Our wedding weekend at Tarpon Lodge was everything we hoped for and more. From Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, it felt like stepping into a timeless piece of Old Florida- intimate, relaxed, and full of charm. Having 22 couples stay onsite transformed our wedding into a true weekend experience. Fresh air in the morning’s, sunset views in the evening’s- it felt meaningful and unhurried. If you care deeply about what your guests are eating, this is your place. Our “tasting” with Chef was the highlight of wedding planning. The food was thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and one of the most complimented parts of the entire weekend. The service struck that rare balance of polished yet genuinely warm. And Peach, the Event Coordinator- what an absolute blessing to anyone’s path she crosses. She provided a level of peacefulness throughout the planning process and complete attentiveness the day of. We began the celebration with our rehearsal dinner at Cabbage Key, which perfectly complemented the nostalgic coastal feel of the weekend. Tarpon Lodge isn’t just a venue- it’s an experience. We would choose it again and again.

Sunlight shines off the Gulf of Mexico. A gentle breeze sways through the palm trees while expert chefs prepare the meal you and your guests will never forget. Tarpon Lodge won’t be the focal point of your experience, just the perfect backdrop for it. Tarpon Lodge features a 4-star restaurant, beautiful grounds and a heated pool. Guests can enjoy fishing, boating, nearby golf, local museums and quaint art galleries. Stay in our Boathouse or Cottage or choose between the charming rooms in our 1926 Historic Lodge or the island-style rooms in our Island House. Consider a rehearsal dinner or honeymoon stay at Tarpon Lodge or at our sister property, the legendary Cabbage Key. Both properties have a tropical, “Old Florida” feeling, promising a treasured experience for you and your guests.

Ashley "Peach" Johnson brings 20 years of event experience, from working with renowned national and international pageant systems to owning her own successful system. She has worked closely with Prelims to Miss USA, prelims to Miss America, she was the Georgia State Director for IJM International and held the exclusive pageant hosted at Dollywood Theme Park for almost a decade. Now, as the wedding coordinator at Tarpon Lodge, Peach is here to make your wedding day unforgettable, blending her expertise with her own warm, personal touch.

e the obvious choice for my own wedding. My husband loves fishing and being on the water and I loved the beautiful cozy feel of the inn. We had our rehearsal dinner there catered by a food truck and had tarpon lodge supply the bar. Our wedding was on the dock with a cocktail hour at the gazebo on the green and our dinner and reception inside. We rented out the whole hotel for our out of town guests to book- having everyone stay right there was so convenient. Everything was stunning, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so US. Shoreh was incredibly helpful and fantastic to work with. We had so much fun and have already been back to visit since! Shoreh immediately recognized us and was so kind. We ended up moving out to pine island and can’t wait to visit Tarpon Lodge time and time again and are grateful for all the beautiful memories it will forever provide!

ng again a few months later we knew if was the perfect wedding venue for us. Shohreh and her team are absolutely fantastic! Shohreh was very responsive and helpful throughout the wedding planning process and made our rehearsal meet and greet/wedding reception run smoothly. Her staff were professional and friendly. We were so impressed that they brought appetizers and drinks to us and our family as we were taking pictures after the ceremony. Not only are the staff top notch, but the location of Tarpon Lodge can't be beat. Our ceremony and cocktail hour overlooked the water and we were able to have our first dance with the sun setting in the background. We know we will continue visiting Tarpon Lodge for years to come.

dge to ourselves. However the sun was in our eyes for the ceremony and the sand fleas were horrible. I have scars all over my arms from being bitten up so horribly. For weeks after the wedding, anyone with exposed skin had bug bites. My arms alone had over 50 bites on each arm. The service we received at the reception was second to none, however the dance floor is small and would not have accommodating any larger of a wedding. We had about 60 guests.

storic appeal and natural beauty of the property. We’re happy to hear that you’re pleased with the service you received. We apologize that no-see-ums were a problem for you and the guests during the ceremony. Unfortunately, certain acts of nature are beyond our control. While we do treat our grounds regularly by a licensed pest control company, repeated applications of the chemicals that eliminate no-see-ums can cause irreversible damage to the environment, wildlife and possibly our staff and guests. Bug spray is made available to guests on request and has proven to be an effective solution to sporadic periods of bug activity. Had we been made aware of the problem we would have provided it. We want to help in any way possible to make our guests' stay both pleasant and memorable. It was our pleasure to host you and your guests. We sincerely wish you all the happiness in your lives together.

ed for our honeymoon suite. The venue is a fishing lodge that has rooms, grounds, pool and restaurant. The staff was fantastic and the food was to die for. We were able to customize our menu to fit our wedding. to this day all our family and friends sill rave about the food. During the reception my husband and I never went without a drink. If our hand was empty the bartender was there to fill out hands without even asking if we were ready. i can not say enough to describe what a great place it was for a wedding.;the main dinning room can only fit 50 people. you can expand, but you would be better off renting a tent if you had more than 75 people attending. the grounds are large enough to handle this. if you are having a casual wedding, don't bother with renting a dance floor. we didn't and no one was hurt and we saved some money

han 125 guests I wouldn't consider the Tarpon. They can have the reception outdoors, but if it rains, there isn't enough room indoors.
