INCREDIBLE!!!! Everything we could have ever dreamed of happened because of Michael and the beautiful Talega golf course. INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. We are sooo thankful for everything that Michael did. He went above and beyond!! Everyone said it was the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding.. And our signature drink... OMG. It was better than a cocktail bar.. Multiple guest asked me the next coming weeks how it was made to get it again. Everything was so beautiful and I seriously cannot thank ENOUGH the staff and how hard of a worker Michael is. THANK YOU. Seriously cried of happiness looking at how beautiful the event space was the day of. THANK YOU!

We LOVED our wedding at Talega. It was a beautiful venue for both an outdoor ceremony/ cocktail hour and indoor for dinner and dancing. Michael (Director of Food & Bev) is professional, friendly, and genuinely made us feel so valued throughout the entire planning process. His team was also amazing, including the chef and kitchen staff. Our guests raved about the food! The service and attention to detail seemed higher than other venues we looked at, and we are so happy we chose this venue. Also, we did choose some vendors from the preferred vendor list, and they were just as amazing as the Talega team.

Talega Golf Club is an incredible venue for a wedding ceremony and reception, or for any major family event. The club’s grounds, its beautiful facilities, and the views simply complimented this important day for the bride & groom and their guests. The flow of the evening’s events from outdoor ceremony, to the post wedding cocktail reception, and to indoor dinner & reception was flawless. Talega Golf Club was the ideal location to make our wedding dreams come true, but the real icing on the cake was having Michael. Michael is the Event Director for Talega and he doubled as our Day of Coordinator. From our first tour of the property to the big day, Michael was nothing short of spectacular. His communication, attention to detail, and ease to work with, made him made the absolute shining star of this industry. If the beauty of the grounds does not entice you enough to have a wedding here, Michael sure will. Michael and his team ensured everyone at our wedding was comfortable, drinks were never empty, food was delicious, vendors were directed and the setup was impeccable. He even ended the night by stocking our getaway car with champagne and dessert to enjoy. He made our day magical, stress-free, and one we will truly never forget!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Talega. Everything was absolutely fantastic and very high quality. Michael was amazing to work with as well and made the entire experience seamless. All my guests have been raving about the good food, wonderful service, and beautiful venue. I would highly recommend this wedding venue! You will not be disappointed!

Man, oh man...where do I even start? My husband and I saw a few venues in Orange County after getting engaged December 2020, but nothing compared to the intimate charm of Talega Golf Club . Upon walking into the California courtyard, we met Michael. Dressed in a suit and super professional, he greeted us with a warm smile and continued to explain all the details about having a wedding at Talega. Instead of a pushy coordinator that tries to get you to buy an extremely confusing and expensive package, he has everything simplified so that you know exactly what your getting priced per person, with everything included (even service fees!). While other venues in Orange County are very beautiful, we had a warm feeling about Talega that I could not get my mind off of. I t may have been Michael, but it just felt so much like "us." We viewed Talega for a second time and decided this was our spot to say "i do." Throughout the entire year, Michael was there to answer EVERY SINGLE QUESTION I had. Even all the silly ones about candles, candy stands, and menu copy. He was like a friend throughout the entire process that I trusted completely. Not only skilled in what he does (having done over 2250 weddings..yup!), but also his demeanor made me feel like I had known him for much longer than I actually did. Now, when it came to the actual wedding...you guys...everything was FLAWLESS! I never had to worry about a thing because Michael and his assistant, Myra were by my side all day. Helping guests make their way to their seats, setting up EVERYTHING, making sure the entire wedding went perfectly. I can't tell you what a value it is to have people there for you on your big day like the staff at Talega. Not to mention the FOOD WAS INSANE. Every filet was cooked perfect and the salmon sauce was perfection. The presentation of the food was outstanding. Not typical wedding food that's cold and "meh." I got so many compliments on how delicious everything was. I could keep on going, but I'm going to stop. HA! The last thing I'll say, if you want a venue that feels like HOME...with a friendly staff, and people that actually CARE about you and your day—pick Talega. I'll cherish it for the rest of my days. xoxo

