I had my wedding on the Princess and I can't stress enough on how amazing Amy Lynn and her team are to work with. We had a little hiccup where we were unable to leave the dock, which you would think would ruin a bride's day, but NO! The team made it the most amazing experience! They went beyond the extra mile to make it a great day. Most people complimented on the fact that they could have the option of getting off the boat a little earlier if need be with a "boat" experience due to some guest's reservations with COVID. I loved every aspect of it. I highly highly recommend Taylor Falls Boats for any occasion, but definitely a fun wedding venue. Great service, beautiful scenery, and amazing people to work with.
We had our wedding ceremony & reception at Wild Mountain! Our ceremony was held outside and our reception was in the Eagle's Nest! I cannot say enough good things about this venue! Simonne was our wedding coordinator and she was AMAZING!!! She was in contact with me about every detail and truly went above & beyond to make sure our day went smooth! We received many compliments on the food, we had the Italian Dinner, people absolutely loved the meatballs! The scenery was also beautiful for a fall wedding and the venue staff was so friendly and wonderful to work with! Thank you Wild Mountain!!!
We had a wonderful wedding day at Wild Mountain. Monique was so helpful on the day of and leading up to the wedding. The food was delicious!! The chalet had the casual/rustic feel that we were looking for, and the outdoor pergola area was perfect for our ceremony-- although I will note that we did have one group of awful teenagers drive by and yell "don't do it, it's a trap" just as I was walking down the isle-- not the fault of Wild Mountain, but just something to consider with an outdoor ceremony at a space when there are still people around. Overall, it was a great venue and we LOVED it! I would suggest Wild Mountain to more relaxed couples :)
Everything was wonderful. Monique and the Wild team were amazing! So easy to work with!
We had a beautiful reception and were very happy with everything at Wild Mountain. We loved the atmosphere. We loved the beautiful surroundings including the scenic drive by the river to get there. We loved the food. Everything went smooth, we couldn't ask for a better place for our reception!
Despite the cool, cloudy, and at times, drizzly weather, our Son’s Wedding was a complete success thanks to the Teams at Wild Mountain and the Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours.
There definitely were a few lessons to be learned for our next wedding from our end, but it was obvious that this venue knew what they were doing to ensure things on their end went well and we looked like we knew what we were doing!
Working with Julie and Sara, although they were probably sick of all of our calls and emails, couldn’t have been a better experience. Their patience and communication were exactly what we needed. Not too much, or too little, and they definitely brought things to our attention that we would have never thought of.
During the day of our event, with the ceremony aboard the Taylors Falls Princess and the reception following in the Eagle’s Next at Wild Mountain, Sara, Wild Mountain’s Event Coordinator, ensured things went as planned and helped by offering suggestions if something wasn’t quite as we expected, like when a member of the family hadn’t shown up yet as the boat was to depart. Throughout the afternoon and evening the entire staff was great and Sara stopped at nothing to go above and beyond our expectations.
The catering service provided by their team was also excellent. Efficient, Fast, and Friendly, and we had a number of positive comments regarding the food from our guests.
Thank you for making this wedding so successful and truly memorable!

We chose Wild Mountain because we could hold both the ceremony and the reception at the same location, but in separate rooms. The venue was also handicap accessible, which a big plus for us with an 86-yr old grandma in attendance! Wild Mountain also provides all the catering for venue, which, for us, was a plus. No worries about coordinating with multiple different services. Along with doing the catering, Wild Mountain was extremely willing to accomodate any menu changes, even working with us to create a "new" meal to serve at our reception dinner. The event coordinator is awesome to work with; she was professional, experienced, flexible, and made herself available for any questions or concerns. I would recommend Wild Mountain for any wedding or group event!
A wedding reception is an event that you want your guests to talk about for years to come. We were fortunate enough to have our reception at Wild Mountain and our guests are still reminding us of all the fun memories they have from our wonderful reception.
