We hired Tad to do the photos for our destination wedding in Maui. He was very responsive with email and text communications and helpful with suggesting locations where we could have the beach ceremony since we are from out of state and not familiar with prime locations in Maui and with recommending an officiant. Honestly, is there anyone BETTER??? Tad is the most amazing photographer and when you get your photo's back from him you will see his gift. From where he takes the photos, the way he places you, poses you, everything is calculated to give you the most amazing pictures you've ever seen. He has been shooting my family pictures for the last 10-15 years and there is nobody that we would rather have take them. He communicates very well, he's punctual, he's kind and he cares what your pictures look like and how you feel about them. We used Tad Craig photography for our wedding in Maui, nine years ago, in 2012. We loved him so much then, that when we came back nine years later, we had him do sunset photos for us again! What we love about Tad, is his creativity and his energy. He made us feel so comfortable, and came up with the most creative and unique photo shot ideas. The area that we did our sunset photos and was rather crowded, yet given that Tad knew the area well, we were able to move to spots where there were less people and/or no other couples were around. We really appreciate his adventurous creativity and spirit. If you’re looking for amazing photos, look no further! He will capture some beautiful sunsets, sunrises, amazing water scenes and any other adventurous, family based or romantic type of photos what you might be looking for. Tad was INCREDIBLE. I’m not normally one to write reviews but I am for him. We postponed our wedding due to covid and decided to get married in Maui with our families. Tad was the perfect choice for our beach wedding pictures. He worked the camera and the clock to get the best sunset pictures ever. Looks like a movie setting!!

The package we chose for the most recent wedding (January 8, 2021) was 8 hours on the wedding day and a honeymoon adventure shoot a week later for the newlyweds. The pictures are absolutely gorgeous! Tad photographed my wife and I’s engagement and wedding and was absolute fantastic! We had so much fun with him and getting to know him we are now close friends and even were invited to attend Tad’s own wedding! He was professional and easy going and has the best artistic eye. Typically Tad does outdoor wedding shoots and when we told him we wanted to do Urban shots, he flawless executed something he was unfamiliar with at the time. Our family continues to rave about what amazing and beautiful photos he took of us and our family even months later. In June my boyfriend Chris asked me to marry him while on vacation in Hawaii. We were staying at the Four Seasons in Wailea, Maui and asked the front desk for recommendations on photographers to capture this special time. They recommended Tad Craig Photography. We contacted him and quickly set up a photo shoot. Tad was nice, friendly, punctual, and professional. He knew exactly where to go at sunset to capture the most breath taking photos. Tad was one of the photographers that was suggested to us for our 25th anniversary. I starting following him on Instagram and saw the amazing pictures he captured from all the special occasions. He captures the best of every couple, moment and the beauty of Maui. The first day we met him was on our special day. It felt as thou we already knew him. He was very personal, friendly, out going, caring and immediately started taking pictures of people that were in the present moment. From the time he arrived, during the ceremony and after he was taking pictures and capturing moments I didn't even see happen. My sister became the purse holder and he took a beautiful picture of her holding all the purses. From the smallest details of taking pictures of the rings, dress, etc to taking pictures of all the guest in all the beautiful settings and of course us (the couple). He asked if there were any positions or setting I wanted to take but I trusted him more than I trusted myself. Tad ask me to do a certain position that was a bet odd (position wise). I followed his lead and it has turned out to be one of my favorite pictures. Tad truly has an amazing eye for capturing the best of the couple and the surroundings. Tad will always be our photographer every time we return to Maui for a special occasion or just because. We couldn’t have selected a better person to photograph our special day! We didn’t have a big wedding planned, just an intimate ceremony with only the 2 of us in beautiful Maui. Even with a small intimate ceremony we were both a nervous wreck. Planning from across the country definitely added to our stress and our original photographer cancelled. Luckily, Tad was able to fit us in, holiday and all (Easter Sunday). We only had time for a few calls and emails beforehand! Tad arrived to the property shortly before the ceremony and from the first minute we met him, he smiled and joked with us making us feel like we knew him forever. Before, during and after the ceremony he was wonderful. We did a three hour shoot with him and he took us around the island stopping at some incredibly beautiful places. We spent the whole three hours laughing and smiling until our faces felt like they were going to break. He was patient, respectful and even lent us a hand walking down