I feel so blessed to have found Talega as our wedding venue and we had the honor of getting married here in October 2021. Michael and his team are an absolute dream to work with! We started our venue search in January of 2020... after visiting many venues I was starting to feel defeated with being able to find a venue that could host a wedding of our size (150 guests) that wouldn't blow our entire wedding budget, then we found Talega. The venue was beautiful, Michael was so professional and great, the prices were extremely worth the value with so many amenities included, we really felt like we hit the jackpot and immediately booked for March of 2021. Then covid hit and we all know what happened... the entire time Michael was super responsive in keeping us up to date on latest guidelines and policies and in summer of 2020 I reached out seeing if we could push our date out further in 2021. Michael immediately sent us open dates for later in the year and made rescheduling such a breeze. Aside from being so accommodating and flexible, Michael truly puts 100% of his experience and heart into your day. We utilized his services as day of coordinator, and trust me when I say you don't need anyone but Michael to help you on your big day. From slinging chairs, to touching up details, to fluffing your dress, to refilling our champagne cart in the break area, Michael is truly somehow everywhere and right where you need him at same time. As he escorted me around the building before I walked down the aisle, he asked me how I was feeling and I replied "Ready and calm" and in that moment thanked him for everything he had done, I was soooo calm because I knew he had everything handled! In addition to the amazing staff you will find at Talega, the food is seriously the best wedding food you will ever eat. We had so many guests reach out to us after the day that commented on how delicious it was! And the venue is just stunning. It has the classic California mission style architecture with beautiful views, giant windows, market lights in the courtyard, multiple options for table decor included, a sparkler sendoff.... there isn't much more you can ask for out of a venue! So if you're looking at this review and contemplating Talega, book it now... every expectation I had about our wedding day was exceeded and I am so grateful Talega was where we said "I do"

I honestly cannot even put into words how incredible this venue is, and how valuable the lead venue coordinator (Michael) is. From my initial email to get more information, to the day before, Michael was the most detailed, organized, charismatic, and professional person to work with. Let me just say this: if you are looking to have the perfect wedding and have things done well, book this place ASAP. Michael is so detail oriented and knows everything about how to have a perfect wedding. His recommendations for what to do and not to do are spot on (makes sense given that he has done over 2,000 weddings ... yep, you read that correctly!) I am a total type A, perfectionist, micro-manager, very hard to please person and even I was blown away by how perfect my wedding was! So please, I beg you, book this venue. In a perfect world, if I was super rich, I would PAY YOU to have your wedding here! So, what makes it so special you may ask? Let's get into it. 1. Michael will take care of practically everything for you. So if you are an organized bride that wants a partner in crime that is equally as organized and invested in your wedding, Michael is your guy! 2. The venue itself is gorgeous! The ceremony space is beautiful and the reception space is tastefully decorated, with a cute foyer and a very spacious bar! The flow of the evening from outdoor ceremony, to cocktail hour, to indoor reception is flawless. And guess who ushers your guests to cocktail hour, points them to the seating chart, encourages them to sign the guestbook, leads them inside, etc ... yep, you guessed it. Michael! 3. THE. FOOD. Most of the reviews you read about Talega will most likely mention the food, and for a good reason. This is NOT your typical wedding food. Repeat. NOT your typical gross, soggy chicken with pasta, wedding food. My guests are still talking about the food, and I will for the rest of my life. TOP TIER. Even the presentation of the food on the plate is beautiful, and very aesthetically pleasing! 4. Vendors recommendations! One of the best things in my opinion was the recommendations I got from Michael about who to choose for things like DJ, Florist, Getaway Car, etc. Like I said earlier, Michael doesn't let you have a bad wedding so you best bet that his endorsement of these vendors goes a long way. And I can sit here today (2 weeks after my wedding) and say that every single person he recommended was incredible! So when I booked Talega I not only checked venue off of the list, but I checked off my florist, DJ, getaway car, and even the cake baker! Because guess what? Included with your price booking of Talega is a bakery in Dana Point. I was able to get a 2-tier wedding cake and around 200 mini desserts. The dessert table looked so good and was set up so tastefully (Michael set it up so of course it looked good) 5. Price and packages! For what you get from Talega the pricing is extremely reasonable and there are NO. HIDDEN. FEES. The price per person that you pay includes tax, service fee, and tip. This makes it so incredibly easy to know what you are getting yourself into financially. Just shoot Michael an email asking for more information and you will get the PDF that tells you everything that is included, which is a lot so you shouldn't have to spend much more when it comes to the venue. I am running out of words in my review so I will leave it at this: stop the search, BOOK TALEGA! PLEASE! You will look back and thank yourself, I promise.