One of the compliments that we get the most from our guests had to do with the food at our reception. We had around 250 guests attend our wedding, which can be a tall order for any banquet hall to handle. Wild Mountain had no issue with our large number of guests and we were able to choose from a large section of meals. On our wedding day a countless number of people commented on the delicious food which was very important to me. The meal is such a large part of the reception and I was extremely happy with it.
The staff working your wedding can really make or break your big day. I knew from the first meetings I had with Julie and Sara that I would have the best staff. The entire Wild Mountain staff made it their business to make sure I had the best wedding reception. Throughout the entire night all of the servers were friendly and efficient. The only issue that arose was that fifteen guests showed up that did not RSVP. Obviously, this was not Wild Mountain’s fault but it was handled discreetly and with ease by our wedding coordinator Julie. This took a huge weight off my shoulders, knowing that I did not have to worry about anything.
Overall, our experience at Wild Mountain was phenomenal! I could not have asked for a better wedding reception; everything turned out perfectly down to the smallest detail. We were even able to take some photos on the ski runs which turned out to be some of our favorite pictures from the whole day.
This was a very cute venue for a great price ($500 room rental and $400 deposit) and to fit a large wedding reception. They were extremely flexible when we were an hour late getting to the reception from the ceremony. we received many complements on the food. Staff was very nice and courteous. Room has beautiful rustic outdoor decorations that would go well for any wedding.
My fiancee and I had our ceremony and reception at Wild Mountain on 10/22/11 and I must say I am very disappointed with how it turned out. To start, I got a call from our event planner (who was actually very pleasant to work with) the last week in September because she wanted a plate count for the catering and it turned out that they had the date of my wedding as October 8th on all their paperwork when it was actually the 22nd. That was not a big deal because it did not hurt anything, but clearly they don't have very good book-keeping if they get something like that mixed around. The first thing I must warn people about is the catering. Wild Mountain requires you to give them a plate count 10 days before the date of the reception. They also require you to pay for the catering at least 7 days before the date of the reception. We used RSVP cards to tally the plate count and had 145 people RSVP that they would be attending. Since we didn't hear from about 15 people, we bumped it up to 150 as our plate count. Only about 90 of the people who RSVPed that they would be attending actually came and ate, so there were 50+ plates that were not used. In the contract you must sign when you put down your deposit for the reception, it says that you cannot take any of the extra food home with you AND that your guests can only go through the buffet line ONCE. And the staff watch your guests like a hawk and shut the doors to the buffet room almost instantly after the last person is finished dishing up. So since we did not pay attention to the fine print of the contract, we ended up loosing 700+ dollars on the catering bill in uneaten food. The staff is also EXTREMELY rude. The reception room was so cold on the night of my wedding that we actually had some guests who left right after they ate because they were literally freezing. A lot of our guests had to put their coats on to warm up. My step father asked a bartender to have someone turn the air conditioning off because people were freezing and not even five minutes later my mother overheard a serving staff member say "they will be bitching in 15 minutes that it's too hot in here." I was furious to find this out the day after our wedding! How completely unprofessional! You can rent a room called the Bears Den for the ceremony, but I would not recommend that either. The windows in this room were FILTHY dirty and Wild Mountain didn't bother to clean them before our big day. They also failed to vacuum the floor in the Bears Den before our ceremony and in the left hand corner of the room by the emergency exit, there was a HUGE pile of dead asian beetles and box elder bugs that no one bothered to clean up. The window sills in the reception room, The Eagles Nest, were also filled with dead bugs as well and the floor was in desperate need of a vacuum as well. The only positive aspect of the night was that the food is excellent and tastes divine. The buffet is also set up so four lines of people can go through them at once so our guests got through the line very, very quickly. But overall, we are very displeased with Wild Mountain, the horrid condition of the rooms we rented, the rude staff, and the terrible catering terms and conditions they force upon you.
