Located in the heart of Pioneer Square in Seattle Washington, THE 101 is an industrial-chic, blank-canvas venue full of possibilities.
THE 101 features a unique combination of red and white brick walls, ample natural light and expansive ceilings, creating a stunning ambiance that needs very little, if any, decor. However, we’ve seen clients take this flexibility and create some of the most stunning events.
THE 101 can accommodate a seated reception of up to 200 guests, and many more for a cocktail-style reception.
THE 101 welcomes you to choose your own vendors and can provide you with a list of recommended partners.
THE 101 offers 24 hour rentals so that you can have the venue from 10am on the day of your event to 10am the following day, allowing you plenty of time to set-up and celebrate.
Couples can also choose from a range of decor and services to elevate their celebration – from a photo booth, draping, a ceremony arch and more.
Included with the space rental are tables and chairs for 200 of your favorite people, cocktail tables, a statement making bar. Plus, THE 101 is pet-friendly so your favorite fur friend can be part of the celebration as well.
The team at THE 101 understands how much work goes into a wedding and will strive to create a seamless experience in the lead-up to your big day. You will be provided with a concierge to answer all of your questions about the venue.

It’s hard to put into words just how incredible The 101 was throughout the entire experience. From the very beginning before we even decided, they were the easiest venue to book a tour and communicate our ideas with. We really struggled with other venues being accommodating with our working schedules, and the 101 was so easy to work with.
We used their partial planning services and it was worth every penny. Alison helped us bring every dream we had to life, even when we changed our mind or went back and forth. She communicated with our vendors, saw to every detail, was very responsive to our emails, and most importantly, she was incredibly supportive and kind! Every second of the day was accounted for and every decision was made ahead of time.
And the actual day of… wow. We knew it would go well because we trusted them, but we had no idea just how amazing they would truly be. Sam and Emily set the place up perfectly. And when things came up throughout the day, they handled everything smoothly.
There were so many special details they paid attention to, but what blew me away the most was how they always made sure we were taken care of. When we needed a moment away after the ceremony they made sure we got that. They made sure we were fed (which is so important and often overlooked on your wedding day!) and kept the day flowing according to our plan.
We cannot imagine booking with a different venue. The 101 was genuinely happy and excited for us and we appreciate all of the hard work that went into making our special day perfect!

The 101 is an amazing venue!
We particularly appreciated the configurability of the space: you can use drapes to create different areas for the ceremony, reception, and dance floor, which simplified the day-of logistics a lot. Being able to book it for a whole 24h also made our lives much easier: they had the whole day to set up decor, plus we were able to party until 2am, get some sleep, and come pick up the decor the next day.
The planning staff were highly professional, reliable, and flexible which made our wedding preparations smooth. I was impressed at their fluency in different cultural wedding traditions and their openness to non-traditional styles.

The 101 was the perfect venue for our wedding day. The space itself is beautiful. The staff was great and very communicative from our first tour all the way through actual wedding day. Alison and Emily knew the venue and surrounding areas very well, as we battled both a Mariner's game and Sounders game day of our wedding. We were still able to start on time and enjoy the evening knowing we were in good hands. I would highly recommend The 101 for your next event!

The 101 was the first and only venue we ever looked at for our wedding -- the price was right and the space is so beautiful. The staff was extremely communicative from day one and we love that we could go see the venue as much as we wanted during Walkthrough Wednesdays. It really helped with the planning process!
We really loved that we could bring in our own vendors (save for bartenders, but we absolutely loved one of their preferred vendors), and that was a huge selling point for us.
From adding draping, to having a huge space for us to do any layout we wanted, to having a street exit that made it easy access for a food truck, this space is truly a blank canvas! We loved all of the brick and fun details. It is also situated in the perfect spot -- easy access to many beautiful photo locations around Pioneer Square and very easy for guests to get to whether they're driving or taking transit.
Could not recommend this venue more!

The 101 was such a beautiful venue for our June 2024 wedding! The wood pillars and exposed brick were so beautiful for photos and the lighting is incredible! The venue coordinators were so responsive and helpful and helped us with additional decorations at the venue such as the curtain draping. We highly recommend this venue for its great price point as well!

I fell in love when I first saw the 101, even my husband too. We booked this place immediately and we are so grateful that Alison helped us out so much. I had so many questions and concerns since I had never done this before. She is definitely above and beyond. This venue is gorgeous and they have all the things you need, chairs tables, cocktail tables, and many other things. I really happy I got so many cute photos and this venue made us so happy.

