The recent Maui wildfires have had a devastating impact on our local economy and the historic town of Lahaina. It is truly tragic, and my heart goes out to all the families who have lost so much. Because our local economy has suffered, I am asking you to please consider hiring Tad Craig Photography and other local Maui vendors, for weddings & events even on other islands. Hiring local helps support our community and families. In return, I will work incredibly hard to ensure you have a wonderful experience and walk away with beautiful imagery.
With 20+ years of experience, I use the island's breathtaking beauty as my studio to capture your wedding in unique and unforgettable ways. I focus on a relaxed, professional approach, utilizing both natural light and I'm an expert at utilizing off-camera lighting when needed, to accentuate the magnificent colors of the islands.
Tad Craig Photography pricing is very reasonable with excellent packages to fit a wide range of budgets. Pricing starts at $500 for an hour on Maui. There is also a SIX HOUR SPECIAL STARTER PACKAGE that was created specifically to help large destination weddings on Maui providing lots of coverage for just $2000. Other islands have a very reasonable travel fee included in the price. This starting package can be prorated for more hours at the same rate if needing more than six hours coverage.
If you are eloping, ask me about an Adventure Wedding. We can explore hidden tropical forests, volcano summits, waterfalls, or cliffside ceremonies. I am also happy to recommend other reliable local vendors to help make your planning process seamless, cost-effective and of course AMAZING!

Charismatic Destination Wedding Photographer Capturing Joy and Delivering Dreams is my Passion. Growing up in the high mountains of Colorado, I developed a reverence for beautiful places & wild adventures! One of my idols as a kid was a pro photographer named Ace Kaval who graced the pages of Nat Geo & the Patagonia catalog & he inspired me very young.
My quest in creating beautiful imagery blossomed here in Maui more then 21 years ago when I first made the leap to being a professional. Since then I have continued to create gorgeous imagery, honing my craft and delivering the goods!

onal and also warm and fit right in to the wedding . He got all the special shots we had a hard time choosing photos. But the picture he got of me, my daughter and her Dad before we walked her down the aisle is priceless. We have been split up since she was 10yrs old and she really wanted us to be civil at the wedding. I did therapy for a year for her to feel like I could be at that wedding with him and be present for my daughter! I had a vision of me hugging him at the wedding in some of the therapy and just the vision helped me feel better about going and having to be around him but I wasn’t planning on hugging him in real life!! Then Tad not knowing any of this asked to take a family photo of just us and said ‘now have a family hug’ and we hugged with my daughter in the middle and she said ‘wow this family hasn’t hugged in a long time’. It was a full circle of all the hard work, money, energy, therapy and healing in that photo for her and for myself to be at her wedding standing in power and in love instead of the other feelings my ex could often inspire. So thank you Tad as I’m sure you know you’re not just taking photos! ♥️

Looking back, the only thing I would change is having a few more pose ideas beyond smiling or kissing, something I didn’t even think about in the moment and only realized afterward (hindsight is always 20/20!). That said, he took hundreds of photos and gave us an incredible variety of moments to look back on.

On the day of the wedding, he arrived early and was the ultimate professional. He didn't rush anyone, made amazing suggestions for photos, and provided early looks within 24 hours. As far as quality - the photos are phenomenal. Our daughter and her new husband (not to mention his family) have pictures and memories for a lifetime, thanks to his keen eye and knowledge of the area.

The area that we did our sunset photos and was rather crowded, yet given that Tad knew the area well, we were able to move to spots where there were less people and/or no other couples were around. allow. Tad has a great relationship with the planners at the venue and his personality and skills contributed to a nearly flawless event. Tad's pricing and policies are very reasonable too. We are so glad we chose Tad Craig Photography and highly recommend him!
