Tabletop Catering

Mackenzie was wonderful to work with leading up to the wedding. The food at the tasting was so good. We had a buffet style wedding but one of the servers brought us plates to the sweetheart table. We would have preferred being asked what we wanted as they just gave us some of everything. We chose the various menu options strategically with our guests in mind but personally preferred specific items. At the wedding the risotto was crunchy, the broccoli was an unappetizing yellow green color, and the chicken was dry. My husband and I are both very good cooks so we know we have higher standards than most, but you’d think that when providing plates specifically for the people paying you’d want to make sure they get properly cooked food. Our guests all loved the food and some of our food was really tasty. They were very nice to work with and a much better price than other caterers whose food was not nearly as good as TableTop’s.

The staff at Table Top was very professional and a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond, even helped with my set up. At one point during the party we had to move the entire set up inside. They did it without hesitations and flawlessly. The food was amazing, I've had several guest compliment the food since the party.

We hired Table Top to cater our wedding after reading all the rave reviews and having a food tasting. The tasting was great and we were very excited to impress our guests. On our actual wedding day the appetizers were tasty, but somehow they only managed to get about two small bites per person out to my guests. We came for the reception to eat our salads and they were largely inedible as the arugula was wilted and un trimmed so the roots were like wood. About 80 of our 113 guests ordered the coffee rubbed steaks with potato. The steaks did not have any coffee rub, were barely seasoned, and almost all of them said they were either burnt or over cooked. On the flip side, the potato’s were largely so raw they were inedible. Later the deserts came and they were delicious and plentiful…. This experience put a major damper on my wedding day for me. We spent a lot of money on the food and I was told by multiple family members and guests that they barely ate anything because it was terrible. Given the reviews, it was totally unexpected and I figured they must have had some catastrophic event. So, I called them for an explanation as to what happened and I was reassured this is an outlier and they would right the wrong. I called every week for 3 weeks to get the explanation and received nothing. They talked to my wife and told her they would give a refund but did not say how much… we later got a deposit which amounted to 5.5% of our total bill…. I called many times and never got a response from James. I am very likely an outlier in their production, but I would personally not recommend them.

Food was absolutely delicious! However, it was brought to my attention that there were not enough plates to serve everyone on. There was an overflow of plasticware and an overflow of food, but no plates and that was unacceptable. I felt really bad when I found this information out in that certain people were not able to eat.

We hired Table Top Catering for our wedding and it was such an amazing decision. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff was even better and were ready to take on anything that was thrown their way on our wedding day. On top of that, our guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the food! I cannot thank Table Top Catering enough for being such a huge part of our wedding day!

Table Top catered my wedding in October of 2016 during Hurricane Matthew. They delivered the most exceptional service and the most delicious food. For my 5 year wedding anniversary, I wanted to surprise my husband with dinner and this incredible team made it happen! The food was absolutely amazing and just as we remembered it 😊 When we met James 5 years ago and held a tasting at our home, we knew right away that we wanted to have Table Top cater our wedding. Food has always brought us together in the kitchen and the dinner table. As cliche as it sounds, it is the way to our heart 💙 On the night of our reception, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy cocktail hour, some of the dinner options, or our dessert and actions stations. We always hear our guests remark about how amazing the food was that night and every year when we remember the wedding we would always say how we wish we could’ve sat down for a moment and really enjoyed the food the way we did at our tasting. Thank you for giving us the chance to do that on our anniversary! One phone call with James and he was sure that we could make it happen. Amanda was so great and onboard with our wedding menu being replicated. Dinner certainly did not disappoint! The food was incredibly delicious - just as we remembered it! The presentation of everything was beautiful and the taste was amazing - always so fresh and flavorful! From the balsamic glazed fig and strawberries, to the infamous Jicama watermelon salad, to the entrees, and lastly the most drool worthy crepes and rum roasted banana pound cake - no plate was left empty! Mackenzie and JR, our server and chef, were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed having their company for the night. It was great seeing James’ son Johnny as well and so nice to hear that he remembered being at our house in the days leading up to the wedding 5 years ago. Table top has a special place with us! We’re happy that we chose them 5 years ago for our wedding and so glad we could choose them again for our 5 year anniversary milestone. They are amazing 🙏🏽

