Taste Catering & Event Planning

We initially started planning our wedding in 2019, and selected Taste Catering from our venue's short-list of available caterers. We were blown away by the quality of the food at our tasting, and so impressed with everyone we worked with, especially Christopher. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, our March 2020 wedding did not happen as planned, but Christopher and Taste were so supportive and accommodating, and held on to our entire contract for us until we were finally able to reschedule our wedding in 2022. The new event was 100% worth the wait. The food and service were impeccable, and everyone from the team was a delight to work with. You could not possibly make a better choice for your wedding than to work with Taste.

Our venue had a short list of caterers that they worked with and we decided to go with Taste Catering after receiving a proposed menu through our planner. The real draw for us was the proposed Asian-Moroccan menu that sounded amazing (I'm Chinese and my husband is Moroccan). The tasting was very professionally done at their office in Millbrae and we really loved how they combined the flavors of our backgrounds in an elegant and tasteful way. We mainly worked with Shannon and Christopher and they were absolutely wonderful during the planning process. The final walkthrough was also very efficiently done and I felt very confident throughout the days leading up to the wedding. Day of, and everything was amazing! I left the set up and arrangement of the tables and chairs up to them and it was so well done within our space. All our guests were raving about the food, both during cocktail hour and dinner. There were always trays of food available during cocktail hour and we never had to look for a waiter for food or to take away glasses. Dinner was also well coordinated and my husband and I had one of the best servers who made sure we had everything we needed. I really appreciated all their work and the wonderful food!

Working with Taste made our wedding day flawless. After the venue selection, our 2nd priority was to chose a caterer and I can't express how happy we were to have them as our caterer. Starting from the beginning proposal period, Shannon was helpful in keeping our budget in mind, yet still giving us a one-of-a-kind culinary menu. Then going into the planning period and our wonderful tasting experience. Shannon and team made the whole process easy since we didn't have a planner. We used Taste for their catering, desert bar, alcohol, and drapery services, although their capabilities go above and beyond that. Chris stepped in when Shannon was off on maternity leave and he helped execute all of our wishes leading up to the big day. I would get married at least 5 more times to experience the appetizers again. We had the crab bisque, pork sliders, poke, fish tacos, and filet mignon all in the perfect bite size. For dinner we had a buffet to keep it a little less formal, and to wrap it up Taste did our desert bar as well. Shannon and Chris made sure we had a plate of the apps ready after our photos and they also assigned a server to us all night who did not disappoint. I could be bias since it was my wedding, but feedback from our guests confirm that Taste was one of the best!! We were 100% satisfied with our experience with Taste and their professionalism to make our wedding day not only flawless, but stress free! I would recommend them to anyone having an event in San Francisco if you want the A Team.

We had a large cocktail party rather a rehearsal the night before, and hired Taste Catering for the food, bar, and design services (coordination of rentals, etc.). We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. All of our 125+ guests seemed genuinely impressed by the food, and several approached us to compliment Taste's customer service. As a client, we couldn't have been more pleased, either. Mags, Billy and Tina were professional, thoughtful, and thorough. They took time to meet us at the venue (Asian Art Museum of SF) for a walkthrough, answered all our questions with a smile, and offered creative solutions to challenges. Incidentally, I have attended other events catered by Taste for large groups -- as large as 3,000 -- and all were exquisite.