Where to start, Talega made all my wedding dreams come true! The property is gorgeous but it would be nothing without Michael and his staff!! He was an absolute gem all throughout wedding planning, a postponed covid wedding, a replanned wedding and the wedding day!!! We booked this venue a year out from our wedding, its a popular spot don't wait, and are so glad we did. We scheduled multiple meetings with Michael to go over ceremony and reception specifics and he was never bothered. He kept everything so organized and on schedule and had a plan for everything. Michael and his entire staff were nothing short of amazing, the drinks and the food, wow everyone was so impressed!! We ended up having to have everything outside due to covid and had to change so many plans but Michael was on it every step of the way. If you book here you are sure to be in great hands! I may be bias but outside turned out better than I could have ever imagained!! Every detail was beautiful, Michael let us borrow signage, table decorations, etc and it all came together better than I could have ever imagained it. Thank you Michael, Tommy and Staff for everything, you all went above and beyond and made our day absolutely perfect!! Would recommend Talaga to any bride because it is truly that special!

We cannot say enough about how amazing this venue and team was! Michael and Tommy went above and beyond to make our day special and exactly what we wanted and made sure it was stress free! Such an amazing value for what you get and we continue to receive compliments about how beautiful everything was and how great the food was! So many people said it was the best wedding food they have ever had and the presentation and service was above and beyond! It was such an amazing day we wish we could relive over and over!

This venue was perfect for me. I was a bride that didn’t want to go all over finding everything. I wanted all my options there. This linen, that table number, those candles, etc. The entire team at Talega made the process enjoyable and they put together a beautiful day and night for my groom and I. All my guests raved about their food, and I would give a big shoutout to the teams professionalism. Everything went off with out a hiccup

This place was a God send. I had my gorgeous wedding here and I cannot give enough thanks to Michael and Tommy. I hired them to do the day of coordination also and everything went off perfectly. I was able to use many of the club's decor which saved me money. Also, I made my own flowers and the crew did their thing to incorporate it into the venue. I still get compliments on the food! Michael and Tommy are the absolute best, they kept everything running smoothly. This venue is amazing and beautiful, all my guest have been telling me that my wedding was one of the best weddings they have been to. Food is amazing as well!

You would be stupid if you did not pick this venue to get married at! I just had my wedding last Saturday at Talega and it was FLAWLESS! The entire process was easy and simple and there was not one issue at all. EVERYONE of my guests came up to me telling me how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the enitre wedding was. I even still have people posting photos from the wedding saying how great my coordinators were. You would be making the biggest mistake of your life if you dont pick this venue. Michael and Tommy have every deatil down to a science. They did all the work to make sure everything came out perfectly and it did! They even went out their way to make sure Dannya nd I were happy the entire time during the reception and we had drinks in our hands. There are not enough words to explain how amanzing this place is. Just go check it out and you will be sold on the first visit.

