My husband and I used Tailored Engagements for our fall wedding at the Pfister. Looking back at our wedding day I can't imagine doing it without Amanda and Julie. We planned our wedding from another state and they really helped with the planning and keeping us on track. I think we were able to enjoy our wedding that much more knowing we had nothing to worry about and that we were in the best hands. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Choosing Tailored Engagements was the most important part of my wedding planning! They made the rest easy. Amanda and Julie were amazing, and had every detail planned out so I didn't have to. I would recommend them to anyone!

Amanda and Julie were just fantastic to work with. We had a DIY-ish wedding at South Shore Pavilion. Because it was a park building, we were in charge of everything from food, drinks, decorations, set up, take down, and really did not have an event contact. Despite being quite organized people, we wanted to avoid stressing ourselves, family and friends out close to the day of and decided to go with their Cake package. Julie was fabulous in tying up loose ends in the weeks before the wedding, calling and confirming our vendors and making sure we had everything figured out. She ran our rehearsal, helped make sure the venue was set up perfectly, made sure everyone was on time. Our wedding went so smoothly and everything went off without a hitch. Many of my family members could not stop gushing about how fabulous Julie and her assistant were the day of. Initially, we were a little hesitant to hire a wedding planner, but it was well worth the money even on our relatively frugal, DIY budget.

Words cannot describe how thankful we were for Julie and Amanda's help throughout the planning process and the day of the wedding. Amanda helped us initially through vendor selection and identifying the details, and Julie partnered with us later in the process and handled everything the weeks leading up to and the day of the wedding. Not only are they super sweet and fun to work with, but they helped provide advice and recommendations for all aspects of our wedding. We wouldn't have known about most of our vendors if it weren't for them, and leveraging their relationships, we understood the ins and outs of planning for the big day. Any minor issues that arose in the process - they had great solutions. And if anything happened during the day of the wedding - well, we didn't know about it :) It was like having a best friend and partner available through the process - it never seemed like a working relationship. My entire family and my husband's family are so very thankful for all of the work that Amanda and Julie put in - going above and beyond. It made our wedding relaxing and a real dream come true. I would recommend them for anyone and everyone!!

My husband and I utilized this great servie - and Julie in particular - for our day of coordinator. What a fabulous decision that was!! Julie put my mind at ease all day (and before) and allowed me to be 100% in the moments. I would recommend to anyone! I was a long distance MOB and Julie made the wedding day experience incredible. Simply put, I cannot imagine things going more smoothly and Julie was the reason! Prior to the day, she worked with my daughter to plan details, made suggestions and served as mediator between vendors and the couple. All of this I heard about from my daughter and it sounded great, but the magnitude of the impact Julie had on this day was only apparent when we arrived for the wedding. Julie was on site early, took us through the process and just clearly had everything under control. She was prepared for any question, “don’t worry, it’s taken care of”, “relax, that's been done”… Having never been in a wedding, much less my daughter’s, we were pretty clueless-where to go, what comes next etc. Julie led everyone through their paces with a smile and patient understanding…. The evening passed in a blur and every time I saw her Julie had an eagle eye out, taking care of every little thing. We all just left the reception without a care and in the morning, the dress, the cake, the guest book… everything was at the front desk tidy and ready for us to pick up. The gifts had been whisked to the bridal suite during dinner.. In reliving it I can’t believe how many details were taken care of.. many things I am sure I didn’t even know were going on. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful the wedding day was! Given the stories one hears, I know that the smooth, calm day we had was due in no small part to Julie’s direction. I give her my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation, she will make your day the dream come true that everyone hopes for!!!

I'm so glad that we chose Tailored Engagements for our wedding. They really thought of everything and were so friendly. Throughout the ceremony and the reception they were proactive in terms of making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be and, when our DJ decided NOT to play the songs on our playlist (fun!), Julie was on it immediately. All of our guests raved about how much fun they had and we did dance quite a lot! Overall, I know that our wedding wouldn't have been a success without Tailored Engagements.

You're wedding day is a VERY special day and you don't want to be worried about the small things. Julie was a HUGE help! She was on top of things before I even knew they needed to be taken care of! Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and there is no way I could have enjoyed it as much without Julie there!

