I mean Frank Sinatra/usual (but not top 40) dance music, people).
On top of preparing what my guests described as the most outstanding music mix they'd ever heard at a wedding reception (a few different demographics pointedly told me this) in I think two nights (he also works a full time day job, folks, this guy is AWESOME), Kyle and his assistant adapted beautifully and graciously, as well - we made mistakes filling out our questionnaire and wanted a few things done different than were planned beforehand, and then our best man grabbed everyone for what was not only an earlier exit than planned but also a spontaneous, bubble-blow sendoff and Kyle smoothly redirected accordingly!
Choose Synergetic. Aside from being outstanding at what they do, they take incredible care of their clients (I went in person to meet my vendors to make sure, I was bridezilla), and they work with your budget.
Synergetic is the best you can do, no question - and they'll do the best they can do for you.
(We love Kyle~)