My husband and I had our wedding here on January 13, 2018 and were so incredibly happy that we chose Talega as our venue! The club and the golf course are absolutely stunning and the ambiance was perfect. The food was excellent and the staff were kind, responsive, and overall outstanding! Seriously, our friends and family have been raving about the food nonstop! Michael and Tommy ensured that the whole day went off without a hitch and were lovely to work with throughout the whole process. They were especially terrific on the day of the wedding and went out of their way to make sure that everything went smoothly. If you are in search of a venue you should definitely take a look at Talega - you won't regret it!

Wow. Talega is the BEST! We had our reception here July 1, 2017 and cannot sing higher praises of Michael and his team. The venue itself was beautiful and the food was served in a timely fashion and was delicious. They are able to accommodate almost any dietary restriction and we had quite a few- they truly went above and beyond to make sure all of our guests were comfortable. We loved how they had set aside appetizers for us and made us eat our dinner because many brides and grooms never eat at their wedding! We hired a wedding planner when we first got engaged and she helped us find Talega, and even she said that working with Michael was every vendor's dream come true. It was amazing to see how all of our vendors worked so well together. Also, the venue was very reasonably priced. Compared to other venues in the area, you truly are getting a lot of bang for your buck. Again couldn't speak more highly of Talega, and we will definitely be back!

The absolute BEST venue! Michael and Tommy are amazing in every aspect from planning to the day of. The ceremony space is outside and gorgeous, reception is indoor in a beautiful large room. Lots of space and huge bar to accomodate guests. Food and service was top notch and our families are still telling us how great the food was (and wedding food usually sucks!) Dance floor is right in the center to keep the party going all night. Outside space with lights to cool down, also where we had our photo booth. Sparkler send off at the end was epic! It is the BEST venue!!!

We hired Michael and Tommy last month to take care of our wedding day and it was the best decision we made throughout the process. These two gentlemen were so helpful and supportive over the wedding prep and the big day itself. Talega is beautiful but Michael and Tommy make Talega the best spot for a wedding in SoCal. My husband Seth and I had our wedding at Talega just this past weekend (12-10-16). There are not enough words to describe how amazing Michael, Tommy and the entire staff are! They made our wedding flawless! From the very first time we stepped foot on to the venue, Michael and Tommy always went the extra step to make sure we always had everything we needed. They were incredibly helpful during the entire planning process and were in constant contact with us. Every email and phone call was returned within a timely manner, and when you're planning a wedding.... boy is that important! They made the planning process so easy and even helped with last minute details. The wedding day itself was just perfect! Michael and Tommy, the catering staff... everyone was so attentive to us and all of our guests. They made sure everyone had everything they needed at all times! They made the entire night run so smoothly and helped me feel so relaxed and able to enjoy my special night. If you're looking for a venue for your wedding or special event... I would highly recommend Talega! You will be blown away at the service and beautiful venue. I had my dream wedding here and I wouldn't change a thing!! I can't stress enough about how amazing Talega Golf Club is. Michael, the coordinator and his team are beyond incredible. The food is absolutely amazing. People at the wedding were not even comparing the food to other weddings, but just in general saying it was one of the best meals they have ever had. The ceremony site and reception room are gorgeous! It feels like you are in your own world and nothing is happening other than your wedding. The package comes with everything you could want. It has more than any other venue in the area that we looked at, and for a better price. Michael and his team work tirelessly to perfect your wedding. He provides so many things, decorations, etc. He completely goes above and beyond. Because of Michael the planning process was completely stress free. Talega Golf Club is a dream come true.

Micheal at Talega really knows what he is doing. He made sure everything I wanted was taken care of and is just an overall good person. Also, when you consider everything you get with the packages available this is by far the best value around. Would have my reception here all over again if I could.

The venue was perfect for our wedding. We absolutely loved everything about it from the first meetings to the day of orangization, everything was beyond perfect. The food was great, the staff was excellent and the venue its self is just gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We gad 167 people attend and everyone had a blast.