I had a great wedding day thanks to Tailored Engagements! I was a very busy bride during my wedding planning; working full time, going to graduate school and training for a marathon, so I needed a little help! Amanda helped me throughout all the planning and was a great resource for me in all my decision making. And my wedding coordinator Julie was an extremely helpful addition to my day :) She was always available and felt like a friend by the end of the night! I was able to relax and enjoy moments with my family and friends because I knew that things were taken care of. The entire reception was set up beautifully and the entire night ran smoothly and was so organized. I was getting married in three weeks when I unexpectedly had to switch planners – my first planner no-showed on our final meeting with the venue and caterer. Anyways, Julie was so helpful in making sure that all of the details were confirmed during those three weeks. She also attended my rehearsal, even though it was very last minute for her to fit that into her schedule. I had a large wedding and there was not a minute during my wedding day that I felt the need to coordinate/direct traffic. She was so supportive and so thorough in everything – from the ceremony and reception hall set up to keeping order with a large wedding party, she gave my mom, sister and I a chance to relax throughout the day and just enjoy ourselves. We had several compliments from our guests as well – they “wished they’d have had a planner like her”, and just overall impressed with her services. She was so kind and so professional. We were so fortunate to work with Amanda in planning our wedding. Planning a wedding from another state is challenging but Amanda made it a breeze to accomplish. She never steered us wrong. She always had great advice and set us up with the most amazing crew! When looking for a planner I wanted someone extremely organized, detail-oriented and relaxed - Amanda has all those qualities and more! She has great connections to vendors in the area and responds to emails really quickly! My moto from the beginning was “trust the professionals” because I wanted to enjoy my own wedding and not have to worry about micro-managing all the details, and Amanda did an amazing job! My mom begged me to hire a wedding planner and even though she offered to pay for it, I thought the money could be put to better use on a great cake or flowers. She believed that having a wedding planner would help us all enjoy the actual wedding day better even though I thought I could handle the details. But after our initial hour-long meeting with Amanda, I was giddy. Even my mom noticed the immediate wave of relaxation that came over my face. Throughout my 15 month engagement, Amanda was exactly what I needed. She was efficient, relaxed, unbelievably supportive, and the perfect sounding board for my ideas or frustrations. She answered my e-mails immediately, checked in with me regularly, and even helped me make decisions by suggesting solutions I hadn't even thought of. I was convinced that hiring her was the best purchase we had made well before the wedding took place but 2 months after I said "I do" that I realized she was superwoman. I was asked to be a personal attendant for one of my best friends 7 weeks after my own wedding. My feet were blistered by the time the ceremony began and then I realized there were a thousand details Amanda handled behind the scenes but never bothered me with them so I could enjoy myself. I worked with Amanda to plan my wedding for the summer of 2013... Or should I say Amanda worked to plan my wedding for the summer of 2013. I cannot say enough great things about her and how helpful she was. She did everything from setting up a budget to keep me on track, recommending vendors, looking over contracts to coordinating design elements. I am a busy girl, and Amanda was so organized and kept me on track throughout the wedding process to prevent a long to do list the week of the wedding. Amanda attended meetings and confirmed agenda items because I live out of state. She was attentive and responded right away whenever I needed anything. The 'big day' was truly a dream because of her hard work. I would definitely recommend her to help plan your next event. Thank you for making my big day amazing Amanda ;). You will be missed!

Like most people, we had an idea of what we wanted our wedding to look like, but we had no idea about what questions to ask, which vendors to trust, or what we needed to do ahead of time to arrange the smoothest most stress-free wedding. As a groom I was probably most in the dark about all of the above. We met with Amanda about 11 months ahead of our wedding and we clicked right away. She's very easy-going, unlike some really uptight wedding planners we also met with. But that easy-going nature certainly doesn't mean she skimps on the services. She is highly professional, maintains detailed notes about what you want out of your wedding, and does lots of the work of dealing with some less than friendly vendors. My only regret is that we didn't ask her to do more, but for us maintaining tight control over our day was very important and she was more than accommodating. Our parents were a little skeptical of us getting a planner in the first place, but they were married in a different time. For us, navigating the wedding industry without Amanda would have been a total nightmare. With her on our side, we felt much more at ease 9 months, 6 months, 3 months, 3 weeks before our wedding, and most of all on our wedding day.