paths which led to some amazing areas. We are back home now and he has sent us some “teaser” shots, we can only hope ALL the shots are as amazing as the initial ones he sent. We hope to head back to Maui several more times in our life and each time hope to be in touch with Tad, if even just for an aloha and smile! Alex Lianne and I can't thank Tad Craig enough for photographing our wedding at the Hyatt Regency in Maui! He truly did a remarkable job. Last summer, my (now) wife, Alex Lianne and I debated for weeks whether to get a professional photographer or fly in a semi-professional friend to shoot our destination wedding in Maui. We had a few poses that we really wanted to capture and when we did our research and found Tad on Instagram, we were blown away by his portfolio. We quickly discovered that he checked all the boxes that we were looking for. What further impressed me was when we contacted him, he was quick to schedule a meeting to get a feel for what we were looking for, which turned into a Facetime call. When planning everything remotely, I felt this helped build the trust that we were seeking in capturing this special day. On the day of the wedding, Tad really did a great job in maximizing the time we had with him while keeping everyone calm, comfortable, and focused. Venue and wedding planner- Check. Next thing on the list is our photographer. I looked on Pinterest and Instagram for a few weeks and “liked” or “pinned” everything that caught my eye. About a month or two later, I looked back at all the items I saved and noticed that almost every photograph was taken by the same photographer, Tad Craig! I was set on Tad from the get-go, just by his eye-catching work. To be fair, I looked into a few other photographers that were also highly rated and recommended. Majority were higher priced than Tad and I thought Tad would be extremely expensive because of the quality of his work. For what you get from Tad, it’s definitely a great deal! Also, All vendors had great things to say about Tad! Having your vendors know each other and enjoy working together is a great recipe for a successful wedding! Wedding day is here— one of the first faces I see is Tad’s. He was racing against the clock taking as many photos as possible of the decor and scenery before the wedding party gets to the venue. He had been there for hours already, taking pictures of everything beautiful in sight during setup. This was nice because he got all of the photos of the table decor, alter, drinks, bouquets, and many other decor items before I even got there! As soon as I arrived, he focus solely on myself and my wedding party. He was extremely nice, funny, High-energy, and easy to talk to. I rarely felt like I was taking photos because he just wants everyone to act natural and have fun. Don’t pose for every picture— be in the moment! My husband and I do not take many photos. I’m lucky if I get him to smile for a photo! Somehow, Tad was successful. Smiling, laughing, kissing, talking, we didn’t feel like a camera was in our face the entire time because Tad kept saying to just be ourselves. It was nice having the reminder to “just be yourselves” when so many eyes are on you during your wedding. You also don’t want to look unnatural or uncomfortable/posed/staged in all your wedding photos. He did a great job of making us feel comfortable while capturing every moment at our wedding. He even stayed later to capture an amazing photo of me and my husband under the Milky Way. Everyone is in complete awe when they see that photo and it was Tad’s creative and fun ideas that sparked it all!! Immediately after the wedding, he posted a few sneak peak pictures on his instagram! I know he’s probably exhausted from the wedding, it’s the weekend, and he still put the bride & groom first by sharing a few beautiful photos from the wedding ASAP. We were able to send the photos the family and friends that couldn’t make it to the wedding back home, which was a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated.I got my photos back edited to perfection in an unbelievable amount of time.Tad knows the bride and groom are anticipating their photos and you can tell that he truly cares about the satisfaction of his clients by how quickly he sent the photos to us!On another note, my family and friends were obsessed with Tad.I was getting compliments on him all night, many saying man— I wish he was at my wedding years ago! My father-in-law talked about Tad for weeks after the wedding.To this day, he swears up and down he has never been around a more high energy, friendly, and talented photographer in his life. These qualities are reflected by his work.Tad is the best choice for a photographer.Hands down. I don’t think I need to explain any further, although I can go on and on!

Tad's photography is amazing and beautiful. He took pictures of my Sister in law and her husband's Vow Renewal in Maui September 2, 2018. Even though it was very hot and humid that day, he managed to capture so many great pictures. He really took his work seriously. Tad made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed during pictures. We chose Tad before we chose our venue - we did the research and just knew he was the one. We chose him for three reasons: 1. He understands composition, light, and color 2. His portfolio is stunning, and 3. When we talked to him, we quickly realized he was a good person and we felt at ease, which we figured would translate in our photos.
