We recently had our wedding at this hotel, and it was an absolutely perfect day! We initially chose the hotel because of how beautiful it is, but we got so much more than we expected. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making our experience exceptional. Our day-of coordinator even mentioned how easy it was to work with this venue compared to others because of their responsiveness and helpfulness.
When we check-in, we were greeted as the bride and groom, and we were surprised with champagne and chocolate strawberries in our room after the wedding. The attention to detail and thoughtful touches made our wedding unforgettable.
If you get the pleasure of working with Daniel Batson and the entire staff, they’ll be sure to go above and beyond to make your wedding day so special.
The Terrace Hotel staff was amazing and so communicative. Sam was very responsive and great to work with. The venue is small you will only be able to hold about 50 people in the ballroom but if you’re already planning on a more intimate wedding it will work.
We knew we wanted a small wedding (27 guests were invited, 20 were there) and the Lake Mirror Room at the Terrace was perfect. They changed management after we booked and we worked with Jena for the final months leading up the wedding. Jena is a rockstar and a seasoned veteran with coordinating events! She put so many of my worries at ease and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of! Her communication was great and was just a pleasure to work with. We did a ceremony in the Lake Mirror Room, cocktail hour on the porch, and then dinner in the Lake Mirror room. They had everything we needed (table linens, napkins, name cards) so I didn’t have to make or rent anything besides favors and flower pedestals. We had h’orve dorves for cocktail hour and were able to pick 4 entrees that our guests could choose from. Everyone raved about the food and those who had the filet said it was the best filet they ever had. I talked to my one grandma and uncle yesterday and they still are raving about the food and service a month later! I would highly recommend working with Jena and the Terrace Hotel!
Our out-of-town guests loved this charming hotel. It's located right next to where we held our reception, so it was very convenient. We also rented a suite to get ready in before the wedding and it was very spacious. We loved it & it also made for some very nice photos. It's such a unique building. We held a morning-after brunch for our guests and the food was very tasty. Overall a nice hotel and worth the expense.
Ryan, the Director of Catering, was amazing. He sat down and helped plan all the details of the reception. I wish I would have taken more of his recommendations, since he knows the venue better. The isn't an ATM onsite, so I recommend guest bring cash if they intend on drinking.
The food was great, but the upstairs area is very hot. The building is old and kept up, but the A/C wasn't the best. The ballroom is very small and I would not recommend having more than 100 people. We chose a cocktail style reception to allow for more movement. Overall guest were satisfied, but only about half of the guest had seats.
The terrace was very accommodating and helpful! They were in constant contact with us about our bookings and very willing to help with anything. LOVED the bridal suite for getting ready for my special day! They even had a really nice greeting on the television in the lobby for my wedding guests.
The Terrace Hotel was great! The evernt coordinator Ryan was so very helpful, friendly and knowlegable. He made the experience wonderful! I had my evening reception there and the only problem I had with them was that the food came out too slowly and some of our guests were starving. As soon as we expressed that concern the service picked up. I would definitely recommend the Terrace, they were outstanding
The fact that they had onsite catering and wedding planning, the fact that it was a historic, well known local hotel, people often associate it with wealth.