I chose Talega for my wedding experience and it was such a great choice! I felt that through the whole planning process I was rarely stressed and that Michael could handle anything. I had looked at several different venues in the Orange County area before looking at Talega. I was at my wits end and was wondering if I would ever find the "perfect" venue for our wedding. I knew that Talega existed but I didn't even consider it because I thought that it would be out of my price range. However, my mom and I gave it a chance. We set up an appt. with Michael to view the property and see what the wedding package included. As soon as I arrived and looked at the location and asthetics of the buildings I fell in love. Michael the Wedding and Catering coordinator was absolutely wonderful. He was very attentive and totally into details. He doesn't miss a beat and he is completely up with the times. He has wonderful ideas and is so helpful along the way. The packages that he offers can't be beat. You definitely get more than you pay for. On the first visit to Talega, I didn't even leave until I had my date in the books. This is how much I loved it and didn't even have to think about comparring Talega to the other venues that I had looked at. I would highly recommened Talega to any bride and groom that is looking for a beautiful and romantic setting.

Talega was such a gorgeous place to get married. Their outdoor ceremony area is just beautiful and I was so excited about having the ceremony outside. That all changed when it started to rain an hour before the ceremony was supposed to begin. Everything that was outside had to be moved had to be moved into the reception room which I wasn't too thrilled about at the time just because I was so set on having it outside. That all changed though when I walked down the aisle. I couldn't believe the beauty and coziness of the room- it was everything I had ever hoped for and looked absolutely stunning. The room was lit by candles and the walls we up lit with purple hues which was my main color. We had about 100 guests and the reception room was just perfect for that amount- it kept everything so intimate! The only complaint I had about Talega was with the coordinator who organizes everything. He didn't help me out AT ALL with the ceremony run through at the rehearsal. I ended up running my own rehearsal which was very embarrassing. On the day of the wedding he didn't let me or my wedding party know when we were supposed to walk down the aisle. I had to get a close family member at the last minute to come help with timing. I felt embarrassed and didn't understand why he refused to help out with that. His job is to coordinate the weddings. I was very disappointed as it created extra stress for me. At the reception he refused to feed one of our photographers because we had 4 vendor meals and I had 5 vendors. I knew of at least 5 guests who didn't show up to the wedding whose meals I had already paid for. I didn't understand why it was such a big deal to feed my photographer when there were meals available that I had paid for. After having family talk to him, he finally gave in and agreed to feed our other vendor but didn't make it easy on us at all. He was very helpful though in setting up the room and it was so nice of him to move everything that had been setup outside to the inside. I didn't have to worry about setting anything up. All I had to do was drop off all my things at the rehearsal with little notes as to where I wanted things to go (champagne flutes, cake cutters, favors, place cards, wishing tree,picture frames, guest book...)and when I actually had the opportunity to see the room I was blown away at how beautifully and wonderfully he had done at setting it all up! Everything was perfect and just where I wanted it. The food at Talega is outstanding and all my guests told me how much they loved the entrees. Everything came out hot and his staff was very attentive to my husband and I, as well as all our guests. The night flowed very smoothly. My friends can't stop talking about our wedding and how much fun they had. I still have guests calling me and telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to!! What more could a bride ask for?! I would recommend sorting out the ceremony issue before the day of the wedding and maybe even hiring a coordinator just to do that part if possible. One other thing that was really nice was since it rained on our wedding day, our photographers were having a difficult time getting a variety of good shots after the ceremony. The coordinator said that we could come back on a weekend with them and redo our photos. I thought that was really nice of him and he took us on a golf cart all over the grounds when we came back with our photographers a few weekends later. Overall I was pleased with Tale

I met with the even coordinator, Michael and I couldn't have been more happy. I am convinced my wedding day was flawless because of Michael and the DJ Michael referred me to. Talega is very affordable and the golf club is a beautiful backdrop and the private golf cart ride to the lake makes with complimentary champagne on the way makes for great photos. His staff was also very attentive and happy. Michael and his staff take pride in food and was the best food I tasted at a wedding. The cake was also included which helped to save money and the night was complete with a sparkler send off! Perfect night thank you to Talega and his staff.
