TCP Catering

nce with TCP was the tasty food. We fell in love with our chosen dishes during our tasting with Jennifer. She was amazing. To say the service and communication was lacking is an understatement. We were contracted to provide a final head count 10 days prior to the event and final payment 7 days prior to the event. Honestly, if my wife was not as organized and hadn't had reminders to follow up, I don't think Scott would have ever reached out to confirm whether we were going to pay or not. Yes, he was responsive when we reached out each time, but it's the fact we had to reach out to him about money for his business. More lack of communication was shown the day of the event. The catering staff was punctual, but didn't connect with us at all. When we brought this up to the owner, he stated that they connected with the venue staff as they worked with the venue fairly often and try to remain less intrusive to the Bride, Groom, etc. I'm sure some may enjoy this method, but it didn't rub us the right way as WE were the ones paying them and counting on service, not the venue staff. During the reception they made sure to serve the wedding party first as expected with any wedding. There were many people raving over the food and wanted more right after their first plate but unfortunately, the food disappeared, but not because it was all eaten. It was because the staff had already packed it up and placed it in the fridge. The contracted time for them to leave was 9pm. Scott defended that staff left at 8:45ish. Our guest, wedding party, and even his employee Mallory, during our conference phone call, stated that the van left at 7:15 which obviously means the food had to be broken down before that. Our first plates were served around 6:45 . You do the math! Between the two of us we have 10 years of service experience in the food and beverage industry. Our phone call to Scott was only to give our perspective and advise on how we could have been provided with better service. We were only met with rebuttals and no effort to be receptive. They are probably great to cater a lunch meeting, but I wouldn't count on them for something that should be as important, memorable, and EXPENSIVE as a wedding until better forms of communication are set even if it is just a questionnaire sent to couples prior to the event about preferences. I hope this review helps this business because we see potential, and we truly want all the success for them! They have great food and great prices, but service, communication, and accountability lacked and that's where we draw the line.

My reason for putting 4 stars instead of 5 is accommodating 1 vegetarian guest was more difficult than anticipated. In addition, we had a fairly significant price hike from our original quote to the final contract due to a price increase that happened in between those two time periods and additional labor needed to support our venue. All that to say, the food and service is great and I would recommend TCP for other weddings.

They spilled wine on a guest, they didn’t cut and serve the cake like we asked them to, then they placed it outside when instructed to serve to each guest. The rolls were stale and hard, steaks were cooked inconsistently. And we asked for vegan meals didn’t get those, also had gluten free request, servers didn’t even know if the meal was gluten free and gave us attitude. 🤷‍♀️ maybe it was an off night, just sucks cause they were highly recommended. Oh and the chargers were not the ones i had requested. Even though that’s not that big of a deal.

My husband and I were so busy, we didn’t have a chance to eat the appetizers, but the on site caterers made sure we got a plate without even asking! They were on top of everything!! I would strongly recommend their services. It was worth every dollar.

We really liked that TCP offers a self-serve buffet so guests can get their food quickly. In comparing prices, we could get two entrees where other companies would only offer one entree. a phenomenal job. They are by far the one vendor who knocked it out of the park with communicating and they helped me execute on the wedding of my dreams. They also do free tastings before and we loved that experience and the whole setup that they had. For dinner we had the brown sugar pork loin and Mediterranean chicken and the food was amazing. Thank you TCP catering for all of your hard work. We highly recommend.

re in Texas but the team handled it with such professionalism. Nathan and Daniel were so helpful and always willing to jump in. The guests loved the apps, food and they even checked on the couple many times throughout dinner. Highly recommend!

thing we asked him was if the staff would be able to help clean up or serve when time came for the toast (just pass out bottles). He said if it was done within that time frame that yes it would be something he would tell his staff to help with. Fast forward day of the wedding. As soon as the staff was done serving, I kid you not they packed up and we’re ready for payment. They made such a scene when my brother in law and sister tried to tell them what Danny had said. (They left well before they said they would). The staff told me brother in law and my sister they weren’t told to do that and wouldn’t do it. Needless to say they came to some agree to help at least clear of some plates. They dragged around a huge trash can going from table to table in the middle of our first dance with such a horrible attitude I was told by several guests. Overall it wasn’t a good experience. Really disappointed in the service and the food was alright it wasn’t how it was when we had tried it.