Having our wedding ceremony and reception at the 101 was an easy choice. We wanted a city environment for our wedding and the not only was the venue location perfect for that but the amenities and service provided had the choice even easier. We appreciated all of the different options for the event that the venue provided and were happily assisted throughout the process by the staff. We felt assured on our special day due to the addition of security which gave us peace of mind for us and our guests. For anyone looking for a city environment, the 101 is a stellar venue due to their amenities, modern feel and great service.

Great venue that holds 200 guests, very flexible with vendors you are able to bring in as well. The 101 has a large space for any needs and very versatile. Communication was great with any questions through out the entire process with quick responses, would recommend.

Ally (our wedding planner through the 101) and the 101 team were absolutely wonderful in helping us plan our celebration and the venue was perfect. They truly made us feel like we were their only clients. The venue has so much character, yet it's so customizable depending on how you want it set up. I can't recommend Ally enough - she was SO on top of everything for us so we didn't have to stress at all. I don't know how they do it so gracefully (I would be stressed out of my mind with so many events going on) - the service really is above and beyond.

We had our wedding reception here in September and The 101 truly exceeded our expectations. We opted for the partial planning wedding package and Alison was our wedding planner. She did a great job, was a pleasure to work with, she was super communicative and made sure everything was done with all vendors and coordination. Not to mention The 101 team made the venue look incredible. The only thing I would change is that I would have done the entire planning package because our experience was so great-it is totally worth it.
The venue is beautiful and spacious. It's also in a perfect area for taking wedding photos. The rental also comes with table and chairs. We decided to add the photo both last minute and it turned out to be one of the best parts of the reception. We had a great experience with The 101.

I will recommend the team and the space at the 101 repeatedly.
My partner and I booked our NYE wedding at the 101 and added the partial planning package on (with a few other additions). The team at the 101 are amazing, they kept us moving forward and on track with all of our bookings and when we were stumped on how to get where we wanted to be, they had very helpful ideas and suggestions. Our wedding was spectacular, and they were just a huge part of making it so.
The space is expansive and totally customizable, we had so much fun coming up with décor ideas and they all worked because of the flexibility of the space; some of the decor included multiple disco balls hanging from the ceiling, a balloon net for a balloon drop at midnight, tape decorations on the walls, etc.
Having the 24-hr rental period was a lifesaver, being able to leave that night and not have to worry about bringing everything out at that moment was amazing. We returned in the morning and gathered all of our leftover belongings knowing they were safely stored for us overnight. Which on NYE was very helpful, and meant we didn't have to pay additional vendor fees for a pickup after midnight on a holiday.

A year ago I got married to the love of my life here and it was amazing. The staff at The 101 were able to answer all of our questions, both about the venue and about wedding ceremonies in general, giving us a lot of help figuring out what we wanted and what vendors to choose. They helped make the best day of my life possible. The venue itself is pretty spacious too!

Sound Originals Photo & Video has filmed and photographed multiple weddings at The 101 and we are always excited to go back! This is an incredible wedding venue! It is a versatile space, with a charming historical vibe. We always capture incredible photos/video here. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding! The 101 has beautiful brick walls, floor-ceiling windows, wood and concrete columns and is big enough for a ceremony and reception all in one. Even better - the booking is for 24 hours so you can come back in the morning to finalize your clean up. The 101 staff was great to work with, responsive, and helped up make our vision a reality.
We originally booked this venue in 2019 for a 2020 wedding. Because of COVID we had to postpone (twice...) and the staff were great at accommodating our needs. What a great place to have your wedding!

As a planner, I love working at The 101 because not only the the staff friendly, professional and accommodating, they are easy to work with, timely, communicative, and supportive before, during and even after the event. One of the best venues in Seattle to work with, and you get to take in the exposed bricks for that classic Pioneer Square vibe with a modern twist and a huge space to make your vision come to life. Plus, you're surrounded by the city and the water for amazing photos! I love THE 101!