Finding a caterer within our budget was one of my greatest stressors through wedding planning. When we started working with ToniAnn from TableTop, we just told her a few items we were looking to have on our buffet (tacos, bbq, casual foods). She put together a killer menu, that had about twice the amount of food of other vendors at half the cost! Not only that, the food was INCREDIBLE. We knew after our tasting that the food was excellent, but it's always hard to know if wedding food will hold up when it's the day of. Let me tell you, I have not spoken to a single person after our wedding that didn't compliment our food! And I had some tough critics! People told me they went back for seconds and had to restrain themselves. People were even raving about the hors d'ouevres from cocktail hour as well, which I feel is super rare. The Grilled Cheese Dippers were a fan favorite, and people LOVED the brisket as one of the topping choices. We also decided to do beer and wine with specialty cocktails, thanks to the great deal we were getting. The service was excellent. The staff was so friendly. ToniAnn and James were so helpful and patient through every step of planning, to payment to execution. I really hope we get to work with them again in the future!

Look no further - Tabletop is your wedding caterer! When looking for a caterer, my parents and I attended numerous tastings and trust me when I say no one can compare. They hosted us for multiple food tastings (even one at our house with my whole family!) and tweaked dishes until they were to our liking. They created a completely custom menu for us (a few examples - poke station during cocktail hour, live pasta station for dinner, which transitioned to a banana fosters station for dessert) and to this day (six months later), our guests are still raving about the tomato soup & grilled cheese shooters. Along with wowing us with their food and friendly staff, we also hired them to bartend (and bring their own setup as well). We were able to provide the alcohol, so James and his team came to our house to pick up all the bottles in advance so we didn't have to worry about taking it to the venue the day of! I also requested a champagne toast during the ceremony and James pulled that off beautifully. Truly, they are amazing people to work with and budget-friendly. I would 100% recommend them whether it's a backyard wedding during the pandemic or a 400-person wedding. They'll go above and beyond to make sure you and your family are happy.

James and his staff completely outdid themselves. The guests could not stop talking about the food and still talk to me about it!! My biggest regret, and my husbands, on our wedding is that we didn't eat more!!! I have been to multiple events with Tabletop and everything is always spectacular, not just the food, but the presentation and the wait staff. James is a wonderful person who owns and runs an amazing business. Know that if you book with Tabletop you can have 100% trust that everything will exceed your expectations. Tabletop was truly spectacular. We gave them what we thought was a challenge and they really delivered and executed without any trouble. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again for future functions!

James and staff were terrific...professional, courteous, friendly...and the food was absolutely delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests. It was such a relief to know that every detail of our reception meal was covered. James gave us great suggestions with the menu and knowledgeably answered all of our questions. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely use Tabletop Catering again in the future.

Tabletop catering is the best! James will make sure it is everything you've ever dreamed of. We chose the buffet style and it was amazing with lots of variety. He will give you lots of options to choose from and our quote provided way more food than other catering companies. The appetizers that were passed around during cocktail hour were a hit! We had mini chicken pamesan bites, grilled cheese sliders, and mini burgers. Dinner was great, especially the steak carving station. James has a fast response time when you have any questions. He also updated our menu for us anytime we needed changes. Thank you to all the servers and bartenders for their professionalism and hospitality. Catering is such an important aspect of your wedding and Tabletop definitely delivered.

The experience we had with Table Top Catering was extraordinary. Working with James was one of the best parts of planning my wedding. It exceeded our expectations and only made my wedding day more special. above and beyond what I expected from a wedding caterer. Table Top’s attention to detail made them a very unique caterer. They not only designed the food to my theme but the decorations and presentation matched perfectly. The variety of their menu choices was quite extensive. You could tell from the beginning how passionate they were about what they do. They were accommodating and extremely nice to work with. James was flexible and knowledgeable about everything from food, to decorating and setting up the perfect reception. He displayed the food beautifully and the taste was magnificent. All of our guests commented on the amazing food and said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Table Top’s food was fresh and flavorful and full of variety. There was something for everyone. We would recommend Table Top to anyone for any occasion. They are truly wonderful.

James was amazing. The event was perfect, and working with him while planning the wedding was the most relaxing part of wedding planning. Every time I got off the phone with him I was smiling and felt like even if nothing else worked the food would be perfect, and it was. They did the food and bar for us, and were also able to assist with storing and serving the cake.

I have been at multiple events that Tabletop has catered, and I have always loved their food and service. I didn't think it could get any better until James and his team catered my wedding. They went above and beyond to match our rustic theme with their food and decor. James remained in close communication to tweak the menu throughout the planning process.