nce the last 2 weddings we went to ran out of appetizers. So we added one more appetizer and Scott assured me we will not run out! Not only did we have plenty, all my guest raved about how delicious they were. The dinner was amazing, not your typical wedding food. A step above! Everyone enjoyed it and we received raved reviews! Job well done TCP. I will use them in the future.

d cost cutting suggestions, and was open to anything we wanted. The food tasted great, was presented well, and we had plenty of it for our guests. I received lots of feedback from wedding guests on how great the food was. The staff the night of the event were all polite, well dressed, and were attentive and thoughtful towards our guests. I will definitely use them for any future catering needs and would highly recommend them.

delicious. Everyone at the reception kept commenting on how good it was - and not just for wedding food. It’s just plain delicious. They made sure my husband and I had some hors d’oeuvres at the head table in case we didn’t get any during the cocktail hour. The salmon canapés were absolutely delicious, as well as the brie tarts and chicken wings. The catering staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that all of our guests were served timely and with the kindest attitudes. Thank you for the excellent service and patience!

eared -almost 1/2 of the tables had about 1/2 of the plates and flatware left on them. He told me they tried to clear them but people were still eating. He had sent all the servers home. They packed up everything including all the drinks 90 minutes before the wedding ended and left saying that their contract ended at cake cutting. He was very nice to deal with up until the event and then had an attitude anytime anyone asked about something.

When I explained to one of their staff I was hoping to have real china at my wedding, he was happy to provide it--but also tried to talk me into the cheaper disposable option. He had no reason to do this except to save us money. When COVID wrecked our original April 2020 wedding, Scott replied to our request to change our date very simply and said to let him know about our new date--he was grateful for our business and wouldn't fuss or charge us extra. He kept to this promise even when new COVID regulations required him to supply extra staff at our wedding and increased his costs. Oh, and finally--the food was just tasty. We didn't end up serving it at our wedding, but the broccoli casserole is DELICIOUS and tasted straight out of grandma's kitchen.

They made us feel so at ease that everything was taken care of. Scott even went above and beyond helping with a few things that didn't actually fall under his responsibilities. te wedding to ensure the safety our guests during this crazy pandemic. My parents offered their backyard and we invited 120 guests. Needless to say, we were stressed about finding a caterer on such short notice. I called Scott the week of the wedding, we planned a menu on the phone, he gave me a quote and he schedule a tasting, all within one hour. After we tasted the food and met with Scott, we knew TCP was our caterer. Scott and his team delivered as promised. Our guests loved everything from the appetizers to the main course. During such a stressful time in our lives (especially due to COVID-19), Scott ensured that the food was one thing we did not have to stress about! Thank you, TCP!!

to covid19 we had to cancel that large, traditional wedding that required a caterer. when we called to cancel the event with tcp, they were completely understanding, and gave us the entire amount of money we paid them back - no hassle, and, they were sympathetic, too, which was very heart warming. when the refund check came, there was a handwritten note elaborating on the sympathy they had for us. 100% would use tcp again for any catering we need in the future. thank you very much, Scott.

He had just catered my brothers wedding in April and at no point was I concerned about the menu options, pricing, or Scott's willingness to deliver the highest level of customer service and again, he and his team exceeded my expectations on wedding day. They were present on time and on the ball to meet both vendors and guests needs, providing gluten free meals for my band, the most beautiful fruit cheese and hors d'oeuvres display ever, and passed delicious appetizers and bites that guests raved about all night! His pricing is consistently fair and he is always transparent in what is included. He is actually catering my brother in-law's wedding in two weeks and we will continue to use TCP for any and every event for his professionalism and reliability.

h makes them 4-5 stars. Lack of consideration, communication and professionalism. This was a recommended caterer from my BOOKED venue. This person Scott Vickers was absolutely rude. Basically told me that December 2021 is popular for them and don’t need my business. Granted my little black face is attached to my email. I don’t mind being direct. But the lack of professionalism and understanding is ridiculous. I have reached out through 3 different avenues unintentionally so it is understandable to get lost in emails. This person even said that they assumed that I was able to get them. This process is stressful already and I would think a caterer since 1970s would understand that. But no! Don’t waste your time here. The website is decent and they were one of my top choices. The pictures online do not match what’s listed on the online menu. HENCE THE EMAIL REQUEST FOR A FULL MENU. An ugly person inside is also an ugly person on the outside.
