Her suggestions and professionalism took away a lot of the typical wedding stress. We also cannot say enough about the amazing team she has put together. Our day of coordinator Andrea was much more than just day of. Her communication with our vendors, professionalism and friendliness was a huge factor in the success of the day. The same can be said of her assistant Hayley, both were a joy to work with. Sarah (florals) and Julie (design) took our suggestions and along with their professional experience were able to create the most gorgeous atmosphere for us along with our guests. We also elected to use Takk for our catering and of course they too were amazing. We received numerous compliments on the food, both appetizers and mains. We wanted to thank and recommend Takk house and their phenomenal team to everyone, they were fantastic!

Julie and Sarah, who handled the design and florals respectively, executed our vision perfectly. They were both incredibly collaborative and very enthusiastic about our ideas. They also did a great job of seamlessly integrating our own décor pieces into the space and paired them well with the venues own pieces. The space itself is so unique and all of the rooms are impeccably decorated. The karaoke room downstairs in the Franklin Alley Social Club was a huge hit with our guests following the reception. We used Takk House’s own catering service for our reception. All of the food we had was delicious and their catering team was extremely flexible in working with us to create our menu. Takk House is an absolutely beautiful and unique venue with an experienced and dedicated staff that helped us plan our ideal wedding!

l my anxieties. There was good communication with Heidi quickly answering my questions however small or large. In our month out meeting both Heidi and Frank again alleviated our worries about having everything covered but also by giving us so much helpful guidance with picking our linens, bar menu and envisioning the whole event. We ended up using a few of their recommended vendors and were so happy with that experience as well. We had the best night with so many compliments on how cool the venue was. Our “wandering” cocktail hour with a bar upstairs and downstairs made for such a unique experience. Overall, the feeling in the room was exactly what we wanted and the space itself and the hard work of Heidi and Frank really made it all come together.

elping to guide us through the whole insane process of planning a wedding - from helping us find vendors when we were in a bind, to making suggestions on what we could do and how to put some personal little touches, etc. They were so flexible with us and really helped to pull the whole event together. They even let us bring our little pup as part of our ceremony! There is a gorgeous getting ready area that we used (and a sweet little man cave downstairs for the guys), and we were able to get some really beautiful photos. We had about 90 guests or so altogether, and we fit comfortably in the reception area downstairs and the bar. The Takk House is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Downtown Troy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to host an event.

ve the time or resources to have a totally DIY wedding. The Takk House was the perfect solution for this. The space is so unique and can really stand its own, but is also as customizable as you want it to be. Heidi and Frank were so helpful with this, really listened to how we wanted things to be, and made sure the day of that things went smoothly. They worked with me to make sure I could have access when I needed to drop things off early, etc and were available all night to assist with any of our needs and concerns. Because we came up to my hometown from the city for our wedding being able to have space for both the girls and guys to get ready was perfect for us to really have a spacious (and ascetically pleasing!) area for everyone to be together. There are so many amazing areas to take pictures both inside and outside of the venue. We also opted to add on their in house photobooth which worked out perfectly because we didn't need to pay another vendor and the guests had a blast using it. The vintagey vibes and soft lighting literally made the whole night feel like the perfect dream. The space was so unique and all my guests couldn't stop talking about how much they loved it. Having my wedding at the Takk House was better than I could have ever imagined!

i and Frank for a while and ended up scheduling a meeting to come back. When we did, we knew it was the right place for us because we wanted something unique and nontraditional. Not only is the space amazing and beautifully decorated, but it was the cheapest option we had looked at AND the most flexible with respect to vendors and decorations– Heidi and Frank are okay with just about anything because they sincerely want to help your wedding vision come to life. We also used their BEAUTIFUL farm tables which we and our guests loved! Throughout the night and in the weeks afterwards, our guests told us how much they loved the venue because it was so unique and unlike any venue they’ve been to, which is exactly what we wanted!! If you want a wedding venue that is beautiful, different, flexible, and affordable, the Takk House is ABSOLUTELY the way to go!

s which was also amazing. They did most of the clean up and allowed us time the day before and the day after to set up/pick up. Heidi really made sure everything went smoothly and I felt comfortable the entire day. I can't say enough good things about the venue and the owners.

s!! They were so accommodating and friendly to us, our crazy families, and many many guests! My mother broke her leg the day before the wedding and they were so kind and heldful getting her in and out of the building and making sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed during the day. Heidi took our many boxes of decorations and displayed everything so beautiful through the venue and they turned over the ballroom from our ceremony to reception so quickly and flawlessly. We could not be happier with our venue choice of The Takk House and the help of Heidi and Frank with everything. Our pictures and video came out so amazing, we already love to look at them over and over and relive the day!

space is decorated so beautifully on its own, and is the perfect space for you to add your own personalized touches. Our guests were wow-ed!

from the initial tour (done by video as I live in HK) to the night itself easy and fun. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