My experience with Amanda was wonderful. She was very easy going and did not pressure me throughout the wedding process. Her prompt email/call/text responses were very much appreciated. She is/was consistently responsible. I will definitely be referring her to my friends! Amanda was always there for me whenever I needed her. I would highly recommend her for any party planning event. My wedding day would not have gone as smoothly as it did had Amanda not been there. I feel so fortunate to have worked with her! She made our wedding dream come true.

As MOB, starting a new job and working extremely long hours, I knew I would not be able to help my daughter plan and prepare for her wedding the way I had hoped. My daughter scheduled the interview with Amanda, and within the first 15 minutes, we both knew she was perfect...a neutral party, with awesome ideas, flexible to what the bride was looking for, and offering support and a service we really needed. She was a cure for my worrying during the preparation, and truthfully, made the "day of" an absolute dream. We didn't realize just exactly how many last minute things she handled / directed until weeks later. She was a calming influence during preparation, and even more so on that very special day. Not having been involved in a family wedding for more than 20 years, things have changed, and she was there to guide us every step of the way. In retrospect, it was the best money spent in the whole budget, because it allowed the bride and groom to just enjoy their day, yet make sure it was what they wanted. They knew the details were being taken care of. I wholeheartedly recommend her services!

Hiring Amanda and her team was by far the best decision that we made when planning our wedding. We loved that she offered different levels of service that we could customize to what we were looking for, and especially with trying to plan from out-of-town, her vendor recommendations were incredibly helpful. Amanda is one of the most professional individuals I have ever worked with, and she surrounds herself with people of the same caliber, including the vendors with whom she has built strong relationships. On top of all of the pre-planning, I would say that her day-of services alone would have been worth all of it - We didn't have to worry about a thing, and it is amazing how many "things" there could be throughout the day if it wasn't for her and her team. My husband didn't fully understand why I wanted to hire a wedding planner until the day of our wedding. We had a very large bridal party with several out of town guests and vendors from all over Wisconsin and Illinois. Amanda was able to tie everything together seamlessly. Amanda was by far our best purchase. The day of your wedding is such an important day that you shouldn't feel overwhelmed with questions and things to do. Amanda is able to handle all of those last minute details. You can tell that Amanda has done this before. She seemed to be prepared for everything that could come up.

We were extremely pleased and would recommend Tailored Engagements to anyone who asked. We had high expectations and Amanda met them all. She was professional, personable, very attentive to detail, and an excellent quarterback to make certain everything went smoothly as we wished it to occur. I can't image our wedding without Amanda. Not only was she there to answer our every question leading up to the wedding, but she made our day more beautiful and perfect than I ever imagined it would be. In the beginning, she helped me hone in on a specific vision and style for the wedding since I felt a bit unsure about what exactly I wanted...I just knew I wanted something amazing. And that is exactly what I got :) Amanda had a lot of diy ideas to help us cut some costs, but still look amazing. I knew Amanda did amazing work, but it was beyond anything I imagined. She worked so hard on every little detail and nailed it. I had friends and family come up and tell me that ours was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. We can't thank you enough Amanda, our wedding was perfect and so beautiful!

I was referred to Amanda through a friend and I can't say enough great things about her. She helped me so much in planning for the big day and brought up SO much stuff I never ever would have thought of on my own. I had so many plans of what I thought I should do, but Amanda was really encouraging but was also great at bringing me back to reality and giving me tips on things I could easily do, and what was going to cause me a bigger headache in the end. And she was so right! I laugh a lot with my family about was a mess my wedding would have been without Amanda's advice. (Just her tip on alphabetizing the place cards the night before saved me hours on my wedding day - who knew I would be so bad at knowing the alphabet under pressure??) One thing I loved most about Amanda is how she shared her own experiences about her own wedding and about other brides she's worked with. It's clear she knows what she's doing and has been there, done that. I just love what a "real" person she is. I would highly recommend her!

I cannot imagine planning a wedding without Amanda. She was absolutely wonderful, and made our wedding day amazing. Tailored Engagements was wonderful for what I wanted, someone to take the details off of my hands the month leading up to my wedding. Amanda was very professional and took wonderful notes on everything that I needed. She asked all the right questions and would respond quickly whenever I needed something. It was wonderful to have Amanda taking care of things on my wedding day, and she even ran my rehearsal for us. She put out a few fires for me the day of the wedding, which made my day that much more enjoyable. She took care of all of the details, so that I had nothing to worry about at the end of the night.