We ultimately had three wedding dates due to Covid. The 101 was great at helping us move our wedding around. Emily was very helpful and responsive. She went above and beyond the weekend of our wedding. The space is great--we ultimately had a fairly small wedding (~60 people) and we were able to use the space as a ceremony, dinner, and reception space without moving things around throughout the night. The perks of a 24 hour rental are not to be ignored as we were able to come back the following morning and finish packing up the venue. I would highly recommend checking it out and seeing if it works for your wedding vision!
I got married at The 101 on July 6, 2019. Not only am I lucky to have gotten married before the pandemic hit, but I am so lucky to have gotten married at The 101.
There were so many things I loved about our wedding - but The 101 and my Sarah Seven dress are tied for first place.
I discovered The101 before it was even open. I toured when it was under construction and fell in love with the space the minute I stepped foot in the door - even though it was covered in dust and tarps. Actually I think I fell in love with it just walking up alongside the building, with the brick, and perfect Pioneer Square Doors and incredible hanging flower pots. And when the space was finally done - it was perfect to me. It was modern without being too modern, a little rustic with the beams and brick, had incredible lighting at all times of the day - with the floor to ceiling windows that gave a sense of openness and made you feel good about having an indoor wedding on a beautiful summer day.
I also very much enjoyed planning our wedding with my 101 Coordinator. She was extremely responsive and on top of things, and helped me work thru all the changes that fell in my way. Because the space was such a beautiful blank slate, it was a fun challenge to plan our big day from where the DJ would be, to where the ceremony would happen to how the direction of the tables for dinner. From day one I knew that everything was under control and taken care of. I enjoyed the planning process with my Coordinator (who I now consider a friend) so much I would do it over and over again if I could!
And then there was the big day. It went off without a hitch. Everything was better than I even could have even imagined. Countless guests came up to me to tell me how beautiful and wonderful the venue was.
Absolutely do not use this venue!!! They took $5,000 from us and all they did was show us around a couple of times. We tried to even just broker a deal only get half of our money back, due to Covid, but they refused. They were completely unsympathetic to our situation, took our money, and we never heard from them again. If I could give them negative stars I would. They took almost weeks sometimes to get back to us, took all of our money for doing nothing, and did not seem to care about their customers at all. PLEASE save yourself some heartache, and use a different venue. And if you do use them, do not give them a single CENT until you absolutely have to.
We had a wedding planned in April 2020. Due to Covid-19, the city had shut down all gatherings and we could not go through with our original wedding plans. It was to our great disappointment that the 101 made these unexpected changes even worse when they refused to give us back ANY money. This was unreasonable considering they were not able to provide us any services. We lost 6k and we know that many other wedding venues have been much more understanding and forgiving in this area. We are sad and disappointed by this.
The 101 is one of my favorite venues in Seattle! In the heart of Pioneer Square it’s so convenient for your event and I LOVE how the space is so versatile. With the red brick, white brick and huge windows there are so many different backdrops that you can create multiple different vibes and because everything is neutral you can really make it anything you want it to be. Grace and Sara are so great to deal with and everything was just so seamless and easy. Excited to go back for another event in October, if not before!
THE 101 is such a perfect location for any event at the heart of Seattle. The staff running the location are incredibly accommodating and responsive! We would definitely recommend THE 101 for any event from wedding to video productions.
I loved having my wedding at THE 101 - the space is spacious and stunning, and it was perfect for me since I planned my entire wedding. Having the vendor flexibility is so great. The team was also so amazing to work with, both leading up to the day, and during the event.
We rented the space the day before the wedding, which was a game changer for set up and prep. If you have the budget to do this, I HIGHLY recommend it. Once we costed out the rehearsal dinner at nearby restaurants, it wasn't that much more expensive to just rent THE 101.
Some things to be aware of: getting the venue at 10am on the day of the wedding means you may not be able to have a rehearsal the night before and load in/set up is very tight.
Other highlights:
The tables and chairs they provide are great
The venue doesn't need much decor
They provide you access to All Seated to design your seating chart/design/etc. and it was really helpful
The 101 and their team made my wedding day perfect. I always felt like I was in great hands and I had zero stress on the day of because I knew that my coordinator had everything all set (and I had 260 people at my wedding!). They have great relationships with so many different vendors, and truly made my dreams come true. I would highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone.
Amazing space in the heart of downtown Seattle! Everyone on the 101 team was so helpful and responded very quickly any time I tried to get a hold of them.

As professional event and interior designers, our team visits and works in a lot of spaces in and around Seattle. We were thrilled to recently discover The 101 and throw a large holiday party for one of our favorite corporate clients.
The Space- The 101 is a gorgeous venue with brick walls, huge windows and space for days. Each detail was custom designed for the space and our client. We so enjoyed transforming the space into a winter wonderland! The 101 has great bones and a blank canvas allowing for a great deal of creativity in bringing your vision to life.
We can't wait to get back and work with their phenomenal team.
I am a production manager for The Big Fake Wedding and we recently hosted our Seattle event, with 250 + guests, at The 101 and it was remarkable. The venue is located right in Pioneer Square, a lively and fun part of town. The interior of the space is gorgeous with multiple textures that allow for diversity of creativity with your backdrops. There are brick walls, white brick walls, simple white walls, and floor to ceiling windows that allow for gorgeous natural light to stream through. The space is really a beautiful canvas for any social event, styled shoot, or wedding.
As if the space was not stellar enough, the staff was so great to work with. Sara and Gordon primarily aided us and they were so pleasant, professional, and willing to accomodate our event needs well.
Overall, our experience at The 101 was fabulous. From start to finish they made us feel cared for and supported. I would highly recommend the 101 to anyone searching for their next event venue.