The only wedding planning mistake I made was not calling Amanda sooner. From our first meeting 10 months before our wedding day to even days after as we sorted things out, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease that my wedding day would be perfect. Amanda handled everything the day of and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a worry free wedding day. We had to completely change our ceremony arrangements due to weather 2 hours before guests were to arrive but I did not have to worry because I knew Amanda had it all taken care of and our new indoor location would be just as beautiful as the one outside. My future mother-in-law was her biggest skeptic and after the wedding she told me the wedding could not have turned out as perfect as it did without Amanda’s help. Amanda is simply amazing!

The decision to hire Amanda with Tailored Engagements was one that my husband and I did late in the planning process, and we were very skeptical of the whole "wedding planner" thing. But of ALL the decisions that we made for our wedding, it was absolutely the best. Hiring Amanda took a huge weight off of my shoulders, and we only hired her for styling, setup, and clean up. Looking back, if I had known what great work she does, and how WORTH the money she is to hire, I would have gone with the full package right from the beginning. We now know for certain that without Amanda's help, our wedding would not have turned out the way it did. Amanda has been a LIFESAVER with all of my wedding planning. She knows the ins and outs of weddings better than anyone else. Whenever I have a question about something, Amanda provides me with so many different options to choose from and presents them in such a concise and condensed way. It REALLY saves me so much time from researching everything and Amanda always has ideas that are unique and in line with my taste and style. Amanda has been a very calming force throughout my wedding planning process, whenever I start to feel nervous or overwhelmed, she is reassuring and goes above and beyond her role as a planner to make me feel relaxed and excited throughout the planning process. She creates the most beatiful tablescapes and decor and has the ingenuity to create an atmosphere for your wedding that is more beautiful than most can even imagine.

I don’t know what I would have done without Tailored Engagements. Amanda referred amazing vendors so that we didn’t have to spend hours searching and researching. She also helped me design the reception and ceremony. Every detail was beautiful, and we got so many compliments on the wedding and how elegant everything looked. My wedding wouldn’t have been anywhere near what it was without Amanda!

Amanda, did an amzaing job. When we first spoke she asked me what was the most important aspect of our wedding, I told her that I wanted my family and friends to feel special and have a fantastic evening. Amanda was in a word, amazing!! We lived over 1,700 miles from where we got married, so to say the least, Amanda was a lifesaver for us! She was available, helpful, had great ideas, and helped us stay on track as the big day approached. We only went out a couple times before the wedding and she had everything planned out that we needed to see and make decisions on which took a lot of the stress out for us. The day of the wedding Amanda was there with her assistant and it made the whole day go so smoothly. From setup to take down, Amanda was there to make sure everything went without a hitch and was just the way we wanted it! We even rented some decorations from her that made the reception decor amazing! If you are looking at a few wedding planners and are undecided or you have just started, Amanda is professional, experienced and listens to what you want and makes it happen!

Tailored Engagements was the best choice I made to plan our wedding! Amanda was so easy to work with and new exactly how to make my day memorable. I rented items from her which I have never seen before and also had her by my day of coordinator. She is a great listener and has the best ideas and also wants to save you money! I am a full time graduate student, part time nurse, and part time nursing instructor so planning a wedding without help was proving to be a nightmare. Amanda took over the reigns and made sure that everything was confirmed, helped me hunt down esther fleming to make sure that my flowers would be in order, and just helped with odd ball arrends. My husband and I are both very busy people. We didn't have a lot of time to plan our wedding but still wanted it to be a nice event for our guests and a reflection of who we are as a couple. I was the Maid of Honor in a wedding Amanda planned. Tailored Engagements was amazing! I wish I had found them when I got married! Amanda was there all day, helping with anything the bride needed. We hired Amanda as a Day of Coordinator for our wedding. It was great to have someone we trusted coordinating all of the details so that we didn't have to worry about it. Amanda not only coordinated the day of our wedding but helped in so many other ways. She was a great resource for questions as well as advice and took over all of the details a few weeks before the wedding so that we could focus on each other, our friends and family.
